Desco Lounge in Acocks Green

This is the best place for food, coffee, atmosphere, quirky decor, comfort and the best attitude care and attention from staff.

Had full English breaky. Very nice, quality ingredients, warm plate, great coffee in decent size mug. Will come again when Im in Shirley.

Really nice place with a good atmosphere. Be warned it gets very full Monday to Saturday, Ive tried before and could get a seat. We went on a Sunday for the first time, which was quieter. Food was excellent, delicious and there was plenty of choices.Update:Visited 8/11/22Yep I love this place. Visit and enjoy the food and atmosphere 👍🏽

Always a great atmosphere in Desco, no matter what time of the day. The staff are lovely, the food delicious. Great place to meet with friends. Great coffee and drinks selection. Tapas is my favourite. A definite go to in Shirley ... and you can take your dawgie too! Win win!

Came here for a family get together meal and had a fantastic time.The food was really tasty and nothing like what Ive had before.The place was decorated beautifully and had a really laid back atmosphere,the meal wasnt rushed and the staff were very attentive. Only negative to the night was the draft beer wasnt working but there are plenty more drinks too go at .Definitely a place Id recommend and go again if I was in Shirley!!!!

Great food !Called into this place as a restaurant next door was closed for a re-furb. Well Im glad it was because this place was faultless. The Tapas were as good as ive had (including in Spain). Place was clean, staff very friendly.Definately a place I will be going back to soon

Its a lovely place. I like the style and atmosphere. Just dropped in for a quick cuppa but have eaten here in the past. It beats the usual places hands down.

Food taste was ok. Did not have to wait long for food & quickly served. The food was fresh & piping hot. The food was served on the coffee table which had sofa to be seated & kids had to sit in the ottoman seats. Not too comfortable to sit and have dinner. Price was expensive for the quality & quantity of food they gave. The ambiance was good & had a vintage look. Pets were allowed and causing too much noise while eating for the customers. Overall an ok experience.

Cant say much about the staff. One wasnt friendly at all. Let down.Food is no where worth the price.OVERPRICED.Was not impressed by the food at all.Only positive is it is clean

We had 8 brunches. They were all nice and had a good flavour. The flat white was awful. They may be using clifton coffee roasters but when the milk is steamed hotter than mars, no coffee will taste good. One star off for the coffee. In fairness, I should have said something and allow them the chance to remake it and redeem themselves.

Went out for a meal here for my birthday, loved it! Meal was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful!

Nice particular place with good sweets and gentle service.We went just to have some coffees, cakes and churos. All was made to good standards.Place is very clean, nicely decorated and with nice background music.Surely a good place to handout with friends and family.

A lovely bar with a good atmosphere and an extensive menu. Reasonably priced, tasty food. Staff are friendly and pleasant. Dog friendly. Only 4 stars as it get very noisy and echoey so it can be difficult to hold a conversation.

If you like mediocre coffee served in dirty cups with filthy spoons while paying premium price, then you will love it here, on the flip side staff are nice.

Good service and food was beautiful. I think it was a little unprofessional when one member of staff was eating at the till and paying no attention to the customers. I think it would be a good idea to wear name badges also so if you have a problem you know the staff member is.

My company has been collecting large takeaway orders for our crew weekly, the past 4 months from Desco Lounge. The food is always excellent and tasty, hence the repeated ordering. The staff were always really helpful and made sure that any requests were fulfilled. Thanks for the great service :)

I quite like this place. The food is nice, the atmosphere is usually pretty friendly and there is an ok selection. Of drinks. Its a little pricier than other places nearby and Ive found the service to not be very quick, hence dropping 1 star.

Very nice place and friendly service but they gave us a dirty spoon to go with the tea. Other than that, the food was delicious!

Lovely atmosphere and decor. Dined after lunch today manager and staff downstairs were fantastic and so professional in dealing with an unwell person at our table and spillages . Even replaced my drink without being asked . Thank you so much I’m very impressed and grateful!

Good vegan menu. Small tapas-like dishes available. Order at table using app. Best of all, it was dog friendly and two dogs joined me for dinner!

I love desco lounge. I have been here many times and enjoy the range of drinks. The food is also good and they have good veggi options.At the moment you can scan and order to your table which is good. The prices are as you would expect not too high but not a spoons.The decor in desco lounge is fun and quirky. Staff are always very helpful and polite and they make good cocktails.I like going here after a walk in the park with the dogs during the summer but the road spoils it a little and normally only stay for 1 or 2 drinks and maybe a snack.Desco also do a breakfast/brunch which is very good. Limited parking outside but the asda nearby has a large underground car park.

Very cosy and friendly ambiance! Ideal for large gatherings. We were celebrating civil wedding of our friends and enjoyed our gathering at this beautiful place. Service - high level!

