Dolce Italia in Colombo

It took a while to get a table because I came with a big group. They should really get more seating. But other than that, the service and food were great. The portions were filling and tasted fresh. Each dish was brilliantly executed. The ambience is lovely and soothing and very very Italian.

Worst food ever for ridiculous prize. I bought a carbora from this place and it was garbage, carbonara should be made with bacon and they put bologna instead. The carbonara should be creamy and this was just bland spaghetti with some oil and for the cheese they just gave a cup of cheese. My family also ordered from this place and the food was garbage. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE !!!. There are way better and cheaper Italian restaurants that actually care for the customers and the food they make. DO NOT, buy in to the positive reviews that is given hear.

I come all the time. Very consistent in their food. The pizza may not be to everyones likings but it is unique. Have tried most of the things on menu and the it tastes very authentic. Atmosphere and vibes are great too :)

This place was amazing. Absolutely calming & beautiful ambiance. The waiters are really friendly and attentive. The food is the “BOMB”! Been here several times before and have never been disappointed. We ordered the fantasia di carni pizza (the all meat pizzawith bresaola on top. And the ravioli with beef filet and riccota cheese. Loved it. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have some good food in Colombo. Definitely 5 stars for you guys.

Ordered "Special Biffalo Mozarella" and its definitely not worth it price. I added mushrooms as an option for 600rp, and it was awful decision, because they have added mushrooms from the can that has no taste at all, the also didnt added any basil leaves, and except Mozarella Buffalo there is should be normal Mozarella, which I couldnt find eventually. So my experience was pretty bad, couldnt recommend to anyone.

Authentic Italian food, baked goods. If you are a lover of Italian food and enjoy your own cooking, the resraurant has a lot of the ingredients for sale. Tad expensive but worth it. Did a take away of Vellutata verde fresche (veg soupand Stroza preti verdure ( fresh home made wheat pasta with veg sauce). It was delicious. Pasta was sticky though, like mochi. Overall exoerience good.

Definitely a go to place for a casual and quick lunch/ brunch. Lots of vegetarian/ vegan options. Love it.

It was a great place with a family vibe. The staff were very nice and accommodating considering we were there with a 7year old and very naughty 2 year old. The manager too was helpful as it was my daughters birthday and he helped organize a cake with candle for her. Highly recommend cos the food is great too

It really looks like Venice, w the wooden chairs and that moonlight sort of effect, idk how they do it, but they do.We always sit outside when we go here, they have tiny rotating fans hug up, so it’s not hot. The place is really nice for couples to go in for a small dinner date as well. I haven’t been here during the day. Once I do, I will update on the post.Food however is OMG AMAZING. Their pizzas are super authentic tasting and their margarita pizza is just amazing. So much cheese!I usually don’t (can’t more likehave only vegetarian food, but omg I’d give up all meat for this margarita pizza, all day erry day!Their Prawn & Zucchini pizza is also Oh-So-Good!You can get half & half as well, which is always a good thing.You can BYOB here and there is no corkage charge.They also do a CBP (Chocolate Biscuit Puddingwhich is intensely chocolatey and SO GOOD, one person cannot have it by themselves !4 of us shared 1 of these CBP’s and I promise you, it’s more than enough.Their orange juice is really good too, it comes w pulp and prolly why it’s on the pricier side.All in all I love this place and is definitely one of my favorite pizza places, hands down.

Great food near Colombo, love the authentic Italian taste. Absolutely recommended for Rissorto Ravioli n smoke salmon salad.But pizza wasnt our favourite, this is the second time we didnt like it. But the crust was amazing home baked. Really recommended the sweet collection.We even bought original olive oil from their collection. Next time we will definitely go for pasta collection.

One of the best pizzas I had tried in Sri Lanka.. It was crispy thin crust with a lovely flavor.. The food and drinks were very good.. The service was also quite attentive.. There is a nice vibe inside.. The prices are bit on the high side.. But I think its worth the price.. They allow you to BYOW.. Good Italian food with a glass of wine is always a treat.. Highly recommended.

