Dollar General in Port Lavaca

DG is absolutely my favorite store, in general. However, this store has aisles cluttered with items waiting to be stocked. On more than one occasion I have had to wait for an associate to appear at the counter to ring up my purchase. Expect to wait for an employee to assist you. No, the store hasn’t been robbed and they’re not tied up in the back. The store is just understaffed and an employee is most likely stocking something in the far corners of the store.

The Dollar General here doesnt have lots of products that I purchase at Dollar General specifically, I have to go out of town to buy them. Seadrift, Port O Connor, Victoria. The employees are very helpful, but its frustrating that our local DG doesnt carry the products I need. 😕

Had some food during the February winter storm

Standing in line as a black person waiting to be checked out doesnt work, because a white person can just come from the other side, jump the line and the cashier will take that person even though he seen me waiting. Would have left my basket FULL of stuff right there if there was a family dollar store near by. Wont be returning. One star because I cant give a zero star.

I like it cause its got that home feeling to it.

Convenient for my kids when they need to shop for them selves. Less people and a little more stable environment for them to be able to be comfortable in while their shopping. 😊😊😊

Good go in and out quick

The person that checked me out was not very friendly I asked formy sunglasses to be wrapped and she ignored me and just put them in my bag.

Clean store friendly service and almost always stocked well. No need to fight Walmart lines.

Vacationing at Magnolia beach. Stopped by for a couple of oItems. Found everything I needed and kept me from having to go to Walmart. Friendly and helpful staff.

I literally hate going here, and the are losing a great customer, that shopped here regularly. (More than 4 times a week). The manager is so rude! Ive had 2 horrible experiences with. And Im so done with this place. The DM seems to not care either, because she obviously is still acting the same way.

Recently re done. It had everything I needed to get.

You can always find anything.

Well we just finished remodeling it so it should be impeccable, great personel and hopefully the remodel will last long ...

Finally found some baby powder didnt see it cause it was on the top shelf good thing I asked. Havent seen any regular baby powder just the ones with cornstarch and I checked alot of places.

Store is nasty, the crates block 80% of the isles.

The store has a wide variety of household items plus foods, it was a little cluttered but otherwise a nice place to shop

Very unorganized.. staff is not friendly.. store is messy and their excuse is under new management and trying to fix it.. but always looks the same

Dollar General is more of a general store than a "dollar store" per se. A fine place to stop for a few quick items and occasionally I like to browse their new stock. Sometimes find an item or items not available at your standard department stores.

Crowded but cool stuff and great deals

Stuff everywhere. They need more help. I blame the folks that wont hire but would rather their employees try to put stuff away and wait on folks...all 2 of them. Real bad business decision on the GM

They have a Super selection of spring /summer items for your home, outdoors, and one-stop shopping for just about everything at reasonable prices.

Convenient, close by ! Nice and pleasant cashiers!
