Oysters are great, with a wide variety of food options on the menu. If youre looking for seafood in the east end, this is the place to be! Enjoyed all the appetizers, but wasnt a big fan of the Lobster Roll. It is blended with other seafood which tastes okay but I was really expecting that Boston lobster roll style style. Aside from that, the food was 👌

Im giving Dianas a 3 star this time. The seafood is almost always great here, and the 3 types of oysters we had were spectacular. I ordered the seafood mixed grill that came with Salmon, shrimp and scallops over rice and market vegetables. The salmon was way overcooked, white and tough. The shrimp were tough and overcooked. The scallops were perfect but way underseasoned. The rice was bland and mushy and the market vegetables....well....frankly looked, and tasted like canned veggies. Its unfortunate because you usually cant get a better seafood place than Dianas. If it wasnt for the oysters being perfect, it would have been a single star. Sorry, but this time missed the mark.

Lets start with what was amazing about this restaurant. Lhe interior was wonderful, cozy and clean. the staff was extremely polite, courteous, and helpful. They were patient with all of our questions. We started off with the appetizer sampler. The seafood was fresh, the salad was delicious, but the proportions were less than satisfactory. It was a pricey appetizer and did not reflect the amount of food. in contrast, We had also ordered the fried calamari appetizer in addition to the sampler and were pleasantly surprised that the proportions were far better than the sampler which should not happen. Nevertheless, the food was fresh and delicious. the entree was disappointing for a slightly different reason. I had ordered a pasta seafood dish. The pasta tasted fine, the seafood was plentiful in the dish.. they were definitely not stingy in that area. But the food was extremely bland. It felt like I could create this pasta dish if I were afforded the same amounts of seafood to work with.TLDR: Great choice of atmosphere and the seafood is definitely fresh. Stick to oysters and appetizers and youll have a great time.

The oysters are fresh and great! I don’t recommend the pasta dishes (ingredients are fresh but it’s unseasonedor appetizer plate (very little portions for the price).It’s better to order appetizers separately. Highly recommend the fried calamari, some of the best I’ve ever had!Eat here if you’d like to have oysters and appetizers with drinks! You’ll enjoy it a lot!

Oyster is great but everything else is disappointingWe got 4 appetizers, all $18-$20 but the portion r all sooo little except for the mussels.Shrimp is tasteless (also mentioned in other reviews so it’s not just mefried rice is not fried. It’s rice mixed with corn and beans 🫘 and it’s barely warm. Lamp is burned. (We asked for well done bc it’s for a kid, but it came BLACKENEDthe kid said it tasted like charcoal.We were so disappointed in what we ordered already that We almost ordered more bc we thot it’s not enough food but we decided to hold off and get food else where if we still feel hungry after the meal.We spent $200 plus here and 2 ppl left the restaurant feeling hungry. We ended up getting Monga Fried Chicken and the kid was finally happy.My family said maybe they changed owners bc it wasn’t like this last time they came here years ago.Service was good tho. Will ONLY return for oysters (but as far as I know you can’t order oysters alone? )

I had the most incredible seafood experience here. It’s pricey but the food is fresh and delicious. Def a great treat! Too bad it’s far from where I live.

One of the top seafood restaurants in Toronto period. Decent prices with good tasting food that isnt bland! Customer service here is always top notch.They have some good oyster specials on certain days that you cant miss. My personal favourite here is Lucky Lime which is around $3 a piece. You can get specials for dozen for $12 or $24 with app depending on the oyster.Came here and got the mussels, roasted sea bass and seafood platter which had salmon, jumbo shrimp and scallops. Each dish was a hit, everything was cooked to perfection!

Pricey and the portions were a little smaller than I had hoped but the taste was superb. And of course oysters are oysters but they definitely have a large selection. If you want to go on a nice patio side evening date this would make a good stop.

