Din Tai Fung Fuxing Restaurant - Shanghainese restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan
Din Tai Fung is the best. Fantastic food, comfortable environment, and good service. I’ve been here for more than 5 times. Love it!
Yummy food love the usual siao long pao and their pork chop is very tender love it!!!
Din Tai Fung always keep it standard among all of its restaurants in Taiwan. You can expect high standard of the services and high quality of food and cuisines. You can always find something delicious no matter how many people in your group to share. The price is not cheap but definitely worth the value tagged. Try it if you have never went there ever.
This is the second time that we order online Din Tai Fung and again today, it took over two hours for the food to arrive, and it got here completely cold - which is a complete disgrace considering the price point of this place.
I love Din Tai Fuxing. The best dumplings and fried dumplings in the world, I have eaten at many locations in Taipei. Love it highly recommend it!!!
Nice
You can’t go wrong with the food. The wontons and dumplings are my favourite. Easy to order, very attentive staff. The menu is in different languages as well.
My favorite restaurant from Taiwan by far. The spicy wanton are my favorite!
staff are all well-trained! excellent service with 9 languages sprakers. their fried rice and steam buns are highly recommended.
Very good, quality is same as Xinyi branch. Service is great. Better queue time.
Din Tai Fung is a taiwan born Chinese cuisine restaurant specializing in dim sum and good service at reasonable prices. Once you reach, take a queue number and you can see how many tables there are before you. Generally you will need to wait for awhile. The order form can be really confusing for non Chinese and even Chinese as they squeeze a lot of items in one small form. The highlights to order are:- prawn pancake- Xiao long bao (steamed dumplings filled with meat and soup)- sweet and sour soup- fried riceThey have a huge variety of items so feel free to order whichever that you fancy, most items should be of a good standard.
This Din Tai Fung restaurant is the best I’ve been to. Great food, efficient staff, and we only had to wait 5 minutes to be seated.
Fantastic food and service. Wait was really too long. 40min wait at 1.30pm on a weekday. Highlights were there vegetables fried rice (only in tw, the mala soup and of course the dumplings.
Amazing food and service, a must do when visiting Taipei. Everything was delicious but I have to recommend the dumplings, the best I have ever had.
A must stop-by restaurant for first time visitor to Taiwan. Multiple locations including Taipei 101. Could be quite busy and expect to wait on weekends and national holidays. All members of the entire party must be present to be seated. Very friendly and professional staff. Multiple languages spoken. Best time to dine is to avoid busy hours.
Convenient location of Din Tai Fung in the basement of SOGO. They open at 1030AM which is convenient. Standard to other locations the service is good and the wait is likely shorter here than other locations. Food is executed well, just as every other location. Their printed menu with pictures sometimes has outdated seasonal items that are not available at the time. You order on the paper menu, and there are numbers you can use to match up to the pictures you see in the printer picture menu (there is English there). Everything else is on point !
Always a line here and food is almost always great. Highly recommended if you like dumplings and vegetables
Typical Taiwanese food, very very delicious. It’s heaven for tourists. Too bad that we had to wait one hour to get a table.
was disappointed that I was told to wait for 100mins. but was very satisfied with the staff, gave us a menu and kept checking on us at the waiting area. eventually had to wait for 40mins for a table.as the order was already recorded while waiting, the food came out with 5 mins. the staff kept refilling the cup of tea and checked on us that everything was ok.enjoyed the service. food was delicious. definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.
I went for the first time, everything I had was amazing- staff, service and of course food! Staff was very friendly, however they only spoke mandarin at this location- thankfully someone helped me. The wait is based on how many people you had 1-2,3-4,5-6,7+. We had three people, wait was about half an hour (this was around 6:00pm). We got a couple of appetizers- pretty good. Then we got pork chop fried rice, the steamed beef soup, the Shao mai dumpling, and of course the xiaolongbao. I must say I did not expect the food to be so freshly made, and you can taste how fresh it is. I recommend going to this location, language might be a barrier but it was definitely worth it.
Delicious. The wait can be horrible because everyone wants to eat here. Please note the entire party has to be present before being brought to the table. If you have a stroller it will not be allowed into the restaurant.
Brilliant service. Good food.Appropriate waiting time- 10mins waiting time if you come here at 5pm (weekday).
This is a great place for TOURISTS. They speak excellent English and will assist you with any questions and concerns. The servers are incredibly nice, and the food is great. Obviously this chain is on the expensive side of soup dumplings in Taipei but like I said it’s great for tourists. Very clean and comfy. Though there are long wait times during peak hours, so plan accordingly!!
DTF Taiwan serves Great “Xiao Long Bao”!!! I love the appetizer - spicy beef stomach 😋Their staff also very polite and efficient.I would suggest ppl with children to visit this DTF branch as it is more spacious between the table.Con: Long waiting time!! Please go early~ especially if your are in big group (more than 4ppls).
Best service at a medium range price point, the water spinach and xiaolongbao are definitely a must have and my personal favorite is their cold braised eggplant with meat
Great dumplings (xiao-long-bao)!!! Very tasty! There is a long line so make sure to come before you feel hungry.
Really long waiting time for not surprising experience. The food was really good but is the least you expect from a Michelin start restaurant. However some street food surpasses this easily. I feel is more fame than reality.
Good variety of food. Service is good. Xiao long bao not as great as it when we ordered. Other dishes are good.
Managed to get a seat without a queue during off peak. Pleasant service and the same standard of food you get in any of the outlets.
Went at 1:45pm and got seated right away. The staff there are very friendly and polite. Do order the normal and the crab flavour xiao long bao!
