40-42 Deansgate, Manchester M3 1RH, Salford
Casual-rustic eatery offering hearty Italian plates such as meat & cheese plates, pizzas & pastas.
We go there every time we go to see a band at the Arena - its part of the experience. From carpaccio of tuna to a meaty plate of swordfish to the lasagne, with all the dishes in between I think the chef has the lightest of touches, and we have never been disappointed. To finish off with the perfect Espresso and a glass of cognac warmed over a lighted candle is a perfect end to the dinner. We are always made to feel welcome every time we go in, and I just hope they are still open for the next we are able to visit.
A family owned Italian restaurant in Deansgate Manchester. A fine menu with a good choice. Clientele are made welcome and family members serve you well. If you like Italian food a good place to eat.
Went a few weekends ago but this place is so cute and the staff really make it. They are so friendly. Cant wait to go back 😊
Food was amazing. The 35 minute wait was not good as they would not take a booking. Need more staff as we asked to sit outside and have drink while we waited but nobody to serve outside.
Every time I visit Manchester I try to come here. Great food beautiful decor and above all the staff are brilliant very polite and helpful. Definitely recommend for families and couples.
Very professional staff, making you feel welcome and no rushing about. Food exceptional and good value for money. Definitely come back next time we visit Manchester.
me and my girlfriend found this gem and we will always go back it’s amazing. the food is is very tasty and food to and was nice and fast the staff are very friendly, i will recommend to allit really is amazing
Service was good, but the food wasnt nice at all and wasnt worth the price. Definitely below the average and dessert is even worse, I had the most terrible Tiramisu Ive ever had in my life.
Awful and tasteless food. Overpriced compare to other italian restaurants in Manchester. Can get a better meal from super market! Waitors served cutlery on the outdoor table without napkins - unbelievable hygiene given the covid circumstance. Dessert were barely edible, not fresh made at all. when we gently expressed our opinions to the staff then we were told "its best seller". Avoid Avoid Avoid.
Amazing as always.Had to edit this review as we have just found out or beloved Doms is closing 🥺🥺. We are absolutely devastated!!We love everything about Doms, the moment you step through the doors you forget your on deansgate and not in Italy. We have loved every single meal we have eaten here and the staff always go above and beyond, you really are treated like family as soon as you step into Doms.We really hope you guys are opening somewhere else in Manchester as no Italian restaurant is comparable to yours.
Amazing food and staff are so friendly and polite always such a welcoming environment.
We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The staff are very friendly and fun to engage with. Lee was amazing and left us in awe with his magic trick!! What a lovely way to end our night. We will definitely be back again and greatly recommend to everyone!
Lovely Italian, a classic menu with choices for everyone. The seafood linguine was a personal favourite of mine. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.
Had a lovely dinner with my two friends. We enjoyed the antipasti tagliere and our pizzas and lasagna. The staff was lovely and the manager Lee did a magic trick with numbers, towards the end of our meal, which was really fun!
A big shame really. Waiter was rude from the off. Service took a long time, and we didnt receive the drinks we ordered. The patè was amazing. The prawn cocktail however was deconstructed, so it wasnt really a cocktail as much as it was a prawn salad. They have a house pizza called "Doms". If this is their signature pizza, Id be scared to order anything else on the menu! Pizza came greasy and the dough was raw. I returned it and didnt charge me for the pizza.
Amazing food and lovely service! The most welcoming, friendly staff; we were served quickly, the food was delicious and cocktails were perfect. Would definitely visit again 😊😊
Really lovely food, great and real ambiance, this is what good food is, well worth a visit.
Got a table immediately in a walk in basis on a Saturday when lock down restrictions were eased. Food was lovely and service was very friendly. Would recommend.
It was lovely to finally get back outside and sit somewhere, last time was October. I ordered a calzone, I ate it because I was hungry, but it was extremely soggy and all filling piled right in the middle. It was disappointing, Id stick with pizza or pasta if I returned. The staff were friendly.
First post lockdown meal out and it did not disappoint. The four of us ordered a varied selection and all seemed very happy with their food, I know I was.The atmosphere was nice, and the service fast and efficient.
For me the best restaurant in my city! Traditional Italian restaurant. Plenty of vegetarian options, including specials. Gluten free options also available, my brother is gluten intolerant and said the dishes were exquisite. Average prices, we paid around £30 each for 3 courses and shared wine. Perfect for a good pizza!
Not eaten here recently but ive just realised i keep forgetting to leave a review. Wonderful place, great intimate vibe, food is amazing, especially the arancini (my favourite). Service is great and very professional. Cant wait to eat here again once the pandemic is over!
The food was delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere...immaculate. Had to sit inside due to the very windy weather but the vibrant flowers and plants made for a very cute date experience. The mirror next to my seat was definitely an added bonus
We visited Dom"s today for lunch. Hygiene standards were very high and the service was excellent. I had ravioli from the specials menu and pate to start with and both courses were really tasty. If you are in Manchester city centre I would recommend Dom"s for a reasonable priced meal paired with excellent service and friendly staff
One of the best restaurants i ever been too!
Had a horrible experience here with awful food, which came 55 minutes after ordering and rude staff. I was not going to write this review until I left my car in the NCP next door overnight and had the window of my car smashed in, was asking politely for some help with a dustpan and brush so I was not sat driving on glass, they were rude and ignorant and dismissed me so quickly. They did not even give me the common decency to treat me like a human in need.
