Carretera Cabeza de Toro, Punta Cana 23000, Dominican Republic, Salvaleon de Higuey
Seaside park where visitors can swim with dolphins, touch a shark, hold a stingray & more.
The entire show is amazing. Instructors and Dolphins are making wonderful experience for kids and adults. But please be careful about the price of photoes which the photo team are getting from you and your family. Its way too expensive ($80.00 USD for each person). They must inform everyone at the beginning of the registration process. You can not carry your phone during the show, so the photo team are getting advantage of this rule which is not acceptable.
Great experience paddling with Tahli and his trainer. Did the funtastic experience and enjoyed every minute. Also ended up buying the photos as they came out very professional. Would definitely recommend
Brilliant dolphin experience, only marred by the constant need of the staff to have you look at the camera for every interaction. As you will come to expect as a tourist everything is a sales pitch and they want you to buy the upgrades and buy the photos, but the actual time spent with the Dolphins made this an acceptable price to pay. overall a good few hours out of the resort.
Was a horrible experience they rush you through with the dolphins but want to take a picture every 5 mins but charge you 80 per person for all photos they took of you or 40 for one. If I wanted to get pictures of my kids only it would have been 240 plus the excusion. Food is expensive and horrible. They are very disorganized. Im so angry about this excursion. Dont do it
Let the animals out!In captivity, dont be surprised if they become aggressive and attack people...Check out the "Blackfish" documentary on Netflix... Then youll know what I mean!
They charged too much for the photos....And you cant take your own ...You spend more time letting them take pictures than you do with the dolphins...Also, they shouldnt allow the people to kiss the dolphins in the mouth as we have germs that they dont need ....
Excellent place very nice people I had an awesome time there. Swimming with Dolphin is Santo Domingo it was a very wonderful experience. I really recommend this place to everyone Dolphins are very sweet and friendly.
Overall the dolphins experience was great, everything else was an overpriced tourist grab, pictures cost $150 usd and cant bring your own camera, the bird show is not a bird show ,they let you in a bird area and release the bird and give u seed to feed them for 15mins then its all done. Also food is overpriced and super small portions of very average food see the pic,, cost $14 usd
The dolphin experience itself is a wonderful time. The guides are friendly and ensure you get plenty of time to interact with the dolphins. The issue is how long they extended the length of time we were required to be off our all inclusive resort. We finished with the dolphins around 11:30 but were told we couldnt get the bus back until 1:40. We were forced to wait at their bar for several hours with nothing to eat but overpriced food. ($13 for a hot dog). It would have been so much better if we could have left right away and made it back to the resort with better food that was already prepaid for.
Very good experience during the swimming with the dolphins, but the sad part is when you come to the lobby to buy ur pictures, I think they should review their marketing strategy ! To get one picture u have to pay 39 USD 😅
The dolphins were awesome and I got kissed by a sea lion. We paid about 300$ for two of us to go. They would not let us take our phones and they have no exotic pictures with two of us (my wife and Ithey take all the photos separately so we have to buy more photos and don’t just buy the “one” that we both are in. They wanted to charge us 190$ for all the pictures and videos. We ended up paying $150 for just the photos and we had to pay 45 extra dollars for the pictures with the sea lion because those pictures were not included. They scam you into paying for them since they hold sentimental value to some. It is absolutely outrageous and I would NOT go again for that reason. Loved the dolphins, hate the price for pictures
The dolphins tour was nice. The rest was a tourist trap. I really regretted visiting that place. The beach was so dirty that you couldnt swim or even enjoy the sand. Cell phones and cameras are not allowed. They charge 150$ for some basic photos + extra money for the photo with the sea lion + extra for the photo with the parrots. The bird show lasts 5 minutes and its not a show. You just feed the birds. Free entrance for kids less than 1m tall.
The proper half an hour in the water is absolutely amazing, but the rest of the trip is a continuous waiting and waiting and waiting. The life saving jackets smelling awful as well the loccker key string 🤮. You are not allowed to take your phone with you on the platform with the Dolphins. They are taking you pictures, but youll have 2...3 pictures the same. You gonna be split in groups but you gonna be charged individually / swimmer for the pictures. Every swimmer 80$ or 2 for 150$ but you only get a code and youll be able to download your pictures from their website, not even a single printed picture, all on their website if they will send it..... They didnt sent me the video and one picture was missing 🤬🤬🤬. Be aware to have cash with you otherwise if you pay by card they gonna make the exchange as they wish.... Wouldnt recommend to anyone and definitely wouldnt get back ever. Enjoy your waiting time, wich will be around 3-3,5 hours 🤷♂️.
