Very beautiful location. Also a very nice and interesting visitors center. In the back there is a little cafe.
We arrived 2 pm mid week (perfect timing always in Toursitic places no visitors but us , amazing placeAfter visiting the village buildings we went behind it to see the source of natural water spring , and had a cup of tea there ( they offer traditional dishes if you contact them before coming )The farm was a nice experience with Abdalrahman the farmer he is also the grandson of the owners of the farm 150 years ago ( we communicate in Arabic you will find his phone number near the tea placeMake sure you have an interpreter before arriving or use google translate 😅Overall I loved spending the time over thereDefinitely worth visiting
Great place to visit and see. Can be more interesting if they actually use the interior for events and catering.
The staff there is very friendly. I took my small puppy (toy breedwith me and they allowed him inside. They didnt raise any eyebrows. Very helpful staff
Thee Ain is… monumental! The drive from Al Baha is spectacular also. Getting to Thee Ain in the late afternoon allows for some breath taking scenery as the sun goes down. Thee Ain has probably been restored many times, but it’s scale and authenticity is amazing. Tickets were not required. A free attraction.
I recommend everyone to visit. And if you are coming for picnic that would be awesome.
One of best place to visit and you can be refreshed to see yourself by finding a natural water stream flowing from the top of the hills behind the castle
Good place to spent time with family. Must see falls from the mountain behind the fort. Nice green gardens. Banana trees. U can purchase bananas and vegetables there. Masjid and Rest space, parking available. Visit early morning or after 3pm to protect from direct sun
The village is characterized by houses built from polished stones and dating back to the 8th century.
Beautiful place to visit. Amazing surrounded with farming and very friendly staff. There is a water spring runs all year round. Visit the museum inside and the staff will give you detailed information about the history of the place. Unfortunately the village was under restoration so we couldnt go inside, however the view from is great. I recommend the visit
Well kept secret of Saudi Arabia. Can spend a day exploring Al-Baha and Thee-Ain village. But expected better tourist support like a board that could tell us more about its history, about architecture or have a local guide etc. But, in any way, I liked my visit.
Good place to visit, Better to visit during winter time, During hot sunny day it would be difficult to climb till top of the village, but once climbed you will experience beautifully view of landscapes, Adjacent to village there is artificial water falls and huge trees which mimics forest.Definitely worth visiting at least once.
Nice place to experience some ancient architecture and water sounds between the mountains in a quick break while driving to or from Albaha
Beautiful heritage village to visit and explore, the drive from baha to the village is also very scenic... there is no entry fees n lots of parking space... but make sure to carry water & juices as there are no shops there...
Nice place but could not find any historical facts mentioned on the site. There is a small waterfall and children enjoyed it. The day we went it was very humid and the only respite was a small cafeteria selling tea and soft drinks.
Its a historical place about half hour drive from Al Baha. The road to Thee Ain is very adventurous with 25 tunnels through the mountains. You will find some view points where you can spot baboons who are really anxious for food, but there are signs which say not to feed them. The drive is safe which goes down the mountains. There is a nice park there, with children play area, washrooms and picnic shades.Carry your water bottles while going up the village trek and wear comfy walking shoes. The weather can be very hot so plan to go early morning or late evening. The village itself is very interesting with marble floors. The houses are all abandoned we can try looking inside but its really dark inside even during the day time. Keep a torch if you want to explore. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs too.
The place still under maintenance but can be enjoyable. It could be small version fo Rijal Almaa
Our family had a marvellous time exploring the village and would highly recommend it to everyone. The architecture and construction of this 1000 year old village was fascinating.
Very beautiful place to visit if you’ll be in Baha. But you have to know that the road to the village is serpentine, and the village is down the mountains, so the weather is hot, I didn’t expected that, hotter than Baha.
Thee Ain Ancient Village is a interesting place to visit in Al Baha district.
It is a very interesting building, although it is a historical place, it has not received the necessary attention. The lighting is poor and a little dirty.
One of the place to see in KSA, no tickets was required... Well maintained area.... All the staffs are friendly....
Thee Ain Ancient VillageApprox 30km before AlBaha city, one can see a well preserved & unique heritage village surrounded by Mountains in Makhwah city. The village dates back about 400 years. There are 49 houses of 2/3/4 floorings with wooden gates & windows. The houses of the village itself are not made of marble, but of flake stones and slate. Structures are roofed using cedar wood. There is ample parking space and a garden too. No ticket to visit the site. Keep a water bottle or juices with you while climbing up.
It was a superb experience for us when we are visit the Thee Ain Ancient Village - Al Bhaha. We are visiting this place after a long time drive from Abha. So amazing the view from the top of the Ancient Castle. And not good weather when we are there for chilling with our friends or family if you are planning a vacation. We would like to or want to try to transfer from Riyadh to Abha. Because we all are like this beautiful place. If would you like to go there I think in the morning or in the evening times are the best experience. Because in the daytime its difficult to go upstairs in hot weather and. Sure if you are in Saudi Arabia, should go there for a visit for at least two days of exploration. I am sure you like this place without any bad experiences. There is no ticket counter and no more waiting at the time when we are going there.
