There is simply no better place to eat in Montreal. I’ve been visiting for the last 10 years and it’s faultless with the most consistent service you’ll ever find.

Its not worth it at all! It felt like eating KFC meal, the chicken pieces are so small, that you can question what kind of chicken breast is that lol and for the individual meal you get a tiny breast and a even a tinier thigh lol its like kids meal but they charge 21$ for it which doesnt justify the quality or taste or quantity.

Absolutely delicious. I’ve travelled to the south of the US many times and was shocked to find a restaurant in MTL that could measure up. Ended up here completely by chance but will definitely be back.

Fried chicken was pink inside. When asked, the clerk responded, « Yes, we do this purposely, most customers like their chicken moist ». I will let the reader judge whether that response makes any sense.

Was nice after eating mostly Quebec cuisine for the first week of your vacation to have something different. Fried chicken was light and not greasy, gravy was very good. Biscuit / beans and coleslaw also good. If ever in the area would go to again.

Their fried chicken was simply amazing! Some of the best fried chickens Ive had in a while. I immediately fell in love with it! Very flavourful, and the outside is crispy but not burnt nor too oily. The inside was still juicy and packs a good flavour!I also had their mac & cheese, really good! Definitely in my top 5 for mac and cheese!Highly recommend

Huge family style table, where you end up speaking to the people next to you (a few private tables for two along the windows). Amazing fried chicken, waffles, and Mac & Cheese. Not what you expect. The waffles are infused with sharp cheddar and chives, the maple syrup with chilis. Worth the visit, you will remember it. Great lemonade with Angostura Bitters. They can also make you a sustainable/returnable picnic basket so you can take your meal across the street to the park. Highly recommended stop. Walking distance from Jean Talon market. Great service.

Dinette Triple Crown is what southern wet dreams are made of! They carry all the classics and then some. In my book, this place is one of the best quality/price spots in the city.

This place was absolutely amazing!! The food was delicious especially the Mac and Cheese, and the biscuit!! Our waitress was also super friendly! I loved the decor of the place too, it felt almost like you were in like a restaurant from the 1900’s. Totally will be coming back the next time I’m in the area!!

Fried chicken was okay with a light batter, mac n cheese was nice & creamy . Waffles were a bit stale . Interesting maple syrup with a lil spicy kick . Great Biscuits, Loved the side of hushpuppies with their ranch sauce. Fun experience with everything in Picnic basket and ate the park.

Id eaten here before and this place was top of my list to revisit when I came back to Montréal. Sadly, this time around, the fried chicken and waffles were VERY dry. Just plain over-cooked. In the pic, thats a big chunk of skinless chicken breast, which is not a cut Id ever expect to receive in a fried chicken dish. On the upside, the service was rapid and very friendly, and the Corpse Reviver was an absolute standout. Hope the kitchen rediscovers its mojo, because my earlier meal here was spectacular.

I went with my friends for last weekend, the food was delicious and truly worth the prices; the interior has a tavern-like vibes which I absolutely loved. The hospitality was amazing, kudos to the chef and the waiters."Arnold Palmer" is a non-alcoholic drink I most recommend.Most recommended.

So sad about the recent experience I’ve had. I didn’t come since before covid. Their menu was changed. There is no more sweet potatoes anymore.:( mac & cheese tasted weird compared to before. Drinks were absolate the same thing very good. The derby pie was very good but could taste really strong alcohol inside the pie. If you guys want to keep your old customers keep the same menu and also make sure to have the same ingredients as before. Thank you!!

Great chicken... 🐔... Yummy. I love the picnic baskets they prepare. Very tasty, albeit a bit pricey. However everything is becoming pricey! 😬

Its good and the seating inside is nice for a large group (a big central communal tablewhile still having space for 4 seaters around the windows. Menu is centred on the fried chicken which is moist and the skin crunchy. It could use some extra seasoning. Service is attentive and the food comes out fast.

Delicious fried chicken! The picnic basket is great family fun. You can eat at the nearby park! All sides were good! Loved it.

I give it a 4.5/5.Delicious South American food, more specifically its from the state of Kentucky.I usually prefer Korean fried chicken for the batters crunchiness and the chickens moistness. However, this fried chicken was also delicious. The crust isnt too thick but the chicken was perfectly cooked. It was also well marinated and seasoned! You could eat it without the sauces or gravy which were all homemade.The mac and cheese was gorgeous. My dad who isnt a fan also loved it. It has something special in it. The Popeyes biscuits were crispy and soft in the inside. They werent too dry and had a nice garlic hint to it. They are however not my favorite.The desserts were also very good, but I preferred bagatelle Pina colada trifle to the Derby pie.Overall, the service was very nice. The restaurant was small but rustic and warm. Its best to get a reservation if you plan to arrive a little later than 18:00 but its not necessary. The food was delicious and will definitely go back.

