Dorado Club in Puerto Escondido

UPDATE - (Dorado has gone out of business- This may be one of the BEST fish tacos in a town with GREAT fish tacos. GREAT food, GREAT service, GREAT Restaurante!! Delicioso!!!

We went there because it had good reviews. When we got there it was empty and I didnt like that as I know empty places mean it is no good food but I decided to give it a go as we really were craving for fish tacos. The waiter was lovely, the owner came and didnt even say hello, I thought it looked terrible. The order of shrimp tacos had just 2 tacos when normally they have three in most places. The fish taco was average, the shrimp taco had tiny shrimps, nothing like in the photos. It was tasty BUT I got food poisoning from the shrimp. I was vomiting as soon as we got to the Airbnb. Very disappointed with this place.

Not the greatest service. They add a percentage to your bill if you pay with card. The machine takes long to process your payment. Tacos did not live up to the hype. I went simply because the Google reviews were great- not the case when you go in person.

Some of the best fish tacos i had in Mexico.The sashimi are more like a ceviche peruano a with soy sauce but its délicious

The best shrimp taco in the history of life, the world, and everything. I would come back to this town just for these tacos, even the condiments are exceptional. This should be high on your list.

So delicious! Tacos are AWESOME! The salad & octopus was amazing! The margaritas are a must, they were frozen and so refreshing.

Solo he comido los tacos de pescado y de camarón. Son buenos, bastante buenos.No se si son una receta original o una fusión del taco estilo baja con un toque personal. Lo cierto es que van acompañados de una ración generosa de verduras: col morada rábanos, tomate, papas salteadas y un carrusel de salsas varias muy bien logradas.El punto flaco es que el servicio es lento y que no hay vino por copa, solo por botella.Fuera de eso, la experiencia es buena.Los precios... precios turísticos, $55 pesos por taco 🌮, eso sí, bastante generosa, como dije antes, la ración.

El mejor lugar para deleitarte con un plato de cualquier tipo de comida de mar. Los pescados y mariscos están cocinados a la perfección, sabrosos y presentados muy bien. Es un execelente lugar para una cena en pareja o con amigos.

Definitivamente, 5 estrellas! La chica que atiende es muy atenta. La comida es excelente, no solo la calidad de los productos sino también la presentación de los platos. Sin duda alguna lo recomiendo. Los tacos de atún, deliciosos al igual que el guacamole. Dato no menor, aceptan tarjeta Visa.

Amazing value for the quality of the food. $45 pesos might seem pricey for one taco, but when you see it, you will understand. These are gourmet tacos with a sizable chunk of fresh, perfectly grilled fish.

Une excellente surprise, il ne paie pas de mine mais en y allant sur recommandation de la pousada Bonobo c’est tout simplement génial !Un vrai délice, du poisson frais, une présentation magnifique. De très loin le meilleur de tout notre séjour au Mexique sur le plan culinaire !

Best shrimp tacos in Pto.Escondido hands down

A total Surprise. Seriously - they advertise their menu in brief fashion on a chalk board - for example Octopus Taco.I was expecting a few pieces of rubbery octopus slices and a limey salsa. What I received was a work of art. A whole chunk of octopus that had been marinated, boiled and finished with what seemed like caramelised honey. To call it a taco is almost an insult.The shrimp taco I had was similarly incredibly done and finished with all sorts of additional beautiful herbs. It was partially dressed with what turned out to be chapulinas mayo (grasshopper).For a starter, we had sashimi, which was beautifully done.To compare to old viejo tacos (lonely planet special- well, this place doesnt compare, its a million miles better.

This place is sooo good!! Their margaritas are mint basil and their tacos have a ton of flavor. Might be my favorite place to eat in puerto so far!
