Don't Tell Titus - Bar in Bradford, United Kingdom
Most of the menu wasnt available, the food was really nice and the drinks great but unfortunately 4 of us were very poorly the day after
BEST apple crumble I have ever eaten, period. Expensive, but worth it given the taste and beauty of the presentation.Pure joy!
Amazing! The food was amazing, the staff are 5 star, so friendly and lovely. Danielle was amazing, the whole vibe of the place was just fantastic. Perfect date night 🤍
Went today for a light lunch, I had the the chicken tikka wrap, normally not a fan of wraps, but this one had been griddled and it made such a difference to the texture, the wrap was stuffed full of tasty chicken and salad bit, served with a mint yogurt dressing, and pieces of vegetable pakora , such a nice change from chips ! The staff were superb, helpful and very attentive . Very well done.
Tried here for the first time and wasnt disappointed. Service was excellent- making sure we were happy with everything. Food was fresh, full of flavour. A great modern menu with an indian twist. Will be back!
Excellent food. Great service, fabulous location. Can’t fault it
Food was ok, service very slow, not dog friendly
Great food let down by terrible service. Avoid unless you want to spend hours in there 🤦
Nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, interesting food, reasonably priced. All good!
I popped in today for a quick drink and some tapas with my partner and everything from the service, the staff, the food and drinks was easily 10/10, this place is exceptional. The quality of the halloumi and the chips with their dips was incredible. I really can not rate this place highly enough. If youre in the area, get yourself there, you will not be disappointed!
Great place, really friendly and attentive staff. It was a lovely mix of excellent food and they has a couple of hand pulled ales on which was a bonus. The menu was a lovely fusion of traditional English dishes (& others from around the worldwith an Asian twist - very tasty indeed. I wouldnt hesitate in recommending and indeed returning.
Annoying that foods only served at 12 on a Sunday, so just ordered a coffee while we waited. Coffee was good, but food was bang average; normal toastie bread, eggs were okay but wasnt keen on the spicing of them. Smoked salmon saved it!
Friendly staff, comfortable environment, welcoming Indian/British menu
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff & decent food & beer.
Lovely bar. Friendly staff.Menu not suitable for intollerances.
Great lunch, friendly staff, and a perfect location just a few minutes from Salts Mill and the train station.
Visited Dont Tell Titus earlier today for drinks and food. I would definitely recommend booking, especially if you want to eat there. The establishment is warm and welcoming. I am confined to a wheelchair but this wasnt a problem. It has a wheelchair accessible entrance and disabled toilets. It wasnt particularly busy when we got there but still had a good atmosphere. We chose some dishes to share between three of us. It was like tapas in description but was Asian. The food was absolutely delicious. There was a fairly extensive menu that would suit any diner I imagine. Wide range of beers and wine too. My two friends had come from Harrogate and Guiseley and were very impressed. A top class venue in a beautiful area. Cant recommend highly enough and will definitely be returning very soon.
Lovely atmosphere, tasty food, good selection of drinks and attentive staff. Missing a few items off the menu but these were pointed out when we were seated.
Friendly welcome on entering the restaurant and the staff continued this throughout the meal.Service first rate also the meal and Covid systems still to a high standard.
Absolutely BRILLIANT.Fantastic food. Amazing. And a lovely Frenchman who was very interesting to chat to. We have already planned a return visit.
We went here one Sunday for a quick bite to eat. We had initially gone to the two diners in Salts Mill but both queues were static and we were on a clock. I had been to Dont Tell Titus in the past so that was the obvious alternative choice. We had a couple of the wraps, one lamb, the other halloumi tandoori. They were satisfactory but nothing to write home about. Certainly not cheap but didnt break the bank.
Lovely food - had the meat curry platter, good job we had pre booked as turning a lot of people away. Very friendly staff and good choice of larger. Id say desserts over priced so went to a cafe on main road for coffee and cake!!!
Called here by chance and was very happy 😊. Nice establishment and atmosphere. Friendly staff and lovely food. We had a full English Breakfast & fish & chips. We will definitely be visiting here again.
Food was delicious but very overpriced. Good atmosphere and helpful staff.
Press covid I was a regular dye to the charming French gentleman. My friends would travel from Manchester as Mr French was the only barman who knew how to serve brandyI went at a quiet time. The passion fruited cheescakr was just cream. The service I did not tip which has beverage happened here with or without MrFrenchs presance.I was very disappointed.
