Devil Burger in Queenstown

Came here for a quick lunch. Service was quick and the food was good. I liked the fireplace they have that you can sit by.

I loved *everything* about Devil Burger. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was lovely and the ambience, delightful. You could sit at the fireplace or a share counter or your own table. The burger selection was excellent and the service and their ordering system was fntastic. I recommend you eat here rather than at the overhyped and underwhelming competitor!

Our tour guide recommended us this Devil Burger at Church street, more popular for the locals so we went here for our dinner. The devils staircase was very good, I like the sause but dont know which sause they used. Can skip the long queue at ferg burger and give this devil a try, u wont regret it

I am sorry to say this tasted no better than something I would make at home. Stale thick buns, under flavoured and overcooked patty, the Devil Burger was not good. My 5 friends ordered a variety of beef and lamb burgers, and even the wrap. All had massive issues.Somehow this was recommended to me over Fergburger, I regret listening to that advice speaking frankly.I enjoyed the McSpicy from McDonald’s yesterday more.Gave two stars because it isn’t inedible. If you have taste, try something else please.

The food was amazing, the sauce/salsa they use is unique and SO GOOD! The service friendly, competent and helpful.

Their lamb burger was quite good, the loaded fries were okkaaaayyyy. I’d still prefer Ferg’s over Devil.

Keto friendly with lettice wrap option, sauces conveniently put to the side for self serve, quick service. Price range is similar to ferg burger but are not as good unfortunately. Consolation is onion rings are delish and crunchy, notch above ferg burg.

I really liked this place that cant wait to come back. No waiting lines!!!! Room to eat inside and lucky if you are next to the fire in a freezing day. I ate the venison hamburger and it was awesomeeeee!!! So yummy that I forgot to take a photo 😅

This place was a really nice surprise to find. I had heard about Devil Burger from some locals and it delivered! Burgers were large and super fresh, cooked to order and the fries were perfect. Definitely get the curry sauce fries. Will be a regular visit when in Queenstown!

Burgers are humongous and tasty. Careful, they close at 8pm but if you get ther at 7:50 they wont serve you. And if you try to tell them that it is not yet 8pm theyll just keep cleaning and very successfully ignore you.

I came here because the ratings were good and I had already had Fergburger twice. There was a bit of a wait for my food and they stopped taking orders a bit before their closing time so some people that didnt come early missed out. I preferred the original Fergburger over the Devil burger. The Devil burger was still good but I felt it was missing some flavour. The curry chips were so good though and could be shared. It was a lot of chips just for one person.

Wanted to try Fergburger but too busy so went to Devil Burger instead. OMG!! the burgers are amazing and chips crunchy and yummy. Will be going back tomorrow to get the burger again.. loved it

Understand why ferg is so popular if this is its best competition.Patties were so dry my jaw is sore and they were not seasoned well. Sauce was nowhere to be seen and even the bacon and cheese was bland. The onion rings and chips seemed like the cheapest frozen option at the supermarket and our chips were undercooked, soggy and not seasoned.Im a bit in shock that a burger with so many ingredients on it could taste so bland!My partner and I both couldnt get through more than half of our burgers before we walked out. Would not recommend.

This burger is every bit as good as fur g burger and in many ways, better. Id give these places a neck and neck tie. No town should have just one good burger, thatd good old. This town has 2 very good burgers and this one is one of the Co champions.

Believe it or not, there is more than one excellent burger place in QT! I think Devil Burger is awesome, no queues, quick service, nice eating area with roaring fire and delicious burgers. The guy who took my order was super helpful with my dietary needs too. Totally stuffed and satisfied with beer, burger and chips for $29!

Burgers to die for! I wish i had ordered the chips with curry sauce as they looked so good coming out, perfectly cooked burger with yummy sauce and not long wait times, it does close at 8pm so make sure you dont miss it!

