Desi Dera Restaurant & BBQ in Rawalpindi

Ordered a chicken roll wrap and the meat was all burnt at the ends. The Beef Kofta Kabab, does not look anything like the picture. No tomatoes in the salad and the skewers instead of two full skewers you get one and half.

Great food! Large quantity, we ordered the small bbq and still had left overs for take out. The price is reasonable and the food was delicious.

Had take outs from this place many a times. Food quality has declined over the time.Biriyani that I got today had a couple of tiny, dry chicken pieces that looked overcooked or old.

Not so good food. Expensive and they provide student discount only to bring it down to regular price as other restaurants. I recommend trying out other restaurants.

The Tea was not good. The milk used was of low quality.The Samosas tasted like a week old.

14.99 for watery butter chicken that came with FIVE pieces of chicken. Awful

The butter chicken tasted like it was 90% ghee/oil. It had no flavour to it but oil, could not taste any spice. Tandoori chicken was ok. Naan tasted like thin pizza dough

Very nice place with excellent environment. you can enjoy food with family. Food options are great and fresh well prepared. karahi and kebabs are very tasty.

Ordered vegetarian thali. Comes with 2 Currys, half naan and rice.Good stuff -Food was really tasty.Cheap option.Improvment -Curry portions was too small to be eaten with Naan and Rice portions. So, by the end of it you will be left with rice and naan with no curry.Packaging was average.Definitely going to try more food options there.

This is my favourite restaurant. Such a great homestyle authentic Indian or Pakistani food. i often eat here and mostly order the family deals which is very good amount of food in less money. Their curries and barbecue is very delicious and freshly cooked.

I had a great time eating delicious food at this restaurant. The staff was committed to great service and very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and i liked the way of traditional decoration. Most importantly, every food and cuisine has a very good taste. I highly recommended this place for enjoying good meal.

Discovered yesterday while driving by. Beautiful Pakistani truck art. We ordered meal for 2 substituted nihaari from butter chicken (as Indians make it better). Kababs were delicious and nihaari was good. Ginger and green chilies garnish would’ve made it better. Naans were amazing. We decided to order veg thaali as well which came with channa masala and mixed veggies with rice and naan. Very good and everything tasted fresh. Spent less than $50 for everything. We will go back again for sure. Great find on August 14th. Pakistan Zindabad!

Beautiful decor and amazing staff with brilliant efficient service.Food is always fantastic no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal.I have found that their Biryani is very tasty and Chicken Kabab veryyy delicious.Daal makhni melts in your mouth and fresh naan taste great. Absolutely the best food I ever had in Canada. Kheer as dessert is icing on a cake!Prices are very reasonable as well.I would highly recommend!!!

Went here twice, got the chicken kabab wrap one time and the beef kabab wrap the other time. They were both hot, fresh, and spicy, not to mention very large! Great Pakistani food and great atmosphere, keep it up guys! Everyone give them a try, I will be back hopefully soon

I’ve been trying biryani from various restaurants in the area. They all came up short. The chicken biryani was really good. Fluffy flavourful, a bit of a kick, and tasty. Not soggy nor too dry.

They serves the best south asian food in town. U can taste and smell the original desi spices. Keep up the good work.

I brought biriyani and wraps today. Both taste disgusting. Meat was old and dry even raita was spoiled. Waste of money. Both wraps were soaked in oil.Never going to order again.Really bad.Please learn how to make proper Biriyani.

Me and my sister called to place an order however we were not sure as to what to get. The staff was so kind and patient with us. Eventually we ordered multiple items that were suggested to us. The food was very flavourful and authentic! Will definitely be coming back here again.I highly recommend the butter chicken, chicken kebabs and the lamb chops!

Amazing food and great customer service. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and price is very reasonable with the special student discount. Their naan is the best naan i’ve eaten in this area. I also ordered kebab, butter chicken, and biryani & it was all very delicious. Will be back again to try more items on the menu.

Disappointed. Was visiting them for the second time because I liked the samosa chaat when I visited them for the first time. Got half chicken Chargha today. And the chicken was completely dry. Even the frozen chicken from Freshco tastes better. I wish the restaurant could offer some sort of reimbursement because I had very high hopes with the only indian/pakistani cuisine in the neighbourhood. Would revisit in future and change the review if the food’s better next time.Kind regards,

We ordered lahori chargha today. It was not that good. No flavour, no taste at all. It is like those cooked chicken sold in freshco or food basics. I hope the restaurant works on their cooking to make it our worth.

I ordered Daal makhni, tandoori chicken tikka and nihari beef. It was all terrible. Chicken was dry and flavourless, nihari beef was all oil and the daal makhni was flavourless. Wish I could give less than one star. Will never go there again

Tried it for the 1st time today, and found it to be very good, Allhamdolillah. Qty and taste was well received, online ordering was very easy and food was ready earlier than expected. Great customer service at the front counter. MashAllah keep up the good work, and hopefully there will be more response from community. Tried chaplee and gola kabab and will try more dishes soon InshaAllah.

Got a warning on my car after going upstairs to eat my food. The food was decent, but I dont want my car to get towed while Im trying to eat, so I wont be returning.

First and last try. Unfortunately the butter chicken lacked flavour and tasted more like oil then anything else. Its too new of a place to be putting this out.Ratings are high, but that was misleading.

Absolutely disgusting food got my order wrong... food had no flavor Dahl had no tarka you put indian food to shame. Come on if you are going to open a indian restaurant at least make sure you can cook it properly. Dont waste your money. So disappointed!!! Chicken Korma full of oil no sauce. Dahl no flavor or salt biryani tasteless rice was mush. Waste of money had to go get McDonalds instead.

Enticing name.new place Caught my eye...1st time ordering for family....i was skeptical...It Felt little pricy😬.. ..Got A takeAway (covid n all)But .......M I N D . . . B L O W I N G.... Taste and quality....For me....even if 1 item is good...its a Winner...But They had Every Item....screaming WINNER..,.And I found It was only 3 days OLD...Only taste can get me this.... excited.I pray/wish they maintain the taste Standard....Im hooked.....
