Dolphin Restaurant in Mughal Sarāi

I came here for a date, and this was the best restaurant in all of Varanasi because it is at good height having awesome river view, has very good air conditioning, even the crowd visiting here is well behaved, food needs a little improvement, their mocktails drinks are awesome and are a must try, i tried virgin mojito, and green apple mojito.

The food is good and affordable considering the view we can enjoy from the terrace. My classification is related to the fact that I was seated at a table without any "reserved" sign, but I was not allowed to finish my meal at my table, because supposedly a more important customer than me was arriving and I was asked to clear the table. My only regret at that point was that I already ordered dessert, as they dont deserve my money, given the importance they gave me. And the most unbelievable thing is that I left and my original table was still unoccupied. I want to emphasize that it is not the fault of the employees who attended me, who were very attentive, but of the management, to whom I complained directly.

Superb view of the Ganges... you will have modern day Cafe feeling by the river bank

Apart from the view of the Ganges river, it isnt good. Service and food is fine.

Its right at the Ghat, where you go to Goddess Varahi temple, good options on breakfast, nice view of river Ganga.

Tasty food and clean restaurant.I searched many restaurant in varanasi and finally found this.The staffs are quite helpful and attentive.They speak both English and Hindi well & good.Cost of Food is slightly on higher side. But taste and quantity is worth for the price.I ordered briyani... and not able to finish the briyani.I enjoyed the riverview and finished my Lunch.

Nice experience with a great view. This restaurant gives you a beautiful view of Varanasi ghat. It gets more amazing in the night but prefer to go in the winters its more pleasurable and you will fall in love with Varanasi. Tasty food with reasonable price. Staff is cooperative. Easy to locate from dashashvmedh ghat. Best to visit once on your trip to Varanasi. I had a good experience.

Absolutely pathetic experience. The price was totally unreasonable with respect to its taste. Good hygiene and ambience are important, but they dont mean everything in the world. The name is "Dolphin", but the service was as slow as a whale.

My mom and I would stop in here to get a break from the heat while and Varanasi and always enjoyed our time. The wifi was decent, and they have great food and iced coffee.

Nice restaurant, they have an open air balcony with a nice view of the Gangas, and a closed floor with AC, food was ok we had spaghetti with red sauce and it had a variety of vegetables it was very filling and delicious, also the mix veg. Curry with a garlic chapata was tasty.The bathroom could use a better a clean.

Very beautiful interior and cool rooftop Jim however the menu is rather boring and definitely overpriced. The ambience was also spoilt when the staff put trashy bass heaving pop music on and started listening to the cricket on their phones.

Nice place, fully vegan, very much affordable stating the location of the restro! Would definitely recommend it, cause dining in just beside the holy ganges is an experience to have.

Must Visit!Amazing experience on the famous ghats of Benaras! It is just beside Rajendra Prasad Ghat.They have clean washroom.The view from the roof top area is just breathtaking.The quality of food was great. They serve vegetarian food. You must try their pastas and sandwiches- absolutely delicious!Hari Om was very polite and attended us well.Best take away from Dolphin was the wonderful conversation we had with Mr. Sanjiv who shared his travel stories with us. I will share experience based on how we were treated at restaurant. My kid accidently broke one glass which typically should not cost more than 30/40 Rs. Staff asked me to pay for glass, which I was ok to pay. When I asked how much, they said I need to pay 500 Rs. Which is generally cost for dozen such glasses. I spent more than 2000 Rs on food and still they asked such insane amount for a glass. Pathetic experience!!

Its a nice place. You will get the beautiful, nice top view of ghat from here. Food is Ok. There is a network jammer on ghat but you can get a free wifi here.Only one thing which is not good here is the washroom. They have only one common washroom which is very unhygienic and dirty.

Rooftop Restaurant amazing Ganga View and Good Service nice atmosphere.

The view from the roof top is fantastic and food is good. A group of staff had a very loud argument right next to us that unfortunately took up most of our dinner time. A young staff member was apologetic and kind.

