Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park in Buenaventura Lakes
Description
Privilege
Very disappointed with this water park. We were excited because last Sunday November 14 was the reopening after almost a year closed. Guess what ? Horrible. The water was dirty in all the attractions. The park needed some repairs and they did not touch a thing. After paying for an annual pass for both water parks was very disappointed when we finally were able to enjoy the park and realized thst nothing changed . No new attractions and the old ones need some work done. Do not waste your money visiting this park.
MoreBlizzard Beach has just reopened, not sure why is was closed but definitely not to do any work around the park. Its old, dirty and dated. The staff are rude the waiting times are unnecessary Its unorganized and no one seems to work together.DO NOT WASTE YOUR HOLIDAY TIME HERE!!Go to Volcano bay (at Universalit is absolutely amazing!!We stayed an hour and leftI would NOT give this place any stars but I couldnt post with out one star.
MoreStaff are friendly, park is really rundown and a lot of safety concerns, its very dirty around the slides, the ski lift isnt safe as someone can just slide and get hurt by falling because there is no net or safety precaution under. It took 2 hours to ride a 2 minute ride, they had new procedures so it took over 2 hours for a teen ride. I really hope they fix the issues and make it safer and actually renovate some more.
MoreSo much fun!! That big snowy slide isnt what i expected but it was soo much fun p.s. keep your eyes closed! It was so much fun and i loved the tiny zipline, and the blocks next to it into water! Wonderful time and wonderful food!
MoreSuch a GREAT water park. Clean, fun and tons of stuff to do!! Highly recommend!! They supply towels too!! Update: I was so sad to read that Blizzard Beach has been closed down indefinitely. Such a great spot. It will be interesting to see what Disney comes up with!!
MoreMy family and I had a wonderful day at Blizzard Beach. We spent the entire day on the water slides, in the wave pool and enjoying the delicious treats Disney has to offer. I first went to Blizzard Beach as a child and could not wait for my children to experience it. It was not too crowded like the other parks and I appreciate that.
MoreOk 5 star for sure so much to do for all ages . Might be my favorite Disney park. But as far as battle of the water parks go. Ive been to so many and by far universal volcano bay still obliterates this place. Disney is more geared for younger children. But a few slides at blizzard beach defintly could compete with the best of the best water slides in u.s.
MoreBest day ever!Best water park experience so far.We had the time of our lives.Definitely more interesting and focused on kids 8 and up (48 inch tall for most of the slides).I waited 2 years for my boy to be tall enough so we can enjoy it together. There was no lines, no waiting time. Just perfect. We went multiple times on the slides.Park was busy but Covid safety busy - wasnt over packed and there was so much space between people. Just amazing.Staff was so friendly.Food/snacks was good too.Water was the perfect temperature.Just great experience.
MoreA good place to spend a fun vacation. No reservation is needed to enter this park and prices are affordable.
MoreGreat place to go with the family. Plenty of places to set up camp in the sun or the shade. Lots of fun rides and slides for all ages. And the food is really, really good.
MoreFirst time ever coming here and my family and I loved it!! COME EARLY to enjoy all the rides! Make sure to check weather before coming because the minute it’s raining/ thundering they close the park! It is Disney so things are pricy like food and gifts shops, so keep that in mind. We loved every about it though no complaints here will be back again!!!
MoreAs always Disney Cast members make the experience that much more enjoyable. However, the cast members we met at Blizzard Beach were above and beyond! They are the heart and soul of this water park and made our day so special! Thank you to Disneys hard working cast members!
MoreAfter a long awaited return, we are back to Disney annual passes. Yay! Blizzard Beach is one of the best waterparks in the USA. Great for families with plenty to do for everyone. The staff still seems happy, helpful and cheerful. Highly recommended.
MoreGreat Waterpark everyone was so friendly. Nice and clean . And the water rides was awesome. Will be back again
MoreAll the kids had a fabulous time. Something for all ages and heights. The manager was super accommodating for our humongous group too. Loved everything.