Its around 45-60 minutes drive from Al Bahah. The road descends all the way from Al Bahah to Ain village with multiple tunnels about 23 tunnelsWe enjoyed the driveThe road is single so be cautious. The village is well maintained and it has very beautifulYou can climb up the village and enjoy the views all aroundm.
Placed between Al Baha and Makhwa, one of the best places to be visited whenever you’re there, very close to Shada mountain which is another natural reserve and getaway at the same time…the weather is different story 😍don’t miss it
Going there you will pass 25 tunnels.. Along the road theres a spot that you could stop by and take a picture. . Its a good place to visit.. Enjoy the trails..

Its constructed in the middle of the mountains with some greenery around. before climbing up, go around the places at the ground level as youll find the beautiful greenery and water gushing out of a small spring.
Amazing place to visit in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its one of a kind place which brings you back centuries ago. The location is very good and easy to access. The heritage park information center has a great modern park with ample parking spaces. The trail are very nice and organized, also it very safe and family friendly. I suggest you should come to the village during winter time of the year in Baha (november to marchtime because the weather there down the village will not be as Humid as Summer time.Prepare your Sunblock, phone battery and and your knees to climb flight of stairs up to the top.I think this village is bigger than rojal alma of Abha. It is well preserved, the marbles and other types of stones you can find. The fruit bearing trees beside the village were flourishing. Even the water irrigations are continuous.“The village dates back about 400 years, and it witnessed the battles between the Ottoman Turks and its inhabitants.”
A great historical place, if you are interested in history must add this place to your Al Bahah tour.Route from Al Bahah to Al Ain ancient village is all on the mountains need full attention of driver, there are some view points also you can spent some moments there as well. There are total 25 tunnels in the way.To visit the ancient village best time is the sunrise time as its a hot area as the day rises it will cause you more sweat 😅.Or better to visit after 3pm.Dont take any extra thing in your hands just a lot of water, but be aware rest rooms are only in the park area 🤭😄When youll go up the slope the first stairs you see will only take you to the top. Rest of the stairs ended after sometime. There is no entrance to the farm area and its not allowed to enter it, you can only see it from the top.If you go to the end from where you started you can see the water flowing down to the farm the way they built the passage of water.
Great place to add to your list of places to explore here in Saudi Arabia particularly Al Baha. Be sure to visit Marble village during cold season because its really hot here. You need a good pair of shoes to explore the area and go up the hills. There is a park beside the area where you can eat your packed food. No nearby store. Entrance is free.
Its around 40 minutes drive from Al Bahah city. The road descends all the way from Al Bahah to Ain village with multiple tunnels. We enjoyed the drive because the weather was nice and clouds were crossing over the road. The road is single so be cautious. The village is well maintained and it has very beautiful landscape around. You can climb up the village and enjoy the views all around. The weather was hotter compared to Al Bahah.Dont miss this place if you are visiting Al Bahah.
It was mesmerising, so beautiful and very huge. Just saw a small part of it,had to walk upstairs and the weather was so hot so we couldnt see all parts of the fort.
If youre visiting Al Baha, this place is worth a visit. This is an ancient village very well preserved by the govt. Renovation works are still in progress. There is no entry fee. Better visit during evening hours when the temp is low. You need to walk and climb a lot to view this place fully. There is a farm in front of this. Also, if you are lucky, you can see a water stream on the right side. Restroom and parking space is available now.
Very unique place - definitely worth the visit. Also has very clean park for families and seating area with toilets. Though no shops at the site.
Had a great birthday celebration with a tour of the marble village and sumptuous snacks/dinner at the farm just behind it. A must visit for people with a sense of adventure and love for nature and historic places!
Visiting to Thee Ain Ancient Village is a life time experience. Experiencing the real life Castle in the middle East is awesome as well as the travel experienced.
This was an excellent place to explore as a family. We spent around an hour looking through the buildings. There were some bats living inside one of the hoyses that surprised us but we enjoyed seeing them as well. There is a new park area at the bottom of the site with public toilets and play areas.
Amazing heritage village renovated and maintained in pretty good condition. Best time recommended to go in the winter or else the temperature will be 40 to 43 degrees. There is a park also in front and a small water fall on the back side
Great heritage village with nice views and in pretty good condition. Recommend to go in the winter as it was 40c this past weekend. Best part is the cool green area with a waterfall in the back. Oh, they wont let you in past sunset but as long as your inside before they wont bother you. ✌🏼
Amazing place. Visit during early hours or in the evening, as it can be quiet hot during the noon.Need to climb many steps to reach the top but the views are amazing. The architecture of those times is stunning.
Enjoyed the ride from Albahah to ain village. Albahah is on the top of the mountain and this village at the bottom. On top temperature was 16C and at bottom was 28C. Beautifully managed place. I recommend it.
It is stunning very beautiful one problem is temperature here so please check it before going there in winter when I go there it 35 degrees C. It has nice small water source which feed the garden beneath the village
