Was in the area & popped in for lunch. I was the only person there other than the person at the counter, so I wondered how it would be! But I got the #4 Bahn mi and it was very good. :Bread was warmed, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The veggies were fresh & crisp, and there was enough sauce/dressing without being soggy. Very nicely spiced. I wish I had been hungrier, so I would have tried a larger meal. Looks like there isnt dine-in yet, and the server was masked, which I do appreciate. Ill be coming back when Im nearby!

Not sure how this place has such a high rating but tried atleast 4 dishes and everything was mediocre at best flavor wise.

Got their ham banh mi. The bun was nice and fresh with a crisp exterior and soft fluffy interior. Ingredients inside the bun also tasted fresh. Almost didnt taste vegan to me. Would visit again if I was in the mood for vegan banh mi.

Had the #4 Banh Mi and wow it was so good. I love options with vegetarian meat since so many places just sub tofu for meat! (i also love tofu but it’s even better to have variety!!!)The sauce was delicious and the pickled veggies were perfect tasted just like I had in Vietnam.100% so excited to come back and try new things. Hope they do dine in soon as I would love to come with a few friends even though it’s a small location.Woman who served me was also very sweet!

Today I was looking for a light vegetarian snack, so I thought Id try the Sub Veggie Special Ham (#3sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised to find its a warm sub with cilantro for greens! The bread is really nice. Its toasted nicely on the outside and soft on the inside. The dressing is lightly tangy. All the veges, the vege ham, dressing, and bun work very well together.For a meal, I would add a soup next time.Id also like to mention on my first visit, I tried the Veggie Salad Rolls (#9). They have a nice fresh clean taste :)

Yummy vegan bahn mi. Its quite tasty. The dining enviroment is not very welcoming due to COVID, but its worth the visit for the flavor.I also bought veggie ham.

Delicious but barely any toppings. With the recent increase to $14 a bowl, it almost doesnt seem worth it to eat mostly noodles. Having said that, the soup base is legit.

Whoever was serving me had no please or thank yous. Actually she just nodded her head and walked away after I ordered. Soup for the pho is fridge-temperature cold. Can you imagine? Absolutely not going back anytime soon. It happened today on Aug 28, 2021.

Another hidden gem in Vancouver, recommended by a friend so drove back to Surrey today and ordered some dinner. Business is run by a very friendly Vietnamese women. Her vegetarian salad rolls are unbelievable and the spicy pho was on point a must try, it will certainly have me coming back for future visits!

Im not vegetarian and I really like the food here = great. Casual place: order at the counter and get your own tea and cutlery. Very friendly. Fresh - they grown a lot of the herbs in the garden outside. Have been back many times. Great place for vegetarians to bring non vegetarian friends.

I decided to try this restaurant for the first time. The place is small and is ideal for take out. I called to order their Veggie Pho and Veggie Salad Roll for pick up. The soup was flavourful, the veggies were very fresh, and quantity was satisfying. Prices are a bit costly compared to other places BUT you could tell the difference and so very reasonable .Take note, they dont put MSG which is a plus +++

Delicious Vegetarian Vietnamese food!...im so happy i found this place!! I tried #3 & #4 banh mi sandwiches both were yummy...also #6 veggie pho which was perfectly seasoned and #13 which was super satisfying....its takeout only and everything was packed nicely and the portions were a good amount and its reasonably priced...Everything was fresh and im amazed how each type of veggie meat tastes different! The ladies who work here are really sweet and helpful...highly recommend this place for quick comfort food!

All Vegan. Very tasty. Well priced. Very polite staff. My understanding is that the local Buddhist☸ Temple owns it and the staff are Buddhist nuns. Highly recommend.

Tried the #6 Pho for takeout - as a recent reviewer mentioned, the prices have gone up (I paid $11.25 I believe). I still consider it a fair price given the portion that was provided. The broth is very flavourful (I personally love the mushroom notesbut is too greasy (heavy oil film on the surface), especially for a vegetarian/"healthier" option. The amount of tofu/vegetarian meat was fair but heavier on the noodle ratio.Service-wise: It felt like I was inconveniencing the shop when calling in and later having to pay debit (they just handed me my order and left me alone without a word to deal with the machine- perhaps they werent having the best day, but it felt like they couldnt care less for my business.

Ive only tried the banh mi so far...but what I had was super tasty. I would like to have a bit more of the meat in the sub, but overall everything was fresh and delicious! I cant wait to try the pho and noodles. They were not super busy when I went to grab a late lunch, and service was quick and friendly.

We went there today for afternoon meal but noticed that they only offered take out. The staff missed counted the price and end up charging me 90 cents more. I told her that the GST is only 5% and she answered me that she didn’t know. She turned me 80 cents and I didn’t know how he calculated the price. Maybe she didn’t have enough change for me. It’ been a while for me to be there since last visit. I noticed that their price for the Pho has again increased. The price was 11.25 now but I feel it was not worth it for having a Pho noddle with a cold soup form the fridge. The green bean sprouts and basils were cold too. The soup was too oily that not tasted as good as before.Finally, they didn’t provide me utensils unless I requested. Worst experience for ever in the place.