MoreBlizzard Beach was one of our favorite parks. My kids had a blast. Their favorite thing to do here was the wave pool. I could not get them out of it. Lol . Also we loved the blizzard winter theme and the family water slide. I definitely recommend if you visit Disney World.
MoreThere are good things and bad just like everywhere else. Some of the water slides are fun. Some are fun for all. The food is absolutely horrible and unbelievably expensive for the trash they pass off as food. I have overheard 2 employees complaining about their job and patrons. One slide attendant was rather nice and accommodating to our family while another, on the same slide but a different day,, was particularly rude to my wife as she tried to explain she wanted to wait at the bottom of a slide for our 2yo daughter. The woman was nasty and completely dismissive to my wife and her concerns. Its a decent enough way to beat the heat but expensive as anything else here. I dont know if we will return after the unpleasant experience weve had.
MoreI hadnt been to this waterpark since I was a child. Numerous of the attractions were the same, and not in a rundown way. It was a nostalgic way and everything was kept up well. I felt the Disney magic just being at Blizzard Beach. My children immensely enjoyed the theming of this park, the music, the sand, and all the attractions. They especially enjoyed "The Sand pail" snack. Thank you Disney for an A+ park experience.
MoreI love love love this place!! I can not wait to go back. I just wish that this establishment would encourage an covid testing truck just to enforce more safety but overall we had an amazing experience. I believe there are 12 rides. We were able to enjoy 8 of them before I needed a nap. The lines move fast so dont worry about any wait. This place accommodates everyones adrenaline. I took a chance which was my favorite the summit plummet water fall and for lunch the lottawatta cafe, which caters to vegans and vegetarian diets. This is a gotta go!!
MoreThis park was absolutely amazing! There is lots of shade to put your stuff, some super fun slides, and the best lazy river! It is easy to get around in and their food is even yummy! This was the perfect way to get out of the other theme parks and relax!
MoreWe were 2 hours into the fun. When mother nature did her little rain thing. Luckily they gave us a weather pass. So we went the very next day. And let me tell you we had a blast!! Tots recommend this for all families!!
MoreIt was our first time here and we absolutely loved it! We stayed at the water park most of the day. A storm arrived around 5pm and everyone had to pack up and leave. It was still a lot of fun and will definitely go again.
MoreSmall cute park. Lots of stairs to climb like any other water park 😂. Get there before park opens to get a nice shaded area to sit. It fills pretty quick.
MoreI took.a 5 year old and 2 teenagers to this park. A great time by all. Especially for the price, (we had a passholder discount), it was a great day. The staff was super friendly Not too crowded either. It was open 11- 6 , and we were able to go on everything. A more laid back water park. Definitely looking at going back.
MoreOur 1st trip in the whole year after covid. We had such an amazing time. Not crowded at all, no big lines....the place is so well maintained and streamlined.Love the kids water area, wpecially tye rope coursr and zipline on water. The place was absolutely clean and the well stafed. The lifeguards were every corner. The purple, gred and green rides were all amazing. For younger kids the kids tikies area and lazyriver along witg wave pool is great. For middle scho and up( if any lower school adventerous kids like we havewill surely enjoy the purple slides a lot.The food quality and service was quite good too.Make sure to book the spot and try and reaxh by 10.30am at the park to avoid standing in lines later.
MoreThis water park is absolutely amazing. My kids loved it and we will definitely be returning!
MoreWent on a Thursday and the park was nice and empty. Got to ride all the rides and relax by the wave pool. The only thing is that the lazy river had a lot of leaves and i would say its one of the slower lazy rivers compared to the other water parks iv been to. Over all had a great time.