The fried chicken was decent. It was freshly fried so that made it taste good enough, but the batter felt a little off, maybe seasoning, maybe oil too hot, and the breast was a little dry. But overall, the biscuit was amazing, mashed potatoes and gravy were good and the waffles were tasty.We also got a derby pie, if I remember the name correctly, and it tasted very sweet but not in a bad way, but the crust was very hard, dry and felt old.I will give the place another time at a later time. Hoping for a better experience!

Best restaurant in Montreal! Whether in the summer, taking out to Jarry Park, or now in the dining room, their fried chicken always hits the spot. Finish off with one of their delicious trifles (which changes weeklyfor the perfect meal.

Have to say - the coleslaw was some of the best Ive ever had. The real stand out.

Just ok.The vegetarian fried mushrooms could’ve been good if it wasn’t for the awful mixed sauce that they were bathing in.The coleslaw was actually realllllly tasty and fresh!The biscuit was absolutely LIFE CHANGING. I would’ve just ordered 6 of those if i knew.Cookies were just fine, similar to a Tim Hortons cookies.We ordered for takeout, but the fried chicken was supposedly fine. Stayed crunchy/crispy, and tasted pretty average.

Sustainable package would be great. Biscuit was amazing but Kale was soggy and taste was quite bad. Chicken was wet. Mac & cheese was good but had too much crumbs and cheese was all at bottom for some reason.

The subtle appearance of this modest eatery is reflected in the cuisine. Straight forward, mildly crispy drum sticks and breasts are reminiscent of a home-cooked southern style meal. With sides of your choice and a moist, buttery biscuit -it is more than meets the eye.

Best fried chicken I have ever tasted in my life! All of the sides were very delicious too (hush puppies, coleslaw, macaroni salad, and cucumber kimchi). The bicuits are baked perfectly with some crunch on the outside and nice and fluffly inside. I almost forgot to mention how tasty their mac and cheese is! My kids loved the cookies too! Really nice experience ordering the take-out picnic basket, and setting it all up to eat at a picnic table in the pamrk across the street. I will definitely be back whenI visit Montreal again next summer!

The people are nice. All of the food was good to great. The fried chicken was good but the sides were better. The pinto beans and biscuits were especially good. Both the parfait and the coconut cream pie were great.Be aware that the menu is extremely limited due to Covid. Completely understandable but why is the website left up if it contains mostly incorrect information? I arrived knowing what I wanted but had to rethink everything at the counter.Fried chicken was the only meat available. There are no picnic baskets. They do take credit cards but you wont find that bit of info on their website.It was kind of shocked by the price although I did get a lot of food. You decide. Im not used to paying over $100 for a meal passed to me through a takeout window. 5 (smallpieces of fried chicken, a large macaroni and cheese, hush puppies, a small macaroni salad, 2 biscuits, pinto beans, 2 desserts and 2 cans of cider were $100+ before tip.I would go back but will probably wait until after Covid.

I tried the Individual “combo”. It comes with 2 pieces of chicken, 1 buttermilk biscuit, 1 side, some gravy and a chocolate cookie.For the side I choose the creamy coleslaw and it was good and not too creamy. The buttermilk biscuit was so good and really fluffy! The chicken was juicy and the skin crispy.Overall it was a nice experience but for the price paid I was expecting more.Note that right now they only take in person order or phone order.

Ate there on Dec 1st, I don’t know what was the smell but it smelled really strong/chemical (maybe glue?). Anyway I hope it will go away soon because it was my first time going there and it was so strong it may have impacted how the food tasted. I’ll consider going there again to retry the food though. The smoked brisket and mac n cheese were good. I wasn’t a fan of the corn bread (dry and bland). Mashed potatoes and fried chickens were good too. Hushpuppies were okay. I didn’t really like the collard greens. Service was good.

A beautiful meal with lovely service, in a cosy space. Five stars isn’t enough!The drinks were very well made with a good balance - my south side was neither too sweet nor too sour. The brisket was delicious and the mac and cheese was possibly the best I’ve ever had. I never thought to add cheese curds (is this a Quebec thing?but they were really the star of the show. We’ll be back for sure.

If youre looking for Southern Comfort up North, youve come to the right place! Authentic southern food, made by a wonderful group of staff who all share the same passion of bringing people together. Theyre most famous dishes are their Mac and Cheese (its a must order trust me!and their popular meat dishes. They always have something new and exciting on special as well so theres always something new to try apart from their regular menu. One of the best things I love about this place is their homemade Sweet tea. Its wonderful. The last I time I visited this place was back in 2016, and Ive been thinking about the sweet tea & the mac and cheese ever since! Their Key Lime Cheesecake was a little too sour for my taste, but Im sure thats a flavour that suits others, we still finished the entire thing regardless! Definitely will be returning on my next trip to Montreal. Its a must-go!

