Brews, cocktails & American eats draw revelers to this modern, bi-level space with indoor trees.
Came here for an impromptu brunch date with my boyfriend. I had the strawberry lemonade cocktail with the biscuits and gravy and he had a yuengling and the chorizo burger.I really loved the biscuits and gravy—our server Eve recommended them and I am glad she did. The strawberry lemonade wasn’t my favorite, I’m not sure what was off about it to me but hey ya win some and you lose some.My partner didn’t love his chorizo burger, but he determined that he might not like chorizo as much as he thought he did and said it was pretty salty as well. The fries were good, though! And his egg was perfectly cooked and very runny.Eve was divine. Very kind and helpful. Everything was a little slow getting to the table for how busy it was, but I don’t think it was her slacking or anything.Overall I definitely think we’ll return!
Yesterday was my first time there. I had the Veggie Quesadillas; they were the best I ever had. The Mango Margarita was great. The staff very friendly. Ill be returning soon.
Very delicious and great service from nice people. We always go there when were in town. We recommend the wings or the nachos.
Went during happy hour. Good food. Onion rings and fries were my favorite. Grilled buffalo chicken sandwich was delish. Changed the hot sauce, the one they had before was better but still good. Jerk chicken tacos were too spicy.
Love their buffalo chicken sandwich and chipotle ranch! Also awesome happy hour. The pork sliders and cheesesteak eggroll are awesome. The sangria is also very good!
Excellent food! Marvelous waitstaff! Superb ambiance! This venue is off the charts! They have a high-level of competence!
Very disappointing, used to be great, now its poor quality made poorly, hard to check this one off the list, was always a good spot.
Great food and drinks; however, very disappointed that our server disappeared and we were left sitting there waiting to get doggie bags and cash out...didnt even get a chance to order more drinks! My wife finally went up to the bar and asked a manager for boxes (which she had to get herselfand our check. Dont know if ill ever go back...really disappointed in how dinner ended. If this is how youre going to treat your customers, hire more staff!!!
Amazing food and service. The prices are also very reasonable. I got the grilled Caesar salad and my boyfriend got the Buffalo chicken sandwich. We will definitely be back.
Just left this place with my daughter all imma say is the service was 💯 the food omg the bomb.com💯 ookay Those ribs mash potatoes off the hook I love their fried green tomatoes first time having them they were really good mac& cheese really good I will be back for sure to eat more of that good food 😋
Marlena Z. is awesome! Great drinks and atmosphere also.
Its a nice relaxing place but it takes forever for bartenders to take your order for anything. The food was good. Had the basic cheeseburger, considering the fact that it was my first time there so I had to get something you really cant mess up. I suggest looking at the menu prior to going so you dont have to wait 20 minutes to get started.
Absolutely love this place. Very nice vibe. Very good food.
Super cool upstairs bar. Great spot for drinks and food. Really friendly and attractive people working.
Run away from the salmon burger. It is beyond mushy and inedible. The fries, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob is the only reason they got two starsThe half chicken is edible but has no flavor. Make sure you ask for salt and pepper or better yet go somewhere else.
Honestly best brunch/lunch spot! Staff is always in their “A” game. I love sitting at the bar upstairs with the street view! I remember way back in the day they had good blood Marys. The Palomas on my last trip from the bartender were excellent. Also put my order in right away. And had plenty of time to eat before catching my train back home. I am happy yous survived all of this. Cheers!
Great happy hour specials and solid food make Devils Alley a worthy stop if youre in/near Rittenhouse Sq. They have two levels and a nice outdoor area. We have visited a few times and eaten just about all the appetizers, there are no duds in the menu at all!
Great food and drinks but service by one individual wasnt great. They didnt smile once and didnt make us feel welcome at all. We sat upstairs and wish we had sat downstairs as the lady down there was much more pleasant!
Great food. We really enjoyed it. I got grilled cheese w/ fried green tomatoes. Unusual but very good.
Stopped by for lunch while visiting Philadelphia. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Tacos my wife had the Chicken n Rib combination. The tacos came with a mango topping. Our food was nothing short of delicious.
