I had forgotten just how vibrant NYC could be. I hadnt visiThe lady in the farmers market was soooo lovely. Her shop was stocked to the nines. Im talking everything 🇯🇲 Jamaican & then some.

Like this spot Lady was very knowledgeable about what to put in your body and what to drink at the moment

Products are good but the customer service is terrible and super slow especially the lady she act like you not paying and your in there begging last time bringing my money back there find it elsewhere all lies on her reply she would not know who I was if I walked in there and she’s responding like she remembered me lol I never asked to skip and I called a whole 40 minutes before I got there. I don’t care you know who I am I didn’t steal soo your point is what

Woman referred to as doctor is very nasty, rude, and unapproachable. This is why its hard to support black business. I will never support that detox bar based on my experience with that unprofessional thug like woman. She was just rude to me upon entering the store after having to wait until after 10pm to get in contact with her. This was my second attempt to speak with her being she is always available so late. My previous interaction with other staff members was excellent so this was really a shocking. God see and know…smh.This lady finds a lot of excuses for her horrible behavior why would i come there for help with an attitude especially when it was for a child, i was very taken back by her attitude especially from person holding a title such as “Doctor”. The child was very disappointed. Been in there before and staff was very nice so that behavior was not excepted. If you are aggressive to someone immediately one will go in defense mode although at no point did i raise my voice or was i disrespectful. I little self reflection does not kill and you are human believe or not you can admit to having bad days and apologize.I for one look for black businesses to support some are GREAT and unfortunately some give me the experience i received from you, aggressive and unprofessional.And if I went to the whole food store and needed help and experienced what i experienced with you i would never go back.

I came to the Detoxx Bar and the location was closed. The Owner came to the door and told me we are not open, i explained to her that her hours on google showed her business was open. The woman was so gracious to asked me was i hungry, I said yessss. She politely open the door and let me in. We began to talk, she explained to me she was a Doctor. I live in Pa now and cannot find locations like hers in my area. The Dr made me a healthy meal / smoothie and sent me on my way with a humbling experience. I will never forget this Dr or location. When i come back to my home town to visit, I will be visiting this location for life. So grateful to find this business and to meet a Dr who takes time to care & help people. The food & smoothie was magnificent.

Google really needs to add the ability to rate zero star. Owner and staff extremely rude and unprofessional. Dont go spend money where your tolerated go where you are appreciated. Its down right embarrassing that this behavior come form your own kind when you just trying to support a black own business. Will never ever support this place again.

Great concept and I am sure Detoxx Bar has helped many folk in the community. It’s refreshing to have a healthy option in the neighborhood, especially during the pandemic. Only reason I don’t like coming here is due to the extended wait time. Hence why I gave 3 stars and not 5 because even when I want to stop by, I remember that 30 minute wait just to get to “place my order” for something as simple as a smoothie and choose somewhere else. As wonderful as it is to get the individualized attention, it is not practical with most people’s busy schedules and is quite inconvenient.A note to management, an approach that can help alleviate this issue is to have one staff member processing all orders (just that, nothing else): take the order, answer any questions/consult, receive payment, provide a ticket number to the customer (and one to the team preparing the orders so it’s in order), while the other staff members work on actually preparing the orders (e.g. Panera style). This way you don’t have to wait for everyone in front of you to discuss their orders (in full detail), wait for staff to prepare everything from scratch, provide taste tests to those customers, package orders, process payment etc before you even get to “place” your order. If everyone can submit order and pay one time with a ticket in hand, at least you have the assurance your order is already in queue and can quickly step away if you need to without losing your place in line.Hopefully you can find this suggestion helpful. Although, strategy may require extra staff I think it would be worth it in the long run and truly help your business grow even further. I’m sure I am not the only customer who would appreciate shorter wait times and a smoother order/pick-up process. Otherwise, great business in our area 🙌🏽 I would be more than happy to update to 5 stars given matter improves.

