Cant sleep, aside from very noisy neighbours, almost cant breath of the cigarette smoke OMG and you called it non-smoking hotel? Tried to cover my nose with sheets or pillow also the smell of chlorine was unbearable. The room is not very clean, even the sliding door of toilet was dirty and slippery. But the size of the room is so big for that price.

Value for money the desk is helpful and you dont get the size of this room in this location with such budget.

Great, clean room. Very polite staff, too. Although I could hear people in the hallway through the door, it was otherwise quiet and comfortable. For the price, Ill gladly stay here again.

Front desk staff are very polite and helpful. Room look recently renovated. The room I have is very small, but clean and tidy and with a relatively open view. It is in front of the elevators and noisy especially at night. Free laundry!! No need to look for coin laundry outside, just need to buy detergent from front desk for ntd20, but none of dryer work. Make sure you lock your room, there seem to have random people in and out of the hotel. One night people try to enter my room via the electronic combination lock, next morning notice the cover for the electronic key entry was slide down. Check out time is 12 noon, they called at 11:15 to remind you to check out. First time being reminded to check out.

Cigarette smoking is a problem here. In such a big budget hotel I can understand its hard to enforce a no smoking rule, but if you have asthma, breathing problems, or dont want to walk through smoke on your way to your room be sure to ask the hotel for a room on the 6th floor which they keep for weekend overflow, but almost always has vaccancies... or just dont come here.Suggestion to the management of the hotel, please post a large visible warning that violators of your no smoking policy will recieve a fine of at least 10,000 NTD and then use the money to cover costs of loss of business of the violators and people like me who complain about the smoke who will probably not come back due to the excessive smoke. Also fyi, breakfast is no longer served here just in case that matters to you, but for the price its overall not a bad option.

Room is just the right size to fit your busy holiday schedule for a family of 4. Also love to mention the convinent laundry facilities at the roof floor that had greatly eased all our dirty clothing... Will come back again to M-Hotel.

Nice location, walking distance to Taipei Station and Ximending. The room is cleaned and enough space. However, the decoration style is tended to dark, family staying may not feel comfortable

Hotel of value with friendly staff and buffet breakfast with vegan options. It is quite a walk from Taipei M Station but manageable if you have no little one in tow. Beds were spacious and a water dispenser is available so you don’t need to buy bottled water. Note that you need to be quiet since rooms are not sound proof.

Hotel was located 5 mins walking distance from the Taipei Underground which connects to the Taipei Main Train Station. It is also 10 mins away from Ximen Night Market. The decor is very old and so is the dirty carpet. The lifts are slow and the rooms has an old smell to it. The beds are hard as cardboard. The worst was the washing machines and dryers. There were 5 of each, but 2 broke down, causing a queue to form.Breakfast food is repetitive, and the service is poor. They did not replenish hotel room items. Also, once at midnight, they accidentally triggered the fire alarm, waking people from bed.

A simple Budgetary hotel in Taiwan if you like a Budget hotel. The room is clean but rather small. That’s impossible to actually stay in your room to do the work. The window is pathetic as you see the neighbour building so closet. The breakfast spread is readable with simple Taiwanese and western food. Location is superb .. near to train station and surrounding attraction. The lobby is small but not so attentive. Waited there for a while even with 4 counter staff doing their other work than attend to me for check in !

Small, but nice clean rooms. The hotel can be noisy as some guests can be quite loud in the hallways at night. Great location, close to a few attractions and MRT stations. Overall it was a pleasant place to stay.

For the price of the room, it is worth it. I stayed on the 10th floor, room size a bit small, good enough for the price I paid for. Toilet clean and up to date. Shower water pressure is strong. Pillow is ok for me. Not too soft and not too firm. Air con is working fine, able to adjust the temperature.Hotel location is near the Taipei Main station, XiMen station and the NTU Hospital station

We stayed here immediately after flying since its right by the main station before we moved on to other places. We didnt know our room wouldnt have a window (wasnt listed on our reservation that there was no window), but since it was only 1 night, we didnt mind too much. Rooms are on the small side, but still big enough for 2 people, and the minimal decor was clean and modern. The breakfast was a nice spread of Taiwanese food with some more Western style foods.

