Disco Ayala - Night Club in Remedios, Cuba
What an experience..Never seen a disco in such a beautiful placeMust to go at least one night
I didnt like the music they played and the floor was very slippery because of the water on the walls of the cave.
I mean, its a club in a CAVE, do you need more? Good music (both Cuban and international), nice crowd, and it is full even on a Monday night.
An outworldish place, Ive never seen any disco that ist comparable to Ayala in my Life. A must visit
Unique place, but the atmosphere wasnt very friendly. Bouncers outside werent very nice and the bartenders were very slow (even though the drinks served were very lacking. Whats the point of displaying many different liquor bottles if 80% of them are empty?!)
Don’t miss: on the way to the club local people will offer you drinks and shots in their improvised and temporal bar they opened in the entrance of their house. The club itself is located inside a natural cave. We got there around 23.00 and the entrance fee was 5 CUC per person. And you get the first drink for free. The are two bars, one is located next to the dance floor and is a bit of crowded and there is another one on the lowest floor on the way to the dance floor. Most of the people that get here are tourists, but you can find here some locals as well. When we went down the stairs, we looked around and were amazed (and actually a bit sadby the work human have done to transform this natural cave into a disco club. The humidity is very high in this place, so take that in mind before you go!
COME HERE. You did not visit Trinidad if you didnt come to the cave. Cool place. Underground cave with nice crowd and great music. Prices were good for such a popular place. However, keep in mind that it is a cave, and they have not installed any ventilation or AC systems. People smoke, and the smoke stays there, circulating around. Definitely check out this place, but get ready to sweat!
The best night club in Cuba.
A dance club hidden in a cave, somewhat of a gem and an experience all its own.The music was Reggaeton, with a bit of techno mixed in at times. A drink came with the cover charge and having a water in hang to deal with the humidity is a fine idea. The only negatives to watch for:Even on a weeknight, its packed.Theres no ban on smoking.
Its original and wonderful placeYou pay 5 cüc which includes 1 drinksÖpen 11 pm till 3 am
Ok even if you are older you have to experience this! Just do it! From the old historic center you can walk here and the walk here is an experience you will never forget. Every 5 house is transformed into a temporary bar and they offer you drinks all the way up the hill to the dance club in a cave "Disco Ayala". I felt like I was in the movie Pinoccio where he has to try to resist temptation all the way where he is going. Every 2 minutes someone is offering you a drink. The road to the Disco should be called TEMPTATION ROAD. Anyways... just do it..... You will never forget.
Its highly recommended if youre in Trinidad. it has different style of music playing at different hours. So if f you want to get the real sense of Latinos go early.
I hit up “La Cueva” with other friends a few weekends ago. The steep walk straight up from the Plaza Mayor is badly lit and treacherous with pebbles and dirt along the way. Be careful if you’re wearing high heels! Entrepreneurs have set up drink stands along the way and you’re free to enter the disco with said drinks (impossible to do so in the US or Europe!so buy some strong 1 CUC canchánaras or daiquiris. I advise getting there early: we arrived at 10:30pm and there was only a small queue but when we left a little over an hour later the queue was CRAZY long. It’s 5 CUC pp entry and that included a drink. A real fun mix of Reggaeton, salsa, samba and Western pop music and top 40 hits (Bruno Mars etc). It gets very crowded inside and AC seems to be lacking so keep that in mind. There’s also smoking (yuckallowed inside but somehow with how cavernous the cave is you don’t notice it much (but may get worse later in the night).
Such a cool place! Much larger than youd expect for a cave.
A nice cave, but is not for disco !!!
This place is awesome. Only a couple of CUP cover. Great music and a fun short show around midnight.
This place was just so cool!! :D we all loved it!Yes - its touristy, no local would pay 5 cuc entry to go to a club, but the first drink is included, so for tourists its really okay. They play a nice mix of Cuban reggaeton and western oriented music, people are fun, and the place itself has this special atmosphere due to the fact that its a cave :DWould definitely go again!
Jajajajajaja, we went the wrong way to go to thia place and we thought we got lost in a scary movie. Follow the directions locals give u to go here. This place was dope and different than anywhere I ever been.
Really great fun for tourists and Cubans alike.
Very unique experience. Don’t miss out on this one.
worth checking out =)
This is an experience. The cave club offers a 90s style experience with projectors playing Latino music videos and music blasting. The walk up there can be daunting but still seems safe. Well worth a visit even if its to see the interesting characters that have also walked that hill in search of a good time.