My stomach have been feeling upset for the past two days. Today for some reason after eating around 1pm, I couldnt shake the feeling. At 8pm I rushed to the health bar by me, but it was closed, so thought of this place and prayed for it to be open. (Thank you in advance for the late nights.Got there and didnt know what to ask for, told the fellow over the counter whatever he got to stop nausea and upset stomach.Hating the gagging and attempts to bring everything up the whole ride over I forgot I was allergic to almost everything and didnt tell him. Still took the risk and drank the drink as soon as it was handed to me. Believe it or not the feeling was gone before I got back home.The only thing that work that quick was pain pills for me, Im whole fully in love with this place. Youll see me again.

Busy place! They hooked me up based on the questions I answered! What I came for . . . I needed an empty stomach to partake! Wish they were closer Id visit all the time! Need to get back over there sometime this week and definitely by weekend! I make Smoothies at home myself but she has got some Detoxx juices there to die for! Check ahead some beverages have time constraints for empty stomach! So when I go Ill be ready for my Detoxx! Thank you! Luvualwayz!

She is a straightforward person which the truth hurts, but bad health hurts more. Her staff she has been taught well they are very helpful and know when to advise you to wait for her to explain your issues with her.

The detoxx bar is a world class establishment. The staff is phenomenal, very attentive, and responsive to request snd questions.The owner is very helpful and has been giving back to the neighborhood for years. She has personally helped my family members balance their health. Couldn’t ask for anymore from a deeply rooted business that’s here for the community!

I’ve been a client for 2 years now and I can agree with the majority of comments in here, Dr. Swami is very knowledgeable and will have your health’s interest in every decision made. The smoothies and cold pressed juices have amazing properties which will help you achieve a healthy body and mind.

I love this store the owner knows her stuff. She’s a PhD holder and is a boss at making sure she’s supplying you quality ingredients. I believe there’s a drink that holds the cure to covid . Just ask about it. It’s packed with alot of antioxidants. Some people have been cured after two to three days. This store is what our community needed ❤️Edit : the drink is called anti viral.You can buy a 12-16 oz cup of it I believe, or get the powder version for bulk I think it’s up to 64oz .They don’t disclose their prices over the phone, I won’t either but it won’t break the bank .

Visited this place today and was hoping it was a spot I can revisit. There aren’t many places like this in my community. Unfortunately I will not go back to this establishment. I ordered a drink, ultimate detox, and was told that due to COVID they make it stronger and I had to get a large which displayed $9.50 on the board. Ok fine, received my drink and was told I had to drink it in the store. By that time there were about 10 people in the store, no social distancing. I have the gentleman $10 and didn’t receive my change, i was going to forgo it. I left the store after finishing my drinking and another customer ran after me. I went back in the store and the lady basically implied I didn’t pay. I stated the amount I gave and she told me the drink was $13. False advertisement. Reluctantly I paid the difference. That was not a good experience. The drink was just ok, I’ve had better.

I only go to this detox bar to get my weekly detox, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they also have many great vegan products to choose from.

Absolutely amazing and very new experience for me. I randomly wanted to check out a juice bar near the area I was in, and came across this amazing place. The lady Ive met providing this amazing service is a doctor. Ive then realized after speaking with her that she is what our community needs promoting great health beneficiaries and natural medicines through juices, teas and other drinks/snacks.I loved how she take requests on how youre feeling and create a juice specifically to what you need as a natural medicine. If you have inflammation or other health issues, you can explain it to her and shell know what to give you. Shes a blessing and I love the mission she is servicing to our community.

Was trying these item out and was very pleased...I never been to a juice or a detox bar where I order a shake or drink and its off balance where one ingredient over power the other I was very surprised cause here everything was on point...I highly recommend you can check these guys out 💪💪💞💞💞👌👌👏👏👍👍👍

My baby’s dad would always get me juices from here when I was pregnant. After that I started going on my own! I can feel the love in the service. The Strawberry Shortcake is my favorite, even the froth is delicious!

I LOVE this place. The staff works hard and does a great job. If you have the opportunity to be there when the dr is there it is a great experience. She educates you on things you need to know or ask. Shes very well educated. I went there several times, also took family members there. I just wish the customers would practice social distancing because sometimes theres 10 customers in the store with an inch in between them. I wish they would make those social distancing foot prints in the store or have a sign that says No More Than Five Customers At A Time.