The hotel staffed are efficient in the checking in process and the facilities made the hotels feels more than a 3 stars hotel. The airport pickup service was rather affordable and was on time.Room was a little lack luster with the lack of windows and my partner and I experienced a minor itch from the bed but nothing really horrible despite the setback it was overall a pleasant experience. Location was wonderful as it was in the middle of Taipei Main Station and Ximen Metro Station.Highly recommended for the price, service is excellent.

I sent an email to request for an early check in but no response from the hotel, we arrived at around 13:00 but check time is 15:00 I was travelling with my old age mom, i understand its an international hotel policy regarding check in & check out timings but an exemption if can be accomodated and if possible and room is available should be considered. Location is perfect, rooms are clean.

Good location (close to Taipei Main Station). Lot of food and massage places in the surrounding blocks. Walking distance to Ximending (if the weather is not too hot). Soundproofing could be improved, you could hear rowdy kids in their room from way down the corridor. Room facilities are decent. Nice and clean

The location is great, but the building is old and the room that I had looked like its seen better days. That said, its a decently priced hotel that provides the necessary basics for a short stay. Not sure if this is the case for every floor, but mine had a water dispenser by the elevators that served cold, warm, and hot water - I bring my own water bottle when I travel so this came in handy.

Small room without windows. I think the room is just newly renovated. All furnitures are quite new. What I like is the bathroom. The shower is good with strong and warm water. There is a free wifi in the room with strong signal. The location is excellent. Closed to the main station about 5 minutes. There are good restaurants and shops nearby and closed to Ximending in a walking distance.***Only one main cons is a door system. People from other rooms always unintentionally make a loud noise when they close the door, even at the night time. Extremely annoying during sleep. This issue should be fixed by rechecking the door closing system ASAP.

Good room which was much better than I imagined when I compared with the price. The location is in between Xi Men MRT and Taipei M Main Station which make it very convenient. I read from the review that some rooms have no windows and small so I chose the room with windows and it was very nice, bright, and not small at all. So check your room type and size carefully. The room is clean and you’ll get all facilities you need. The breakfast could be better but not bad. Overall, recommended!

I didnt regret to cancel my booking on the other hotel and chose this :The staff are friendly, they even greeted me good night before I went to my room and good morning when I went out to buy some food. But I had a hard time finding my room 😅 The room is clean and quiet, I had a comfortable sleep, everything is well maintained, although, theres a used towel hanged in the door of the shower, I can tell because it was slightly wet haha, but it wasnt a big deal for me. I got lucky last night because I booked a fashion double room for a cheap price and when I get there they upgraded my room into a deluxe quadruple room, idk why, haha and still payed the same booking price. I wanna go back someday 👍

