Dishoom in Singa

Best restaurant to have authentic Indian food. From Kheema pav to Biriyani everything was really Savory and spicy. Had to wait for one hour in a queue outside and half an hour inside in the lobby. Worth waiting for. Also the food costs are not very high. Definitely Affordable. The staff were friendly and suggested us to try the Kheema paav and it really turned it to be super yummy. Dishoom has got branches in several places.

The experience of having dinner at a very very busy indian restaurant at London was breathtaking. It took an hour to get seated. The drink’s alcoholic and teetotaler menu were quite interesting.The tables were pretty jammed together to make room for the crowd. Though I have had the same types of food before, the taste was beyond the ordinary. Loved the food!!Worth the time and money spent. A must try if one is visiting London.

Lovely place for Indian full English breakfast..Big Bombay. They added their own herbs to baked bean and scramble eggs and dress up with coriander. A bit different than the other restaurant. Very asian foods style of breakfast. We told the waiter the bacon is a bit dry and overcooked. They took away one of the breakfast cost as a compensation.Service is good and fast although they have many customers inside the restaurant..Good ambience in the restaurant. The space is big and I like the modern interior design of the restaurant. it is easy to get a table even through you dont booked online.

Food and atmosphere were great. Portions of some dishes were a little on the small side (I got through two mains on one visit, no problem), but others are good (the lamb shank + sheeps brain was gorgeous and hearty). Flavours are excellent.

Came with my friends for dinner and we had a great time with delicious food. We ordered Pau Badjhi, Lamb samosas, chicken curry and a chocolate pudding dessert. I loved the flavors, just dont recommend the chocolate pudding, was a bit heavy and texture could be more smooth and didnt have anything with Indian taste. Samosas could be bigger.

Phenomenal service as usual. Came by for breakfast and has the Keema pav, the naan stuffed with sausage and bacon and a double bacon naan. Coupled with the bottomless chai made for a very wholesome breakfast.All mouth-wateringly wonderful and enough to keep us going until dinner.

Not to miss.We usually go for breakfast on the way home as it’s so close to Kings Cross station. I’ve had everything from the wrestler’s breakfast to the porridge and it’s *chefs kiss* 🤌🏻The house chai is lovely and bottomless too!Atmosphere is really nice and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Allergy aware, didn’t have any problem helping me.

Went here for a late lunch as a group of 13 without a booking and got in straight away. Nice decor and more importantly good food. We were bought the cook book and my husband has made the chai and the black lentils so had to try those. Have to say that the cookbook and the husband were very good as I couldn’t tell the difference! Recommend buying it.

First time having Indian food at a restaurant in London (usually making it at homeand pleasantly surprised by the tasty vegan menu full of options. Chole puri was a generous serving on the spicy side and very hearty. Puri’s were light and crispy and not oily which was appreciated. Okra fries were nicely seasoned and made thinly so it was a good light starter. Kachumber salad was oddly a bit dry but plain and simple.For a busy location we were quickly seated at lunch time and served with care and kindness by Man.

Long wait, super busy, reservation is only for 6+ people. When you try the food, you will know why.Amazing Indian food with authentic Indian spices and flavors. Everything on the menu is a Must-Have.

I have heard and read the raving reviews of this place. I managed to book a table for brunch and went with my kids and met a friend there. The food overall was great, service was attentive. We had what you see in the photo plus some breakfast naans as starters. I just felt like it was a bit too colonial vs. truly Indian. It was if we got what British people probably would have been served while in India to satisfy their craving for a little taste of home, but with a local Indian twist. Its 4 stars for now. I am open to being wowed in the future... Maybe the dinner will sway me.

Superb. I’ve been lucky to try many Indian places (in and out of the UK— but this one tops them all, by a mile. The food was outstanding: the black lentils are creamy and rich in flavour, it’s a pleasure to gauge on them. The kebab had the softest meat I’ve ever had, and was perfectly well balanced — a slight note of flavours from the grill with onions and mint topping off the sensations on your taste buds. The naan was equally impressive, and that chai .. try it yourself, it’s a must have to experience. Service was exceptional, some of the best experiences ever seen — you’ll be greeted with a smile, and you leave with one too.