Popped in for a light lunch with my friend. My choice, a tandoori halloumi wrap which came with pakora and a tasty dip was great. Tasted good, looked good and I felt good value at £8.50.My friend however was disappointed initially with the daal and chips from the vegan gluten free options. The daal was definitely short on lentils and more like a gravy and the portion for £6.50 was lacking however a lovely staff member resolved this with a cheeky bonus portion of pakoras. Will definitely return.
Nice looking place but £17.35 for two coffees and two liqueurs....bloody scandalous. Ice put in brandy without asking...not good...waitress didnt know what liqueurs were available and had to check with bar staff!
Such wonderful staff especially on a very busy day from the beer festival. Ive always enjoyed the food. Thank you for such a wonderful meal
Sadly this place has really deteriorated. It use to be good. Now is very poor. Staff are rude. Website does not match opening times. They don’t keep it up to date. I gave they feedback. They weren’t interested. We book a brunch table online which was approved online. When we arrived they were closed. We waited. It finally opened at 11am. (Website said 9am). We ordered coffee and waited for friends to arrive. They no longer serve breakfast and we would have had to have waited until 12 noon for lunch. So went elsewhere.Such a shame it’s so pants.Do not waste your time and money.Disappointing.
A thoroughly disappointing experience at this place today. After being seated we were served drinks and ordered food from the menu, after thirty minutes a member of staff came and apologized for the delay and said they had been processing a large order and that our food was being plated and offered us a complimentary drink, when the food arrived it was cold, dried up and had obviously been cooked some time this was totally unacceptableWe shall not be returning any time soon.
Disappointed. Upon arrival a member of staff looked at us and said theyd just given away the last table then started to walk away as I told them wed actually booked a table. I found this rude and it made me and partner feel very unwelcome. Limited menu and the waitress had to come back to us 3 times to tell us what wed chosen wasnt available. The waitress gave the impression that she didnt want to be there. Ended up calling up the Boathouse and went to eat there instead. Glad we did as the food was delicious and the staff were very welcoming. Will not be returning here.
Lovely bar for a drink and a lovely social environment. Food was really nice and has a nice twist on the traditional curry house options. We will be back next time were in the area.
Fantastic tapas lunch. Lovely, friendly staff and felt very safe eating here as a Coeliac. Will be back.
Called in yesterday we both ordered eggs florentine, the restaurant was nearly empty (2.30 pmit took 25 minutes to arrive and was only just warm.I told the waitress she said she would take it back to the kitchen but we had to catch the coach (day tripback home at 3.15 so I told her we didn’t have time to wait again, really annoyed that we were still charged £17.80 which included 2 drinks, won’t be going back there!
Poor leadership and lack of staff passion. On an overstaffed and quiet evening felt ignored, and disappointed by food on limited menu.Whilst the small curry portion was tasty the boil in the bag rice was dreadful. To have waited such a long time it was disappointing to say the least. To be in such a good location does not make up for a poor service which when pointed out seemed to suprise the staff.Dosh cloths all over toilet floor? Eh?Pricy Beer choice only positive. Previously visited and had a great steak....why change and try and compete with proper curry houses.? Confusing and disappointing.
Really good quality food and great menu, just a shame that several items were not available. Punjabi dishes with a Yorkshire twist! Beautiful decor and in the heart of historic Saltaire village. We will definitely be back if visiting the area again.
Poorly run. Third visit (admittedly under Covidwhere the menu was restricted without warning. Way too pricey for whats on offer. Has pretensions but the cheap synthetic interior is pretty tacky. Save yourself the hassle and go to one of the excellent local curry houses. Also great restaurants on the top road.
Good/polite service, lacking atmosphere (could have lit fires/candles on a lovely Autumnal evening?), food nice but wine very expensive for average Pinot (£7.00 really?!). Had couple of drinks and snacks (sliders, nice but £34+?! Probably wont return...
If you have not tried Dont Tell Titus you really dont know what you are missing. I was out visiting Salts Mill with my daughter and wanted to grab lunch. We were both so pleased we found DTT. The food was absolutely fantastic and very good value for money. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. My daughter had a Fish Burger which looked amazing and I had the Cajun Chicken Wrap which was so good. I also had a Pravha beer with my meal, never tried one before and that was good too. All the things required for covid19 were really well organised and the place had a great atmosphere.I would highly recommended to anyone.
