Devil's Isle Cafe - Restaurant in Hamilton, Bermuda
The staff here was incredibly rude. We are visiting & we walked into the to-go area (we did not see the other side& we saw people eating at tables. We just assumed they ordered inside & their food was brought out to them so that is what we did. We saw no signs or anything stating otherwise. They brought our food to us in to-go containers & we were confused. I asked for some silverware & syrup & the man working inside (he had blonde short hairthe restaurant very rudely told me we were not allowed to sit at the table & eat our food. I had 2 children with me & had just spent $80 on food. As we sat down to eat he very rudely came & stared at us & then put signs out on all of the tables saying that you couldn’t consume to-go food at the tables.
Nice atmosphere to work in or share a meal in! Warm and friendly staff! Delicious coffee with all the alternative milk options! Menu has a precise breakdown of food restrictions which is super helpful! Had the vegan banana pancakes and they were delicious!
Great place! Food was amazing especially the ceviche! One of the best meals I had in Bermuda! The waitress was awesome! She was friendly and very thoughtful. Well definitely go back
We really enjoyed Devils Isle for all 3 meals and had it delivered as well. Great options for take away and fab iced coffees, frappes and other fruity drinks on those hot islands days when wandering around town shopping.
Absolutely LOVE devils isle cafe. We’ve been to Bermuda twice and in my opinion it’s the only place you should be eating breakfast. I would come here every day of my vacation if possible and don’t forget to bring a bag of coffee home!
I had the most amazing waitress “please don’t worry about anything (dietary restrictionsI’m here to make sure you have the best dinner experience, let me know how I can best do so”. She made jokes and was so kind it actually warmed my heart. The food was also amazing, I ended up ordering the same thing the next day for lunch! Also THE COFFEE was dreamy. 5/5
Amazing food. Delicious and creative drinks. Accommodates dietary concerns well. Fantastic vibe.
Food is pretty tasty. Nice tea lattes as I am not a coffee drinker. Pricey though.
Devils Isle is a must go to while in Bermuda-a delicious coffee, wonderful breakfast with a great selection of both heathy and traditional items. Lunch and dinner are amazing as well.( the tofu dumplings and the squid ink pasta and the grain bowl- oh my!!).But the best part is the friendly and personable staff- shout out to Effie and Denise!I go at least 2 times a week while I’m in Bermuda!
So so good!! Went here while on my vacation and the food was delicious and fresh. I got the falafel wrap w/ fries and it was sooo tasty. Like lick my fingers good. Service was also quick and friendly. When I go back to Bermuda I will definitely be stopping by! Highly recommend.
This place was excellent. The vibe was great, there was good music and staff were friendly. The pancakes and breakfast sandwich were very good. Definitely recommend this if you are visiting Bermuda.
Amazing place. Almost everything is homemade. It taste very good.A great place to go!A must in Hamilton.
Best café in Hamilton for brunchLoses a star - I asked for another americano (after already having oneand they brought me filter coffee insteadStill charge for an americano
Very fresh ingredients with a very lovely brunch menu. Hamburger has very fresh beef taste. Eggs Benedict had poached eggs cooked just right.
Great food with good healthy options. As usual for Bermuda, expensive. Meal for two most places in Bermuda can easily be 100-200 $, breakfast, lunch or dinner....
Me and my wife stop by here to eat, and the food is AMAZING!! its one of those places where you have to keep coming back to try others food they offer, creative, delicious, eye catching.
Very overpriced. Food was decent, but certainly not worth the price. Also, an $18 smoothie is certainly something I haven’t seen before…
Great dining experience, amazing selection of food and coffee is consistently incredible. Denise took amazing care of us today. Will be back!
Great place to visit! Awesome cocktails 🍸 👌 and personal. Damjan is the men!Highly recommended.
Is this restaurant a 5 star on the mainland? No. Is it the best food I ate in Bermuda? Yes. The ambiance is lovely and the food is well executed. I thought the fish and chips were excellent and the following day I had a really nice omelette for brunch. If you are in Bermuda do yourself a favor and get at least one meal here.
Great coffee (beans and technique), and delicious breakfast spanning a wide selection from traditional eggs and sausage, to super healthy grains and everything in between. We ducked in for breakfast, and hung out while we chatted about our plans for the day; no rush from the waitstaff. Just friendly, quality service and food. I noticed the bar was also stocked quite nicely, as well.