Delicious, but ludicrously expensive. Two breakfasts and two drinks (albeit one was a cocktailwere £45.00.A gorgeous space and really friendly staff with a decent vegan selection for breakfast.I loved the atmosphere and understand how the incense added to it, though it was a little strong for 9am. Id love to take my mum here, but I worry the incense would trigger an asthma attack.

This is an incredible experience!The place was packed on a Tuesday evening in a mid September rainy day!The food is really authentic, spicy ... just what is needed! Not too much. But just right.Their desert are not that sweet and very flavorful !

Wow. Truly one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever eaten in, and a wonderful repurpose of old train facilities. But the breakfast was just as good. The bacon naan is worth all the hype and then some. You can taste how fresh the bread is. And the chai is so special- I had 3 plus cups without thinking.

Honestly, Absolutely delicious food. I got, pepper lamb curry with chicken berry britannia and a chilli broccoli salad, and it was so delicious. I found it on deliveroo and when it arrived it was still hot. This is only the 2nd time Ive had Indian food and I have to say that I really enjoyed it, and I will definitely be buying it more often. Im stuffed. I would also definitely recommend that people try Dishroom they obviously take care and pride in their food. Fantastic.

Had an enjoyable lunch at Dishoom. The maitre d came over once we sat down and went through the whole menu giving his feedback on the dishes and if they weretoo spicy. This is something I have not experienced before but was a very personal and welcomed touch.We decided on around 6 dishes to share between 4 of us. Food was very good and the dishes had their own unique tastes. Prices are on the high side. Side dishes start at £4 and mains from £12. Expect to pay £20-£30 eachwithout drinks.

My favourite Dishoom in London so far. 5 star service as always. I still have to try Shoreditch. The restaurant is in 4 levels and has an authentic ambiance. We ordered our favourite Vegan Bombay Breakfast! We tried Bloody Mary & Espresso Martini for the first time. Definitely had a kick!

Second time here and just as good as the first. The staff are so friendly and overall a good experience. The pina colada they do (colombo colada or something on those linesis probably one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while. Id recommend getting the chicken ruby curry, house black daal and the chicken/paneer wraps.

Amazingly brilliant, lovely smiling staff, great food options, lovely ambiance, awesome location.. loved everything about this place. The unlimited Chai is just wonderful.. theyve fantastic menu options, both for breakfast and lunch. Tasted both in last 3 days and enjoyed both visits.

Our second experience in another Dishoom restaurant, and we were looking forward to it as we went directly after taking the Eurostar from Paris, and it did not disappoint ! Staff was very nice, food and beverages good like the other location we tried, and the atmosphere is great.Do not hesitate to come!

Dishoom is always a ( Perfection , it’s next to no competitors , a class of its own , a level of quality and service that can not be easily defeated, I love this place and no matter how many other high end Indian restaurants I tried , I always end up coming back to Dishoom.I love the charity concept meal for a meal , with every meal you buy you feed a poor person in India , that is a novel .Highly recommended.

Loved the ambience and the deliberate aesthetics chosen. The meals and drinks we had were great and of course the services were equally great.I wont be in a hurry to forget about Dishoom at Kings Cross as its the first place my sister whom Id just met in person for the very first time had a meal. Our friends also liked the cuisine and our time there was memorable. You should be here!

An extremely good breakfast, and really, really fantastic service. They were working on short staff, got me seated sooner than they said they could and really worked their tails off to make sure everything went well. Good service. Very good food too, and excellent value.

We shamelessly visited this place for breakfast twice in a row because we were so delighted with the setting of the place and the delicious hearty breakfast. By the way, the house cha is to die for. It is so enjoyable to sip the spicy tea on a cold morning. And the best part is that it is refillable!

We were first seated in the downstairs area. When we found it a bit noisy and asked if we could change seats, the staff were really accommodating and moved us upstairs. The food was great as usual.

