War einer meiner Lieblingsrestaurant. Ich bin sehr traurig, dass es Desperados nicht mehr gibt!Die Bedienung war stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mal dauerte es länger, wenn der Laden voll war, sonst doch immer gut im Zeit.Das Essen war immer gut!Ich werde Desperados sehr vermissen.

Das was wir gestern bekommen hatten schmeckte gut. In grossen und ganzen war es ein Gutes Abendessen mit keinen hohen Preisen. Das Essen kam relativ schnell zu uns (das Restaurant war auch ziemlich leerund die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Alles in allem lohnt es sich vor einen Kino besuch dort essen zu gehen. Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht bestätigen. Klar gibt es viel bessere Lokale aber die Preis/Leistung stimmt.

This place was close to the hotel that we stayed at and it was pretty nice. The food was good. There is a good selection on the menu and it is easily laid out. We all left satisfied.

Die Karte wurde erneuert und die Auswahl ist kleiner als früher. Auch das Essen kann mengenmässig und qualitativ nicht mehr mit den früheren Tagen mithalten. Vermutlich hat der Besitzer gewechselt.Ob die weiteren Lokale der Kette sich auch verschlechtert haben kann ich nicht beurteilen, bin aber von diesem Lokal enttäuscht.

Amazing place to be. The staff was one of the greatest I had in a while and the food was very good and one of the best in this area of Zurich. I will certainly come back

Still waiting for food 1.5 after order...

Food was ok. Waiting for it was not. Tables were not cleaned or cleared after people left. Waitress was sitting at the bar on her phone. Got an extra dish by mistake. What a bit of a shambles. Only go if you have a lot of time.

I would not go again. The food was ok but I find it expensive for what it was.I was going there for nachos and tacos and was very disappointed their guacamole comes without any chips since it had good reviews.I was not impressed and will not go back

Nice food, could be better though. Didnt like the pomegranate-chicken combination in one of their choices though.

Vegetarian options are really not that great. The restaurant does get stars for the interior...its lovely.

Second time visiting this place. Great food and excellent service.

Food was nice and cocktails full of flavours.. couldnt really taste the alcohol though. Not happy with the long wait we had for our food to come. The restaurant was literally empty and we had a 40min wait which led to me being 10mins late to class as well as having to take half my food with me.

Not good for groups... they cant even split a bill

Die komplette Karte wurde in den letzten Monaten auf den Kopf gestellt. Vor der ganzen Umstellung war dies noch einer meiner liebsten Mexikaner in Zürich, jetzt spricht mich das Angebot nicht mehr an, schade! Der Service ist weiterhin super freundlich und aufmerksam.

Es war unser Pflichtprogramm vor jedem Kinobesuch. Aber wir werden uns jetzt ein anderes Lokal suchen. Preis Leistung stimmt nicht mehr. Viel kleinere Portionen, das Essen scheint mir nicht mehr von der selben Qualität zu sein. Auch auf Wünsche wird/oder kann nicht eingegangen werden. Einziger Pluspunkt, recht freundliches Personal.

The food was really good, and our waitress was really nice and sweet. But they desperately need more staff - it took over 1.5 hours from we arrived until our food was ready!We are ready to give then another chance, but if the wait is just as long, we wont be coming back for a third try.

Das neue Food Konzept hat mit dem was Jahre lang angeboten wurde nicht viel zu tun, aber die Portionen sind jetzt schaffbar und ein kleines Dessert (vernünftige Preisehat dann auch noch Platz. Im Grunde schmeckt jetzt vieles frischer. Die Cocktails sind Welten besser geworden (-:

The service was terrible. The place had only 4 tables occupied but it took more them 30 min to get the bill. For lunch time in a business area this is unacceptable. We were 8 and the waiter did not want to split the bill. It was too much work (in such an empty place). Never more Ill go there.