I never leave reviews but this place was awful. They got almost every single order wrong and they tried to charge us for things we didn’t even get. The manager took 20 minutes to come before finally telling us there was nothing he would do about it and we should pay the full price. Huh? When I told him we lived locally and he was throwing away future business for nothing, he shrugged, said he didn’t care, and walked away. Yeah do yourself a favor and skip this place if you want food/drinks. There are plenty of better options nearby.
I think the chicken tacos with mango and the special sauce are the best plate in the menu. I felt bad for my waitress as it was obvious that they are understaffed. At some point they lost electricity and they could only accept cash. Despite this, great food and great service.
I love this place.! I am a fan of their cheesesteak egg rolls. Overall they offer a good menu with a decent variety of foods. But if you enjoy cheesesteak egg rolls, this is place to go.
I was recommended this place by a fellow foodie. I ordered alittle bit of everything. Drink was a Pink Lemonade-5… It was so strong all you need is 1… 2 if you’re trying to get lit😅. What we ordered for food was Jerked wings-3 1/2, Mahi Mahi Tacos-3, Herbed Chicken Sandwich-5, Philly Cheesesteak Rolls-5, Chicken Quesadilla-2 (too many onionsand last but not least Grilled Romaine w/ shrimp-5. I rated them on a scale from 1-5. Overall I recommend this place. Cheers 🥂
Cool space with a two story atrium and outdoor seating. Food is reasonably priced, especially for its proximity to Rittenhouse Sq. Brunch specials on the weekend are great, skewing mexican, at this otherwise contemporary + american bar/grill.
I hate the covid happened now they’re no longer selling the calamari,I would go there just for that dish specifically😩I love it here, the atmosphere is chill and cozy. Their food is really good as well, the calamari is my favorite dish, and their wings along with their chipotle ranch sauce is delicious! It’s so much flavor. The waiters/waitresses+the guests are friendly as well, prices are reasonable. Great place for tourists to visit! I’m literally obsessed with their food, go if you haven’t already.
Food was very good. Kind of slow to get to the table and a little pricey, though. $14 for 6 wings! Restroom is an experience of its own. Its not terribly nasty, but it looks like it should be and it stinks like its in the basement... because it is.
The food was great. I had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken and the Chipotle dressing and it was delicious. Also had the fried green tomatoes and macaroni and cheese appetizers. Everything was great. Plus a couple ice cold beers. I would definitely go back to this place.
Heard about this location from a friend who has been here and they raved about the food. So my gf and I came we were absolutely not disappointed, the service was awesome, the drinks were very well made and the food was DELICIOUS!!! Had the chicken and ribs combo and the meat was falling off the bone. Im not a coleslaw person but their coleslaw was so good. Definitely coming back!!!
Great food. Calm and modern/industrial atmosphere. Nice indien rock/psychedelic rock music. I do feel bad for the poor waitress, seemed like she was the only one serving. She did great though!
Ordered a salmon burger and St. Louis ribs. The salmon burger had an Asian slaw on top with a spicy mayo on the side to smear on the bun. Fries and a pickle. The ribs were spicy dry rub and WOW, they did not disappoint! The best ribs Ive ever had - no exaggeration!!! Fries and slaw. Service was fast and easy.
Tasty salmon burger and fries, service was great and thank you for having outdoor seating.
I came here twice and received pretty good service both times, not the most attentive staff but the menu is fantastic, theres a good amount of choices. They have daily specials and the food tastes great! This is a roomy bar so you likely can always find a place to sit and the staff is pretty laid back.
I recently coordinated a holiday gathering at Devils Alley and was incredibly happy with the level of service and our entire experience. Lauren was a pleasure to work with to get everything organized and coordinated. On the night of our event, we were situated in a beautiful semi-private space upstairs with plenty of room for guests to stand and chat around high top tables or sit and eat. All of the food and drinks were delicious. Our server and the manager both took great care of us. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend for a small gathering space!