Great experience when it finally got underway, but there was lots of standing around in the beginning without clear instructions as to where it was possible to get lunch, where the excursion would occur from, and how it would unfold; there was also a useless viewing of a sea lion that took up an extra half hour under very hot conditions that should have been optional
this was absolutely amazing! an incredible experience that I would love to do again anyday!! everyone was so great the dolphins, the trainers and especially our guide were just wonderful! and when our dolphin Kai would wonder off and then come back lol it was super cute! I most definitely recommend trying it out to see for yourself! my family and I were not disappointed 🤗 definitely worth it
Great experience whilst there. Paid for the excursion with TUI, but be prepared to be upsold when you get to the park. Photos upgraded swims are all part of the sales pitch when you are there. But as for an experience it is amazing, the staff are friendly and made sure everyone got their turn.
Amazing, wonderful experience! Getting so close to the dolphins is magical. Enjoyed it tremendously. Not for people who dont like the water. Will love to do this again soon.
The actual dolphin swim is nice. Good family experience. The price for the pictures is too expensive. One picture is $40 USD. If you have more than one child and want several pictures, the price is not reasonable.
Two stars just to the will of the dolphins. The second time I would not take a trip here. Everything revolves around photos and a beautiful smile, the experience of being with a dolphin and you can touch it is moving to the sidelines here. I felt like I was in a money factory here.
Its was such a great time. Super sad that I couldnt get pictures of such a wonderful time. It was cheaper for me to do the event over purchasing pictures. I tried to ask to just buy the video I was told it was no way possible. After going to sealion show I was going to buy the pictures only for them to tell me that I still couldnt get certain pictures and it would be an extra $15 per picture. Coming to a total of $130 for pictures of just me.
Great experience however photos are expensive. 40$ for one picture. As a family of 4 with no group pictures taken it works out very expensive.
An absolute gem of a place where dolphins swim in there natural environment and not a tank in the middle of a town/city.They are very well cared for. A word of warning is wear pool should while with the dolphins as the the platform you stand on in the water is extremely painful to stand on in bare feet 😳. But overall I would recommend the place.
The people and the experience was wonderful only to be tainted by having to pay $435.00 for photos for 6 people at the end. 200 plus photos...only wanted 12-15, but at $40.00 each, it was cheaper to buy the package.
This was an absolutely brilliant experience i had wife my wife on our honeymoon. It was an experience that we both had on our bucket list to do in our lifetime. The dolphins were wonderful, such loving mammals, and once they looked you in the eyes it felt like they looked into your soul. The staff and trainers were amazing, pleasant and so helpful and funny. Carlos at the Impressive Punta Cana Hotel, the resort we stayed at, sorted it all out for us with the help of his brother Alberto. Thanks again guys for this amazing experience. 😁⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had a great time with the dolphins. It was an amazing time. The staff was fantastic. We really enjoyed talking with Nelson who created a friendly and personable experience.
Cost us 150 USD each. Spent 40 minutes in the water with a group of 12 so less than 5 minutes each. Dolphins were being tube fed in cages, a seal also in a cage. Enclosures too small. This is not what is advertised! We had no access to our belongings for hours, no water, sunscreen or bug repellent (temperature was 31 degrees). Waited over an hour to even start. No cameras allowed so cost of photos is 150 USD for 2 people. Animal cruelty is definitely the case here!
It was the best experience we ever done. The dolphins are really friendly, the trainer is friendly and helpful. You can dance play and sing with the dolphins. We have done the most expensive package but is all worth the money. At the end you can buy all the photos (about 80and the video for $150 a little bit expensive but theyre in a good qualityHighly recommended
Giving it a 4 due to the sea lion show. Trainer seemed a bit mean to the sea lion for not performing some tricks on the first go. Staff could use a bit of customer service training such as not asking for a tip when that’s not event part of the program. My son absolutely loved his experience with the dolphin “Picasso” one and done type of experience overall.
