This easygoing dim sum restaurant also offers a variety of other traditional Chinese eats.
Very nice dim sum at a very good price. Added bonus is that they have an English menu as well.
Amazing value dim sum. Slightly over 400 for a whole table of dim sum (4 ppl). Taste is decent as well.
This used to be my go-to place to take everyone for dim sum. Food used to be delicate and melt in your mouth amazing. Since coronavirus started we haven’t been back for a while so yesterday I took my son for dinner. All the staples we ordered were terrible. Still edible, but terrible. The pineapple buns were slightly bigger than before but thicker flour and not as good. The crunchy shrimp roll was super thick and the siu long bao (soup dumplingwas basically meatballs wrapped in dough.Where did the original chef go? I hope he’s ok… please come back soon
We wanted to try this because this is very famous and did not disappoint us. If you love Chinese food you will love this place.
Excellent Dimsum. Value for money. Have English menu.
Prawn dim sum,,siu Mai and chi Cheong fun are really delicious! Initial when I walked in the restaurant, I super worry that the dim sum here would not meet my expectation due to its setup and outlook. After ordering and tasting few traditional dishes, I am impressed. Strongly recommend to drop by here for great dim sum at reasonable price.
Delicious dim sum that seemed to be popular with locals. Theres an English menu, but be warned that they only accept cash.
Well known restaurant for Dim Sum.Taste good, but a little bit expensive. Also location is not so good. There is nothing else, so need to come for only this restaurant. 10min walk from nearest station or come by taxi.Hope that the attitude of staff will improve in the future. No smile, seems bored. (Maybe only one women, but gave me not a good impression)
To avoid the crowd, come right when the place opens for breakfast. The dim sums are served promptly, and the servers are generally friendly
My first time in Hong Kong and some locals in the street recommended this place. Little did I know it was one of the best places for Dim Sum in town. Staff were friendly and price was good. Their pineapple rolls were also very delicious. Well probably be back before we leave.
A very tasty and local dim sum shop in HK. You can enjoy dim sum during day time and night time. Price is very reasonable and getting more and more tourist coming. Lunch time ususlly has to queue up. Restaurant ia very small with small tables and chairs. Everything is declious!
Come here for the food! Yum! But I prefer the shop in Causeway Bay. They served the milk tea in a big bowl with ice, not in this shop though.Staff were not patient to explain in Mandarin what the ingredients are in the food.
Amoung the best authentic Chinese dim sum restaurants in town! Always be prepared to wait and yes they are a chain meanwhile, but nevertheless this restaurant is worth a visit for any foodie. Authentic Chinese cuisine with perfect flavour! Wide variety of dumplings! Nothing fancy, no special service all very basic. But a must visit for every Chinese food lover
The time when Im at there is 16xx, so not many peoples which is good to me. I order 3 things, all local traditional dim sum, all nice!
Delicious tasty morsels to be had here! Definitely worth the wait of the queues! Bbq pork buns 👌
I came to this dim sum restaurant at about 8:30pm but there were still customers in line. There is nothing out of every price of dim sum. Hongkong ale beer Kowloon Bay match to their food.
When in Hong Kong you have to get dim sum. Theres a Tim Ho Wan near me and many other local dim sum places in Taipei so I wanted to try something new. Thats how I found Dim Dim Sum.This place is small, about the size of my living room, but they pack the people in with fast service. I showed up around 2pm and was quickly seated and given a menu to check off what I wanted. There was a carafe of tea ($4HK mandatory for each personand you can get warm/hot water. The staff is efficient and perfunctory. If you need something, ask. They are not there to anticipate your needs, which is not for everyone but its classic Chinese style.I ordered the shrimp dumplings, braised vegetables, steamed pork ribs, steamed BBQ pork buns, Malay cake, shrimp with eggplant and seafood in pan fried chili. I clearly over ordered and the people around me smirked as more dishes kept coming out. This was more than enough for two and I ended up eating it for dinner too.The shrimp dumplings were good, better than standard. The steamed pork spare ribs were delicious, but took the longest to come out. I thought they had forgotten them. The shrimp with eggplant was fantastic. The seafood stuffed chili was good too but hard to bite through because the skin was left on. Then steamed BBQ pork buns had lots of filling and the Malay cake was not too sweet. The only let down and thing I didnt finish were the vegetables. I believe they were baby gailan but they had no seasoning or sauce on them. Im used to it being served with oyster sauce drizzled on top.My total bill came to $180HK which was about cheap for Hong Kong and what I expected to pay for so much food at an above standard level.Cash only, no cards but they do have an English menu. Theres a tiny bathroom and the air conditioning is adequate. None of the staff spoke English, that I could tell, but they did speak Mandarin to me and that got me through it.