Perfect place for a cool evening with delicious tex mex food and amazing booze

Ich war mit einer Gruppe von 15 Personen im Desperado an der Hardbrücke. Normalerweise mag ich das Essen sehr. Gestern, jedoch mussten meine Freundin und ich mit Schrecken feststellen, dass wir Haare im Gericht hatten. Wir haben ein neues Gericht angeboten bekommen und Getränke. Meine Kollegin bestellte ein Neues, mir war der Appetit aber vergangen. Schlussendlich, nach Diskussion, wurde mir das ganze Menu verrechnet. Die Kellnerin blieb immer sehr freundlich, ich aber zusammen mit der grösseren Gruppe verliessen das Restaurant sehr enttäuscht.

Die Vorspeise (NachosRoyal Grösse war nicht wirklich eine grosse Portion. Zudem war es kalt und der Käse dementsprechend hart.Die Hauptspeise hat uns aber positiv überrascht. Die Enchiladas waren sehr lecker und schön warm.

Great Mexican restaurant. Affordable, huge portions, and great cocktails / drinks menu... And the staff are very friendly, ready to accommodate for special occasions eg birthdays etc

Food is good. Although they changed people in the kitchen once and that was (too salty, overcooked etc). But I wouldnt keep this against the place. Prices are high compared to the food quality. Desserts are nice however, I took the churros with vanilla ice cream and I was pretty delighted.

Unfortunately this was probably the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had...First of all: no Tacos on the menu.And here’s why else:- as I’m lactose intolerant, I asked what would be suitable for me (normally tacos are). The waiter said they can make most lactose free. I chose the enchiladas with champignons. Unfortunately I couldn’t have guacamole or mashed beans with it, because both were not lactose free. Why?!? No reason to put yogurt or anything else in both and definitely not Mexican.- the enchiladas were supposed to be covered in salsa. The salsa turned out to be a convenience tomato sauce.- the champignons (which were the main ingredients, no special orderwere missing- the rice was just dry and without any flavorEverything was very “flat” in taste, no herbs, nothing exciting.- and last but not least: we waited 45 min for our food, but there were only 2 tables...including ours!!!The waiter was nice, but he didn’t seem to care more like he knows it’s bad food. Because his response was: “the chef has to stick to the recipes”Never again.

Super delicious. Great cocktails. Make sure to try the sauces!

My wife and I had a great date night tonight. The Nachos... well... neither of us could remember ever eating better ones. Great beer and drinks but the best were the staff there. Best service we have gotten in YEARS!Thanks guys, we’ll be back!

Very few if any vegan options. Had the mushroom Fajitas... Typically when you order a fajita it comes out sizzling, mine was just warm NO SIZZLE. Frozen margarita was good but the guacamole was not fresh made, like a guac mousse. Also Fajita only came with 4 tortillas and the beans were hard undercooked or undersoaked. Decent tequila selection. Overall disappointed.

Muy mal! Terrible. Food is a joke and not at all Mexican (they served mashed potatoes with a saucy meat dish - Chile Colorado!). No tortillas with the mole - that is like serving Italian pesto without bread.Service was poor, and at 10pm they came and told us to move inside immediately to keep the noise low for the neighbors - right as we were eating. (We refused and insisted on being able to enjoy our meal where they had seated us 20 minutes before). Will never go back to this lousy place!

Food was ok, but nothing special. We had Nachos, which were covered with cheese and sauce, and therefore getting soggy very fast, Cesar salad was nothing exciting, too much sauce.

Typical complacent Züri service, even and even more so later in the evening, despite slow business.No soap (tried all four dispensersor paper towels left in mens room!Waiter, later: "Its not that theyre empty - theyre just broken from people pushing them too hard"...All four dispensers broken? Whatever.Waitress seemed depressed, as if shed been dealing with low-caliber, less-than-savory characters all day.Menus were huge cactus cut-outs.Paid CHF 38,50 for a dish of undercooked, chewy "tequila steak" - f"""in rip-off, in my opinion.Good thing: Large wall painted with detailed map of Mexico.As far as I know, completely devoid of any Mexicans (employees or guests...).Only pull-factor to return was 2-for-1 voucher given at end.

Mexican grill "de Puta madre". Good Mexican dishes, good ambient and friendly waiters.