CAVE RAVE! This place was a lot of fun. Its kind of a trek to get out here, and the line was loooong. Maybe coming during off-season would be a little better in that regard. But we enjoyed a beer and some cuban cigs while waiting, as there are street vendors present to keep you buzzed. That being said, once you get inside, its kind of magical. The walls of the cave are lit by colorful flood lamps. Theres a dance floor, a seating area, a partially exposed outdoor area. Lots of tiny nooks and crannies, as the overall space of the club is actually quite small. Drinks were pricey, but its a club so that was no surprise. Music is latino/reggaeton and top 40 mix, with some hip hop sprinkled in.My only cautionary tale is that the floors are kind of slippery. My friend slipped and hurt his tailbone, which was unfortunate since we were horseback riding the next day. We had a lot of fun here, its worth the hike!
It is a long walk up a rocky hill to get here, but the views are cool, and what better venue than an underground actual cave for a night out. There is a food stall opposite the club as well so a burger after your night out if needed.
It is a spectacular place - a real big cave turned into a modern club. The ambiance is really woww!! (For people who like caves, or at least nature). There is very long lane, we waited there 30min. The music inside is not very good but if you are in a party mood it will work ;-a lot of regeaton and charts like Im a Barbie girl...there sre cubans and tourists mixed. The experience is worth it!
Best club you will ever step into!! I am absolutely speechless. Unreal. A full out giant underground cave, transformed in a pumping discoteca. Was there on a tuesday night and it was still insane. If you are in Trinidad, you HAVE TO go and check it out. Absolute must. I will remember this forever.
BEST CLUB EVER. The nightclub is located in a HUGE cave, and if the place was not amazing enough on itself the great music does the rest: perfect balance between latin music combined with electro.
Loved it here! Its a nightclub in a cave, a HUGE cave. Great vibe, with a mix of Cuban and tourist music. One of the most unique party venues!
Unique nightlife experience not only because of the club but of the whole concept.
Cave clubbing! A truly unique experience!
This place is very much worth visiting! Enjoy the music and get to know the locals!
Really good place to party with local people.
A club in a cave, what’s there more to say. It’s definitely a different experience. The entry is 5 cuc but it includes a free cocktail. Definitely worth the visit!
Disco inside a natural cave. It is not usual. Disco is good, but there is not enough space to sit and talk.
Disco inside a natural cave. Its worth to visit to see it since its a quite uncommon to be dancing inside a cave. When we went there was a 30 minutes long line and the entrance costed 5 CUC including a drink inside.
Good music and nice croud. Be aware that it is not a big space so might get over packed on weekends or high season. Popular with the locaks on weekends
Terrible service and staff, not worth for the experience.
Cool night club inside a real cave
Great place, a club in a cove.
When we arrived at 11pm, we waited in the line for an hour to get in.. thats not a problem at all... but in the cave, it was too crowded and no air to breathe. When i wanted to complain to somebody about it, at the door, they were rude and so unproffesional. Like they dont care at all about turists. I simply hated the place and i thought it would be a nice experience.
Amazing underground disco. Really good music
The Club is in a cave.I would recomand arriving at around 10.The Club opens at 11 but there is usually a huge line. Its a bit pricy for cuba but definitely worth seeing
Must do when your in Trinidad
Its a nightclub! In a cave! We arrived a little after 10pm which is when it is supposed to open but ended up waiting in line for about 45 minutes. I suggest heading there at 11pm or later if youd like to avoid that.
Very very crowded.there is a big line in the entrancemostly reggaton music.
Disco Ayala or better known as La Cueva. By far the best place to spend your night in Trinidad. Its a natural cave that is only open during nighttime as a bar/nightclub. Great place to meet tourists (mainly backpackersand locals. The music is good, lots of spanish music but also international music. And the cave itself is impressive.
Been to this disco inside a cave and it was definitely a one-time experience. 5 CUC for the entrance - drink included - was a fair price for such a unique location where to dance and listen to reggaeton, salsa and 2000s music. Unfortunately the tech system is not so advanced and it crashed, so we had to wait for W7 to restart :The toilets were a bit dirty, but overall this is a cool place you should try!
If you are in Trinidad Cuba, this dance nightspot should not be missed. What would Fidel think? Aside from the mojitos, deafening music and everything else, you are inside a cave. The police routinely question and check the ID of the local patrons as they leave.
Best nightclub in all of Cuba, inside a beautiful cave, great atmosphere and good music, good for older or young, its a nice mix of people.
FRIDAY & Saturday nights are way too busy, but Sunday night is perfect.
