Dolphin, seal & walrus shows & demonstrations in major marine animal park with touch tanks.
Nice place for kids. Good planning for the shows. Keep in mind the you need at least 4 hours.
I was touched by the love and care you can see in all the animal caretakers. I loved that not only I could see an amazing dolphin show but you also focused on educating people about their lives and struggles.
This was a really pleasant experience for the whole family, I think it will be especially nice during summer... Had a great time dolphin show was great and the kids loved it however the food is expensive 7.50 Euros for a small portion of kibbeling.Toilets and floors could do with a proper clean.
Small park. We visited in October, not much to do. It should be visited during summer time, there is a beach, sliders and 2 playgrounds around. Dolphin and seal show was good.
The place is very nice, with good shows, but its very hard to get a good view at some of them, especially for the small kids. But still, we spent a good 3.5 hours there, and they were engaged and interested most of the time.
Small place but a good visit for the experience. Keep the expectations low and you would very well enjoy. Check for online discounts you would find few. The Harderwijk village itself was very beautiful. P2 has day ticket. Better to park there and walk to the entrance. It takes 4-5 mins. Parking ticket was 10.5 eur. Obviously dolphins were the main attraction. Apart from the shows go to the underground to have near by view of dolphins and walrus. There are slides and play stuff for kids to fully engage. The beach and water slides were closed when we went.
We enjoyed the stay a lot. The whole afternoon was full of nice animal presentations and it was not so crowded - probably due to end of holiday season.
Dolfinarium is small but very neatly organised Dolfine arena. Especially kids will enjoy a lot. There is a also water park inside. The Dolfine show inside the auditorium is fantastic. Shows with seals are impressive. With 16 Euro per head ticket, Dolfinarium is really one of the best budget places to go with family.
Its a very lovely plays with nice personel. If you just walk around there throughout the day you get to see al lot of the behind the scenes stuff. When I was there they were training some of the younger dolphins to get on the weighting scale. The trainers took a really calm and friendly approach to it which was beautiful to see!
This place was very promising and it did provide many highlights, the focus is on education and not on giving a show to the audience which I appreciate, however all the instructed activities are in Dutch. Not very accessible for non Dutch speakers. Dolphins show was the highlight. How much time should you plan to be there? 2-4 hours max. Depending on the kids playgrounds usage..
Great place to spend with the kids. Water play area in summer added bonus . 4 star rating because because in dolphin show acoustics not good and a glow wand toy was being sold for 10 euro a piece ( just a basic toy that lights up kind of sad because a lot of kids would not have got one because of the ridiculous price
Disappointed. We had lunch vouchers, and we are still in line waiting…Parking is 2€ per hour, after paying 20€ each to spend most of the time waiting to eat. Overall, not worth it. A waist of time and money
Had a perfect day, we went straight for the fish petting area, spend most of the day in the waterpark. Slow stroll through the park, visiting some play areas. We have seen the Walrus and dolphin show to end the day.
Go take your time. A lot of the schedule performance or information acts are about the same time of close schedule after each other. Its very interesting and theyre talking in Dutch. I loved it very much
Its a bit run down. The park is not very big, but good for a day. Watch all yhe shows and that leaves you a bit of time to play at the waterpark. The shows are relatively short. There are a few food and snack stations. The longest wait is at the entrance... They have to explain the show time and location, which is a bit weird, takes too long...
The dolphins show was nice but it is very controversial as it is still a circus with intelligent animals. The sea lions show was just boring. The food was quite bad. The best was the swiming in the sea with the kids and throwing the sea flowers one after another. The rays and sharks place should be banned. Sea raysnand sharks should not be touched by the kids. They are not dogs, cats or rabbits... In the sea the ray can kill you quickly. Here not as they stings are removed which is a torture on its own.
My friends from abroad asked me to come with them. I came by (my owncar. Entrance tickets are not expensive, but 10,50 for a parking ticket (and you have to walk quite a bit!is way too high, and came as an unexpected surprise! The employees were friendly, and I like how the main show nowadays also calls humans(and our plasticthe biggest threat. However I wish fish to swim freely in nature, I like how Dolfinarium is working together wih an organization fulfilling the wish of dying people.
Place to spend a day with the kids. Kids can learn about dolphins, walruses, seals, etc. and other sea animals. Place to see and learn sea-animals. The dolphin and the walrus shows were spectacular. Most of the animals have been bred in their facility. You may see activists at the entrace protesting against the freedom violation for these poor animals. So some may awake guilt seeing the caged sea-animals.
So much love and care you will see with a very well time table organised show. Waterpark next to it! Beautiful experience. Staff absolutely loving and caring for animals. Joy!
I cant believe such a place still exists in 2022. Those poor animals are being presented doing tricks for the amusement of people, and all that is a pseudo statement of preservation of life at sea and keeping the ocean clean. An abuse as well as youre green wash, just Horrible! (Not to mention the eyesore of the whole place).
Be careful on toilets there is splash water my partner fail.. and we now need rush to hospital .she have maybe broken arm. And also be on show with Delphine in exactly time. Our better 30 min before. Because when show go on . Gate and door is closed ,and you dont have chance go in there.
Still a fun park for the kids. A little outdated, not al houses look good with woodworks and stuff. The price is a little high. But I can understand it. Been here for like 3 hours. There are lots of shows with the animals you can watch. They also give a lot of information about the animals. So it’s a theoretical lesson for the kids as well. Food and drinks are exspesive. Toilets are kept nice and clean. My advise is to go on the second half of the day. It’s a little less crowded.