Ive been coming here since they opened, not often as ive wanted to but regardless service has been pretty good, food has always been excellent. Today i particularly got the lobster, crab, shrimp roll with a clam chowder and it was everything, I didnt even know what i wanted before i decided Id just grab something here. Its always worth it to come here.

The food is good. The atmosphere is nice. The staff is friendly.I’ve got a seafood salad 🥗 that was light but tasty. My friends got shrimp platters and lobsters and loved it too. Definitely a place you gotta go if you are into seafood 🦞 🍤 🦐**** They also have a store you can get all kinds of seafood and it’s open during the day. Always fresh stuff. I have friends that come from far away to shop here.

Was very dissatisfied with this place. I expected the freshest fish possible, but I didnt get that at all. Ive had better experiences at Red Lobster and The Keg where I would have payed less money. The mussels didnt taste fresh and were almost soggy and too soft. The calamari wasnt very good either. Potatoes were terrible, beans still had the pointy ends on them. They charge higher end prices but the quality and chefs ability just doesnt match the price. What a major let down as the location has so much potential. I wouldnt recommend this place.

I dine here often and the food is always amazing. Service is good 90% of the time, can be frustrating when you get a server that is flakey and hard to flag down for a simple request.Best oyster selection in the city.

The best thing to order are the oysters. My favorite was the Acadian Gold as it was slightly briny and had a hint of the ocean. The Kusshi oysters are tiny in size and tasted average. The Fanny Boy was unpleasant as the flavor profile was extremely strong. I liked the clam chowder, but it is pricey. The waitress was helpful and patient.

Everybody has heard the tall tales about the fisherman that hooked the great fish that got away. I fortunately got hooked on a great seafood restaurant that didn’t get away.My family and I recently dined at Diana’s Oyster Bar and Grill on Lawrence Ave. East in Scarborough. My wife and I shared the Beet Salad which was truly delicious. We both ordered for our main course the Diana’s Seafood Stew which contained mussels, clams, fresh fish, lobster, and a crab leg. This dish was absolutely fantastic. My family also chose the grilled fish, a pasta plate and we all shared some yummy oysters. What else can I say, everything was heavenly and nobody left a crumb on our plates. Service was excellent throughout the meal.For a truly delightful taste from the bounty of the sea, I most definitely recommend Diana’s Oyster Bar and Grill.

My first experience and the wait staff was fast, courteous and food was very good. Unfortunately, we were seated next to a party of over 12 people. They were so loud , bumping our chairs and didnt seem to care about the other diners around them. A server came by and moved us right away and we were able to enjoy our evening. I will definitely be back but please remember your other diners. Those guests were unreasonably loud.

Havent had lunch here in quite some time and notice the fish and chips had changed flavour wise. It wasnt as great as I remembered it but still good. Clam chowder was delicious as always. My wife had the lobster roll and she had mentioned it to had changed and wasnt a fan. This does not change us eating here in the future as the oysters are still what we go there for. Market in the back has great quality seafood and certain items definitely priced well.

Very very happy with everything we ordered here - fresh raw oysters, clam chowder and fish & chips. The fish was really fresh and batter was crispy and double fried fries.. yummm. The oysters were of great value too - $26 for a dozen and you can mix and match their daily specials - for us it was the Kusshi (our favourite!!), Fanny Bay and Acadian Gold. Would definitely be back!!

The oysters and seafood were fresh and yummy, and the service was good. Everyone working there was also polite and helpful despite how busy it was. The main issue we had was with how reservations were handled; we completely understand that on busy nights/special occasions like Fathers Day, restaurants are slammed and things get hectic. However, we had reservations for 6pm, only to get there to have to line up and be put on a waiting list, then eventually seated half an hour later. This might be understandable if it was a one-off situation, but this was the case for multiple groups with reservations. It seems like the issue could be resolved by setting time limits for prior groups (especially walk-in groupsor by restricting the number of reservations taken. Even pre-warning guests that this could happen would have been better than the chaos that we experienced at the front door when we arrived. We ultimately enjoyed our meal, though, and we would go back (but on a regular night only)!

