Down-to-earth hangout offering seafood grub & live music, plus an airy patio on the ocean.
The Pink Shrimp Salad never disappoints. Waterside dining with great views of the shrimp fleet.
Seafood here is some of the best in the area. Great view of the back bay from anywhere on the patio. My favorite thing to order seems to always be whatever the special is, so order that if it sounds good. I like to sit at the bar too as there is a decent selection of beers on tap. If you are on Estero island, its just over the bridge and a u-turn once you drive over it. Be sure to stop in before you leave town!
Great place on the harbour for fresh fish. Good service. So picturesque. Watch the fishing boats come in.
One of my favorite restaurants in town. I love the fried fish . Great service and amazing view
Beautiful location, live music, outstanding service, and delicious food.We loved everything from start to finish. The grouper cheeks appetizer was amazing. The fish was fresh and tasty. The beans and rice were yummy. The key lime pie was probably the best Ive had in a very long time.Abel did a great job and made us feel taken care of.Highly recommended!A++
Delicious dinner. Drinks were very good. Fun atmosphere. Great night out. Enjoyed the music.
Fried Grouper cheeks were soo delicious. Fried whole snapper was soo good as well! Also the fried shrimp was really good.Patricia was extra nice she even helped get my son to eat all of his food.Highly recommend place to go.
What an amazing lunch!!We Ordered fried green tomatoes for an appetizer & my wife & I shared crab cake sliders & Coconut Crusted Grouper sandwich. Everything was super fresh & delicious. The bartender "Ginger" was very attentive & helpful. Her suggestions along with the beautiful view helped us enjoy the best lunch in a long time.
Outstanding food in a beautiful spot, convenient, with marina close by. Service was fantastic!
Dixie has fast become my go-to first stop for all things fish when Im in town. And their coconut coladas are heaven in a glass.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Dixie Fish Co last night and had a great time.We gave our server Alisha a little bit of a rough time but she handled it well and was awesome all night. The only reason this is a 4 star review instead of 5 is because the whole restaurant is outdoor seating. We didn’t know that before going and felt a little foolish after arriving. The fans in our area didn’t work very well, so even though it wasn’t sweltering out, it was still slightly unpleasant. Had we been able to feel the fans from our seats we would have been perfectly comfortable. Also, the sweet tea is not super southern-style sweet, so if you’re like my father-in-law or husband, you will not prefer it. LolFood was great! We started with smoked fish dip, calamari and fried green tomatoes.Entrees on the table included fish and chips, the whole fried fish, and I had the moonshine mussels as my dinner. The star of the show was 100% the fried fish.We will definitely be back.
Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!! Best tasting ceviche, pasta and mahi tacos ever! Luna our waitress was awesome and the ambience was great! If you are in Fort Myers, please go there! You wont regret it!
All of our food was delicious! I ordered the whole fried fish, best decision - it was so good! We also had the peel and ears, which were really good too. Cant wait to go back!
The food was great and the service was on point! This is the first time I’ve been here and I will definitely go again!!!
What an amazing experience. The best bloody mary and seafood. The hot sauces were on point. Thanks for being so wonderful.
Awesome restaurant! Great food. Excellent service. Caroline and Brenda were stellar and went above and beyond to make sure our party was comfortable! Robert and Douglas gave top notch service! Would eat here again any time over other competitors.
We had the best dinner on the beach at Dixie Fish Co. The three of us enjoyed the blackened grouper bites for an appetizer (YUM!!), fried shrimp, the fried whole fish, and the shrimp tacos. Every bite was delicious. Awesome drink menu, and key lime pie for dessert! The live music made the awesome atmosphere even more enjoyable! Our favorite part was the outstanding service provided by Alex! Thankful for a good meal and a great time!
The place is very nice, a very good atmosphere. The best fried fish in all of Fort Myers I recommend it 😋
Great place for a view of the water. Live music playing in the background, not to loud so you can talk. Doug is a great bartender if you belly up to the bar. The fried whole fish is a must try!!! Much better place to eat vs. the beach, better price too!
Excellent fish, excellent service and super relaxing atmosphere by the water. We loved the whole fry fish and the smoking Mary bloody Mary
Ceviche, drinks and whole fried fish was amazing. All staff was friendly and accommodating. Kevin was on point!