This place has got an amazing view of ghat.One can sit and enjoy the pleasing view of ghat accompanied with good food. Theres enough of space as it has got terrace as well as interior space too ,both are lavished beautifully.Talking about its food,it was good though some improvements can be done in the dishes where there was potato a main ingredient.Like Achari aloo or Banarasi dum aloo.Other than that I loved the food.We had Katie date shake,Irish cold coffee, gobi lollipop,Achari aloo,pasta ravioli red sauce,paneer sandwich gravy, pineapple cheese sticks,rasmalai,mix variety rotis and aloo dum Banarasi.🌼⭐Staff was too polite to help us during our visit.One should surely visit this place if you like to have a good ambience with good food.

I recently visited this place, this place is situated at the dasaswmedh ghat. This place has both outdoor and indoor seating, such a beautiful view from the top of the restaurant. It has lovely ambience, basically foreigners used to visit this place. Now talking about food.All the dishes were good but some dishes needs improvement. Presentation of the dishes were so good. According to the food their prices are lit bit high. I truly recommend to try this Irish Cold Coffee and kafir date shakes. They were ama6zing. All the dishes staffs were good and humble. Their service were quick, So I truly recommend you all to must visit this place..

This restaurant located at the heart of the city serves you with a variety of cuisines. The ones highly recommended are Irish Cold Coffee, Pineapple Cheese Stick, Rasmalai, Ravioli in red sause, Special Paneer Sandwich Gravy and Rasmalai. The Indian cuisine could be worked upon a little. The ambience is lit. They also have a roof top seating area. You can enjoy some quality time with friends and family with a perfect view of river Ganges. The service is nice and the vibes here are cosy and comfy. The place is best suited for dates and events.

This is a restaurant you should go in day time. Real view and great decors. Nice staff. We tried some north indian dishes, they were fine, Little overpriced, but never mind. worth the view and ambience. clean washroom and polite staff are usps of this restaurant. Great view of Ganges. Good service, nice and cold with the AC, perfect to get away from heat. Food was OK. Pizza here tasted very bland, however rice & noodles we had another day was much better. Oreo Shake was really nice! Would recommend.

Had dinner here when I was visiting Varanasi in June. The food was presented beautifully and the staff were friendly and polite. However, that’s where the good points end. The watermelon juice I ordered taste so weird that I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. My friend tried it too and concurred so it wasn’t just me and my battered tastebuds. The food was average but on the expensive side. More importantly, my friend found a freaking RIVET in his rice. He was quite miffed when he complained to the staff and they didn’t even apologize. I feel for the poor waiters but yeah, like my friend says, the least they could do is apologize.

Located on the riverbank with a clear view of the Ganges, this place has great food to compliment its great view.While roaming around the lanes of Benares, we struck upon this cafe and were greeted by some really courteous staff.We happened to meet the owner as well, who helped us with our local plans as well.Do visit this cafe for a quality and hygienic break from the spiritual exploration.

Polite staff and great views but very average food....probably only for foreignersWe went to the Dolphin restaurant for dinner after witnessing the Ganga Aarti. The staff was welcoming and we got a table at the edge with great view of the ghat and the river Ganges.The soup was good but the rest of the food was just below average and perhaps one of the worst we have had in an Indian restaurant. Anyone with any semblance of taste for Indian food would not visit this place for the food at least.So the 3 stars are for the view and to an extent the staff.

The best place to eat in Varanasi! As we entered the staff was very attentive. The restaurant is clean, good looking and has great views from both the rooftop and inside the restaurant as well. We ordered pasta and were expecting something simple based on previous experience in the city, but we were wrong. The pasta was very tasty, lot of fresh tasting ingredients, nicely presented. Drinks were good as well. Pricewise I feel like the price was adequate, better value than the the slightly cheeper backpacker focused rooftop restaurants that offer much worse experience in basically every way but charge almost as much.

Very nice place for a bit more posh meal in Varanasi. Food is good and whole restaurant its example of purity. I meet owner who was very hospitable person and tell me a lot about city and his culture.