The dolphin experience is amazing, we got to swim with delphine and do trick, they so smart and trainer have a lovely relationship with them all, but I gave only one star because the photo team was not allowing us with phone, but taking pictures and at the end the surprise was THE PRICE!!! 2 PEOPLE 150 DOLLARS, is the same amount for the experience that we paid with the travel agent. This was really bad, not even givi g us 2 3 photos, nothing not even after talking to the manager. Poorly thinki g. Photos shold be 30 dollars or free included in the "trip"...
HORRIBLE experience!! Dont go. We got there as a group of 5. The staff is nice however there are nkthing to do..I feel bad for the dolphins and sea lions. the Water is SO DIRTY.. we all got body reaction and hives!!! Dolphins are all scratched out from the gates...this is not like on pictures! We ordered a Taxi (60$)to go back to our hotel ..because pur shuttle was in 2 hours..i dont understand what you can do in 4 hours there! Waste of TIME and MONEY!!!!
Don’t waste your time spending your money here. Spent $420 and have nothing to show for it because they charge 300 more for photos. They do not sell them as packages other than 1 for 40 or the entire collection for that outrageous price. I could not even buy one picture of each family member with the dolphins without almost spending $1000. The male who was waiting on us at the photo stand was very rude, and didn’t want to scroll through the pictures slowly even though he was asking for an insane amount of money, even the manager told him to relax. Do this excursion some place else.
We were there yesterday,They don’t allow take your phone, they take your pictures, and give you link, they ask you $150 for all your pictures, and we paid cash. They say you will get them tomorrow. After came to our hotel never got the pictures back. Tried a few times to contact them No-one respond . It is just robbery. They steal ppl’s money just like that. Their manager will convince you but don’t trust them. It is better you pay a few pictures instead of all pictures.Liars!!!
Hey guys, when you buy tickets be careful with this ppl,They will charge you for your all pictures $150.And will give you the link , but you wont get your all pictures, it is just robbery, and they will ask cash money, dont pay cash, even you call them or whatsapp message, they never respond. They steal ppl’s money just like that, don’t trust them, they dont know english, and their manager never will talk to you. We had a very bad experience with them.Just be careful, horrible experience, if you buy think one more time.
My wife and i visited the place yesterday. they did not send all the pictures even though we paid the amount, then we tried contacting them the did not respond, we got to chat on whatsapp and they said that we have to pay $15 more for each picture.my recommendation is that if you want to get what you paid for, just stay there until they give you all the pictures and videos.Im sharing the receipt picture so you see that I paid. but didnt receive all the pictures, they also sent us someone elses pictures as well.
it was absolutely great. You can take pictures of what you want and also shoot after the dolphin program. You must not have a phone or camera with you during the program. Its so you dont hurt the dolphins. so you depend on their photographer and cameraman. The price is not so tragic $ 80 for photos and video. You will get all the photos you are on. The video is common, so the others will be in the footage as well. If you want a photo with a lion, you have to pay another $ 15. A set of photos and videos costs $ 80 per head, which means that if you want photos where you and your partner are or you have photos together, you have to pay $ 150. Thats why I recommend taking pictures of yourself when you have a bunch of your photos, your counterpart will sometimes also pay a joint check for two heads and you will pay $ 150 and you will get, for example, 90 to 100 photos. You will receive a website and a password where you can download photos within 15 days. There is also a souvenir shop where prices are very favorable. Food is not included here but the menu is between $ 12 and $ 15. You can easily record and take pictures of the show with the parrot ma or lovoun. You can take beautiful photos of the beach.
This was an amazing experience! The ride getting there is a little bit but definitely worth it. Interacting with the birds and seeing the sea lion show and getting up close pictures were awesome as well! Definitely a must do!!!!
Dolphin Explorer has a great staff that make the experience fun. Besides the main attraction, you get to feed parakeets, which was a lot of fun. They also have a short sea lion presentation, which was rather sad. We felt so bad for the sea lion. Be aware you are not allowed to take any pictures with the dolphins. You have to buy their photo packages which for us was $150 for our two kids, but you get all of the pictures plus a video. They even took some family pictures. Overall we enjoyed it, but be prepared for the price tag.