The burger is very mediocre and dry (almost no sauce). Just tastes like a run of mill below average burger with dry meat patties in the devil burger (it looks better in my pic than IRL).The pros is that devil had no line and I only waited around 10 mins for a burger.I went in with an open mind since ferg line was crazy.

Very nice burger we enjoyed eating them down on by the lake with some tasty sides. we both had the munchys after our "cheese an crackers" everything I could ask for in a burger an not a stupid big line like fury burger we sore a dog waiting at the door also

Ferg burg had long waiting queues. This places food is just as good and seating available.A little different than ordinary burgers. So recommended.

When we arrived home with our Order, one of our Childrens burgers was missing. The mince patty in another burger was almost totally raw. We went there almost a year ago and were impressed. Im not sure what is going on now, but the family were left disappointed.

Found it to be very average Fergburger imitation. Total wait time when I went in evening was similar to Ferg yet there wasnt a order line (i ordered immediatelywhich was confusing. I had the standard Devil Burger with the recommended bacon add.

Was told we would only have to wait 20 ish minutes for our burger and ended up waiting an hour. Burger was very average and definitely not worth the wait and price, not to mention the snarky comment when we asked how long it’s gonna take after it had been 45mins. They were understaffed and I understand that but the service in general could of still been better.

Superb experience here. Delicious food within a huge menu selection and reasonablypriced. I had a dark knight venison burger and some cheesy fries which were delicious and extremely filling! Also some excellebt Macs apparition IPA on tap which was excellent. Staff were very friendly and professional. The venue itself has spacious seating with cozy heating so very good to eat in.

Best burger in Queenstown, hands down. Way better than Fergburger, in every way: service, taste, size, chips. Just look at that lettuce!Perfect marriage of textures and lovely juicy patty.And awesome staff, had a great chat about the season ahead and helped me out with transport.

First time here and will definitely be going back! Had the She Devil burger coz I love beetroot & egg on my burger. Good value for money, their regular sized burger is equivalent to a large size burger of others.

Its pretty obvious that I got my burger to take away haha thought it would be nice to tuck into it sitting on the waterfront. It was a nice day and it was great just sitting on the waterfront wall chomping down whilst also ignoring the scavengers. I also ordered chicken tenders which I didnt take a photo of (oopsand man were they hot?! So cautionary tale here: if youre into chilli then youll love the heat level but if youre a mild girl like myself then perhaps order a side that wont set your tongue and tonsils on fire. I probably shouldve asked about the heat level so that was my bad! I think I went for the Devil Burger with no red onion or Devil relish. Would I go back? I would. Great location and speedy service.

Their burgers was great tasting. My partner had the poison ivy and I had the Devil steak burger. They were both really good tasting with well balanced flavours, however the mushrooms on my Devil steak burger made the whole bun soggy as I had to get a takeaway. My partner loved his burger he said it was just a tad oily. Overall I would go back there but not for takeaway. I’d like to dine in once COVID passes.

Great burger selection but also offers other food items and a selection of beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. As my wife says I love my meat but I could barely eat my Devil burger.

The burgers here are always yum, I actually prefer them to Fergburger plus the service is much faster. The large burgers are pretty huge so may want to share!

Best burger place in Queenstown!Went here a couple of times now and every time they nail it. We go here with my partner and order one burger for both of us and some fries which is plenty enough. They have a large and interesting variety of burgers. None have disappointed so far and the chips are also really good, love their aioli.A burger and chips comes out to about $22 which is the same price as if you were to buy a share meal at McDonalds, but the food is so much better.Fergburger stuff is a bit too messy and greasy and you have to wait in a huge line. Go here instead

Pretty good! Food is decent and has its own flavour. The logo could be intriguing for some though.

Not sure where my original review went for this place when we visited about a month ago but rewriting it.Have tried both this place & Ferg’s & I prefer the burgers here. The bun is softer & more similar to an American style burger. Chips are also more like a thick cut chip & reminds me of the type you have at a local fish & chip shop back in Aus.This place is also a lot more inviting, you don’t have to wait in a crazy line & you can actually find comfortable seats/tables.Service was fast & friendly also.Totally agree with other locals who suggested to give this place a go & glad we did. Will definitely come back here next time I’m back.