MoreSo this water park was the dark horse and blew us by surprise. Having left ski town Utah... we loved the cute theming of snow admist the Warmth in Florida. My kids LOVED ski patrol land and I liked all the life guards, and helpers there. My children ages 5,8,10 enjoyed climbing on the ice, small pool and slides there. We went on a cooler day so had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed all the seating, wave pool, and Toboggan racers were awesome. . . If you are debating on coming or not DO IT... it was a blast. Free life jackets for the littles, lockers if you wanted - we took nothing valuable and felt find leaving our stuff under a lounger. My son/I loved the miny donuts, but were disappointed on the pretzils. Everyone was very friendly and wed certainly go again. Do yourself a favor and dont look down Summit Plummit...Just sit and go, I did that mistake and almost didnt do it, but it was such a fun smooth ride for me Id do it next time again... Well done - Well be back - your Utah friends
More1st time to attend this park. We chose this water park over several others. We a family of 10 enjoyed this small but big enough park to meet all of our family members needs from thrill slides to kiddie slides, pools. We loved the sandy beaches!! Definitely worth the trip.
MoreSuch a great place! Weve been coming here for many years, this has some great water slides and a really nice lazy river. The chairlift ride to the top is really neat and makes for a nice way to get to the top when youve already walked to much. You can find yourself some frozen beverages and listen to reggae music by the wave pool. Its a blast for everybody.
MoreFirst time here and it was really fun! The photo ops are super cute, and the food is pretty good too. The wait time for rides wasn’t too bad! I would love to visit again. Anything Mickey & Disney related is well worth the price and experience. Customer service and family friendliness is always top of the line.
MoreThis was a smashing hit! The park wasn’t too busy and there were almost no lines for the rides. The wave pool was very fun and there were plenty of chairs to choose from. The zip line for those under 60” was amazing. There were lots of rides for the kids to choose from! I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our time at this park. The chairlift was a very cute addition and a fun ride for the kids.
MoreHad a great time at the Winter Summerland mini golf course! This course may be a little challenging for young children, but they will have fun regardless. The scenery and decoration certainly drive the Christmas vibe home.
MoreThis was my favourite waterpark. It has some of the best slides and rides all wrapped up in a fun snowy setting. The chair lift is just like you get on the slopes and the kids adventure area is really good for 4-8 year olds. The summit plumit is emence and is something for the thrill seeker. Its massive and the views from the top are amazing.
MoreReally enjoyed it there was s small wait but nothing major. Loved the Christmas music playing and the price was normal nit outrageous. They even have canned beer for the parents.
MoreFun, fun and FUN.Blizzard Beach is absolutely off the charts with water rides , A lazy river that goes around the whole park and a neverending wave pool. Plenty of concessions stands for eats, drinks and desserts. Gift shops and a awesome miniature golf course. And the best part of Blizzard beach is that its Christmas all year round with holiday music playing throughout the park. No worries about parking because theres plenty for everyone and conveniently located handicap parking spaces and access. This place is at the top of my list for FUN.Blizzard beach also offers annual passes that meet any budget .
MoreThis park is awesome. Its like if the Matterhorn had a small village at its base.. super cute and tons of things to do. The wave pool isnt as brutal as typhoon lagoon, so its a nice difference.Food is awesome, lots of choices for both food and beverage.Park is clean and the people are nice. Tons of chairs and places to get shade. We have summer passes so we will be back many, many times.
MoreNot a big water park person but came to see what it was like and have a walk around and have been very impressed. Awesome chair lift ride, worth it for views of the park from on high, good choice of food. Even if you dont want to get wet its still worth being here for a couple of hours to sit and listen to waves hitting the shore and enjoying the spectacular view
MoreVery nice place, best water park that I visited so far... They have quite few things for kids with is great! Planty of places with shade were you can hide from Florida burning sun 😬🔥☀️
MoreWe were Rained out but was cool what we did get to do. Down fall is they close at 5. Lifeguards are very unturned with people and quick to save. Witness a guard saving a young person. Made it look effortless. Sights are cool and slides are fast. Something for the whole family.
