National aquarium devoted to marine life conservation, with educational exhibits & guided tours.
Excellent for kids and family quality time.Excellent pricesIf you and you family are looking for something to do then I recommend this aquarium.
Its a nice place to go with your partner or with your family. The atmosphere is quite and there is a lot to see. And its affordable.
Very nice experience, got lot of marine knowledge ...Dominican Republic... lovely beautiful place
Good place for meet with the family
Spent a great time there with the family ! Nice, windy at some places because of the see, with good views, attraction parks for children. Snacks and the welcome were cool, too.
Great place to go with the family for the day to see many types of water animals as well as an awesome view of the ocean! The staff was great and very helpful.I remember visiting this place as a little kid when I used to live here. Im glad to see it still well maintained.
Very nice aquarium in Capital of Dominican Republic
Excellent
Overall a nice experience. They have cool zip lines through the tree tops for the kids to ride and a park even for them to play at. My kids enjoyed the sights and see the sea creatures.
It’s good enough for children to enjoy and for families to have a great picnic day. You can bring your own food and picnic setup. The tickets are DOP $75 for children and DOP $100 adults and I’d you’re a foreigner a bit more. There’s a park that’s Gorgeous with many play areas for the kids. The scenic view is the ocean is second to none and there’s a little path that allows you to walk with a perfectly clear view of the ocean and the ocean rocks.
What a beautiful and relaxing experience I had today at El Acuario Nacional. This place is simply beautiful and fun for the entire family. Tickets prices are super affordable $75 Dominican pesos (around $1.50 US dollarsfor children and $100 DOP (around $2 US dollarsfor adults. The place is open and easy to keep an eye on the little ones. It’s a fun and educational experience. They have many species in display and bilingual detailed description. They kids love every single species and afterwards we sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and had ice cream from a super cute and affordable cafeteria for the public to enjoy refreshments. My favorite is the huge whale skeleton on display and sitting outside to enjoy the breeze and the view of the Caribbean Sea. The place was super easy to find as it is located nearby el Malecón de Santo Domingo. Staff was super professional and friendly and they also have wheelchair access. Public bathroom are clean and not crowded. Face mask are required for admission.I recommend this place
Good place to view the ocean, and is affordable but there are very few animals to see with little variety.
It was close but it doesn’t say that on their websiteBut The place from outside very nice
It was closed due to pandemic but doesnt say that on website.. They never answer the phones
Came here as a kid years ago and it was a great time. I remember seeing a whale shark for the first time and terrified by what lives under the sea
Great time and place
Very Nice Place to visit. And have a nature like experience. You can picnick there or you can have walk with your sweetheart with a magnificent view on the ocean
Good place to visit
A good place to visit, very cheap (RD$75 ). You can see manatees and a lot of fishes. Easy to get there with Google map.
I love the view from there.
The place is a waste of time amd money. The water need to be more cleaner, not a variety of animals, the place need more care and the roof was leaking. The building was completely empty, which is quite sad; only mine and another family(that are Dominicanswas there for almost a whole 2 hours.
Absolutely disappointed, I cant believe it!
Great experience, beatiful place.
Great place to bring your kids and relax
For an Aquarium in a developing country, definitely a great deal! When I went it was $50 pesos ($1 USD). Very clean and well kept. A great variety of animals. Sharks, manatees, giant crabs, etc. Been here about 3 times and it’s always been a good experience. Unfortunately, it’s not visited much by the Dominican people. Definitely a hidden gem!
If you come here bring pesos. They raise the prices for people paying with us dollars. It is a truly nice place. About 2 hours to see everything
My love ❤️ here
Has a few types of fish but very few other aquatic life. There are some turtles and 2 mantees. The tanks are very dirty and shallow 😕 But it is a cheap place to take a family. Beautiful spot behind the aquarium to eat and take pictures.
The aquarium is fine, but by no means spectacular. Its clean and has a good diversity of exhibits. My favorite exhibit was the manatee tank. The seaside location is beautiful.
Great for lovers of sea animals. Recommend going on a good day, not when it is raining.
Not really much of an aquarium, but the park area and view of the sea is fantastic!
Amazing! You get to explore different kind of fishes, everything is well explained. The tunnel was beautiful!
Great place for kids and adults to see different type of fish... also nice play area for the kids
a nice day out to relax and the kids loved it! beautiful views nice park and play areas, facility could use some updating but its been around for awhile.
Nice place for family👨👦👧👩👴👵
Its a very important place for students and for tourists.
The place is rather small and outdated. The animals live in small tanks. If you pay local price, its ok.
Nice place to bring the kids to walk around and look around. The place is not huge and it could be done in less than 2 hours. The fish tanks have a good number of fish in them so you will see them. They wouldnt be hiding. They also have a kids playground area. The cafeteria had a few good snacks (donuts and empanadasbut I dont think I would have something like a meal there. Still nice place to visit and support the community.
Paque national acuario
Nice park but nothing special. A few animals, good for children.
Fun family trip for a few hours. Not huge, but a nice place for kids.
The exhibition its very limited.
Good place to enjoy with the family
Nice place to visit when you are in Santo Domingo
Very good place to enjoy with the family.
Unique aquarium on this size in Santo Domingo
Beautiful environment but sadly the aquarium is deteriorating a bit more every day.
Program of gardening corals and great sharks and coral reef fishes exhibitions.
Great to take your family.
The only aquarium in Santo Domingo. Very good, family friendly and affordable tickets.
