Don Patron Mexican Grille in Morgantown

Good restaurant with good food and service. Conveniently located.Staff was made aware of no towels in bathroom but did not fix problem during visit. Not good given the SARS COVID epidemic.

My husband, daughter, and I ate at Don Patron on 9/27/20. We were able to sit outside to dine, on a beautiful evening, which was a plus. The prices, atmosphere, and food were great! We had a really good waiter. We will definitely go again soon!

Had a pleasure to have a lunch here. Food is ok, just the they do not understand English well, they also unable to explain about main meals in English. Had hard time guessing what the waiter was saying.

My favorite Mexican place Ive ever been to and my favorite spot to eat in Morgantown. The food and the service is always top notch

Im one who would much rather be giving a great review but when an establishment has service as poor as the service I experienced this evening all future customer should be made aware. This was our first visit to Don Patron. The server took our order delivered our drinks(ice teathen delivered our food and never returned for nearly 45 minutes. No refills on drinks, was not asked if everything was okay at checkout Poorly ran establishment. The food was just okay not quality Mexican.I would not recommend this establishment.

Menu and food quality is typical of most Mexican restaurants in the area. Seems like they have their menus ordered from the same place, and just change the name on the cover. Service was attentive, and the price was fair. Restrooms need attention, updated and cleaned.

Normally a good place to eat, last time service was horrible, food was burnt. I know everyone has bad days but numerous ughs in one visit...waited for 45 minutes for food. That never happens at a Mexican restaurant!

The food was great, the service was just okay.

We used to love eating here but over the last year and a half the food has gone down hill. I have given it several 2nd chances and wont be returning after yesterdays meal. Go somewhere else.

Convenient location right off the interstate. Friendly staff. Good variety. Good food!

Food was good. Service was HORRIBLE. Slow. No silverware until after had food over 5 minutes. No refills. No extra napkins. And we were a party of 7!

Unfortunately, i was a bit disappointed. The highlight of our dinner is usually the white queso dip, but this one had no real flavor. I ordered chile relleno and was expecting something that wasnt deep fried... It was close to the house, but I think well travel a bit further next time.

The food here was typical Mexican fare. It was good but not remarkable. The salsa was a bit bland and our service was incredibly slow (we did not receive drink refills until after our food was already finished). We will likely visit other Mexican restaurants in the area before we go back to this one.

Good food. Same menu as Los. Waiters arent outstanding so I only gave 4 stairs, but theyre not bad.

this is a nice restaurant if you like Mexican food. I could take it or leave it. But it tastes the same as every other mexican restaurant I have ate at. Just average.

Waited 10 minutes to be seated because no idy bothered checking the door. Waited some more for my order to be taken, nobody ever came. Everyone around me got their orders taken, including the 2 guys who came in after me. I finally left without ever having anyone say a word to me after being seated. I used to love this place. I dont live in town now so this was my first stop in a while and I wont bother in the future.

The Mexican restaurants in Fairmont are better. The fajitas were over cooked and dried out. Service was a little slow and prices seemed a little high.

Food was great! The waiter was polite, efficient & attentive! Definitely reccomend!

If I could give it a zero stars, I would.First, we ran out of chips. Even when they brought out queso, they didn’t refill chips. I sat there for 5 minutes before finally asking for chips to dip in the queso which was now cold.Then, they brought out the food... FYI, they put retried beans on everything despite not saying it on the menu. I told the waiter I didn’t want the refried beans on my burrito since the menu never mentioned it so he walked away. I waited around 6 minutes until I saw another waiter walk by and asked about my food. It was never put in. So he went back and started making my food. My friends were already finished eating by now.When they brought out my food, we asked for boxes to leave because the service was so terrible. From them bringing us boxes to paying, it took 15 minutes because waiters kept forgetting to come back.It was the WORST experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I would NOT recommend.

The food is very bland without much flavor. The sauce made my stomach hurt... Not a very good place to eat.

I t was very crowded and a bit slow on getting the food we orderd and they gave our food to someone else and the bathroom was a little dirty but the food is good👍

I like going to this Mexican restaurant because it seems a little newer and nicer than some of the others in town. I also like coming here because it usually seems to be less busy and quieter than some of the other Mexican restaurants. The food is good. The service is good and fast. The food is reasonable priced and the kid’s menu is good.

Great tacos and rice. Authentic Mexican food. Lots of good flavor in the food. Its like a trip to Mexico! Well done.

The pork carnitas are excellent! All of our meals were well prepared and delicious.

So I will say that I almost never leave negative reviews, and am usually pretty forgiving for what seems to be rushed wait staff, etc. This service is absolutely awful. When we arrived to the restaurant it was 8:15, and we asked if they were still seating since they close at 9. The man at the counter never actually answered the question, but stared at us awkwardly until we finally had to break this awkward silence and say, "table for two?". He still doesnt say anything, but grabs two menus and we follow him to the table. We get waters, the usual. When he brings the water and chips, he just sort of... sets it on the table and walks away quickly? I dont want to seem biased by saying he chucked it on the table and bolted, but baksically thats what happened. We order quickly when he gets back (We are there towards closing, after all, and hate to keep wait staff after hours). We both ordered chimichangas with rice... I ordered beef, but we both recieved chicken, and neither came with rice (We were given beans). Not one to complain (both the beef and chicken chimichangas were the same pricewe ate, and I will give this place one thing: the food was actually quite good for the price. Didnt rim my margarita, though.

Usually this place has amazing food etc...today was a nightmare. Not only did we barely recieve service- the manager was a complete disrespectful ass towards my mother on mothers day. Never have I have been to a place w such disregard to their customers and lack of professionalism. This is ridiculous.

Typical Mexican food, maybe slightly above average. The last time we were here with a group of 4 our wait for everything was a bit on the ridiculous side though.

Worst Mexican food I have ever had. Greasy chips, salsa tasted like it came out of a jar. Service was bad too. Server didnt come back once after serving. I had to leave the money on the table. Hostess was even rude.

Would have difficulty recommending after my experience. Salsa came out and was practically still frozen and my entree was comprised of watery ground beef with very little flavor. Ive eaten at dozens of places like it and this falls near the bottom. Just one experience so take with a grain of salt, but I dont believe Ill be going back.

My wife and I sat for 15 minutes waiting to order drinks on a relatively slow evening. We finished our chips and were getting up to leave when the waiter came over and apologized. When our food finally came, one order was missing 1/2 the items that were supposed to come with it. Other Mexican spots in Morgantown offer much better service with the same quality of food.

Don Patron has friendly staff, quick service, and great food. Definitely one of the better Mexican Grilles in town. Don Patron is also conveniently located, very rarely is the Grille uncomfortably packed with customers like some of the other Mexican Grilles in town.