UPDATE: Covid might be closed or only take out.Bad thing about this place is its getting too popular!!!This is a gem of a find!!!!! AND Im not kidding at all.Vietnamese place that only has vegetarian and vegan options. How cool is that.....They have different kinds of veggies and stuff of vegetarians to choose from.THE FOOD EVEN TASTES GOOD! Coming back to this place now instead of The One.They have free tea and hot water dispensers. They also sell pre-homemade stuff in their fridge. I probably will buy their stuff soon.Clean place and I hope the keep it that way. No grime or dust. Therefore I conclude that this place is new.Over heared a mid-caucasian father bringing in 2 kids saying that this is their favourite place. Mind blown.Now theres 2 families I see right now getting food. Weee!-1 🌟 for the smell!!!! Could you please please put some candles or something to take off the chlorine smell out. I know its a clean place but it deterred me from my first experience. But after I tasted their food, I forgave them.+1 🌟 The less people who come here the quieter place for me 5to enjoy my food here!!!

This is my go-to place for vegetarian Vietnamese food. I dont live nearby so when I go into Vancouver I add a stop here to the schedule. Tasty sandwiches and the spicy soup is delicious. Its on my list of comfort food.

Always perfect Vietnamese An Chay (vegetarian foodwith lovely people working there. I was in Vietnam less than a year ago and it was so delicious. This place has all the perfect flavours of vietnam and is priced so reasonably. Get the Banh Mi Pha Lau and the Bi Cuon!

If you are looking for a quick guilt free meal, this is it. Veggie sub is only $4. Noodle soups, fresh rolls, rice plate are only $9.50 each. This Vietnamese Buddhist style vegetarian food is delicious. There is even fresh limes, and fresh HOT pepper slices on the left side of the counter for you. The menu is in English and Vietnamese. The deli is casual self-serve. Yes, there are 8 parking stalls at the back. One quick note, I think, it is cash only.

This is a self served type of restaurant. Limited seating but the food is very good. Its vegetarian and soup is tasty, there are the usual processed vegie meat and seafood. Lots of fresh herbs and vegie. Price is reasonable and portion is decent. Parking can be challenging since there are limited free parking near by. Cash only place as well. Otherwise its a solid 4 stars rating based on taste of food.

This is one of my best favour veggie pho to go to. You must try their signature veggie Pho. All their soup are cooked daily without MSG (very importantand their Sub was one of the best in Town. Their fish spicy soup is also my favour as well. Long story short, you won’t go wrong to dine in this store. Highly recommended!!

Quick, flavorful, cheap dinner.We ordered for takeout. Theres no menu online and they know only the numbers so I have posted a menu photo so you know what they are.We ordered a number 7... Veggie ham bun and a number 3... Hot and spicy soupThey were both Amazing, 2 soups and one bun cost $24.25 total

Very good vegetarian food, noodles or Asian sandwiches. A little unique table service and small restaurant but definitely recommend to try. This place will never disappoint, but parkings a little rough. Two spots at back and Kingsway street parking.

Best Veggie Pho. I have been to lots of other vegetarian places that sell vegetarian Pho and its either too bland or way too much noodles.I love the sweetness of the veggie broth and variety of veggies and extras like tofu and cha(veggie meat). Their com ba mau is also good but I usually go here when I have a pho craving. The place is run more like in a self serve fashion so you get your food on a tray then bring it back to the table. I think the proceeds goes to the nunnery upstairs so I always remember temple food is the best food.

My favorite Vietnamese pho and noodle soup place!Since I dont eat meat anymore, this is as close as you can get to real authentic Vietnamese food. Whats also a plus is that they have pre-cooked ready made dishes to take home for ppl like me who dont usually really like to cook too.They also have many other Vietnamese favorite dishes of mine too. Highly recommend this place if you want want to try authentic Vietnamese vegetarian food!

Honestly, my favourite and go-to veggie pho place in Metro Vancouver! The broth is amazing and super flavourful. Portions are big and filling. The restaurant is owned by a few monks and a vietnamese family it seems. I only recommend this place if you are okay with "cafeteria style" dining. There is no table side service, and all cutlery are to-go packaged.

I love this place! The subs are so fresh and delicious. Filling too. Its a vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant serving fast food. The women who work there are soft spoken and nice. The place is cozy and has some nice artwork and Buddhist paraphernalia. Their pho with the imitation meats isnt too great but their sandwiches are top notch.

Great vegetarian food that we come by every month to eat. Clean and fresh taste. Highly recommend for non-vegetarian people too.

Best pho around! Delicious vegan food

I found this restaurant when searching for a vegan and vegetarian option for some friends. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The spring rolls are hand made to order and had a great flavour to them. The portion sizes are large and the prices very reasonable. They only take debit and cash.

I love this place! The Vietnamese vegan subs are amazing and the people here are genuine. The store is part of the buddist temple and are a non profit. I wish this place was closer to downtown. Definately recommend. You can also buy refrigerated items for home use.

I come here at least a couple of times a week if not more. The menu is simple, the food is amazing. East van is killing it with the Vegan Vietnamese food restaurants. I live super close so most of the time I walk here. Super cheap and I feel like it gets better each time. I love ALL the Vietnamese vegan spots in Vancouver, but this is my favourite. Dont sleep on this place.

Small place with good eats. The food here is sold to help support the monks that live there. The food is really good. They serve hot food made when ordered. They also have premade that u can refrigerate. Those are also super tasty.