The best excursion we have ever done. Very professional staff that was extra careful with the Dolphins.
You are literally forced to have photos taken, but you are not allowed to bring or take a camera with you! In the end you should pay several hundred euros for the pictures. Not recommended, tourist rip off!
I really enjoyed my time at Dolphin Explorer, the experience was amazing! It was a little pricey for the amount of interaction time. I think if they had smaller group sizes it would be better but its still worth it. They do get you on the pictures a little bit, you have to get a package, not just one or two pictures with the dolphins. I definitely recommend going if you love animals and have always wanted to swim with dolphins.
I couldnt swim and the staff was very calming patient and great at their job. I loved the dolphins. The photos are very expressive though which was disheartening.
I loved the experience. The people here do their best to make you feel welcomed and have the best of times you can get for your money.Staff is very knowledgeable and willing to engage with visitors and answer all kind of questions.Congratulations to you all!
They very conveniently let you know after you pay the entrance fee that youre not allowed to take your own photos, but its not mentioned beforehand or posted where you buy the tickets. Cost for the experience for two people is over $300, quoted price of the photos for two people is $210. The first time I learned that I wasnt allowed to take photos was about 50 yards into the park after I paid. To top it all off, they ripped me off on the exchange rate even though I was paying in Dominican Pesos. If you still decide to go, dont accept their first price offered on the photos, theyll negotiate down in price.
This is an adventure worth exploring. For most of the activities you do not need to be a swimmer. If you like water and animals this is the adventure for you. The staff were attentive and very knowledgeable. I would recommend the activities for those 6 and up. It not just dolphins but sharks, birds, sea lions, and stingrays so your money is well spent
Is it just me or for Europeans those tours are crazy overpriced??? And you can not even take your own photos. I won’t even mention the price per picture after! More people purchasing tours like that justice the price and animals kept in the captivity. Why the noise and music? There are other places for party.
Loved it here! Swam with 2 dolphins for 1 hr for 200$ per person. Really affordable compared to other places. We had someone take us from our hotel to Dolphin Explorer and return. It really was a great experience. Huge PLUS they stay in the ocean with their natural habitat! Very beautiful place!
An excellent experience in Punta Cana! We loved everything about it from the bird show to watching the dolphins jumping around also an excellent sea lion show on top of all that snorkeling with sea lions stingrays and sharks and snorkeling out on the open sea to end it all a 1 hour stop at the natural pool to enjoy a drink or a beer 🍺 and mingle with the people on other boats docked near by ❤️🇩🇴💯
I felt this was a rip off. Not only was the package expensive for dolphins who werent cooperating that day. But oh my goodness the price for the pictures were horrific. Not good to hustle your tourists. However, the other acitivitiesnsuch as the bird shows etc...were pleasant.
Dolphins, sharks and rays, there is also a sea lion and parrot show. There are different packages to choose from and this determines how much interaction you have with the dolphins. If you book for a Friday or Saturday you can get the basic package for $99, this is for 1 adult and my Son got to go for free. We upgraded to the middle package for $149 for both of us, you spend more time with the dolphins and get to interact more, I honestly think this is the best value package. This was a day my Son and me will never forget.OK now the downside, you cant take any pictures when you are with the dolphins, all these photographs were taken by a photographer which you have to pay for. It costs $80 for one person, $150 for two etc. They also takes pictures with the parrots, sealion and one holding the ray these are $15 each or $35 for three. You also get a video on DVD and a DVD with the photos, the photos are also put online for 15 days for you to download. In total I paid $115 for video and all photos of my Son.You can get food and drinks there too, chicken strips fries and drink $12, burger fries and drink $12 etc.I would highly recommend this experience although the cost does add up if you buy the photos and video. We did this experience on 1/6/2018. June not January.
Dolphin Explorer was a once in a lifetime experience. They were expensive as anything, but ultimately, something my husband and I will never forget. We were able to hold stingrays and then swim with the dolphins. We spent over 30 minutes with the dolphins in a group of 8 other people. Each couple swam out multiple times to do tricks and swim with the pair of dolphins. We were then treated to a sea lion show and bird show. Tickets were about $150/person, plus a cost per person for photos. If you can let the cost go and relish in the experience, it is well worth it.