Cant wait till this is open again! More dry white wine options please, and a revision/ simplification of food menu. Will be good to try some new dishes as I think Ive ordered them all now.
Eaten here once or twice. Can’t fault the food or the staff. Staff always polite and eager to please there customers. Food excellent, atmosphere is very friendly. Great place for a breakfast , afternoon meal n drink or a good meal in restaurant then a few drinks downstairs.10/10.
I liked this pub when I visited a few years ago. Had a good meal, sat and relaxed with a newspaper. Ideal for when youre thirsty after visiting the local canal and saltaires art gallery.
Sadly, my experience, was not a happy one. Although it is an upmarket establishment, to all intents and purposes it is a pub, with pub grub leaning towards Indian cuisine. It is also very expensive. My food, spice marinaded lamb cutlets, was tepid, fat unrendered... inedible. The portion of chips were lazy chips, you know the kind unpeeled! Please! please! if you cannot be arsed to peel the potatoes, at least have the common decency to refer to them on the menu as rustic!I complained to the guy who appeared to be in charge, who told me that I came in with a bad attitude. He said my remark about the price of a large gin and tonic.being twice the price, one would normally pay;highlighted me as a person of interest! They comped the meal but not aforementioned G&T. BIG DEAL. This was all done pleasantly enough, however when I asked for the manager.,a certain amount of back tracking on his part brought about an eventual apology. He blamed everythingon it being busy, and new staff well done Dont Tell Titus!
Very nice brunch of Eggs Benedict and Tapas. They now stock Sharps excellent new beer Wolf Rock on draught.Staff were attentive without being in your face & background music at a level where you can hold a conversation without shouting. Well worth a visit.
Went earlyish on a very quiet Sunday evening. This is the first time we have been for a few years and it was rather disappointing. The food is now mainly tapas style and we were greeted with an extensive list of items that were not available including steak and camembert. We chose a tapas dish as a starter and a main each .Liver tikka one of my favourites at other places was served in a cold dish on bread and tiny chopped vegetables. The bread had been very highly salted, actually too much for the average palate. The liver was on the verge of overcooked, but OK although not hot. The mustard-looking sauce was sprinkled over the lot. It was pleasant but at the end left a very salty taste in the mouth. Just as well wed ordered water! We both had the house burger for our main. Served on a hot dish, the bun had not been toasted and was rather squashy. The burger apoeated home made but was rather overcooked and chewy. The red cabbage slaw was really nice. Sadly the home made chips were poor, they had clearly been cooked earlier and then reheated. Whilst I appreciate the effort of not having bulk prepared frozen chips these were left tepid, soft and very, very oily.Overall the value was reasonable, but the quality was not outstanding, and I suggest less salt is used in the kitchen, let the diners choose how much to put on.
Lots of potential - great location and I loved the Fusion-Asian menu. Staff mostly great... only problem - not enough of them.We booked a Saturday lunchtime table, party of 10 - of whom 4 were kids. Server did warn us food would be "about 15 minutes". After 40, we requested the kids dishes. All started arriving after a solid hour - by which time, later arrivals had long received their mains. As for food - some very good, some overcooked/dry - sign of an overstretched kitchen. Server did keep us informed about the ongoing delay; all credit for that.Id say they just need to staff up for weekend lunchtimes! Servers seemed to be working 6-8 tables each, nobody bussing, but bartenders stood idle between drink orders. All fixable problems so I hope theyll do better going forward. But theyre not short of competition, so I doubt well be back.
Great service and nice staff, we got shared dishes and they were all delicious. The restaurant isnt massive but it is well spaced, so you felt like you had some privacy. Had a really enjoyable meal.
Food great and really interesting Indian influences to the cooking. Small cocktail list and made space for a pram in the bar while we eat. The staff were all very nice although a little slow but it was a bank holiday so very busy lunchtime
Stopped in for a Sunday breakfast, great service, fast and friendly. Cozy ambiance in a well decorated restaurant, high ceiling and an excellent selection at the bar for lunch and dinner. An excellent place to take your date for a treat. Highly recommended.
This is a friendly place with a good atmosphere. They have a fairly inventive menu, and do some very nice specials (check on the day). The service isnt amazingly quick, but then it is a relaxed and fun place. Presentation and taste of the meals Ive had have been very good.