We had a great time when we had lunch here. We tried their oysters that day. I believe they offer different specials. We also had their clam chowder- I was expecting more (taste wisebut its not bad, their pasta and salmon are both must-tries. We will surely come back.

Everything we ordered was beyond our expectations! The white wine garlic sauce for the mussels, seafood stew, and the fresh oysters were so incredible. Were very satisfied and will definitely go back soon again!

I was pleasantly surprised to find this place in Scarborough. Their menu is extensive and offers wide variety of seafood and drinks. The pasta tastes fresh and house made black pepper is delightful. I got to try a nice Ontario Riesling. The service was great. The outdoor patio gets a bit noisy as its off a busy street but theres ample shading and barriers

Oyster is very fresh and opened properly.The horseradish is fresh as well.Sea bass is a must try. Crispy on the outside and buttery inside.Seafood stew is also very good but u have to dig in with your hands to get that meat from crab leg.The lamb rack we ask for medium rare and were cooked to perfection.Price is above average , but portion is generous as well so it can justify.Overall a very nice dinner and service is top notch.

We came for the oysters which were fresh and delicious. You can get sick of oysters fairly quickly so make sure you dont order too much at once. Also, their oyster special requires at least one appetizer so keep that in mind. The staff were friendly and the place was clean.

Fresh seafood, lamb steak, fried rice, and vegetables were all so delicious!

Update on May 18, 2022:Still one of my favorite places to go to for a good seafood meal!My old colleagues & I went on a Tuesday evening for buck a shuck oysters (valid with purchase of any menu item excluding drinks and sidesmalpeques or lucky 88s. We started off with 2 dozen malpeques. They didnt have any 88s that evening which was fine with me because I had it last time & wasnt a fan. The shucking was done so well, the oysters was clean, fresh & tasted like the sea!Next, we ordered the appetizer platter for 2 which comes with crab cake, grilled calamari, grilled octopus, seared tuna, smoked salmon & shrimp. This was ok. Everything tasted fine however the tuna was mediocre. I also wished that it was 2 crab cakes since it was mini instead of giving us just one mini cut in half to share.Lastly, we each ordered a main. My friends had the seafood stew and clam linguini which they said was delicious. I ordered the mushroom & leek carbonara. The menu didnt mention it being topped with a poached egg so that was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed this pasta dish.Even though it was busy, the server was attentive when we needed him to be & we didnt get pushed out as we were there from 5:45-10 p.m. catching up while slowly getting through our meal.Previous update:Love that they have different oyster specials almost every day! We went to their Scarborough location on a Wednesday when they had $50 for 50 malpeques or Lucky 88. One is an East coast oyster & the Lucky 88 is Dianas Seafood own oysters which they farm on the West coast. I am only a fan of East coast oysters. They are saltier & very fresh tasting. It tastes like the ocean to me.Dianas was pretty busy that night so their shucking was a bit slow but the attention & kindness of the servers make up for it.

Really enjoyed all the food we ordered and the servers were very nice. They had their malpeque for $1 each which was great and they were shucked very well. Their selection of other oysters was also very good and decently priced. Our appetizers were delicious, especially the platter for two. My favorite was the grilled calamari and octopus!

Was craving oysters, so we definitely had to go to Dianas. The oysters were amazing 👏 😋. Definitely recommend this spot for oysters. Wasnt too big of a fan of our server, his hands were on the rim of our glass for our drinks.

Menu has good options with delicious seafood dishes. Crab cakes is very tasty and main dishes had really good portion size.

The oysters are very fresh and excellent quality even if on the pricy side at regular price. They have discount days so check their prices!We also had the seafood platter for two and we really liked the quality of the fish. It was all very fresh but we found it a bit bland. For a similar price, you can get a much better portion of way better seasoned and spiced lobster nearby.