Every vacation there is a quest to find the best restaurant for dinner. Sometimes well find it on the first day. Other times its the very last night. Either way, its luck for sure and this time it happened on the last day of our trip! The beachy/laid-back atmosphere is one of the best the area has to offer. We grabbed dinner at the bar to avoid a wait. Plus, I enjoy eating at the bar and seem to always get better service that way. Anyway for starters, the fried green tomatoes were a steal! Thicker breading than Im used to but still light and crunchy. You get 9-10 big slices for only $6.95. you dont have to worry about not having enough to share with this app. The side salad had the most unique croutons. They were these soft, cornbread cubes. Different and delightful. I had a coconut shrimp dinner with red beans and rice and red potatoes and my husband had a grilled shrimp dinner (Dixie stylewith red potatoes and zucchini with red tomatoes (not pictured unfortunately). The Dixie style grilled shrimp were delicious and you get so many! Lastly, Ive tried key lime pie from several restaurants and grocery stores while Ive been here. These guys had the best by far in my opinion. This place is a gem and one that Ill come back to year after year.
The main reason Im giving 5 stars is because of the waiter Alex. This young man has awesome customer service skills. Very courteous, always had a smile, very attentive, just really nice. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was too greasy and bready. You could barely taste the fish. My boyfriend got the catch of the day Triple tail fish (I think). His was delicious. Wish Id gotten that instead. Other than that the atmosphere was great. Live entertainment, the view of the water was nice. Will go back. And order something different next time.
What a great lunch! We lucked in to a table at the front corner, right on the water. Watched the birds flying over the water, including a few pelicans that alternated between diving into the bay and landing on a post nearby to groom. A dolphin treated us to a few jumps, very unexpected and fun. To top it all off, the food and service were great as well! We would definitely return.
Fast, Clean, Delicious. Walked right up and had a seat at the bar at 8pm on a Saturday. It was busy but they were prompt. Food came fast. I had the crab stuffed grouper and cheddar potato cake. So dang good. Live music was good. Great views as well. Im a local but it was my 1st time here. Ill be back.
We came here for the deep-fried whole fish, but unfortunately, they were sold out. We did show up late (8pm), so I couldnt hold that against them, just disappointing. I ended up getting the Catch of the Day, which was Hog fish. It was very good. We shared a plate of loaded chips. These are house made chips and very tasty. The server was outstanding (Robert S). He made wonderful recommendations and made sure we were happy the whole visit. I sampled my friends Grouper bites, and they were excellent. Not a bad meal to be had here! Oh, and their drinks are fabulous 👌!
Food was good but the waitress was lackluster at best. Once we ordered virgin mango margaritas she lost her desire to wait on us. Our bill was still $70 for two people! Portions were good and the loaded chips were amazing! Great to sit outside and so close to the water, good music, a really good vibe although loud definitely a place to go back to!
This beautiful waterfront restaurant allows you to enjoy your meal and your company under a relaxing shade, as you watch all sorts of boats pull in from a distance. They offer a relaxing and vibrant atmosphere with a very knowledgable, friendly, and very environmental aware staff (Taking any scraps before the wind may blow it to the ground)! The most appealing items on the menu were create your own entrée with a choice of fish, the way it is prepared and 2 side dishes.I got the Grouper cooked the award winning Dixie Style way that came with garlic butter, and sides of red beans with rice and potatoes. With 5 different ways of your choice of how the fish is cooked, it’s very difficult not to try all of them!
The food, service and view was really good. If your a seafood lover this is the place.
Yum yum 🤤 , 😊 I love their fried whole fish 🐠… nice sitting, complete chili sauce bar and water view… very enjoyable environment and live music. 🎶
Great service, terrific location, beautiful view, flavorful and fresh food that came out hot. Key lime pie is the best in the area. Chill environment that is accommodating. Drinks are delicious and well priced. We loved our service! This place is the real deal.
Very nice atmosphere. Live music, right on the water. Employees are top notch. I cant say anything bad about this place.
Second time here. Dixie is an affiliate of Doc Ford’s. Casual place, directly on the water. Doug provided great service and jokes despite our whining about the breeze. We came for some peel and eat shrimp but once we heard the special of the day, we opted for it instead. Blackened Triple tail with risotto. We each had a cup of the clam chowder too. Both were delicious. We’ll come back again.
I thought it was above average, but I had some problems with my food. I think the bun on my grouper sandwich fell apart a little bit too much. Good spot but not the best ever. My family loved the key lime pie. I thought it was just average. Worth a shot, but probably not one of the absolute best places around. That being said, Gus was an absolute stud of a waiter. Love that guy. He had great recommendations
Loved this place! Sits right on the water with a beautiful view. I highly recommend the Yucatan Shrimp Tacos - absolutely delicious! Nice selection of local beer and a great atmosphere. Would love to come back on my next trip here.
