Excellent Friday night dinner at the bar during restaurant week. Cute bartender was knowledgeable and quick. Freshest seafood…raw oysters, tuna, and flounder were so delicious. Key lime pie was excellent…not too sweet. Great piano entertainment to boot. Will be back for more.

We visited for the first time October 11th. We didnt have a reservation but had no real wait time on a Tuesday evening. I have to say the service and food is impeccable - and I dont give compliments easily. Our Server, Dan, was friendly and informative. Nancy was very attentive with an infectious smile and appeared to be quite experienced, even though she was in training. Our Appetizers, especially the Maine Chowder, and Entrees were delicious. Both orders came out fresh and the timing was on point. The Restaurant itself is cute with a nostalgic ambience. A little noisy but its very open so I assume that plays on the acoustics. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in the Atlantic City area.

Excellent all around Seafood House!! Dock’s is top shelf when it comes to fresh seafood. I’ve only been 1 time but I’ll definitely be going back. Everything I ordered was amazing. Shrimp and grits appetizer, clam chowder, crab cakes & the potato crusted flounder were all prepared to perfection and out of this world. The ONLY Seafood house to eat at when your in A.C. (That is if you can get a reservation). Wait staff was super friendly & the prices were better than reasonable. Almost to good to be true. If I could give it 6 stars I would!!

We had reservations and were seated promptly. Our waitress Jody, was attentive, friendly and well versed with menu and specials. My husband had the Red Snapper jambalaya style and I had the salmon special with risotto and shrimp. We also had Calamari for an appetizer. Everything was absolutely delicious. I would recommend Dock’s to anyone. Thanks for the wonderful dinner.

Mixed experience, we went at 430 for happy hour but bar was slammed so we sat to eat for full price. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff if a little under-trained (cocktails were great but our server didn’t know which was which). We ordered the raw bar sampler for 2. Everything was too cold, which is obviously tricky with health regs but should be figured out. Ceviche lacked good acid hit and had too much onion. Oysters were by far the best thing and the mussels were inedible. We also had steamers which in jersey are steamed littlenecks. Delicious. 100 bucks. Mixed bag.

I came here for the first time this 4th of July weekend. I must say the service and food here is absolutely outstanding. My server Daniella was friendly and very attentive. I ordered the corn and clam chowder and the salmon special and both orders came out fresh and delicious. The bartender can really whip up a nice cocktail as well. The restaurant itself is very elegant and clean. Based on everything, I could clearly see why this place has been in business since 1897! I will definitely visit again the next time I visit the Atlantic City area.

Best place to eat in Atlantic City. We made reservations at a similarly named restaurant by mistake and they still got us in right away. Daniella was our server and she was fabulous. We had lobsters that were out of this world. Everything from the cocktails to our sweet smiling bus boy was perfect. After eating at a few of the highly rated restaurants in town, this is hands down the best pick.

I had the best dinner here. Our server was so kind and on point with our orders, and suggested delicious oyster selections! During the course of our dinner, there was a staff who was always looking out for my water refill which is gladly appreciated! They were both very sweet and brought me so much joy while I dined here. 10/10 would definitely come back again :)

We had the calamari and crab cakes as an appetizer . The calamari was so light and crunchy and the crab cakes were off the chain. The lobster Mac and cheese is good except it didnt fill me up so if you’re looking for a meal that fills you up, the lobster Mac and cheese won’t do you lol.I had the cream brûlée , it was great but I loved the apple crisp dessert more. The apples are also Granny Smith apples so they are a little tart. Eat the ice cream with the apple crispy in moderation if you’re not a fan of tart stuff. Also , if you want potato fries , get the regular … not the shoestring . We were misled by our waitress about that but out of everything . The food was amazing 10/10 and the service was wonderful. Coming back here every time I’m around AC.

Such a great atmosphere! Dim lighting, great music, a very intimate setting. I went for the oysters and they were plump, juicy and delicious. The pinot was chilled to perfection and complimented them well. My server had a wonderful french accent which added to the vibe and who was very knowledgeable of the menu and the specials, very attentive and polite. Cant wait to return!