Totally disappointed by our burger take out and misleading information provided. Note sides are not included in burger price even if you are told they are, you will be charged extra.Burger bread was stale and hard to bite in. No arugula but spinach instead and a soggy side of truffle fries... neither of us liked anything we had tonight
I love being the only one in the take out line with two baristas behind the bar that do not acknowledge my presence whatsoever. No hello walking in the door instead I’m meant to feel like I am interrupting them for my order. I stay pleasant and still barely any eye contact while taking my order and paying. This has happened twice now and I think they need a little reminder of what good or even decent customer service means.
Loved the service, loved the food and loved everything about the place. A bit on the expensive side however totally worth it.Visited the devile isle for Lunch in Hamilton.
The best food we had in hamilton. Menu has lot of options. We went on a Sunday so brunch was the way to go. Staff is friendly and efficient. If you are downtown it is worth looking at the menu plus they have a little deck outside
Enjoyed a nice lunch here today. Staff is very friendly and we liked our outdoor table. However, I was disappointed that my Vegan Cuban salad did not have sweet potato, as described. Had I known they were out of sweet potato, I would have ordered something else or requested some quinoa as a sub. Seemed pretty pricey for a veg salad missing an ingredient. Lots of avocado and mango though.
The coffee here is amazing... strong brew deliciousness! The food is great - even the condiments (ketchup for exampleare made fresh, in-house. The staff are friendly. Indoor and outdoor dining options are available, with partitions between for current Covid-19 safety measures.
They say first impressions count! Well, my first impressions were nothing but regrettable. After, leaving work late with a hunger headache and desiring nothing but a hot meal, I stumbled upon this restaurant. I ordered to go: The Fun Guy Mix(their definition of Alfredo, garlic bread and grilled chicken breast. When I arrived home in less than 10 mins, craving what turned out to be a total disappointment, I became angry with myself for wasting my time and money. The food tasted awful! It had no kind of flavoring. The pasta/noodles had this clammy, sticky texture as if the starch wasn’t rinse out. I had to add some seasoning to it to give it some taste but after consuming two fork-fulls, I was turned off. Also, the garlic bread was too hard and the chicken was okay. So to sum it up, NEVER AGAIN!I am of the belief that if you hold a certification of being a chef/cook, your skill set should be way better than the average person. Therefore, zero stars will be given for the food and one star for the restaurant’s small but intimate set up.
The menu makes everything sound great, unfortunately food is not good. The salad nourish bowl salad sounds great but was pretty bland even with the bacon fat, keto dressing, plus a second helping.Fries were soggy, soft, and un seasoned. The pork belly sandwich had pieces of cartilage which was pretty off putting.High priced, poorly prepared food
First time there. VERY good breakfast and pretty allergy friendly as well. The service, smoothies and coffee were all fantastic. Pretty small place, but intimate and spaced well for social distance safety. Outside dining was really nice!
Try the Charcuterie board! This is our absolute favourite. We always go there for a quick lunch and this cheese and meat platter is the perfect size to share. Make sure to end it off with some good coffee!!
The food at Devils Isle is always top notch - regardless of whether you visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner, it never disappoints. Today for lunch I had a very yummy Salmon Crepe with a side salad of Kale Caesar Salad. For drink I ordered a really nice juice called the Green Apple which I highly recommend - it was very refreshing! The service was quick and the staff were super friendly.
DELICIOUS. The venison, lamb chops, mashed potatoes, spare ribs, plum jam turnover, and carrot and zucchini cake... From top to bottom the food was so delicious and I would eat here repeatedly. Repeatedly. Service was nice as well and theres a very chill vibe. Highly recommend.
We liked it so much, we went there twice. Want some great coffee and great food in Hamilton? This is the place to go. We even got some coffee to bring home to Germany.
Very good restaurant with a good variety of options for vegans. I loved the service and the food was great. I liked the fish tacos, the mango sauce gives it a nice touch. It was a lot of fun in a good location and with fresh food. Worth visiting if you are in Hamilton
Fun stop. Decided to sit down for a bite to eat. The Nourish Bowl was great. Glad I ordered the small one. Coffee was served pretty fancy for a non-Brit like me. Definitely recommend.
My friend and I had breakfast here this morning and what can I say hands down it was just a very good service... I had heard good things about the restaurant and I can say that you guys are living up to your name from the greeting at the door to the payment of the bill it was just smoothly delivered, my only concern was that the restaurant is a little small the outdoor seating is a plus and there is little or no parking especially during peak hours.... But I will be returning keep up the good work just know that there is always room for improvement.
