Fantastic service and food

The steak pie with red wine jus had tender steak and wonderful flavour.

The food was great 👍 lovely service!

I dont often review places, but we love this place. The rooms are comfortable, the owner is lovely and the meals are amazing. Highly recommend.PS: only 20 minutes from Halls Gap.

Nice and cosy atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Food was great, we had entree dumplings and spring rolls, chicken Caesar salad and stuffed chicken main and a desert. Everything was delicious. Can only recommend, thank you for a nice meal out, will come back if we are in the area again!

Warm and welcoming at Diamond house motel. Packing a daughter to move interstate has been a tough job but I know at the end of the day there is an amazing shower, good food and smiling faces. Comfy bed, plenty of room, good lighting. Im very grateful to Diamond in assisting us to.make an ardious job more pleasant.. Yes this is the place to stay in Stawell..

We had just a one night stay over, room was clean and the electric blanket was just what we needed on a chilly evening, food in the restaurant was excellent also good value and great service, we’ll definitely come back another time.

Horrible experience, the manager is an arrogant disrespectful human. Would not recommend to anyone, it seems like the problem is always the customer or you try to brush it off and claim the person never stayed there. Just look at all the other reviews.your argumentative and claim it’s never your fault. The way I was spoken to on the phone today was disgusting to say the very least.False Credit card? Are you kidding me? How dare you even imply that. The error was on your end and booking.com has already credited me( I use there service 290plus times a yearyou are disgusting , just look at the way you talk to people.

You SHOULD NOT be working in customer service let alone be allowed to talk to other peer, your disrespectful, rude and plain annoying to talk to. Learn some respect and than try run your business a little better. I see nothing but poverty for you sir.

Nice and traditional interior design, give you a different vibe while dining.

Hotel is pretty run down. Cleanliness is substandard. Tables and chairs feels sticky. The door needs to be slammed closed and pushed hard to open, owing to expansion /contraction of the timber. I wont be coming back ever.

Easily one of the best bourgignons Ive ever tasted. 10/10 off the charts good. Sensational. Highly recommended!

Easter Weekend is massive for Stawell. I was disgusted at how dusty and un-clean the beds and carpet was. The room hadnt been opened since last Easter Im sure if it!? The bed spreeds where from the 80s. They where well Worn in?? Tbh they needed replacing 20 years ago? It was so bad.I was affended they where worried we would smoke in the room!? It Wouldnt have made any difference!?No Idea! 🤔

Older style budget motel with good hosts. Rooms are clean and tidy. Ground floor room suffer from creaking floorboards from the rooms above. Didnt keep us awake so not really an issue for us. Restaurant was excellent with live blues music, which apparently happens on e a month on a Saturday night.

If I could rate zero stars I would. I booked a week in advance, and they decided to tell me via email the night before at 7 pm that my card had been declined and I had 24 hours to rectify. I then emailed them to inform them that I had added the funds into my card and if there were any issues to call me in the morning. At 7 am I received an email saying my booking had been cancelled. I was calling them to no avail when I eventually got through at 10 am trying to resolve the issue. The person on the phone was extremely rude and told me that theyd already re booked the room. Very disappointed.

This place appears pretty unassuming from the outside but was consistently recommended.I can honestly say this was quite easily one of the best steaks I have eaten. The website is modest compared to the quality coming out the kitchen!Downright delicious, brilliant work.

This place is a gorgeous quirky little gem which makes it worth the visit alone. Its exquisite food and wonderful friendly and helpful customer service more than sweetens the package.Have enjoyed their steak previously cooked perfectly to my request. This evening I chose the Kangaroo which was divinely cooked and served as a luxuriously soft vessel to deliver the deliciously aromatic "Bush Dust" rub.Highly recommended

Room was tidy and neat, perfect stop off point on a Friday night from our drive from Melbourne to Barossa.Didnt get to meet Dave, who was the main reason we chose to stay. Restaurant was shut due to a Blues event, despite being advertised as being open till 10:30pm and no one was on reception when we tried to check out at 7:45am, despite being advertised as being open at 7:30am. Also the bed was a bit soft and a microwave in the room would have been beneficial.Still, for $80 odd a night you cant complain and would have no issue staying here again!

Great tunes, delicious rub on kangaroo but mash was cold.

Place was nice food and drinks at motel and easy walk to train station public is friendly price for. Night was great easy on pocket love come back again owners was great and friendly to customer

Beautiful restraunt, great service and lovely staff.

Evening meal at Diamond House was excellent as always. Group of 4 ladies very satisfied with Davids and Bens hospitality. Wood fire provided comfort. I chose chicken and leek pie. Bigger than I expected. Pie wrapped in Philo pastry, served with mashed potato, cauliflower and green beans. Also chosen were pork belly, lamb and rosemary pie, salmon . Everyone delighted with their choices. Desserts chosen were sticky date pudding - delicious, and chocolate pot - rich and smooth. Drinks - beer, wines, coffee. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Unusual motel very friendly staff had a great meal here enjoyable stay

The restaurant was quite dirty (inc dead insects on platesand the food very bland. I wouldnt recommend this place.

Clean .. big rooms and comfirtable. AC not working as a heater ... if u have long hair bring ur conditioner with u or u will not brush ur hair .. no microwave to heat ur food ..but other things are available .. hot water is working very well .. electric blanket also provided .. staff not so friendly or welcoming persons... for me Ill not back again

Second visit to Diamond House Heritage Restaurant. Enjoyed the food and hospitality first time, so needed to do it again. As usual the food was excellent as was the service.

Wonderful place to eat and to have a function. Intimate, cosy setting with immaculate presentation (sparkling clean glasses and tablewareand prompt, quick service. The hosts David and Ben are fabulous, and great to have a yarn with. Friendly, welcoming environment and fabulous home made food! Meals are served quickly and spot on. Thanks guys!