Came here Saturday night for dinner—thank goodness we had reservations because the place was packed! Cute vibe inside. Since our table wasn’t ready because we came a bit early, we decided to grab drinks at the bar. The drinks were AWFUL!! Our mojitos tasted like straight up lime juice which was super sour—when I flagged down the bartender, he assured us that he used Bacardi rum—which we barely tasted. The Moscow Mule was also horrible—overloaded with ginger beer and tons of lime. All four of us disliked our cocktail drinks. At the table, we were still disappointed with our drinks. Luckily, the food here was quite delicious, which made it a bit more enjoyable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Bronzino and Grilled Octopus—both well flavored and so delicious!!! The Crabcakes, Salmon Special and Raw Oysters were good too!

After hearing about Docks from so many locals and visitors over the years, and after seeing it featured on Anthony Bourdains show, I finally got to experience the one and only Docks Oyster House for the first time ever thanks to my husband. Not only was it my first time but it was extra special because it was an impromptu anniversary dinner for us.You walk in and its like "WOW! So THIS is what the hype is about!" And then you continue to walk through the restaurant to your table and its like "Oh my God! This is amazing! I cant believe I get to eat here!"The ambiance is... beyond the description of mere words. Theres literally the hull of a boat as the entire second floor! Plus an actual lifeboat on the wall. The decor sings "youre in Atlantic City and dont you forget it!" Its absolutely beautiful. The staff is very on point. Our server was Taj and he was superb! The Sangria and Honey Bee cocktails were a great aperitif to our meal. My husband is not the biggest fan of squid but their Fried Calamari really won him over and that is saying something. The Beet Salad and the Whitefish Dip are also praiseworthy. The Branzino and Potato Crusted Flounder are out of this world! I dont even like quinoa but I didnt want to stop eating it.Finally the perfect end to the meal were the Cream Cheese Pie with sorbet and Banana Cream Pie.THANK YOU DOCKS!As an AC local and Google reviewer, eating at your restaurant has always been a huge bucket list item, I just didnt expect to love it as much as we did!

This may be one of the better meals that I have had in my Life. To start, everything on the menu was clearly labeled Gluten Free if it was, so this was a huge help. We started with the chilled seafood sampler for two which was AMAZING. I have never said this in my Life, but I think the top neck clams may have been the highlight of this dish. We then split a Maine chowder, and this was stellar. Finally we had the crab stuffed flounder and red snapper dishes that were out of this world. Jodie was a fantastic server and she even got young Connor (the piano playerto play Purple Rain for me on my Birthday. We will absolutely be back. This time, with more people. Go here.

Very good raw bar. Oysters are per piece with a decent pricing. Meals are very filling, so not recommended to over do it on appetizers. The server recommendations were very good. My pictures show a small beet salad, but that is because they split it into 2 for us

We decided to stop by a place called the docks oyster house. And yes, it is pretty darn good. The selection of oysters that we had were fantastic, I would go with the horseradish or the vinegar, over the cocktail sauce, on pretty much all occasions. The fried oysters, and four different flavors were pretty awesome. We had the original, Buffalo, wasabi something, and the Parmesan. All flavors were pretty good, but the wasabi flavor wins this one.The lobster mac & cheese, not a huge mac & cheese fan, but it was delicious and they were good chunks of lobster meat. And also being a New England guy, I did destroy the shell and got the rest of meat from it 😄😄.The meatballs were pretty dense, overall good. The clam chowder, that was a surprise to me. Back in Boston, when you have this chowder, it’s pretty thick and hearty. Here it was way more soupy, and the clams came with the shell. Overall, the flavor was very enjoyable, but I think I prefer the Boston version of the chowder.

Amazing food! Beautiful restaurant. Excellent service. The restaurant was packed and no reservations available but the bar was first come first served. So we valeted the car and walked in. Went to the bathroom and came out to 2 empty chairs right at the corner yay! Best spot as it is were not squeezed between people. And because it was where the wait staff came to pickup drink orders it was guaranteed to have a bartender always there 😉. Rich was a master multi tasking bartenter/server! He took our orders and bartended and not a single mistake! And somehow he also anticipated our needs: extra napkins, utensils and another drink.Ordered 2 of each Fried Oysters, Broiled Oysters and Raw Oysters. Fabulous! Weve never had fried or Broiled. The only 1 we would never try again is the raw Old Salt, that was like eating salt wow...Blackened Red Snapper over Jambalaya and Sea Scallops over Broccoli Rabe and Mash. So good!Honey Bee and Dark Falls were delicious drinks and Im not a drinker.Opened in 1897. Definitely a must visit!!! Great food and service no wonder they have been around for so long!