My partner and I visited Desco Lounge on 30/12/21 with our two pugs. The service we received was brilliant. The chef provided our two pugs a dog friendly meal. It is truly appreciated. Literally the worse place I have ever been, from the walk in all staff was sat on the table by the door doing nothing. I had macaroni cheese with brocoli, my niece could of cooked them better. Payed 47 pounds, 2 hours after my stomach start churning followed by diharea. I will never put my foot there 😤 🤢🤮I would have better meal at Wetherspoons

When the weather is glorious, sitting in the comfortable outdoor area on Shirleys high street is a joy. There a steady hum of traffic just far away enough to add a calming background noise (admittedly, interupted by kids hooning around in modified cars for sporadic periods).Lounges offer comfort, convenience and quality. It was a 4 star experience, but when the staff member offered an ear and chat, it made my day and pushed this into the stratospheric 5 star realm.

So to be able to leave this review I will have to take you back to last night. I went to sainsburys to get some vodka and they had a great offer for a litre bottle so I got it (although it doesnt matter to this review Im sure you want to know - it was raspberry flavouredand between me and joey we drank this whole bottle plus some beers. I was up drinking til 3am so not feeling the best. Although drunk me is great with the kids, we played and danced and ran round, legit fun morning but that could be the vodka talking. I had to take my car into service so thought it best to meet my awesome sister Emma for some shopping. Then like a Knight in shining armour from a distance I saw me long term bestie grace who works at desco (that part is relevant the the reviewanyway long story short we ate and it was good.

Loved the interior and the space 👍 Desco lounge breakfast or brunch is our favourite.

Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere and friendly service! A lovely family friendly place to have a catch up over some quality food. Can be quite busy and food can sometimes take a little longer than expected on the weekends but the food is delicious and makes it worthwhile! Parking is available on the high street or in the Asda car park which is round the corner.Theres plenty of unique art on the walls and character to the decor to keep you entertained. We especially enjoyed the reading corner with comfortable wing back chairs if you fancy a moment to sit and read with a pot of tea and some cake. Also a selection of toys to keep little ones entertained.Try the mac n cheese or the vegetarian breakfast 😉👌

Id give Desco Lounge 10 stars if I could. Been several times because the food is absolutely amazing and always hits the spot. Never fails to disappoint. Plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians too. Play area for kids, board games, dog friendly, and even a book share!! So quirky and amazing! A firm favourite! Food can take a while sometimes, but the staff are really nice and tell you before you order.

They have a seperate menu for vegans and I tried the "vegan beyond cheeseburger". I really enjoyed it and would recommend to go there as a vegan. There are also tasty non vegan options. I did have the " orange chocolate torte" for dessert and I did not enjoy that at all, the ratio of chocolate to orange crumb was completely wrong. However overall I enjoyed the place and would go there again.

Lovely cosy and homely establishment. Has a nice vibe and friendly staff. the more you go the more the staff get to know you. Its slightly expensive for food and some drinks but the food is lovely. Love this place and I keep going back so Ive upgraded to 5 stars!

Great food also a good selection of vegan choices which are a nice change to meat sometimes. Tapas is reasonable price too. The chain of these restaurants are great all very different but very similar.

The tapas is especially nice here, and great for sharing so we had 6 tapas items between 2 people, and shared a main meal. Gorgeous food indeed! The drinks were great and the variety here is excellent. They have an outstanding gluten free menu and lots of choice for veggies and vegans. The sherbert lemonade is to die for (I highly recommend and I often pop in to get a take away flat white. Service is great from the friendly staff and I was also pleased to learn they allow dogs in here too! cant get much better than that!

Nice busy atmosphere, great decor, took a while for the food to arrive, we only ordered basic toast with marmite and a bacon sandwich and they arrived luke warm, but not a big problem, still nice.

Really chilled out lounge. They do great food and have a completely separate vegan and vegetarian menu (vegan jackfruit burger in picture)They have board games you can play, books you can read and a childrens corner. Theyre also dog-friendly!Music is varied, if a little quiet when its busy. It can get quite busy Thursday - Saturday. Monday and Tuesday evenings are quieter and great for doing a little work in a relaxed atmosphere.

One of the many Loungers cafes, great for coffee and snacks although they do serve mains too.Personally I love the decor and prefer the ambience in the evenings. Good venue for catch up meets and the music isnt so loud you have to shout over it.Friendly staff, polite and accommodating.Convenient parking just behind in Parkgate asda.

A really nice bar, have been here quite a few times. Cosy atmosphere, great selection of drinks and cocktails. Food menu also good, tapas, burgers etc.

Lovely place, with good vibes, decent food and interesting decor!All Lounges that we have been to, have never really disappointed.The Lounges in Sutton Coldfield, Wylde Green and Liverpool City Centre have all been ACE!our visit was in May 2018 - amazing bank holiday weekend weather :P