If you are looking for the best dim sums in your life you are in a right place. Service might be a bit rough if you don’t speak Chinese but it’s all worth it. Place appears a bit dodgy but quality of food is on another level.
Really good place for dim sum! The food is super, the menu is broad enough (although not too diverse, arguably focuses on a couple of key items), prices are alright (bit on the higher end compared to similar places). All in all recommended if you are around.
Best food had in Hong Kong so far. Came back here the next day after first try. Everything tastes really good!
Was OK, not that traditional dim sum which I preferred. Shrimp Chong fan was worth to try!
Great place for dimsum. Most of the dimsum we ordered were yummy - see photos appended. Full of tourists. Great customer service. Staff were polite. Total bill for 5 pax came up to 344 HKD.
Decent place for Dim Sum, fast moving queues as well. Decent service as compared to other places. Offers english menu.
Very tasty food, we came back the day after to try more dishes. Very nice staff. Highly Recommended!
🤤😍👍Went at 2pm+. Still quite packed and thankfully no queue. Love the dimsum here. Pineapple bun was interesting. Crispy rice roll was delicious too. Mum loved it. Dumpling with prawn and imitation sharks fin was yummy. Simply missing every item we ordered already. 15% off bill after 2.30pm ... MUCH WIN 😁 100% will return. Definitely one of the best dimsum spots
Food is good but not great. Ambiance feels local and authentic. Not kid friendly. $4 water charge per person. Does not accept credit cards. Like others have said, staff is a bit rude. Overall Id say try it if in the area but dont go out of your way to visit.
Excellent choice for late night dim sum. Quality is above average--better than your typical daytime yum cha restaurants in more popular areas but not your Michelin Star dim sum. Fast casual and no nonsense. Get your fill, pay, and go. Quick and easy.
Cash only, but contrary to what I saw elsewhere, they do have an English menu available. Service was fast. I recommend getting there about ten minutes before opening. We went on a weekday, got there just before they opened and were seated right away, but within thirty minutes the whole place was full and people were lined up outside.Im no dim sum expert, but for me this place lived up to the hype. Would go back. I especially recommend the pineapple cakes as a dessert. Really sweet and not as filling as they looked.
Love it! Innovative dishes paired with delicious chilli sauce. Went twice and still missing it now. We didnt have to queue to get in so the experience was quite pleasant.
Well made dimsum in a casual setting. They seemed to have mistaken my order for panfried turnip cakes for fried shrimp wanton, but otherwise the meal was full of my favorites. Beef was nicely springy, with the hint of preserved orange lingering on the palate.
When we ordered steamed vegetables, being the only white people in the restaurant, we got served steamed limp lettuce. All the other tables were served steamed choy sum. When we questioned the staff about this, they couldn’t give us a reason why we got served lettuce, and agreed that we had ordered the same menu item as everyone else. They didn’t apologise. The dumpling were great, but this really soured the experience.
Loved this establishment for its fine dim sum. I was recommended by a local friend to this spot and I absolutely enjoyed myself there. Be warned for long queues so be prepared to wait in line for a spot.
