Diwan in Jerusalem
Description
One of the best hummus Ive ever eaten. Top Price-quality and nice friendly stuff for a filling meal after visiting Jerusalem.
MoreGood quality price ratio
Great hummus, good amount of hummus, also coming with free falafel balls.. very tasty
MoreExcellent food, big meal, fast service. Quite crowded and loud but we got a table fast and there was no hurry to eat. If you come to Jerusalem give this place a try!
MoreGreat place! We found this place online and were not disappointed. Delicious hummus and falafel. I would recommend visiting this place.
MoreGot to this location by foot because of a job we were doing nearby.Went here to get falafel and were surprised by the nice-boutique feeling of this small establishment.Got a falafel sandwich for each of us. 22nis each, on the high side price wise. The sandwich was great. Ben-sira, you got great balls! They had a crunchy exterior and a moist interior. I’m not sure if they do, but they tasted like they had fried onions in them.Hummus and tahini were phenomenal. And were made on location (note if you’re pregnant…).The pitta was soft and fresh. The veggies were in nice big chunks and had a fresh crunch to them. All in all, I liked this place. And I thank The Lord that I found this hole-in-the-wall.This location doesn’t seem to have Glatt meat.No close parking to this restaurant.—kosher rabbinate Jerusalem —
Moreeverything was fresh and clean. amazing hummus 👌🏽restrooms are clean
The hummus here tasted like nothing else I tried. For reason, it was the smoothest, most buttery, most chickpea rich tasting flavoured hummus of all. Theres not a lot to it - all the extras are pretty standard, but just by the quality of the hummus, it is the best. When there are so many places to choose from, and you find a place like this, its like a gem of a find.
MoreOne of the most known and old places in Jerusalem, with amazing food! Great team and atmosphere
MoreVery good Hummus in Jerusalem. There are some tables inside, but the place is small. The food is fresh and sometimes its crowded. It is a good vegetarian option
MoreVery nice place, tasty Israeli food and English menu. I recommend 🙏👍🔝
Nice place, hummus was fine, less of my taste, but is sreved well and portion was good. Their falafel is really good and unique.
MoreDisappointing. It used to be better. The owner still has a very unpleasant attitude; that has not changed. The fries and chicken were good, the falafel nothing special. The hummus, ok.
MoreIf this is what Jerusalem has to offer in terms of Hummus than pleas take me back to TLV.Service with an attitude, panic attack trance music and very mediocre Hummus. The Pita was fresh, but not tasty, the fries were industrialized. Serving Hummus with out spicy sauce on the side? Unforgivable.Ordering Hummus from a screen?!Nothing good to say about this place.
MoreIncredible food. The hummus with meat and falafel were delicious. I’ll be back every time I am in Jerusalem.
MoreA very good hummmus restaurant next to the heart of the city.
The food was absolutely delicious and they played awesome music. I had a blast!
One of the best hummus in Jerusalem. Filling and affordable. Worth every shekel.
They have delicious food for a fair price. We enjoyed it so much that we came back twice during our stay. Nice hummus, nice people, no language barrier.
MoreThe food was fast hot and tasty and the prices were reasonable
Would have love to give this place a 5 star rating. Their hummus (beef and mushroomwas excellent and went really well with the pita bread. However, their counter staff was quite impolite to us as tourists. We were unfamiliar with the menu and he should have tried to understand what we wanted. Felt as though he wanted us to quickly order, pay and leave the restaurant. Also, they might be understaffed as it took them almost forever to clear the tables. We had to help ourselves or the birds would.
MoreSeveral people recommended this place and I am very grateful to them for not keeping it a secret.
MoreAmazing warm creamy hummus that you can’t get enough off! Couldn’t stop eating it :staff is also friendly and food arrives quickly. You must go!
MoreNot sure how this place gets good ratings... It was pretty busy, tables were dirty, we were all cramped on each other when ordering at the register with people speaking over each other and the waitor squeezing in to get orders. My order was messed up 3 times because the girl just didnt listen. The hummus didnt taste good. I guess the only good thing was that my partner liked his food, which he describes as fast food. 75₪ for two hummus, one falafel order and a tea ... Seems way too expensive.
MoreFantastic food. There’s really nothing else I can say to describe it. Ordered delivery a bit late, so some items weren’t available, totally my fault. Meat hummus was FANTASTIC and a gracious helping. Chicken and fries also amazing. Falafels have a slickness my son didn’t like but he ate the chicken and I ate the falafel, problem solved. Recommend highly, making it a regular spot.