Some restaurants dont need an introduction, but for those who have never been to Dianas Oyster Bar and Grill, highly recommend a visit! They have two locations, one in Scarborough and one in Markham! Excellent quality and fresh seafood! We had 1a selection of east coast oysters, 2seafood pasta (shrimp, lobster and crab), 3grilled salmon (a classic!). In my second visit, I got the 1seafood pasta and bpaella. Third visit 3New Zealand rack of lamb! Wow, all delicious. Its one of the best seafood restaurant in Toronto with a diverse and attractive menua of different type of fish, crabs and oysters. Vwry nice and attractive environment, really delicious dessert. And the quality of their meals are very good. i just gave 4stars because most of the time they dont have some foods on weekend. Weekdays might be better.

Diana’s oyster bar is the place that I go to for oyster fixes, I have not been until today because of pandemic. I had the Fanny Bay today, fresh, chilled, refreshing, and filling. See the photos how robust they are. Only 2$ each, amazing value. The chowder was not up to standard, thickened by starch instead of rich cream, it is more like a potato seafood soup, disappointing. I am so happy that you carry Guiness Stouts on draft. Service was attentive and efficient, friendly. Full Covid-19’s protocol is in place, you must be fully vaccinated to enter. I recommend, beats paying parking downtown.

$1 malpeque oysters - creamy and salty. Better than other seafood restaurants - Maybe its the way they shuck or handle them? But our group found that the oysters were better here.Excellent service. Tagliatelle pasta was delicious as well.

Had dinner when they had $1 Malpeque oysters all night and shared their seafood platter for two. Better fit for 3 people. Good food, fast service! Would come again when Im craving fresh seafood and variety of oysters 😋

Celebrating our anniversary and what better place to celebrate it then to have dinner at Dianas Oyster Bar. We always purchased purchased oysters to eat at home so we decided have dinner here on this special occasion. We ordered clam chowder, seafood stew and the seafood mixed grill. First and the most important Fanny Bay oysters to start... The service was great and the food came in a timely manner. For us being Chinese and the style of Chinese seafood cooking we was a bit disappointed. The clam chowder we would have thought would be creamy but this version was not. The seafood stew almost everything was fresh but the lobster tail we knew was not fresh or maybe the frozen kind. The seafood mixed grill had fresh salmon, shrimps and scallops... the fried rice was a bit on the salty side. Our overall experience was that we enjoyed ourselves, it was a great atmosphere and we also enjoyed the sunset during our meal.. we had not had a special dinner like this for over a year and a half since covid started. This meal will not affect us from buying more oysters from Dianas in the future...

Good option for oysters (or seafood in generalin Scarborough area!Came here for dinner on a Monday night to try out their oysters. Whats great about this restaurant is they have their buck a shuck everyday. Other places have a set day where its available. Note that only the Malpeque Oysters is available.For the food, we ordered the Clam Chowder and Crab Cakes for appetizer. The Clam Chowder was good, but I feel that it was a bit watery and not creamy. I am no Clam Chowder connoisseur, but most that Ive tried is more creamy than the one I had here. Flavour wise, the clam seemed fresh and theres lots of ingredients. For the Crab Cakes, I enjoyed it. It was a typical crab cake and cant go wrong with it.For the main dish we got the Tagliatelle. This dish was really good. The gave a good portion of Lobster, Crab and Shrimp. The pasta itself was cooked nicely. The saffron cream sauce was also perfect, flavourful and the creaminess was just right.Now for the oysters, the Fanny Bay was my favourite. Liked the size and texture of it. The Kusshi was my next favourite. Maybe the West Coast is the best coast after all. The Malpeque is similar to other buck a shuck oysters youd get elsewhere so no further comment there.The staff was really friendly and accommodating. We didnt have reservations but luckily they had a seat available and we didnt wait at all. The staff explained where the oysters are from and recommended us what to try. The only downside I can say is that the food took longer to come than expected. The place wasnt busy (if it was, I can understandand it still took a bit of time for the oysters to come. At other places, they come quick (and usually packed because buck a shuck is a certain day and usually people come for that reason). This is why I gave 4 star.If you made it this far, then overall, I still recommend you to try this place if you have a random oyster craving. They have buck a shuck option available any day.