Wow I didnt know what I was getting into. But this is my new favorite place.The food was amazing, after a great night sleep woke up thinking about the meal.My date for the evening also supports this 5star rating.The staff was super friendly and helpful. The cocktails were perfect. I cant say enough good things about this place.I wish there was a location closer to the west Island. But the drive there is still worth it.P.s. you have to try the desserts!I swear thats how it came! 😅

I visited Dinette Triple Crown during a short trip to Montreal in June 2019 on a sweltering day. I was worried heavy foods in such heat would be a bad call, but it was actually my most memorable/delightful meal! I ordered the 2-piece fried chicken, mac n cheese & mashed potato sides, and a lemonade. Absolutely delicious southern comfort foods in a cute little place with great atmosphere and service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.I was surprised to find out afterwards that one of the owners is my BC high school teachers nephew (who is from Kentucky)! Small world.

The food here was excellent! Well seasoned, fresh and just simply delicious . No wait time to be seated on a Sunday at noon and great service overall

Great food, which we got to go. They will even assemble a picnic basket for you to take to the park across the street if you want to eat outside on a nice day. How awesome is that?We didnt get cocktails, but they looked like they were carefully and lovingly prepared, with premium fresh juices and ingredients. Ill definitely get drinks here on my next visit!

Absolutely delicious! Some of the best food Ive had in awhile. Really reminds me of the southern cooking my granny makes. Everyone is super personable and nice. Fast service and great atmosphere

Giving 5 stars because the food and service are fantastic. Was disappointed to find out that the filter coffee is $2.50 a cup (no refills). Not sure if this is common since I normally take an espresso beverage when available. Regardless, Dinette is great and Ill be back before long.

The best fried chicken Ive ever had, hands down. Pretty much everything on the menu is delicious: the mains, sides, the house-made sauces and pickles... the only shame is theres not a couple more BBQ staples for meat options like ribs or burnt ends. Still unbelievably delicious and a regular destination when I want to treat myself.

I absolutely recommend this restaurant. We ordered a variety of foods off the menu to try and share. It was amazing. Words cannot describe but I will certainly try. The fried chicken was so crisp and juicy, barely any bones so the three big pieces were almost all meat. The potatoes and gravy were so great and flavorful. The cornbread was not the best I have had, but I was in no way dissatisfied because it was still delicious. The biscuit is literally something to dream about, it is that good. Dessert was out of this world. I will without a doubt be going again soon. The staff is fun and very informative about the food. The location is convenient and street parking is available a few minutes walk away. Not too many seats in the restaurant but we didnt have reservations for 6pm on a friday and we got there about 30 minutes before it became packed. The food that you get for the price is very reasonable and so are drink prices. Again, I highly recommend going. This is one of my new favorite restaurants.

The best Kentucky food I have had in Montreal and even in Canada. The food was fresh an delicious the place was beautiful and above all the staff members were charming. Also, you can get a picnic basket and eat in the park in front of the restaurant. I highly recommend the place!

Awesome southern food spot! Been there so many times, never disappointed. And when I say awesome I mean ; awesome drinks, meats, side dishes annnnnd deserts. They also make their own variety of BBQ/hot sauces that are sooooooo good.Listen, if you are looking for a great southern comfort food spot, its definitely one of the best in Montreal. Beware my vegan friends, this might not be an ideal spot for ya.

Came here on a recommendation on a friend. We came here on the Saturday evening and the restaurant was quite busy so we put our name on the waiting list was told the wait would be roughly 30 minutes. We walked around and they finally gave us a call in which we waited for about 40 minutes- quite a wait for this place. When we initially arrived at the restaurant to put our name down, we found a little confusing as to where the actual restaurant was. The restaurant doesnt have a clear sign of the name of the restaurant but luckily we were able to find it. To our surprise, the place with the blue curtains with no signage was part of the restaurant. We found this out when they had our table ready for us and was directed by the staff at the main diner area to the other room.Each of us chose the "Meat and Threes" which is choose one meat and three sides OR choose one meat, one Mac and cheese and one side. My order was the brisket, Mac N Cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy. Loved the mac and cheese as it was nice and creamy-cooked very nicely. Mashed potatoes was good with the gravy. For me, the brisket was a little bit underwhelming. It wasnt as tender and I felt it was cooked a tad too long as it was not moist nor juicy. The pulled pork that I had from my friend was much tastier and more flavourful- really enjoyed the tenderness and fatty pork meat. We all ordered different dishes and some different sides. Our group did communal sharing where we had a bite of everyones food so thats the great plus on here being able to try different dishes. I also tried the fried chicken and thought it was a bit dry- it must have been overcooked as the juices seem non-existent in the chicken. I usually like my chicken more juicer and moist. If you have the chance, definitely get the Mac N Cheese which makes up for 2 sides. Overall, it was good dining experience despite some of the underwhelming dishes.

Service is good, staff is friendly, the waiting time is a bit too long tho.The food is pretty good. I like their Mac n cheese a lot. Brisket is well cooked and soft.

Simply the best sandwitch and sweet potato I have ever had in my life. All were delicious in a real classy ambient with reasonable prices. They have their own special sauce which makes the taste amplified and the food more tender. Feeling like a valuable discovery.

The offering of food/beverages is great! Southern comfort style cuisine with good portions for the value. The drinks are quite good, and you must try their deserts! Only downside is the kitchen/cooking area is only separated by drapes so expect to smell like food when you come out.
