Doli Kuey Teow Goreng - Restaurant in Taiping, Malaysia
The food is good. The price is a bit expensive....but still maintain with the economic unstable right now.
Disappointed - Char kuey teow tasteless, Nasi Ayam is more like ayam penyet, Mee Kicap.. i donno what im eating.. Doli need to improve fast,. And do read and response to the comments here
after few year not coming, finally come n eat agai.reed many comment before order,. and i make decission. only 1plate special kotiaw grg sharing 3..thanks Allah, im not wasting my money again today...no kerang again ..only prawn....3mouth, 3taste..all same says.... not same like before. hopely this is not my last visit.may come again but maybe when im pension later at 2042.........
What a legendary Doli now??. Bad reviews for your restaurant. Didnt recommended. Feel disappointed, we have to wait for 50 minutes to get our kuey teow goreng biasa. Ur order system is so slow by ur waitress & chef. Must improve ur nescafe and teh ais too it so plain & tasteless.
Very nice this kuey teow goreng...full of prawn.
Not worth the hype. Kuewtaw goreng special not as good as expected. Plus point is on prawn, its alot! Need to wait long queue before can enter. Drink is plain (teh ais). So many better place to eat compare to this place.
Taste: a bit ‘’meh” and tasted just an ordinary char kuey teow. The only special is they cooked using charcoal and nothing else. Doesn’t have the taste of the toasty charcoal pun.Waiting time: super super super super slow and irritating. It’s not worth it to wait 3-4 hours (from berbaris to getting your food donejust for merely a char kuey teow that cooks using charcoal, and nothing else.Cleanliness: not that dirty and not that clean. Also meh too.Worthiness: Not worth at all (especially who comes jauh2 for it). For my personal opinion, Papa Rich’s char kuey teow tastes even better than this. Nope, not gonna come again here, at all.
Another popular restaurant in Taiping. The Fried Koay Teow are good. Not the best, but worth to try. Prices are reasonably cheap. The restaurant is clean and organised. Staff are nice and helpful.
Good tasty food. Fried kuey teow is the speciality but other dishes are also nice. Too bad "kerang" is no longer part of the ingredients of the fried kuey teow, like previously.
Good golly miss dolly...this IS the famous DOLI kuey teow of Taiping, with a branch in TTDI, but its never the same as the ORIGINAL one in Tepen...We havent been here for years...but the taste still remains the same..Local tepen residents still fondly remember when they used to operate from beneath the Larut Matang Supermarket..an open air foodcourt outlet, which made you all sweaty while waiting for your order.. The classic dish is obviously the Doli kuey teow special..which cost RM13 at todays rate..But if you havent had it for awhile, you wouldnt want to miss it for the world!!😋😋😋
Place to be if ure a fried kway teow lover. Nice cozy atmosphere
This is a place for all the foodie out there💯 to try and have a hot delicious fried kuey tiaw. You are not going to regret a single penny, when the portion is big, the topping is absolutely pouring ✨Definitely 10/10. Went to dinner with my friend while ground touring together in Perak 🥰
Quite a bad experience. Difficult to find parking. Once able to park we were ask to queue outside due to SOP social distancing. Took a peek inside, there were at least 10 table empty and only 3 set of table occupied. And one of the table there were looks like the staff was sitting there (they were wearing the same shirt and anly talking to each other and no food on the table)My impression, they are getting very arrogant and think they are the best. Well I WILL NOT GO TO ANY OF THE DOLI KUEY TEOW again. There are other which are better than DOLI. Alfatihah to the original owner of doli kuey teow who i knew when I was a child.
Kway teow special taste good. Price okay. Chicken rice not really. Chicken dry and rice small portion. Service not really fast. Need to improve. Hard to find a parking.
Nothing special about the taste. My ‘kuey teow biasa’ turned out a bit bland that even after adding the ‘cili kicap’ still didnt do the rescue. Nasi ayam so so.
Tried their special fried kueh teow rm13. Just extra prawn on it. Taste wise just ordinary kueh teow goreng. Will I come back. Definitely no.
The kuewteow goreng definitely delicious. Perfectly cooked with generous ingredients. Literally flooded with prawn and the sambal kicap is really to my liking (not too hot).Pricewise, I think its reasonable. The restaurant is comfortable too. Spacious area, with AC. Will definitely repeat!
Look can deceive. Tasteless put cili kicap also so so. Nasi Ayam just nice.
Very poor service for dine in customers..waiting for soooo long to get the seat while so many empty seats are available! Really doesn’t make sense, social distancing still can be managed by utilizing the empty seats
Sedap murah...Cheap and good...Anyone in taiping do try...
An annually MUST come place. Never tried other menu offered. Just Fried Koeteow that has been always turn on my spirit of eating 😁I came all the way from Kedah just for this yummy dish!!
Legendary Fried Kuey Teow and noodles . The taste was really good and i would recommend the Kuey Teow Special , the prawns was fantastic and they put it a lot . Worth the money. Affordable 👍🏽
Good food. I like the koey teow very much. Even without adding soy sauce, the taste is superb. We dont get to try the special one, but the ordinary fried koey teow is to our liking. Keep it up guys (want to give credit to the boy who invited customers in on the afternoon of 20 Sept, he is indeed a committed worker)
A long queue in front of the shop and made me excited to taste the food. But honestly it was so-so for me. Boleh la. Delicious but nothing special for my taste bud. However kudos for the service speed.