MoreGreat food and some of the best prices for the cheapest food in Jerusalem. A must visit in the city and essential for backpackers
MoreI ordered hummus in a plate. It came with extras (falafel, pita, vegetables). The service was really fast. The food is delicious. But pay attention that the protons are pretty big. I was able to eat only half of it on my own :So I recommend sharing.
MoreThe best hummus ive ever had! Been trying hummus all around the world and this place blows my mind. Not sure if it was just me but my hummus was served luke warm which is fantastic! Always had cold hummus only and the warmth really got that flavor kicked in. Do pay a visit and try.
MoreOne of the best hummus of my life, truly enjoyed it as well as the falafel
Great hummus, good falafels and bread. The beer is ok. The place is very nice and quite full. Its very close to Jaffa Gate. The soups are nice and abundant
MoreThe best hummus in Jerusalem, the best in Israel and the best anywhere really. That about says it all. Really affordable menu and huge servings - come hungry and try to avoid busy hours because it gets crowded often.
MoreBest hummus place I’ve ever had, falafel was delicious, is true that the service is not good but only the men, the woman who served us was super nice and welcoming!
MoreThe food is delicious but the service sucks . How hard is to be nice or even smile lol. The pita bread is delicious
MoreHummus with all sorts of interesting flavors, such as Beef meet Hummus, Cauliflower Hummus and others. Hummus itself was decent, and service was quick. Did not care for the flavors much.
MoreBest hummus I had in my Jordan/Israel trip! I ordered cauliflower and it tastes so good. The fried cauliflower adds more flavours into the plain hummus, it is just a great combination. (Also a vegetarian choice!)If I had more time I would’ve tried all the favours here! Heard the beef one is also good. There is just too much good food in Jerusalem.
MoreOne of the best spots to grab a classic hummus plate with mixed options of how you like it, take a risk and try something new you won’t be disappointed if you are new to this type of cuisine.
MoreBuzzing busy neighborhood hummus bar, delicious falafel and obviously hummus. Service brisk and efficient.... no plates or glasses just eat with your hands!
MoreTry the Hummus/Meat in Pita! It was delicious. Beer on tap was also good! Busy during lunch.
MoreTry the Hummus/Meat in Pita! It was delicious. Beer on tap was also good! Busy during lunch. Service was very friendly and our lunch was inexpensive.
MoreThe best hummus and falafel I ever had. Food is freshly made and its great quality in relation to its price. It can be busy during peak hours but its worth waiting.
MoreExcellent hummus! I had both the standard chickpea and the cauliflower hummus and they were both delicious!!! It is such great value as well!
MoreFabulous experience, we sat at the bar, had a lovely ful hummus and a surprisingly good sabic (the first in my life). The servers were soo friendly and nice, they even gave us some falafels on the house. Cheap and cosy, we will probably go back.
MoreVery casual, inexpensive joint. Our waitress was very busy but knew English and was friendly. Food was tasty and had reasonable portions (I was stuffed). Neat place to go thats not too touristy. Dont go if you dont like hummus!
MoreSuper delicious hummus, so far the best I had in Israel!Their pita bread is warm and soft, service was great and friendly staffs.A bit pricy but totally worth it.
MoreYummy hummus and falafel, solid portions, great price. Very cosy place with a smiley service. Enjoyed each bite!
MoreLoved the chickpea and meat hummus (hummus topped with these ingredients). Falafel was delicious, too!
MoreYou simply cannot beat the hummus here. And even better you cannot beat the price. Delicious hummus at a good price. It gets very busy here so be patient and wait for a table or place at the bar.
MoreThis place is not to be missed. The hummus is absolutely amazing and the setting is great. it’s a super busy place with a huge amount of locals all enjoying the great food. I had the hummus plate that came with bread, falafel and veggies included all for 25shekels. It’s a must while in town.
MoreA homey feel doing brisk service with lots of locals walking in and picking up hummus take home, the hummus is a little saltier than other establishments but tastes damn good ! Im only giving it a 4 out of 5 star rating because the tomatoes werent the best available in the markets that day.
MoreStopped here for quick lunch before visiting Time Elevator which is 2 min walk away. This place is quick and tasty. Very affordable prices. Super friendly staff. Recommended.