The oysters were very fresh and an amazing price! Malpeques are buck-a-shuck and $26/dozen for Kusshi, Fanny Bay, or Acadian Gold with purchase of an appetizer. Oysters come with a great selection of sauces as well. Crab cakes were delicious but very filling for only 2 pieces! Recommend it be shared.

Love this place the best seafood by far! Super fresh and cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place if you want a nice night out.Service was fantastic as well as the server walked us through the oyster menu (we have never tried oysters beforeand provided great recommendations.

However, trust me, if you haven’t been to Diana’s Oyster Bar and Grill you are missing out!Do yourself a favour and visit immediately.Everything that we have ever had on our numerous visits has been OUTSTANDING!Their oysters are spectacular and with a huge variety.Their menu items are each masterfully done. I recommend the seafood stew.If I could give a restaurant more stars I would. Amazing each and every time!

Great seafood restaurant with many oyster options. They have regular promo days where you can get $1 malpeque oysters and other oyster discount as well, but youll have to buy at least an appetizer with it (+$12). I ordered a appetizer plater for about $40 last time I was there and it was great. You get to try a couple of different options while waiting for the oysters. There are also many pasta and seafood dishes but I have not had a chance to try them. Will definitely try next time.

A dollar for each oyster if we pay for an appetizer. There are obviously other types of oysters you can order but they are more expensive so we just got the cheapest ones. The appetizers (all about 20ish dollarswere kind of pricey but, all in all, a very good deal. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!

My sister and I had lunch here on a Thursday and we were served by Paul! I really enjoyed it because there were only 3 tables occupied at that time so the service was very prompt and awesome! It is my first time coming to the restaurant and the setting is really nice! You can see the variety of oysters behind the bar. Weve tried almost all of the oysters they offered and the Lucky Lime oysters and clams were the best (IMO)! I learnt the difference in the taste and texture of the pricier oysters versus the malpeque oysters. This is a very cute restaurant especially if you are going for a romantic date! The other reviews re: the price are true. This restaurant is really on the pricier side $$$ but you really get what you pay for. I love oysters and this is the only reason id come here lol We had the crab cake for appetizer and there were two of them, perfect for me and my sister! It was delicious! I wish I took a picture but it was so good we devoured it fast. Anyways, if you come to Scarborough and see the ship looking restaurant, you better try this or you are missing out!

Service was slow and seemed disorganized from the jump. We ordered our and the food came out totally out of order. Got my appetizer last… don’t order the shrimp cocktail because it’s literally 3 shrimp in a cup and it was $19. I can’t justify that price. We got the paella for $42 but I don’t understand why it was so expensive… I should have gotten steak or ribs instead for that price. The oysters were very good tho, we got the $1 special and that was definitely worth it. Idk if I would come back… but the oysters were fresh.

Very disappointed on the food. The lobster in the stew was old and the shellfish tasted funny. The linguine clam pasta was ok and the oysters are delicious drive 2 hours just to feel unappreciated and felt uncomfortable with my two children customer service was unprofessional and uncomfortable to deal with. I would give it one star for the oysters. And the price was ridiculous I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not worth it!

Step 1 of Ontarios reopening plan. Patios open. Spent a wonderful afternoon, celebrating my birthday with fam bam. Foods were so delicious and the oysters were so ever fresh. I wanted more but... foods must be taken in moderation 😉. It was a windy day, suns bright. I love this place, we even spent my moms birthday here last yr. Will plan for this yr too. Its a cozy place, and the price is not so cheap nor expensive. Open menu, so they have most of their yummy foods ready to be ordered.