Second time at this amazing restaurant and we will be going back again soon. The food is out of this world, social distancing is adhered to perfectly and the staff are wonderful, we were served by Lee, he was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble for him. All the staff were so kind to our son and made his dining experience very special!
The waiter from Barcelona was lovely! All the staff were to be fair. We only stopped for lunch and shared pizza, chips and salad. Well cooked, chips especially yummy! Well recommend this place.
Fantastic place right in the heart of Manchester. Only Italian restaurant Ive known to make their own pasta on the premises. Cant fault the place and the staff are very friendly too. Next time Im in Manchester Ill definitely be back here.
Great place. Food is always good and staff are friendly. Its always our first choice for places to eat in town.
Fantastic experience this evening in the first meal out since the beginning of lockdown. Made to feel welcome from walking in the door, the service from start to finish was excellent, the staff were attentive and accommodating, polite and professional. The food was absolutely delicious and the wait to be served and for the food to arrive was always spot on. Food was absolutely delicious, probably the nicest meal Ive eaten in years. The new decor which has been updated during the lockdown made the whole restaurant feel that much more authentic. Safe to say Ill be back before long. Bravo.
I took my friend here for a surprise birthday meal a honestly from booking and informing the staff of my arrangements being just make it special, they really put the effort and detail in.The staff are polite and really make this restaurant feel warm and welcoming, you get a good family vibe. The food was on point! I can not find one fault with any of the food. Once dessert was served the staff made a fabulous effort of highlighting my friends birthday by bringing out cake and a lit candle.Honestly this is a little gem and I highly recommend this restaurant! The staff plus the food make this restaurant extra special.
Great service, really nice food
Very good Italian home food.Delicious.
The food was excellent & the staff were some of the best I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Attentive, without being too in your face. Very friendly & warm, particularly Lee & Oliver.
My Wife and I were spending a few days in Manchester recently and spotted this place. It looked great so we decided to give it a go.What a great choice! The service from Lee was top notch and the food,in all honesty,is the nicest Ive had!Its 10 days since our visit and Im still talking about just how lovely it was.I had the mushrooms with cheese to start and,as a dish Ive had in various places,I have to say this outdid any Ive had before!Superb flavour! For the main,I tried Paccheri ai Ragu. The flavours in this dish were instantly out of this World.I honestly cannot wait to visit again. What a fantastic dining experience!
One of my favourite places in Manchester to eat 100%! Really authentic Italian, family run I think so has a really relaxed and friendly vibe to it. Food is incredible, traditional Italian hearty dishes, delicious wine and amazing cocktails. Great location (I went to a concert at the Arena after eating there). Do recommend!
Absolutely outstanding wee Italian restaurant, an authentic experience from start to finish. I can fault absolutely nothing about my visit here. The staff were polite and attentive. The decor is so rustic and genuinely makes you feel like youve stepped into a restaurant in Italy itself. For starter we had bruschetta and the pate, would recommend both. Then for mains we had pizza, it was some of the nicest pizza Ive had, it was fresh, thin and so so tasty. Will be back.
A nice family lunch. We had pizza for main and some mixed starters (calamari, garlic bread, olives). The states arrived promptly as did the mains. The pizzas were huge! ...and we didnt even go for the giant version. However, all of the food was a bit too salty for me. Nonetheless, the service was excellent and the lunchtime ambiance was very welcoming.
Lovely place from setting to food!! Not easy to find a good pizza in the UK but here you will not be disappointed. Must give also thumbs for the good and friendly service. Keep it up :)
Lovely traditional Italian restaurant. Plenty of vegetarian options, including specials. Gluten free options also available (but not tried personally). Average prices, we paid around £30 each for 3 courses and shared wine. Would recommend!
Beautiful meal tonight with excellent attentive service from all the staff especially the gentleman who seated us. Highly recommended
Pizzas and food was lovely. Very tasty and strong cocktails. Would go back!
Excellent place where you can have an experience of home cooked Italian food. No place like this is Manchester!Service is professional and simply Amazing. Do try something from daily menu and their little antipasti. Also loving their home made desserts.Every foodie should definitely visit that place
Delicious food, nice atmosphere and excellent service
Had such a lovely meal tonight food was so tasty and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended this restaurant
Very busy place indeed so you would need to book a table. However, they are very accommodating and helpful.Unfortunately, for my wife and I at least, the food was a little disappointing... My wife had king prawn linguine, which contained three prawns. And I had fresh scallops linguine which was basically one scallop sliced thinly. Rather mean when the meals themselves cost best part of £15 & £17 respectively.Personally, I feel its a little over priced for what you get and have enjoyed better meals elsewhere. Shame because they obviously go to so much effort to make you comfortable.I hope my comments are helpful.
From the onset of arriving to leaving, we were made to feel welcome. We were greeted with table service, the staff even popped over to top our glasses up.The food was incredible and the perks was the open style kitchen, as you could see your food being made. The restaurant was very quirky but also romantic. We would definitely come back again, so Thankyou!Katie & Connor xx
Excellent! The service was more than on point. Our waiter Lee was very attentive: letting us taste the wine first, refilling the wine on time and he looked and spoke to us very neatly. However, he did give one of us the wrong dish, but after we noticed and told him he promised we would get the correct dish within 5 minutes and could keep the other dish too. Everybody makes mistakes so it wasnt all too bad. We had a lovely time there!
Very nice restaurant. We had great soup of the day, tasty risotto, and lovely tuna pasta. Great atmosphere and hospitality. Recommended.