Delicious. We came at 10:30am. There is no waiting like at the main shop. Don’t fancy the longan snack though.
The queue is surprisingly long, we were shocked however it was worth the waitingFood is really nice and authentic, the place is clean even though the traffic is so high, staff are super friendly and polite. Don’t miss the pork chop fried rice!
Everything here is absolutely amazing, service is great, prices are more than reasonable. It can be VERY busy though so go for lunch or an earlier dinner if you dont want to wait a long time for a table
Best dumplings I’ve ever had! They have really nice sesame and taro buns too. Staff were very generous and friendly. It’s also fun to watch how they make the delicious food they serve to you! Fantastic Sesame and Peanut noodles!
Everything was good!My mom and I were so satisfied.Although we had to wait about 30 mins, it wasn’t that bad.Their service and food were decent as always.I’m willing to visit there again and again.
Its my first foray at a ding tai feng restaurant overseas what more at the original flagship outlet. I heard about its legendary crowd hence I set off early with the intention of having my brunch there. I was lucky to wait for about 15 min although i heard that on certain days the waiting time could be about 45 min. What struck me first was the very courteous staff who was patient in spite of managing a growing crowd. The original xiao long bao dumplings lived up to its reputation. They are exceptionally good and almost too pretty to be eaten. Their exquisite trademark folds imprinted on the skin were truly a piece of art. Remember to finish them while they are hot otherwise the skin will harden at the tip. The xiao cai was tasty though i thought an extra dash of saseme oil will balance the tart vinegar. The beef noodle was generous with 4 thick chunks of beef guaranteed to satisfy any carnivore. Highly recommended to eat here but remember to bring extra cash if you are dining in a large group because they accept cash only.Metro: Dongmen station exit 5
One of great Chinese restaurants in Taipei. The staffs are extremely friendly and well-trained to take care customers.Delicious food, especially the dish calls “Xiao Long Bao”.Don’t forget to try some fried vegetables, good taste.
Great service, the wait staff are effiecient, friendly and helpful. If you arent sure what to order ask. They will put a cover over your jacket on back of your chair and give you a basket for bags or purses.Excellent food. Highly recommend the special soup dumplings, the crisp dumplings, pork with rice. All items we tried were delicious. If you go Durning busy times be prepared to wait, totally worth it.
Aside from having most likely the best steamed dumplings in Taipei, many other less known items on their menu are fabulous as well, like spicy wonton, chicken soup, and stirred rice with shrimp. More importantly, their fast and excellent service quality is totally worth the 10% service charge! The endless streams of customers certainly agree with that.
I am not a fan of queuing for food when there are other options but this is a place to see how they make dumplings and taste how delicious they are. I had to wait 35 minutes but that was not a big deal, managed to choose what I wanted to try while waiting for my number. They have nice chicken soup and fried rice beside steamed dumplings. The fried dumpling is my favorite! Service is very good. ❤️
Great food and great service! I must have been checked on by a waiter/waitress at least 10 times within the hour I was there - informing me of the status of my food, refilling my teapot, changing out dirty dishes for clean ones, wiping down my table before delivering dessert... The whole shebang! They even kept an eye out for ladies purses, offering to hide them under napkins. That is impressive! I have eaten at multiple Din Tai Fung locations and the quality of food never disappoints. If you have not tried their famous xiaolongbao yet, then you must do. I typically get at least two orders just for myself. One new item I tried was their longan pastries, which come in a fancy gift box. It has a unique, almost smoky sweetness to it that is irresistible.
Good service plus always same quality food. I’m satisfied what I want to eat.
I dont very often gives 5 stars, but this, is one of the exceptions. Food are really good, staffs and services are even better. During the time when I am here, I think about 45 mins to an hour, staffs did dropped by, at lease 5 times to ensure the food will be or has been delivered on time. Best restaurant of my Taiwan trip this time. Definately recommended.
Its been my favorite Din Tai Fung in Taipei for awhile — the waiters and waitresses are usually very professional. Unfortunately when we went yesterday, they were rushing us around like cattle, and one of the waitresses keep speaking to my friend in mandarin even though he doesnt speak mandarin at all.Surprised at the service we saw yesterday — they were speaking to a Japanese couple in mandarin as well. The food is still nice though!
Din Tai Fun is always a win option. Fan of all their spots over the world, but in Taipei is cheaper than in other cities! Eat everything!
Well, it is Din Tai Fung and this branch keeps up its reputation. The foods are delicious as they are known. But yes you have to wait around 40 mins because it is Din Tai Fung so the best way is to get the number then go walk around SOGO to kill time.
Popular xiaolongbao place. There is always a waiting line... their food is great and always maintain a standard. Excellent customer service, waiters are extreme attentive. Price is on the high side.
Price per person 300-600. Good food, pretty good service but pretty much always busy and youll have to wait (which I dont enjoy). Also they have a summer and winter menus which was disappointing because I wanted items off the summer menu. Its very much the (cleanethnic experience people are looking for. The food was good so I didnt get many pictures because we snarfed it back.Note, they are almost always super busy, you want to go at non normal meal times if you can. Prepare for a wait. That said they are very good at estimating the time it will take, and you can peruse the menu to order while you wait.
Located at level B2, you get a number and queue. I waited a little over half hour. You also get an English menu to select your food while waiting. Since you have a number you can go around here mall and come back later!Overall, its a fantastic restaurant with affordable food and great quality of service and food.
Great food and service. The staff were very polite and attentive and topped up our tea almost immediately after we ran out. They provided covers and bins for us to put our bags. The food came really quickly and I would definitely recommend the original soup dumplings, although the other ones were quite good as well!