Beautiful outdoor setting, supportive, efficient and friendly waiting staff. The Dolce Italia bruschetta was a generous serving and can amount to an entire meal if opted for a light-snack. A heap-full of freshly diced tomatoes, olive oil drizzle, sprinkle of mozzarella cheese, pitted and sliced black olives, fresh basil and chicken bacon paired with an optional accompaniment of Balsamic vinegar really hit the sweet spot and we were off to a banger-of-a start. We were served focaccia and breadsticks on our very short wait on the entrée. The pizza Margherita was oven fresh, with a generous spread of Mariana sauce, packed with flavourful Italian herbs and spices in every bite and cheesy goodness nested on a soft thin-crust pizza baked to perfection. The gnocchi is also a definite recommend. Absolutely looking forward to try test out a decadent variety of Italian cuisine at its best, on my next visit! Loved this place. I believe they have authentic Italian food even the owners are italian and seem to be engaging with crowd there. We had pizza and pasta which were really good. They also allowed us to bring our own wine.

Super cozy and warm place. Friendly staff. We got our food very fast and it was delicious!!!The owner came to us and offer a glass of home wine as a compliment. It was so sweet. Also they have nice shop with Italian groceries inside which I also liked.

Ordered a pizza, some sweets, and espresso. All of them were good. Staff was efficient and courteous. One less star because the water glass had a not so nice smell.

We have been coming here for dinner quiet a few times...Our today dishes are Prowns salad,Mare e monti with prowns and mashrooms, ravioli al polla with chicken, and milkshake.Thanks for making really nice food we really enjoyed it.

Delicious food! Authentic Italian food. And they have BYOB. So you can take your own wine or drinks. Ambiance is wonderful and such a cool place!

Please dont go.i ordered chicken lasagna but actually cant eat. Too much sour.they are friendly but after i ordered a Americano coffee to take away they had given me half of the cup coffee. Just pretending the full of the cup.

Went out with my long time friend and after Covid 19 lockdown it was a treat. With all precausion taken Dolce Italia is buzzing. The food is still awesome. Service I would not like to comment as may be due to situation in most places its a bit on the low side. We ordered two types of pizza. Chicken carbonara and Margarita..the first serving of the chicken carbonara was not up to standard but the margarita was bellisimo...We requested they give us a more creamy Chicken carbonara and well the second one was just right.. so thank you.. I think that was good customer service .So do keep up the standards it has always held. I would always recommend this place for Itlaian lovers.. 👍👍👍👍

My go to dish is the buffalo mozzarella pizza, can easily be shared between two, they also do very good agnolotti and risotto. The bruschetta is also very fresh with their own homegrown tomatoes and if you like chocolate make sure to try their version of chocolate cannoli made with puff pastry, it’s heavenly, specially when paired with a shot of espresso.

One of my first Italian food spots in Colombo. Authentic food with a lot of options. They also have frozen pizza and pasta.

Busy atmosphere, and the service coped with the pressure. Advisable not to sit next to to the kitchen as you will walk away with clothes smelling of kitchen exhausts!Its possible that the outside portion of this converted house restaurant would be better.Bruschette for starters was good, while the Grilled Modha fillet was enjoyable.The value for money was not there.

One of the best Italian restaurants with authentic taste.We ordered so many dishers including ravioli , pizza, smoke beef pizza, pasta , tuna etc etc...everything was just amazing . Amazing taste.Has a great variety of dishes including some unique desserts and assortmentsA nice small place has indoor and out door seating . Parking might be a bid difficult on busy days. Ive ordered pizza before from here and is usually good. But one pizza they sent me today (Ciaccinowas burnt, and came without cheese. The owner told me that Ciaccino is a type of bread that does not come with cheese. I am not Italian to understand that, and the menu on uber eats listed the item under the pizza section , so was really disappointed when the order arrived. Unfortunately, the owner was not able to understand my issue when I explained to him.Edit: I completely agree with the owners response. But for a non Italian, in this part of the world, no one knows that a Coaccino is not really pizza. My suggestion is, to avoid misunderstandings with other customers, it would be prudent for the owner to list Ciaccino as a separate section from pizza on the Uber eats menu, or display a warning message that this item has no cheese and sauce

Dont order the lasagna -- its mushy. Their Americano with biscottis decent though. The waitstaff are very helpful and efficient.

Absolutely great food. Love the pizzas. Rs.2000/- per head. The thin crust pizza is done just right, and not at all spicy so good for kids. You can ask for chilli and extra olive oil. Indoor and outdoor dining area available. Parking is limited, but street parking is available. Seats about 25 to 30.

Great place. This is very spacious and the interior looks lovely. These staff is friendly.We had a 4-cheese pizza (Quattro fromaggio), chocolate milkshake, chicken lasagna and a lime sorbet. Food is on the expensive side but they sure are worth it. The lasagna and the pizza were delicious, and the milkshake was generously chocolate-y. Would definitely visit again.