Great views and Josie was a superfriendly server. The fried green tomato app was tasty, would recommend. Worth a visit if youre looking for a fun and friendly dinner.
Despite some crazy efforts to find parking, we were very happy with our evening at Dixie Fish Co. We were lucky to snag some bar seating, and the restaurant continued to fill as we dined, so there was a bit of a line as we left. Our bartender was awesome; very attentive, prompt and friendly. She was also very honest when we asked her recommendations, and actually suggested the less expensive option each of us was considering! This was very refreshing, as I never know if a server is just trying to get me to spend more. Her suggestions were perfect: my shrimp burger was very flavorful, and the red potatoes a perfect side; wifes BLTAE was fresh and hearty, with a generous portion of fries. We also enjoyed the selection of local beers on tap, the overall atmosphere, and the views of the harbor. Be prepared to search hard for parking, and wait to get in, but it is worth it!
This is a nice open air, water front place near a bunch of fishing boats. Ive seen better water front views but this is not bad. The fried green tomatoes were ok. The margarita was real good but expensive as they were served in little plastic cups at $10 each. The grilled shrimp was real good, wife raved about them. My grouper was a small portion but really good compared to others Ive had. Also the beans n rice and collards were good sides. Thinking about coming back.
Love eating at Dixies. Great waterfront dining and bar with live music.. Not the biggest menu but if its seafood you want they have a great selection and its fresh. The potato chips they make there are awesome. Nice choice of local draft beers and drinks.
Delicious food and beautiful view, also Great service from Leah and Allie We had Grouper Reuben and Shrimp Burger and also loved the key lime pie
Great setting with view overlooking the water. Ordered the evening special which was the Pecan crusted Hog Fish with risotto, the meal was delicious. The only reason for the four stars was that my wife’s shrimp pasta was bland and the shrimp was over cooked and chewy. Overall I would recommend and would visit again when in the area.
Long wait for a table and even longer for the food, but if you order the whole fried fish, its worth the wait. Not much to offer vegetarians and vegans, but sitting dockside was pleasant. Go early and prepare to wait.
Celebrated my sis birthday! Delicious food with excellent service. We were a party of 10 and let me tell you it was packed, but GIINGER our waitress was superb!!! She was amazing and on top of it all. Very hard to find this kind of service these days. Thank you Giinger! A must stop. Order the fish, you won’t be disappointed. Ask for Giinger. Highly recommend.
Lovely place. Small and worth the shuffle of finding a seat. The mussels were good, but Tanners on the Lake still has them beat. These had a bit of a sweet flavor to them. Perhaps the moonshine instead of wine? Comes across sort of cinnamony. Sadly, they do not have any ciders at all. The view is nice and the open air and breeze is lovely, especially when paired with the light, live music. I would come here often, if I were a local.
Great place to sit on the dock, inside/outside. Great food, great service and will trained staff. We had fish tacos best ever Great clam chowder and the grouper bites were excellent!
Thus restaurant never disappoints!! The food is amazing, great atmosphere and friendly service. Live music and great views. I highly recommend. A must try is the whole fried fish...Omg delish! Best creamy clam chowder too.
Food was excellent and it’s such nice atmosphere. We had shrimp and the crab cake sliders with spiked strawberry lemonade and key lime pie for dessert. Everything was delicious.
A very laid back feel in this restaurant. The menu was small and simple but the food was outstanding. We had the shrimp burger and the whole fried fish. It did not disappoint. The prices were very reasonable as well.
Dixie Fish Company was our first stop on our vacation and what a great way to start our vacation. We arrived right at 11am and were seated right by the water which meant we had a great view while we dined. We ordered the grouper cheek bites, smoked fish dip, fish and chips, and a couple of beverages. All of the food was delicious and arrived quite quickly. We had quick, attentive, and friendly service. Parking is somewhat limited in front of the restaurant. We’re glad that we arrived early. Definitely worth the visit for the views, drinks, and food.
Last minute decision for a dinner date and when we got there we were told it would be an hour to sit at a table so we ended up sitting at the bar where we were greeted served and taken care of very quickly. The staff was very nice and our food came out quickly. Everything tasted good great and they were constantly checking in on us. It was my first time there and overall a very good experience.