MoreFantastic waterpark, think I prefer this over Typhoon lagoon but they’re both amazing. The wavepool isn’t as good here but you can got on this one with water rings that are provided. There are plenty of slides ranging from little ones for kids to the huge and fast summit plummet which is excellent. There is a group ring slide which is great fun for families and has no height restriction. You can get to 3 of the slides at the top by a ski lift which is kind of a ride in itself! Finally there is a lazy river and a really good play area for teens and under including a zip wire. It’s nice that they provide life jackets for kids but I don’t like that you have to pay for lockers but this is the same everywhere and they’re cheaper than universals Volcano Bay.I’d recommend getting there early (it opens before the actual opening time), grabbing your locker before the queues then dumping your stuff when the rope drops. Go around in a circle and do all the slides before going in the pool. We did one of everything within an hour and a half before much longer queues.
MoreA great day out for all ages! The park is very well kept, everything was very clean. The staff I interacted with were very friendly and polite. There are lots of rides and attractions for everyone to enjoy. The rides were enjoyable or scary, the ski lifts to the two tallest rides were a nice touch. There were plenty of beds and chairs but I doubt this would be the case of you were visiting during peak holiday season. I liked the fact that there are many areas that are shaded.
MoreNice themed course. You can choose from either Summerland or Winterland. If youre a Floridian and want a little winter without the cold it a fun place to play. Plenty of photo ops. A nice variety of obstacles. Some, but not all of the holes slope to help the ball go in.So theres a little extra help there.
MoreAwesome water park with a ski resort theme. Better water slides here than at Typhoon Lagoon but the wave pool isnt much of anything.Park story. According to Disney "legend," a freak snowstorm in the area led to the development of Floridas first ski resort. ... The ski resort operators suddenly saw the parks potential, and the mountain of snow becameBlizzard Beach, "the most slushy, slippery, exhilarating water park anywhere!"
MoreWe had an amazing time at the park today. This was our first time here and we were very happy with the water park. It was not over crowded. The lines were not long. There were more options as far as food and snacks then there were at typhoon Lagoon. This is my choice for water park with out the kids, the ratio of kids to adults was good. But I feel there are more slide options for the kids at typhoon Lagoon although they do have a little area for smaller kids here. Amazing views from all slides and the ski lift
MoreDisneys Blizzard Beach was fantastic. We visited Aug 30, 2018 and had a great time with a group of 11. Disney knows how to stay organized from locker rentals to controlling the masses with lines. Locker rentals are $10 for a small that fits a backpack and a few items and $15 for a larger locker. It is $11 for a cocktail at the park, and food is generally expensive....$52 for 3 people. You can bring in your own food and beverage. It was overall a great day, and reccomend to anyone visiting Orlando.
MoreBurr! This place us cool!! Blizzard beach is an awesome water Park even if its not as nice as that Typhoon Lagoon. Blizzard beach seems to be targeted more for teenagers and older kids although there is also quite a lot to do for the young ones. The layout is incredible and there is lots to do for anyone who wants to spend an entire day there.
MoreWonderful place.. Family friendly...forgot my daughters swim vest but no worries they have them for free at multiple locations. Towel rental $2.00. Definitely will be back!!!!! Oh one more thing I think they have a device that allow disabled people to get in the pool. I forgot to ask about it before I left but if it is, I think that is amazing!!! I left a pic of it below.
MoreWe love idea Summer Winter resort. We love 🌊 wave pool. I like park plan it’s feels well organized and didn’t get tired to walk from slide to slide. Nice souvenir mugs with daily soda refills is nice for sure.
MoreThis is the newest of the two water parks at Disney World in Orlando Florida. Many of the rides you dont have to carry up your own rafts. Prices for eating and for merchandise are moderately high but the food is good. They do let you bring in coolers of your own food just tell them its for religious or allergy purposes.