Fun place for the kids to see how these smart creatures interact. The place has slowly transformed from entertainment to education session over the years. i fully understand some acts are very strenous for these animals and thus they have been cancelled. they need to be supported. the waterpark however is extremely crowded. be lucky if you find a spot to relax.one star less because not sure why underground glasses to view dolphins are so dirty. there must be a method to clean them with divers.
It’s was nice day but the show was very normal people who works there seemed they don’t have sense to do what they have to do especially the dolphins show I expected to see more
We visited the Dolfinarium and where unpleasantly surprised with the amount of Green washing the park is doing to talk right to its own existence. The animal shows were hardly educational, as the speaker volume was very low during the shows. Not returning here again. The lunch area was quite pover as well with cold fries and chuncky chicken.
Nice place and kids get a chance to learn about and touch sea creatures! Queues before any show time were long, other than that we enjoyed our time
Very nice place - highly recommend to visit. You can feed small sharks and stingrays. Each type of animals have little show on each particular time so you can see feeding and some tricks - very exciting! You can also eat something inside.
Great place for kids, dolphin 🐬 show is nice
A nice place to go and if you consider all the shows you can attend its worth the price too. We had fun being there. Not every food point was open and the menü is not very clear. The Dolphin Show in the dome was great, but be aware that its educational too and not a non-stop action.
Very nice park with amazing animals! Park is however small so don’t expect a big amusement park type of place. We appreciated it not being big so it was good, but also means there is not as much to do and see. Recommend going to all the shows as well, very educational and entertaining to see the animals in action.
Great place to chill out with children. Food is expensive and almost all the coffee shops were closed at spring.
They have dolphins, walruses, seals and more. Nice shows for kids. The aquariums are super dirty and Im not sure its healthy for the animals.
Amazing you have to see this animal friendly park if you haven’t 🤗💝
It has lost its charm. No great shows. Hardly couple of them. They have not maintained well. Very unclean. This place was best 4-5 years before with full fledged entertainment for kids. But I would not suggest anyone to visit and even the ticket price is high. Also the restaurants are closed inside. Not fun anymore.
Awful! Drive 2.5 hours to get there. Only to arrive to a place that looked like it was abandoned. We spent a total of 35 minutes there, and left. Everything was shut ( food places, gift shops that’s were empty inside The animals enclosures were not suitable for the animals extremely small. The business won’t be open much longer. Can definitely tell it’s on the brink of becoming broke. Displays where awful and filthy. A total waste of time and money going there. But definitely would recommend going to wildlands! Much more variety of water animals there then there was at dolphinarium. Please don’t waste your time going here. We had high expectations from the reviews and we were so so disappointed with what we saw.
Everything was a bit dissapointing, almost all shops were closed, no gift shops, no food stands. The animals that were actually here were very pretty and cute, but it was all just so small and anti climatic. Also parking was very expensive and the tickets for the park were a bit pricey, that doesnt matter for me if the park is worth it. Sadly it wasnt for me..
It was a good place to enjoy dolphins and few other sea creatures, like otters and seals. I wasnt really interested in them but my mother was very happy to see them. Parking was a bit far away and costly. Also inside there was only one food stall open so there a huge crowd there. Thankfully we ate before entering the place. Which was oke. Separate entry for wheelchairs and good accessible facilities.
Seeing dolphins was the best!! The show was amazing. I also enjoyed seeing sea lions and walruses. It is not a big place but you can enjoy your time there with family and friends. There were not many cheap food options.
Very nice experience of seeing dophins, seals and sea lions in their own type of habitat! The dolphin show inside the grand arena is also amazing! Always buy tickets online - no ticket selling at the facility
Very cute, family oriented place with trained animals and perfect personnel.
A fun experience for me and my son. The attractions turns we very family friendly and entertaining.
Excellent. Will definitely go again.Dolfinarium Harderwijk, better known as the Dolfinarium, is a marine mammal park in Harderwijk, the Netherlands. It is the largest marine mammal park in Europe
I feel the place is worth going only if you are accompanied by a toddler.
Not organized park, you may miss lots of shows. The food is extremely expensive. Advice is to take food with you. Approximately 4 hours is enough. Good place for kids. Toilets are less and too dirty.
Lovely experience, great opportunity to learn about the work they do and for children (and people of any ageto learn about sea life and dangers of plastic. Lovely to see the animals have a great relationship with the trainers❤ Not a lot of variety in the food department, you will struggle if you prefer to eat healthier or do not eat gluten (so feel free to take your own snacksbut it seems this is direct consequence of covid period, we assume the offering will get better in time, its already a feat it didnt close down!
Absolutely beautiful. The Animals seem all to be very happy staff and caretakers are very friendly. Super worth it. Lots of things to see and do many places to sit and relax as well. All in all a wonderful experience.
We had an excellent day in the Dolfijndomijn today celebrating our daughter’s birthday. We enjoyed the dolphin show and other shows, sea lions and walrus. We found out very late about the nice water park. Thankfully the gift shop stocked some swimware. Thanks to the excellent staff we were able to improvise and the girls got to go in for the last 45 minutes. We recommend a visit and look forward to returning again soon.
I partly agree with people who say that dolphins shouldnt be forced to live this way. On the other hand, they looked healthy and well taken care off. I would like to see a scientific study where it is proven that they are unhappy.
Nice shows. Very well kept sea animals. Clean. Semi corona proof. My kids had fun. There are some nice restaurants just outside Dolfinaruim. Combine it with your visit.
Beautiful park, its not a big place but as we went off season and during the week it was nice and quiet. There was plenty of time to get from show to show with our small kids without rushing and the big Aqua Bella show took the breath away of my kids. They still talk about it today, 3 weeks after our visit. The animals look well kept and in good shape, the food in the restaurant could do with a bit of variety and the souvenir shop was very dull and had little imagination for original gifts, but all round it was a visit to remember.