Amazing food and fantastic atmosphere.I visited on a Sunday afternoon for a late brunch, they werent too busy, but definitely not quite, just the right number of people. The staff were really friendly and even apologised for a delay in the service (even though I didnt think there was one). The menu has all the food allergens shown and has a little stop clock next to items which take a bit of time to cook.I had the Avocado Bake which was fabulous, and I couldnt resist looking at the dessert menu, which lead to this amazing Banana Bread Pudding (I had to take a photo).Price was good for Bermuda, and even if its a little higher you dont mind for amazing service and brilliant food. The other reason this restaurant will always be 5 star to me is its inclusive. Bermuda doesnt have the best track record in being inclusive of the LGBT community, yet the Devils Ilse Cafe, in the face of all the negative press, has put up the rainbows for Pride. Thank you 😁🏳️🌈.If you live here, just visiting, or happen to find yourself lost in the Bermuda Triangle, the Devils Ilse is a must!
So we did not eat here but had coffee instead it was excellent. I had the nitro jammin coffee. It was a treat. Very different than anything in the states. My husband did a latte. These are not sweet coffees so if your used to american sweet starbucks latte, this is not it. These are american sizes but european taste. I was disappointed they didnt have pasteries or dessert menu. I mean skme biscotti would be great. They do have an extensive drink menu ehich include smoothies, alcoholic drinks. We el try to come back. We went back and had food it was great. I had some kinda egg nacho with chicken. Wow amazing. And the chia tea latte another great drink
Nice lil cafe in the middle of Hamilton. The food is good - very healthy, but a bit a pricey. Service was excellent.
Their menu is great and portion sizes are perfect. Staff are always friendly but sometimes you have to wait ages for a cocktail. Also they are super pricy but I guess that’s cause their ingredients are organic
Excellent cafe/restaurants. Had breakfast and dinner here. Quality food, you get what you pay for. Only discovered this on our 2nd last day in Bermuda otherwise would have eaten every meal here.
There coffee was amazing, the service was quick and I had a great brunch for a reasonable price (for the local). Definitely recommend if youre looking for a break and a meal. We ate outside, but the inside is also available with a nice atmosphere of an old London pub with a modern twist, very steampunk. That being said dont show up with a large group as they wont be able to accommodate, its just not that kind of place. Posted a pic of the coffee, and in my not so humble opinion, it was absolutely amazing and worth going for the coffee alone!
Great food but not the place to go for a quick sit down lunch. I had, what had to be, the greenest greek salad ever. Im not complaining, it was delicious. Then i had the brisket sandwich with hand cut fries while my partner in dine had grilled shrimp on a colorful collection of raw veggies. Everything was good it just takes so long. I do recommend it but only if you have the time.
Love their coffee! Goes great with their shop made protein bars (shown)! As a dietitian and part of the Bermuda Dietitians Assc. you can feel good about dining at this establishment. Lots of dishes made with real ingredients and targeted at the health conscious! The outdoor seating is nice- not the best view but has a trendy urban feel.
Probably the best coffee on the island. Great food too and, as others have mentioned, its on the pricey side (but standard for the area). Service is friendly but definitely at island pace.
Always a pleasure to visit here. Food is consistently above average and the coffee is among the best on the island. Has a concise yet varied menu and is a great place for breakfast and brunch. The menu is clearly marked for those with gluten allergies, vegans, vegetarians and allergies to eggs or nuts. Their omelettes are a must-try, and my personal favourite is the mint mocha. You get WiFi for 1hr (ask for a codeand if you want to go for lunch you may want to reserve unless youre alright sitting at the bar.
Delightful bar / restaurant with extensive menu of both food and wine with some locally made options. Short rib plate was massive, we also tried the lamb and fish and chips which were excellent. I like that they price all basic wines at the same price
The best coffee in the island. The menu have great options, healthy food, well balanced and also it is a great place to hang out with friends for nice drinks. In Bermuda is hard to find good food, nice presentation of the food, good ambience and good service all together. But, that place offers all that. It is my favorite place in the island. Must go!
The food is amazing, great atmosphere, and delicious drinks. Can get loud when the people from the cruise ships come in but is fun nonetheless. Prices everywhere in Bermuda are high (youre on an island in the middle of the oceanbut the quality here is well worth it.
