Desert Thistle in Parowan

We had such a beautiful time staying at the Desert Thistle. The view from the backyard is breathtaking. Lorri and Neil (and their pupare the greatest hosts. They know the area very well and have many excellent recommendations. Looking forward to visiting again!

Lovely place to stay, even more lovely hosts. Was super clean with amazing gathering areas, comfy beds, and knowledgeable hosts who just want you to have the best time ever on your trip. Genuinely would come all the way back here just to stay at Desert Thistle again.

The hospitality was off the chart! Lorri and Neil were amazing hosts. The setting is tranquil and relaxing.

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Desert Thistle Inn for three nights a the beginning of May 2021. The Desert Thistle Inn is a lovely little place and we will be delighted to keep coming back every time we explore Zion National Park. Maureen is very accommodating and knowledgeable. The inn is very clean, quaint and beautiful and reasonably priced. The small amount of rooms available allows for great socializing in the sunroom or on the pool deck with very cool people (or Maureen!and the view of the stars from the pool deck chairs are unparalleled!Maureen called me as soon as we landed in Las Vegas and gave me precise instructions to navigate to Desert Thistle in the dark- her caring personality and attention to detail made for a worry free visit!The location is ideal- a short drive away from the park entrance and town, but far enough away that you can enjoy the desert night sky without tons of light pollution.I would highly recommend The Desert Thistle!

Simply said, we absolutely loved our stay and wish we could give Desert Thistle more than 5 stars. My boyfriend and I stayed at The Desert Thistle for 2 nights while visiting Zion National Park late May. Maureen was extremely accommodating, kind and welcoming the minute we arrived. She is so dedicated to her guests, and staying with her felt like a home away from home. Everything was extremely clean, comfortable and charming - with all amenities you could need. Unbeatable location, 5 minute drive from Zion, and just outside of the main downtown to allow for a peaceful retreat once youre done enjoying the downtown / park. The pool was an absolute delight after a day of hiking - something none of the other B&Bs in the area have. If youre visiting the area, this is by far one of the best places to stay, and were looking forward to staying with Maureen again and recommending The Desert Thistle to all of our family / friends. The best part about our stay was getting to know Maureen - she is truly such an incredible person with a heart of gold. We already miss her and cannot wait to visit again!

12/10 experience. Maureen is very personable and welcoming. She was available for anything we needed and had great recommendations! Very easy to talk to and easy going. We stayed in the anniversary room, which was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. We had plenty of hot water each day. She even had biolage shampoo & conditioner with a full size hair dryer! Her place was a very short drive into the park. The pool was the perfect place to wind down after a long day of hiking. Overall we would absolutely stay with her again! Thank you so much for the hospitality, Maureen. ❤️❤️

Very cute bed and breakfast. Rooms are private and such a cute coffee area. Seriously the absolute best sleep Ive ever had as the beds were beyond comfy. I need the recipe! Maureen was flexible with our check-in and is a very attentive host. We stayed in the Canyon King

I have never written a review for anything but I had such an amazing experience at Desert Thistle that I have to share! Maureen’s place is so beautifully and home-y. The place is comfortable and clean and has great amenities. The location is perfect, it is a short drive to Zion entrance and restaurants and shops, but just enough out of town that it is quiet and less touristy. As a local, Maureen gave great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. If you are visiting Zion I would strongly encourage you to support a local business and stay here!!

We love the Tuscany and peaceful environment that Maureen and Warner have created at The Desert Thistle. Everything about this bed and breakfast is inviting and is the closest thing to home!! We wouldnt stay anywhere else thank you for your kindness!!!

Small but homely. Itll basically be your home with coffee makers, microwave, waterheater, and coffee and tea. The breakfast part is a voucher to a local place for breakfast. That place serves really good breakfast.

We’ve stayed here twice and we’ve loved it both times. We’ll stay again next time we’re in the area. The owner is so kind and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend some time at Zion. It’s become our home away from home.

I wish I could give Desert Thistle more than just 5 stars. I have no words for how beautiful Desert Thistle is. Maureen, who runs and owns the bed and breakfast goes beyond the Customer Service you see anywhere else. She knows the area and was helpful in finding the free parking to see Zions. Made sure we had everything we needed. This is my second time being here and I’m looking forward to coming back again. By far the best place to stay in town! My only complaint is that the bed is sooo comfy that I didn’t want to get out of it!

This place was amazing. My husband and I stayed here in late September 2016 for our first wedding anniversary. It was perfect for what we wanted. Wonderful location, right at the mouth of the canyon so it was very easy to drive in and out. Not too close to the town, so it was quiet. Beautiful house, lovely rooms, super friendly owner, and every morning we got a voucher to drive into town and have a free breakfast at a participating restaurant. We had a mini fridge in our room which was great, and lots of DVDs that we could watch in our room at night and relax after a long day of hiking. This place is conveniently close to town, but there was still lots of wildlife to be seen - we saw numerous cute lizards in the rocks and saw a gray fox right in the driveway one night. It was amazing!!!

The owners are very caring and personable. They check on if everything is okay and if you need anything. Beautiful rooms, beautiful scenery, wonderful spirits and attitudes. Thank you for the amazing experience!

Absolutely wonderful stay! Room was clean and elegant. Living area open and seats several groups. Wonderful sun room/eating area that has 24 hour snacks and beverages. Good size pool, bbq area, and several seating areas that overlook the garden and one of the most beautiful views of zion.

We absolutely loved our 2 night stay at the Desert Thistle! When we arrived we were greeted with a hug from Maureen before being shown our absolutely beautiful rooms! The beds are amazingly comfy and the bathrooms are fantastic! Everything was very clean! The pool was beautiful and such a bonus to relax outside after a very hot walk in Zion. The views from the pool and outdoor area are stunning to say the least! It was so sad to leave Maureen and Warner after 2 days. Thankyou so much guys for making our stay the best 2 nights of our 4 week USA trip! Were so glad we decided to visit Zion Canyon! Hope to see you again!

Comfortable stay for two nights.

Accueil charmant de Maureen. Très bon confort. Un peu cher mais beaucoup moins qualentour. Et breakfast gargantuesque compris. On recommande. Et big hug à Maureen :-)

On honeymoon. Cheaper then other smaller rooms in the neighbourhood. Very luxury, very nice people and nothing to complain about. Nice!!

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and it was an amazing, wonderful, SPECTACULAR experience! Maureen greeted us with a hug and was very warm, friendly, and welcoming. We stayed in the anniversary room with the jetted tub. It was the most luxurious experience Ive ever had. I can hardly wait to go back on our anniversary next year. Thank you for making my honeymoon everything Ive ever dreamed of and MORE! :)