Firstly, the rooms are small. There are no windows, so you may find it slightly claustrophobic. The walls are paper thin, so you will hear doors slamming, people talking next door/outside. And strangely, even past midnight and into the late 3/4am, you will hear lots of slamming door noise as well. The plumbing also creates this long screeching high pitched sound every now and then, sometimes for a good five minutes or longer. If someone flushes from above, you may even be able to hear it.The hotel has a really tacky design, much like the old hotels owned by the black society in those Taiwanese soap dramas. The hallways are dark and has the strong unmistakable stench of cigarette smoke even though its a non-smoking hotel. The quality of the television makes it feel like I have been transported 2 generations back. Coloured, but very pixelated/blurred screen with time lag issues between voice and visual. Breakfast spread, quality and taste was to say the least, worst than the street food outside. We decided to have breakfast elsewhere after the horrible breakfast we had on day one.People there are friendly, but it doesnt make up for their poor room cleaning service. The room was dirty. Some toiletries were not replenished (they did in my parents room). The soap provided was definitely not for sensitive skin (my skin reacted after leaving the soap on for a few seconds and the feeling was irritating, prickly and painful if left on for too long). A sweet wrapper I found on the floor the day I entered the room was still there the day I left. Strands of hair were found on the bedside stand. Toilet paper was very wet when I first used the toilet. The room service lady just brushed it off as water from when the toilet was being washed. Although, I would expect these things to be checked before guests enter the room, considering how its a 3 star hotel and the price of the room was twice of what we paid for the room in Taitung (which was unexpectedly absolutely amazing). Our room was also obviously lacking some amenities (compared with my parents roomsuch as a luggage stand. The room was tiny, so the luggage stand was essential, unless you are willing to forego your walking space. We tried requesting for another for my brother who was sharing the room with me but the counter staff told us that we were only limited to one per room (which was a totally false statement because my parents requested for another stand and managed to get it). There was supposed to be a hook behind the toilet door to hang clothes on which my room didnt have. The do not disturb sign was missing as well. We didnt really bother with the other missing items as we didnt use them but Im sure there were more items missing. The overall experience and feel of the hotel was terrible. In fact, we were prepared to leave the hotel after the first night and breakfast there. However, considering we were only there for a mere 3 days, we decided to remain there.I honestly wouldnt recommend anyone to stay here unless you have no choice. It is also quite a distance away from Taipei Main Station. Without the luggage, it wouldnt feel like much, but with it, especially with no escalator or lifts, its very troublesome. If you are considering to book a double room in this hotel, go for deluxe. Last time I checked, the difference was only about SGD$50 a night. Although you would have to confirm this again just to be sure. And just in case anyones wondering, no, there arent any free shutter buses provided by the hotel to the airport.

4 washing machines for approximately 600 rooms. These are cheap washing machines with no indication of remaining time. If you dont have adequate washing machines for your hotel, dont advertise it as having a laundry service.Further, the windows were grimy and towels were left in a wet sink. There are many better hotels in the area that cost the same or less. The general maintenance is trash. The only thing the hotel has going for it is the service crew who are very polite.

Just checked in this afternoon. Very friendly staff at the lobby. Clean but tiny rooms. Very noisy from the trucks beeping and honking from the roads and paper thin walls where we can hear everything from the corridor and next door neighbours. We got this room after explicitly asking for a quiet room. Will be staying 8 nights and not looking forward to the rest of my stay. Was expecting better than this.

The hotel is quite new and clean. Theres drinks and white breaded provided at every hour. The gym is a but run down and theyre swings on the roof of the hotel. Theres this moveable snack stall ran by a Taiwanese old man which sells this amazing red bean or milk cake snack at an amazingly affordable price and its insanely delicious. Bought at least 4 of those everyday I was there. Its a snack you wont regret eating!

Stayed here from 20-25 Sept 18. The staff are attentive and friendly. There are dispensers at the lobby and the 10th floor that serves complimentary coffee/tea. Complimentary washer and dryer for you to wash your clothes but be prepared to come during the off peak hrs to do your laundry. Overall, an excellent hotel to stay if you are looking for comfort on a tight budget.

Location is great, room was windowless and the toilet door didnt lock or close completely. The safe wasnt secure and the beds were harder than normal. All in, it was fine for a night, clean, but not fantastic. Reception staff also look like their uniform is an inappropriately short skirt but fortunately they are allowed to wear dark tights.

Good location. Breakfast suited for asian pallet . 3 star is correct. Ladies in front desk and really the entire hotel were so polite and helpful. The floors are supposed to be non smoking but we were sure someone was smoking on our floor. Do not get the middle rooms without a window if you are claustrophobic. Stayed here for 4 nights in Taipei, the location is great, its a 5 minute walk to Taipei main station and a short walk to Ximen. We had a comfort double room which at the time we didnt know it had no windows. The room was also right by the restaurant (room 1052), so if you want a long sleep in the morning I recommend asking for another room as you can hear the plates banging in the morning. Bottles of water are refreshed everyday and breakfast is more for Eastern tastes. I would stay here again, its a nice hotel with a rooftop

Quite many rooms but quite simple. Breakfast there is free but almost the same things everyday, rooms are cleaned once at request and mostly clean other than I feel that the curtains (those rooms at the sides with windowsare quite dusty. Good for budget hotels and can accomodate a family of four. The hotel is quite far from the train station though.Edit: The Wifi there is not very strong.