Kind of late visit (10:30pm Saturday nightand we were pleased the kitchen was still serving full menu. Seating was available upstairs and our server Meghan was very nice and helpful. The food was delicious. I had the salmon burger and my friend had the pulled pork sandwich. Mine came with fresh cut fries, also tasty, and my friend ordered a side of fries with his. His fries were not as hot as he liked and he asked Meghan to bring some fresh ones which she did with no problem. The prices arent cheap but not over the top either for the quality it seems. We really enjoyed our meal and I will likely go back and try other dishes on the menu.
Visited Philly this past weekend and stopped here for Brunch with a friend. It was located around the corner from the hotel I was staying in, so I gave it a shot. The Sirloin Beef Burger was AWESOME! Its the best burger Ive had in a long time. Very flavorful. I had it with Provolone Cheese and mushrooms with Beer Battered Onion Rings. Sooooo delicious. Good prices. Excellent service too. Definitely will visit this Bar and Grill again.
Great food. Great service. I went for restaurant week. They had many great options. The menu was large and it was a pick 4 menu. The food was good and so were the portions.
Great bar with a funky modern feel and delicious food options. The whole front of the building opens to the street, which made for great people watching from the second floor. Very spacious location with more seating on the first floor. I had the devils breakfast and it was simple yet flavorful. I would recommend to anyone looking for good food and a very unique atmosphere
The Sonesta (Franrecommended this place to us and made the reservation for our party of 10 for dinner on a Saturday night. We were given a private table upstairs. Our table was ready when we arrived and our server and everyone running food to us was excellent. Our food orders came out fast, correct, and hot. Everything was well seasoned and excellent. Best meal of my weekend trip. I had a bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries.I do not recommend the iced tea if you drink it plain. It was a strong brew and Im not sure sugar would have helped it. I stuck to water.
Came here with my friend for restaurant week and had a great time! Our waiter Todd was wonderful! Super attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We made a 5:00 reservation on a weekday and had plenty of time to enjoy the food and talk without being rushed out. They also had some reasonable drink specials going on for happy hour. I also highly reccomend getting the brownie dessert; super warm and fudgy served with fresh whipped cream.
4/5 been here a couple of times for the burger. They’ve always been decent but nothing spectacularly mind blowing.
This is one of my favorite go to spots for lunch. The ambience is great...I love the subdued lighting and the cool art on the walls. Their food is always awesome! One item that I absolutely CANNOT get enough of is their fried green tomatoes! I am a meat eater and I will gladly forgo all meat just to eat this flavorful savory plate of happiness!!!!
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. I recommend the shrimp quesadilla as the ideal happy hour appetizer. Our server, José was excellent as well.
This place was my favorite bar for 2 years while I was living in Center City. The staff is always helpful, and incredibly accommodating. Although, dont be scared by the bathroom, its graffitid for the look. If you go, highly recommend a Sunday trip for margarita pitchers or $3 craft bottles on Tuesdays. The burgers are cheaper than Shake Shack and a million times better. Guacamole Bacon & Cheddar comes highly recommended. Go for the happy hour, stay for the food.
Ive always enjoyed coming here over the years. The happy hour specials are perfect. The beer selection is both limited and perfect at the same time. The dry rub wings were delicious. And the atmosphere is always what Im looking for.
Cool spot. Food good. But the prices are sketchy the shots are cheaper than the mixed drinks that are watered down.
Amazing food! Pulled pork sandwich is one of my favorites, ask for extra BBQ!. If you get there before the weekday lunch rush they have a few tables by the balcony with a nice view of Chestnut street. It WILL get crowded during lunch, but the food and atmosphere is really great. 10/10 would recommend.
Absolutely loved it here. The workers are phenomenal. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The crowd was really diverse and the drinks were so cheap! Went for happy hour and had a great time. If youre in the philly area definitely stop by and check it out. Dont let the name scare you away! Lots of fun waiting for ya.
Very delicious and affordable even has a good craft beer menu. The waiter was very nice and accommodating. We sat upstairs next to the window and were able to watch the busy street while we ate. A lot of fun and worthy of going to again.
Easily the best buffalo chicken sandwich in the city. Really the best anywhere. Its not your typical breaded chicken dipped in buffalo sauce but a cleaner and tastier version. Otherwise, the Philly Cuban is excellent and the rest of the menu is great. Good service, seating on two floors and outside. Great for a casual or business lunch.