I really enjoy going to the detox bar. They are so knowledgeable about their products and how they work. I get a sense of “family” when I walk in. Absolutely recommend & will be going back!

Life saver! Dr. Swamee was the only person who took time to study COVID19 and then do deliveries of anti viral teas and herbs to help me recover from this wicked virus!! She was clear in letting me know she is not afraid and she will do whatever she can to help me recover and that she did and sum! The Detoxx Bar is my first and last stop for all things wellness. Now by the grace of God I’m adding life saving to that list! Thank God for you Dr. Swamee!!!

The owner of this place is a very nasty woman. She has bad energy. My first and last time there. She is loud and ignorant she will never again get my money. Will never recommend her to any one I know. She’s selfish with her product and had the nerve to refuse a product I wanted to buy unless I showed her my blood work. Which I’m sure is a HIPAA violation. Disgusting woman.

Wonderful store! Natural herbs and health aids, unique things you wouldnt find in a normal store like this. The owner is a knowledgeable hebalist and cares about her customers. My favorite detox is the Ultimate Detox 💪💪💪💪

products are absolutely what you need for holistic health, however as ive seen other complaints about the "woman" who Ive come to learn is the owner. You cannot have a unwelcoming spirit when doing business, you cannot come off as an dirty soul while trying to cleanse others. Personality or not Dr Swami was very unpleasant to do business with. A cleanse of ego would do well.

Dr. SWAMI is the very best!!! Always looking out for the best interest of the consumer.. They wont recommend anything thats not right for your diet situation or lifestyle.

I love this place but do not feel welcomed. A woman that works there all the time seems to have a attitude all the time and everytime I go there I hope not to see her because I am turned off from buying anything. She dont want to interact with you when you ask questions (YES/NO answers)and her coworkers seems to be scared of her, its like there afraid of interacting. I was trying to find the nearest convenient juice bar but there is a better spot on Merrick Blvd that is worth the trip!

She is an alchemist with herbs and all that has roots and leaves. I go there to detox, get my blood sugar down and my libido up. Yes I said it! And it tastes great to boot. She knows what shes doing and it shows.

This is not your average juice bar. The staff is very knowledgeable, and honest. They even will talk to you about your eating habits. Highly recommended!

The lady that works there on the regular moves so slow. She just takes her time with your order so dont go there if youre in a rush. This happened to me plenty of times where I had to wait 15 min. for a cup of ginger tea or a smoothie. Also if you want a protein shake the almond milk is a separate charge so is the protein which I dont get because its a Protein shake. Wont be going there anymore. That was my breaking point

Ms. Swami and her staff are very knowledgeable when it comes to eating healthy and natural. From organic fruit & foods down to organic toothpaste and natural toothbrushes. On Saturdays she has a cooking class on what to make from scratch with veggies and meat substitutes plus she gives out samples to everyone in attendance. THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!!

I love this place, the owner is super funny and she caters to what kind of detox you want. She is strict but its to help you in the long run. Thanks to her I slimed down 20 pounds and got about 10-15 more to go

The patrons who are often familiar repeat customers & new customers respectfully engage in brief commentaries with each other on health & what drink did the next patron just purchase. At times there is a gathered collective silence because the Detoxx Bar proprietor Swamee has began her over the counter health advisory of recipe advisory and the entire store becomes a most attentive classroom balanced by the working sounds of the blenders shaping up the anticipated health drinks. I ordered a smoothie and it taste more like a juice. The smoothie had a juice texture.Also, the lady was trying to charge me more for a 12oz smoothie as if i was buying a 16oz. Rip off.The 12oz drink ($4-5.50was a 4 friut smoothie. She charged me more as if it was a 16 oz ($6.50with more than 4 fruits.Wont be buying a smoothie from there anymore.

I came there to get an organic and fresh juice i had to wait 25 mins until finally someone took my order. but i saw the worker putting naked juice into my drink. I saw them on the shelf too.My juice was not organic it was just a mix of naked juices. I dont know why i had to pay such a high price if it wasnt even organic i can get a naked juice for 1.50 at any grocery store. high not recommended. I even tried to leave a review on the juice bars website but the owner only takes 5 star reviews. not fair