Location was great. We took advantage of the free breakfast and beverages, refilling water bottles for our entire stay (although they kindly replenished our water bottles every day. The washroom was very efficient, rooms were super clean (you can smell the disinfectant when they clean the room, its not just a wipe down that they do). Hotel staff were nice and approachable, very kindly giving us directions or Mandarin translations to our destination.

Do not recommend this hotel! Location is good, however the walls are way too thin and you can hear EVERY noise, specially of the rude guests (and there are a lot of themwho even yell to each other in the hallway after midnight. You can even hear the guests in the room next to yours taking a shower. Our room was also small and had no windows, even though my parents got a bigger one paying the same price. The bathroom wall is actually all glass with a big gap on the top of the door (not much privacy). Breakfast was very bad food-wise, messy, a bit chaotic and lacking things. For example, they don’t have knives or spatulas if you want to put butter on the bread, you have to use a wooden stick (originally for stirring coffee). Staff was not so friendly. Overall the biggest problem is the lack of sound prevention and the type of guests (who have no mannersstaying in this hotel.

Its too noisy, super poor sound prevention! You can hear people talk or laugh inside the room, TV sounds next door and even the sounds of water pipe which is next to your bed! Poor choice and bad taste of breakfast. There will have raining drops problem of the windows in winter. (And no windows for the small size room). The air-con cant produce warm air in winter, actually, we already choose the luxury double room. Everything were disappointed. Just the location is good.

The staff are very polite and helpful. They are always ready to serve. There is a mini outdoor lounge outside the hotel. It provides free drinks like coffee, tea and water. You can get free drinks all day. This service is also available at their roof top restaurant/garden. The hotel is very well located in between Taipei Main Station and the XiMenDing market, about 5~10 minutes walk to both places from the hotel. The shopping areas are very accessible. This is a shopping paradise, especially the ladies. Just shop till you drop.

Place is overall very clean! Rooms are a little smaller than I expected. Lots of choice of food as breakfast , but not necessarily the best tasting ones. They offer free washer dryer at the top floor for free. But be prepared to wait to use the washer dryers, at nights all 5 machines are mostly used up. Those machine are outdated and stops in a middle of washing cycle while washing (need to keep a eye on them. Sames goes For the dryers, they dont heat up much and takes forever to dry.

Worst hotel Ive ever visited. The good reviews about this hotel are complete bogus. Helpful staff but horrible hygiene and zero comfort (the bed mattress is probably just foam). Walls and windows are paper thin. Noise from the street kept me awake even on the 9th floor (I had to use towels to block the window seams but only to no avail). Noisy guests with no manners. Breakfast food is basically for Asian taste only.

We stayed here for four nights. It is about 5 minutes to the Main Station which makes it very convenient. The top floor is where the restaurant is and it is always open with drinks, coffee and tea. There is a great foot massage shop right next to the hotel too. The breakfast could be better. We only had it the first morning and then had breakfast from local restaurants nearby. Diagonally across the hotel there is a famous pepper cake shop.

Very convenient location close to Main Station. Free drinks (coffee, tea, speciality coffee, juice etc.all day long. Breakfast includes a good variety of food. Price is very reasonable. The rooms are really nice, with fairly new facilities (washroom, shower and furniture). The laundry facility is not the greatest, since the driers take a while to dry the clothes. Arrogant people also do not help since they split the load among multiple driers and you end up waiting for a drier. The gym is nothing special but then again I was not there for the gym. I would much rather tour the city.