Great lunch experience. Highly recommended to book in advance (we did), else be prepared for a long wait even for weekday lunch.Very friendly staff, will offer to explain the menu and recommend dishes... Although being from Mumbai we didnt need them to. Great ambience resembling the formerly ubiquitous Irani restaurants of Mumbai, which are sadly a dying breed in their hometown.We ordered the mutton pepper fry, roomali rotis and berry biryani. All excellent.

Amazing food and service!I had heard many amazing things about Dishoom and it was all true!. We had The okra fries, sweet potato chaat, roomali paneer roll, vada pau, chocolate pudding with cinnamon ice cream and sweet chai. Im not a vegetarian but wow, I was blown away by the food and exceptional service by our Spanish waiter at the Kings cross Dishoom. He was so attentive and lovely, he knew the menu inside out and recommended what we couldnt have due to our nut allergies. The attention to detail was outstanding. Food was delicious and not at all overpriced. Will definitely come again!

Great experience. We ordered the Bhel, the pineapple tikka, the house chaat, the vada pau, naan and roti. The best ones were the pineapple tikka and the house chaat. The service is good and after youve ordered it doesnt really take long to get served. However the waiting time is ridiculously long. We had to wait for 1.5 hours. Its a nice experience to have once in a while - but due to the long wait, it may be a while until we visit again.

The vibe is just great. I was there by myself and the person on the bar was amazing company. I had Bombay colada drink which was fantastic, lamb samosas which were good and pao bhaji which was average. Overall 10/10 experience, will recommend!

Had wonderful evening with friends here. The place was packed as it was a Friday evening but somehow the atmosphere felt relaxed. Make sure you book in advance to avoid the long queue.The food and service cannot be faulted. They have such a great selection of the finest Bombay-style food. However, the Chicken Ruby, Chilli Chicken and Samosas with the green dipping chutney were my personal favourites.The dessert menu has a bit of everything ranging from kheer to chocolate chai to chilli ice cream! Unfortunately they werent able to serve the chocolate chai on this particular occasion, but the manager delightfully offered us complimentary chai.The staff definitely go above and beyond to provide a warm service and ensure everyone has a good time. Will definitely be returning soon.

Wow! Food is definitely superb as they say, but forget being spontaneous with a walk in, table has to be reserved not less than a week in advance otherwise you wont find any available.It is worth the wait anyway!Ask the staff for advice if you dont know what to order, I would definitely recommend to try their famous lamb.It is a bit expensive but I highly recommend it!

Not worth the hype. Nice food, but variable service. 4 star maximum.Went on Saturday evening with no reservation, queued for about 40 mins - queueing much more bearable on Kings x without cars/traffic.Major disappointment was The Permit Room bar where we were taken while we waited for our table. It felt crowded, chaotic and service there was terrible. In 30 mins there, we waited ages to order a drink, and didn’t even get it before our table was ready. Staff didn’t seem bothered about serving customers there.At our table, service improved dramatically with an incredible waitress (Peppa?and manager who sorted things out quickly and provided menu recommendations.We ordered: Okra fries - delicious (and I’m not a big okra fan); Chaat - excellent; Chilli chicken - very tender. Black Daal - good, but very buttery/rich; Chicken Biryani - a bit more bland, but fine.For dessert we tried the Kala Khartoum Gol, which is so different to anything I’ve had before - sweet and salty. Great to see some thought go into the dessert offerings.Lighting is a bit dark, music was a good level - not too loud like many places.Overall: simplifying a lot, it feels a bit like an Indian wagamamas, with more sophistication to the drinks, location and decor. The experience needs improvement though.

Such an amazing evening!! Food insanely delicious, drinks incredible…everything was so good we wanted to eat all over again once we had finished….service from our Portuguese server was friendly and fun - he was passionate about his favourites on the menu, engaging! Great atmosphere..loved the incense and fusion of Indian/colonial feel!

The food was amazing as always, one of the best indian places in London!Huge selection of veggie/chicken/lamb/prawn dishes, with sauces or grilled.The only thing to take into account is that the lunch kitchen opens at 12:00 so if you come earlier you will have to wait.They also have a craft beer which was really good, made for them (Dishoom Craft IPA), although it’s not very bitter like a regular IPA.