Well, this past Saturday my wife and I decided to stop by Atlantic City (my 1st time in AC, her 2nd). After driving around the city a bit we got hungry and we logged into Yelp to find someplace to eat. We chose Docks Oyster House, and believe me this place didnt disappoint. We called ahead for reservations bit it was booked all night, we were told though, that we can sit by the bar on a firts-come-first-serve basis.I drove towards their parking lot, thats where we met Chris, a fine energetic, amiable, young man.Once inside we noticed its packed, and it had live piano music. We spotted a couple of empty bar stools, heres where we met one of the funniest, friendly and skilled bartender weve ever encountered: Rich.I ordered a cocktail called Honeybee it came with a honeycomb stirring stick lol, the drink was perfectly made: not too sweet not too strong, just right. My wife just had a Coke. For appetizers we had to order Oysters of course! We got 2 of each: Grilled, Raw, Broiled and Fried. They were all so delicious. For entrees she opted Pan Seared Scallops with Mash, I went with Pan Sautéed Red Snapper. Her scallops tasted very fresh, tender with a hint of sweetness. My Red Snapper came with a delicious red sauce that complimented the fish well. For a second drink I got the Dark Falls, tasty and well served. When you visit this place I sincerely hope that youre fortunate enough to meet Chris and Rich, they offer extraordinary customer service, thanks to both we had an epic time! Please do not be cheap nor crass here, tip your bartender, server, piano man and valet, they deserve it!

Such a great restraunt!! Great atmosphere with hristmas carol piano music playing in the background. Wonderfully decorated for the season, pine boughs and lights. Very friendly attentive staff. The food was delicious! The crab and corn chowder was exquisite. The lobster and filet mignon were both perfectly seasoned and cooked. Their homemade Tiramisu was delicious and a perfect end to a meal. Do not hesitate to eat here.

One of the premier restaurants of Atlantic City, and maybe in all of the Jersey Shore. Dock’s offers a wide array of delicious seafood and quality steaks. If you’re looking for lobster, will a 7lb’er suffice? You can choose the size of your lobster tail to ensure you don’t leave hungry. The ambience is similar to an old-fashioned steakhouse and the bar is a great place to wait for your table. There are few reasons to leave the casinos of Atlantic City, this place is one of them.

So, Ive always wanted to come here ever since Ive been visiting Atlantic City. It did not disappoint. Our server, Walter, was helpful, charming and funny. The sear on the fillet mignon was so good making it a really good eat. The mash potatoes was creamy and the demi glaze sauce tied very thing together nicely. The date enjoyed the seasoning on the halibut, shrimp, risotto and the lobster sauce. The mint ice cream was a refreshing way to end the meal. Ambience was good too.I agree with other reviews: for special occasions, definitely recommended. But, one can get used to eating like this on the regular too. Well be back for sure.

Bronzino is a huge portion - so order when you’re hungry. Nicely pan seared and super fresh! Steak was cooked exactly as ordered and the ambience feels very nautical.Someone told me there was a dress code in the past but we saw people with T-shirt’s and sandals 🩴 so not sure if that applies for now.Our server Taz was cordial and knew his dishes. An established seafood restaurant that will have all the seafood dishes you’d expect. The service was excellent. The venue, large and spacious. We came at the first seating at 4pm since it was quite hard to get reservations, huge inflow of folks coming for happy hour but those won’t be applicable if your not sitting at the bar.All the seafood dishes was fresh. Good selection of oysters with good accompanying sauces, and very thoroughly cleaned :). The only dish I didn’t like was the snapper crudo which was rough and chewy. Stick to fresh oysters and avoid the fried version.

This is a casual spot where you can hang at the bar or enjoy a great meal at the table. The service is excellent and the meals does not fall short! The oysters are super fresh and you cant go wrong with any choice of preparation. The clam chowder is not as thick as usual but the fresh clams and the flavor of the broth is a winner. The rack of lamb or the steak will surely please and is paired with a hearty homemade mashed potatoes and garlic spinach! Goodness! My compliments to the chef...

We make sure to come here every single time we’re in Atlantic City.Fried calamari is consistently to die for. So fresh and tasty!Last time we got happy hour food, oysters were awesome, lobster mac’n’cheese is served in a lobster tail shell and maybe that’s the reason it was dry.All seafood is super fresh and well treated.Bailey’s mousse was great, lemon meringue pie had an odd texture, seemed like it got torched awhile time ago and the burnt crust became wet.The Chardonnay I had was outstanding. We will be back.