Nasi ayam & Fried koay teow was good. Nice portion with reasonable price. I love when heat of the wok remains in food.
This is my favourite place to dine in Taiping! Even if Im on my way from Ipoh I will drop by just to eat Dolis Kuey Teow Goreng, I loved the sambal kicap! Family friendly, air-conditioned, and very comfortable.
The restaurant is air conditioned and the menu are limited but the servings are very fast.. Food is good... Nasi ayam is delicious, really good i ordered another plate of rice..
My dad recommended this kedai, he used to eat here (their old hawker style shop like 20 years ago when he live in Taiping. Still preserving the look & taste.
first of all, the impression i got is recommended.but the impression faded off as i had to stay in there more than what i expected.taste wise its not too bad. i would not use frozen ready-made shrimps as it may spoil the taste.the other thing is the waiting time. i find it a little bit of annoying and i believe there must be a way to go speedier instead of trying to do it the old way.. but thats just me.
If you’re a char kuey teow enthusiast and will go all out to hunt for delicious char kuey teow then you should try Restaurant Doli. This char kuey teow business first started in Taiping since 1975. Doli DEFINES Char Kuey Teow!!
Amongst the best and nostalgic koay teow goreng in Taiping. The servigs is in good potion but it comes will small peeled prawn. Enough to satisfy cravings for koay teow goreng. The establishment also served mee kari and nasi ayam.
Its a restaurant, not a stall (if you were expecting it to be one). Sells kuey teow goreng as their specialty. Others on the menu include mee kari, mee rebus, nasi ayam and kuey teow soup.
Overrated but as it is here since long time ago some may comeback for a memory not the taste. Overall it is just okay. For the first time customer I do suggest go for the special plate which will cost you Rm12. It is worth to try.
Good kueyteow but slightly overrated.Charcoal fried, good taste, good wokhei. Not spectacular. No cockles (see ham), taugeh & chives not crispy.Service a bit lacking, quite slow, uninterested waiters. Ambience is not warm. A bit too sterile. Malay patronage. Parking is bad.
Price reasonable. The kuey teow goreng not meet our expectation, not impressive. After an hour and still no food been served, despite asking directly from the counter several times although only few customers. kuey teow goreng in melaka much more delicious. Try at bukit baru near police station. Its Halal
The kuey teow goreng is so-so, not impressive. Although beyond the control of the shop owner, outside of the shop are several able-bodied beggars, there is one who is very persuassive. Please report to the city council.
First time coming here. On a long weekend. Kuey Teow Goreng was the main hit. It was good. Nasi Ayam was not bad. Service was quite ok despite the restaurant was full. Dont order Mee Rebus. If you ask me, some places have way better. Overall, great place to eat Kuey Teow.
Appropriately raved by the public. Taste is great and the service was fast.Appreciate that they dont have too much on the menu so, the quality doesnt drop for their most famous dish (something seen in certain overrated stores)Would definitely recommend & try it with their "Cili Potong with Kicap"
The food was good especially fried kueh tiow, but I think if they served with chilli slices it will be more delicious. The restaurant is clean and easy to access. They have surau and toilet too.
Tried koey teow goreng special. Delicious and quite a big portion. Worth a try.
Good ‘wok hay’ tasting kueyteow goreng with super small sized prawns. Worth coming once in a while if I’m in the area.
Food with no human touch. Serving staff are very unfriendly. None of them smiled throughout our visit. When waiter wanted to serve drinks, he just kicked 1 chair aside (that chair is used by my daughter but she was washing her hands at the time). Ive never seen a waiter kick chairs aside before in my whole life. What a joke. Kuey teow was so-so only. Plus we had a fried insect along with our order.Lesson learnt. Dont get too hyped for something popular.
Fairly priced menu items. Delicious kuetiau to enjoy anytime of the day. menu is limited but well made. Will surely come back to dine. Must visit place in taiping. Opposite klinik kesihatan taiping. Price range rm5.50 per bowl/plate. Fully air conditioned, restrooms and prayer room available. Fast service. Recommended!
Air conditioning place, you not only ate the kuehteow but they also provide Mee and Nasi Ayam. They cook using Charcoal very traditional. Closed every Friday
The restaurant is clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. Kuey tiaw goreng is nice, to my taste, not too spicy and not too oily. Price a little bit expensive but still acceptable given the place.
- Good place.- Easy access because the restaurant near main road- limited park area during peak hour.- Reasonable price- Fast service. Less than 12 minute.- special menu (special kuey teownot much different than normal kuey teow just add some prawn.- not much variety- Chicken for chicken rice is rough.
I havent really been a fan of Koey Teow in the past. Probably because of the way its cooked. However, this one I really liked. The Koey Teow Goreng was nicely cooked. Not too spicy or oily.
Nice shop with air conditioning but the food is not up to the expectation. Still delicious but nothing special
Average taste . price is ok. mayb the kuey teow is not too oily and the soysauce is a bit sweet. thats makes it special. try it and you judge.
Nice fried kwei teow special cooked by the boss before 12 noon and after 5 pm.