Amazing place with truly delicious and flavorful dishes. The murgh malai, black daal, mutton pepper fry are especially good, and I discovered the paper-thin, perfect for hand-picking roomali roti.Service is charming and there is a downstairs "waiting bar" while your table gets ready - too bad that our table was ready too soon to enjoy our cocktails (and this happened twice, destiny is against us...)

What a great place. Impeccable service, very friendly and welcoming environment. Arrived here for breakfast and it was all very homely tasting, great warm flavors, very well made. If the food and service wasn’t enough, the venue is fantastic. This is how I’d like to start my day every day.The house chai was suggested to me and it was perfect in every single way.

Dishoom never disappoints. This is the 4th one I’ve been to and it’s still the best Indian food I’ve had in the UK. Its appreciated how regardless of their popularity, the service remains very friendly, customer centric and rapid as well.The food is incredible. The must have is the Dahl, but my personal favourite is the chicken ruby curry. Super fragrant but creamy at the same time. Also highly recommend getting a biryani and the lamb chops. But honestly nothing I’ve had here has ever disappointed, it’s all great

Weve been a few times and always attentive and friendly staff, food is lovely and recommend the Chicken Ruby. Our 9 year old enjoyed exploring the flavours and our 5 year old found some food to enjoy too. Id always recommend booking as we went for 2 and there was already a 90 minute wait. book to avoid disappointment

Great place for lunch at the Kings cross branch. We had not booked and waited 15 minutes to be seated at the bar. Kyle looked after us and was knowledgeable about the dishes and was very polite and attentive. He also gave us a tour of the restaurant and provided a history of the place. The food was excellent and presented well. Would recommend a visit. Thanks again to Kyle a real asset to Dishoom..

Believe the hype! Went to Dishoom with a group of 7 having been unable to unfortunately book a table. However, staff were accommodating and we were happy to wait, which took much less time than expected. Definitely recommend going in the early afternoon if you don’t have a booking.The food was exceptional, we tried to sample as many dishes as possible and the standouts were easily the House Black Dahl and the Chicken Biryani. Although we weren’t let down by a single dish. Prices are reasonable and the staff were excellent and very attentive.The restaurant itself is presented beautifully with lots of fascinating sights and smells. Dishoom is certainly not one to miss!

Ive been here many times for food and always loved it.This time I had breakfast and it was just FAB!Food is so tasty, cooked perfectly and the staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive. Really recommend the Bloody Mary!This is fast becoming my favourite London restaurant.

A great place for brunch. Nice spacious restaurant with excellent table service. Arranged over two floors. The food is delicious, nice naan breads, spicy chicken dishes to name but a few. Quite an unusual combo of sausage in naan bread, but it was absolutely delicious. The portion size is generous. The only criticism I have for this restaurant is that the lighting is very dark inside. Other than that it is definitely worth a visit and you may have to book ahead as it does get very busy.

Went there without a booking and the waiting times weren’t bad. We got a table pretty quickly considering the place was packed.The service was nice. Our order got a bit mixed up but the staff sorted it, apologised and gave us that dish for free.The food is really good and a great representation of restaurants in Mumbai. Surprisingly not very expensive.

Always go for the mutton pepper fry. It’s such a rich tender delicious curry. It’s soo different to anything Iv ever tasted.Dishoom never fails to impress, would highly recommend for dining alone or with friends. The kings cross branch is particularly nice, but the aesthetic across the branches are all quite cool.

From the moment we walked in, we received excellent customer service from the bar staff downstairs, while waiting for a table. We enjoyed great cocktails/mocktails, before we enjoyed a delicious meal. The food was fresh and very tasty, great flavours and a wide choice of dishes on the menu.The waiters were friendly and kind. Overall a great dining experience. Will be back!

One of the best restaurants that serve Indian food in London. They have several branches in London. The prices were appropriate, the location was excellent, and the service was good. The restaurant should be booked in advance., highly recommended