Great food and an English menu translation!Really enjoyed the food here, there were a couple of vegetarian options too.The xiao long nap were amazing and the custard bao (little piggieswent down a treat and were very cute!!Fairly busy but I am not sure if you can book, good turnover though so we were not waiting long.I would go again.
One of my very favorite meals in HK. Everything we got was yummy! Really love the salted egg bun and it’s just so much better with the piggy. Will definitely be back when in HK! 💕 Oh and a bonus that they have a clean restroom (and not one of those squatting ones either 🙃)!
I was lucky enough to get a seat immediately even though there was a line forming. They had a table that I shared with another person. The menu was easy enough to go through, and it doubled as the ordering slip where you put down how many items of each you want then handing it over to the waitress.I ordered a few things which sounded interesting like the mushroom bun with taro and the siu mai.The food looked really nice particularly the mushroom bun, which looked like a mushroom. It tasted ok. Guess I may have just ordered the wrong things.
It’s nice, smaller dim sum restaurant in the West Kowloon area. Busy and noisy, as any Hong Kong restaurant! Easy and short walk from Austin or Jordan station, Kowloon station isn’t too far either! Anyway walking 🚶♂️ is good after the dim sum - you’ll be full of food! The food itself isn’t anything super special, in my opinion. It’s very affordable though so it’s okay. The local neighbourhood is nice to explore as well.
One of the best dim sum in Hong Kong. It is authentic with a modern place. Their service is quite fast. I love almost all of the food we orders. We went to this place 3 times during my 7 days visit. They have english menu. So it is easy for us to order the food. Because the place quite crowded, you might sittinng with strangers but its quite common in Hong Kong.
During my visit I found this is the best dimsum in Hongkong. totally delicious and the waitress also very friendly. price is also reasonable. Try the crispy rice flour rolls, they are really delicious.
We arrived half an hour early before it opened so we didnt have to line up. Food was very good! Orders came very fast and you know they were freshly prepared. The piggy bun with custard filling is surprisingly good. Order this for your dessert.
Over rates food. Does not meet my expectations. Too much fat and grease in the food makes me full after one bite.
good food and reasonable price, but not very helpful staff
Good foodThe bill come in Chinese only and It is difficult for foreigners to check the menu. They didn’t give one dishes for us but we remembered it and check so we asked for not paying what we did not get.Recommend: red pork buns and pineapple buns and green chili with shrimp 🦐
Delicious! One of the best dim sums in HK! 20% off for weekday orders between 1430HRS to 1730HRS!But menu is in Chinese so you’ll have a hard time ordering if you can’t read traditional Chinese.Carrot cake and Siew Mai are must-eats! Highly recommended.
I enjoyed the dim sum and the cold Chinese beer, although the place was really overcrowded and busy. The dim sum were tasty (such as fried eggplant with pork and shrimp).
Delicious food! Not too much in the way of atmosphere but perfect for a quick and yummy lunch. Order their piggy custard buns and you wont regret it!
Friendly and polite service, food taste above average (except some food that taste very very delicious).Location is pretty isolated from the nearest MTR station (Austin MTR / Jordan MTR).
I feel this place is overrated. There are better dim sum at better price too. But they taste good.
The dim sum was delicious! I highly recommend the crispy rice roll with prawns and the aubergine dim sum. The fried dumpling w wasabi filling was interesting and palatable! The pricing was reasonable- spent less than 150 hkd for five dishes. Opens from 10am and queues are longer on weekends but they move fast.
Very good dim sum here; we went for dinner, and though we got in pretty easily since we arrived early enough, a line formed soon after we were in there. You do end up sharing the table with strangers sometimes because of the limited space, but the food is definitely very good! They do have some items that you dont find elsewhere, such as a cheong fan with shrimp and fried dough inside! Definitely recommended!
Pretty good dim sum... Not a fan of the thousand island dressing in the spring rolls thoughThe fried stuffed peppers is good... So is the crispy shrimp Cheong funAsk for English menu, you have it behind the counter
