Dormy Inn Kurashiki Natural Hot Spring in Okayama

Cant beat the location, hot spring, and although the rooms could use a little upgrade, everything else, from service to freebies, this is a great place to stay.

Date of visit: Juli 2019Location: Right across the old town. Very accessible and with a Conbini (convenience storeright on the corner of the street.Onsen: NICE! Very very nice, with the exception of a TV inside the sauna, which was quite loud and we couldnt turn it off.Rooms: Nice! Clean and modern.Breakfast: Unknown. We had to leave very early, so had to skip breakfast. But considering its a Dormy Inn hotel, im assuming it would be quite decent.If im ever in kurashiki, i will probably return to this hotel. it was pretty nice. Including the complimentary bowl of ramen in the evening.

The hotel got the best location and better prices compared to its surrounding hotels!!! Just next to the Bikian Kurashiki Histroical Quarter so that you can visit the beautiful canal street at day and night. Their rooms are relatively big in general Japan standard. The hot spring is a bit small but nice. Their welcome drink and free supper noodles make you feel home. The only downside is the room view as i have paid more for the room with view, in return well it is just a normal view of local residences.

Good location and proximity to the old quarter. Has a public bath where you can relax after a long walk. Hotel serves ramen for supper for free. Breakfast choices are reasonable good. More tourists then business travellers. There is no restaurant in the hotel but plenty around. Warning. You better book your dinner place on advance to avoid disappointment as rhey are quickly filled

A nice hotel with a roof top hot spring which contain hot pool, open pool, cold pool and steam room. There were two resting room with free television and pay massage chairs. Free Japanese noodle was offered at 9 pm.One front desk staff could speak simple English. The car park was located behind the hotel and needed to access through a narrow road but the staff there could speak English too. Room size relatively small.

First off, please notice that the carpark is an elevator one which is located behind the hotel, not next to it, so dont confuse yourself or get penalized. Once you get in, staff are helpful and sincere. We got our rooms in a pretty smooth fashion, and the staff promptly dealt with our requests. The room is nice with good amount of space to move around. The Onsen itself is enjoyable, though there are only two to pick and they consist of the same type of water, while the outdoor one does not actually provide any views. Location-wise, its located next to a Family Mart, and also very close to a wide range of restaurants, even the department stores are just few blocks away, so quite convenient.