Fast service no matter how busy they are. Youll never wait more than 15-20 minutes for food.Amazing staff with a fun vibe.They have huge portions for the price.You should definitely check this place out if your in town.Way better Than ferg burger in my opinion.Check it out!You wont be disappointed :)

Burgers are big, juicy and great taste. No long lines and decent atmosphere if you want to eat there with enough seating.

Our once in a life time visit. Amazing spot, Great burgers. Very tasty and flavour ful. The Man Killer was Awesome!!! And the Curry chips sauce is the best in whole wide world!! Great customer service. Thanks for the Sticker :-)

Since Fergburger is so crowded with people waiting in line, possibly a hundred, Devil Burger is our alternative. Its ok but not pretty special in deliciousness. The service is not good as well, as the waiter was impatient during our ordering. I do have the impression that most kiwis indeed have much more patience than Americans, but its not true here. I hope its just a single case. The way (still in Devil Burger premisewhich leads to restroom was not clean at all, its greasy and stained. Overall, the flavor of the burger is ok and you can try it if you are aiming for fast food, but there is no need to visit specially.

Devil Burger is better than the Fern burger. For one, you dont have to be a sheeple and wait an hour or more just for a burger. Devil Burger gets a great wrap from all the local tour guides. They quietly say go there, its actually better. Most people I have come across have said Devil Burger is better. So go Devil Burger. .

I have had better... fish is not as fresh as it could have been and beef is not as juicy and tasty as it could have been... price is not that cheap. $8.50 for a mid strength beer that tastes pretty bland

I really like this place! Obviously, many will compare this to Ferg, but I was told the locals would come here instead of Ferg. I tried their burger twice now. Their patties are not as juicy but they have an awesome selection of burgers and sides! I really love some of their flavours, which I thought suited Asian palate a lot. The curry cheese fries converted me here. Give it a go! You wouldnt regret it. However, the staff here dont seem as smiley.

Dayyyymm good burgers fo sure! The chips are always hot, fresh and crispy too!! Prices to accommodate all budgets and a great range of burgers as well as other unholy foods to feed on. The chips are way better than fergburger and the burgers are on par too!!! I 😉

After having the Fergburger 2 today’s ago, I wanted to give it a go as a Burger-Fan. Had the Large Devils Burger. I was pretty disappointed though. The bun and the patties are better at Fergburger. Price similar. I preferred and enjoyed Fergburger more to be honest. However the atmosphere is more laidback and enjoyable with a fire place.

Loved their devilish named burgers... fresh ingredients... vegetarian one was tasty n the jalapeño poppers was so good with the chipotle saucequick n polite service..big area to sit down n have your meal... will def recommend to go n eat here

We had a great time here.The devil Burger was pretty good and the aioli fries and fried onions were amazing.They have a fair amount of seats and a toilet inside. Also good that the refil sauce for the fries are for free.

Do not understand the 5 star reviews. Had the Devils Burger with bacon (as recomended), the bun was dry, patty was tasteless, bacon and cheese was almost nowhere to be found. Nice warm fire place though. Not impressed at all and the first thing that crossed my mind - cheap street side burgers (that tastes much betterback home but overpaid for it!

We had about 15 people so we called ahead and ordered burgers and sides. We were able to pick up the order and head out to feed the crew. The staff were friendly during pick up and had a chat while they were finishing off the order.There were lots of options and the menu is available online. The burger was nice but I found the patty to be a bit dry. The burger was decently sized so the sides were not needed.Fairly cheap (mostly under $20and tasty and close to the city.

I understand why the locals prefer this place over Fergburger. The quality of burgers is the same, if not better, just without the long wait. Although I think the secret is out because it was quite busy here as well when I came in.I had the She Devil and it was great.
