Nice little spot to do snorkeling and freediving. The bay is protected from the ocean current and perfectly safe for a competent swimmer to enjoy the marine life under the surface.

Tarpons are grown and they are so calm and friendly. Lovely beach nice food restaurants.

Very local Very cultural Very Jamaican.

We stopped here in the way to Ocho Rios from Portland. It was a Sunday and we were hungry. A lot of places are closed or open late in Sundays in Jamaica. It was a great decision.This place felt like a tight family kept secret. The locals all knew each other. However, they were friendly and receptive of us visitors.Donna-Lee or Badness made us breakfast at her restaurant. She got the fish from the sea (literally couple feet away from the restaurant), scaled it, cleaned it, and cooked it on the spot. The food was authentic and delicious. The price worked out to be way less than (fractionsthe US price would have been. She was friendly, kind, and entertaining. I had steamed fish (parrotwith Festival and all the trimmings (yam, potato,carrots, pumpkin, etc.)Only issue, flies were around the place. I know thats not her issue because it Fishermans Beach so they scale fish and flies swarm.

A feel of Helshire... Fjords place is awesome. If you visit here, you should ask for Badness. She is awesome!!! Food was 🔥!

What a wonderful place. You can see the sea uptoclose, and can even dip your feet into the sea. Food wise, what more can I say. The crab and pasta, coconut juice, cocktails 🍸 fish tea plus more was wonderfull.

Nice to share the unfiltered ambiance of the Jamaican experience. Can be a bit crowded. Best to park on the road for easy egress.

Beach was lovely....seems to be a hot spot, there is a little area with 🎱 tables, nice cook shops available.....clean bathroom & wash off areas with running pipe water

They have great seafood the curry shrimp and steam fish plus lobster is to die for the fry green plantains is petite its a must visit

There is a free beach if you dont want to pay for the private one. Just ask a local for directions. Beach is clean and water is pretty for not being in a popular tourist spotm

Great food cool place to be on the beach

Went to Ms Donnas Caribbean Style Seafood Bar and Grill at the Discovery Bay beach and the food tasted great. She did it to our delight especially because we had a few persons who suffer from blood pressure issues. We had escoveitched, steamed and roasted fishes. My 3yr old enjoyed her meal so much. We were a bit worried that she wouldnt eat but that problem was solved at Ms Donnas. The beach area was fun and we enjoyed the water. We will definitely visit again.

The best free beach in Jamaica. Well thats my opinion anyway. Its in a calm bay ideal for swimming and with several authentic beach bars the vibes is well level. Great for children and families...

Great improvement in infrastructure. The mango daiquiri is great. Pool is a disappointment as the entire thing is 5 so not conducive for children

This place has the best fish in minutes. Its amazing how they make the food right in front ur eyes and it tastes like it was seasoned from days ago. I really love this place...... especially becuz while you wait. You can explore the beach!!

Best place to view a sunset this part of the northern coast. Calm sea water for swimming. Local flavor for beer or drinks plus favorite Jamaican dishes.

Very rustic environment. Friendly people but service is substandard.

This is the spot for me and the family. We go by Stumpys for the best fish, lobster, shrimp and conch all done to your desire or Stumpy will surprise you. Fortlands Road is the place to relax swim and eat. Love it.

I lived near here and visited several times a week. Get breakfast achee and salt fish under the tree at the entrance. Many little bar/shops to grab a bite, have a drink and just watch the sea or swim in the beautiful water.

The beach is clean and there is an irie atmosphere. There is seafood to be purchased to take home. There is an array of seafood for sampling and quality CookShop from which breakfast lunch and dinner can be purchase then eaten while watching the sea ebb and flow. It is "the spot "to enjoy the Caribbean blue and collect unique sea shell and stones.

Rustic beach front restaurant serving local beverages to include Red Stripe, the Real Jamaican Beer, Whole fish some to your choice. Enjoy the beautiful sunset as the sun glears on the water, extremely spectacular.
