Large windows bring ample light into this modern cafe serving an inventive breakfast and lunch menu.
Lovely place. Nice and complete menu with several dishes. Portions are fine however price is a bit high.Staff are kind and polite. Recommended for quick lunch or an early dinner.
Absolutely delicious!! Fresh juices, amazing coffee and the most delicious plant based food! Everything is made with love, you can taste it.
Food was great. In the photo: Walnut and beetroot risotto and polenta fries. Both were awesome. I have to point out the truffle mayonnaise which gave a great touch to the polenta fries. We sat at a sidewalk table on a very lovely day and really enjoyed the views.
From light and fresh to hearty and fried, there’s something for everyone. Every dish has unique flavours, so try and get a few plates to share for the best experience. A small place with homely, yet modern decor makes for a great spot for 2-4 people.
-Little cosy vegan restaurant with really gourmet menu. I had beetroot risotto which was nice and represented beautifully.- Nice gesture by the restaurant giving chocolate almond snack bag on visitors way out.-Quite pricey, but I guess the area dictates it.-Not impressed by customer service, too little attention, long wait to be served, and also waitresses didnt look presentable - all of them wore denim jeans and different kind of tops (including sparkly shiny crop tops), which not only didnt look smart and neat, but also you wouldnt differentiate them from the visitors.
Absolutely amazing food as usual, I had the pleasure to eat before the big change and I have say. I prefer the old system. It was a long way better, more options, better service. We had to wait 15min to receive the menu and long way more than receive the food. It looks like it was only 1 girl doing everything (who has amazing customer servicewe have All the books from Ella and we trust the food and apply the recipes in our lives. I would give 5 stars but you have to look after this Ella!😊🙌🏽
Nice spot in an illustrious part of town. I had the butterbean and fennel stew main. It was more a soup with mainly sour notes. It tasted pleasant but not sure it was deserving of the £18 price tag... My friend had the aubergine main. She seemed happy with it. The staff were well-meaning if somewhat inexperienced. I would not be rushing back.
Butterbeans: tasty and well seasoned breakfast dish. The spicy avocado was too acidic, and the greens were also too citrusy.Oat porridge: hearty breakfast. Should have been more of the fruit compote.Refreshing breakfast drinks.Really cosy and quiet atmosphere.
We always treat ourselves to a meal at plants however, this time there werent many gluten-free options to choose from compared previously. On top of that, they also ran out of ingredients so I was only able to have 1-2 large plates to choose from. Please can you make a Gluten-free menu so youre able to have the same relaxing experience as your loved ones without having a tablesheet to work out which dishes you can have and they actually have in. The price we were paying felt more than usual since the portions were silly small...The carrots dish was okay compared to the rest and very expensive for the portion. I was shocked when it arrived at £12.50 for a small starter (sauce and slithered carrot NOT EVEN A FULL CARROT or even organic for £12.50and way too much oil (a lot in many dishes than our previous trip). Also was recommended by the waitress to order x2 small carrot plates as theyre gluten-free as my main meal which Im glad I didnt take the advice that wouldnt have been filling - with more sauce than substance it would have been silly too- total would be more than a main meal and not my fault limited options. We also had our tonic drinks however, usually, its an extravagant display of berries and mint leaves, etc. This time my rhubarb and ginger tonic just had a piece of ginger and no taste of rhubarb, and the apple tonic had no display of toppings. However, the atmosphere was very calming and a nice break from the outside hustle-bustle and staff were welcoming and friendly. The dishes didnt feel healthy anymore so much oil. We also bought our favourite Deliciously Ella snacks on the way out we love supporting a family run business but sad I feel disappointed on my latest experience and changed my perspective on Deliciously Ella as a brand and family run business that I really looked up too. #UPDATE the majority of their branded snacks are now filled with rapeseed oil and sunflower instead of just coconut oil. Gutted. A brand I can no longer trust, doing things on the cheap.
Visited Plants last Friday with my two best friends. Absolutely loved it! The atmosphere, warm service and incredible food was exactly what I was expecting since I was already a big fan of Deliciously Ella! Highly recommend it - if you think plant-based food is boring, this place will change your mind! Also love that there arent any processed, meat imitations on the menu, which Im not a big fan of. The focus is really on the veggies. Loved it :)
Soo good! I loved the food. Has it’s price but totally worth it. We went for Breakfast and dinner and everything was delicious.
Can highly recommend this place. The staff was so friendly!I had the vanilla pancakes + an iced coffee with almond milk. The pancakes were delicious and fluffy.Thank you for the lovely breakfast.Greetings from Zurich, Switzerland.
Ive followed Deliciously Ella for years, love experimenting with her recipes, so had been looking forward to Plants. Really enjoyed the experience and cant wait to recreate the dishes at home. Loved the asparagus/dill salsa starter and the chocolate torte, which I hoped would last forever! The risotto was a little more average in flavour. The decor is beautiful and staff were great. Overall a little pricey, but grateful to have experienced Ellas food. Thank you!
We stopped in while in London for dinner. The food was good but quite unremarkable. My favourite dishes, and we tried them all, were the Caesar Salad and the Summer Stew. If you’re a Vegan I’m sure this place is splendid, as an omnivore there are many other places to try before I come back. Also if you go on a hot day you run a real risk of sweating to death, I was so incredibly hot.
I was in London on holiday and have been following Deliciously Ella for years and have their cookbooks and app. My friend made a reservation at Plants and it was as great as it’s always looked online. The ambiance was great, staff kind and helpful, delicious food and an easy to use allergy guide. I even loved using the washroom in the basement and meeting the kitchen staff. I’d really recommend this restaurant even if you don’t always eat plant based, super flavourful!
Nice spot to sit alone and people watch out the window.Fair warning they close in the middle of the day.Asparagus is awesome (small plate). The risotto argues with itself: is it sweet, is it spicy, is it fresh??? The good news is that it is a large dish and with my glass of rose’ I was able to enjoy each bite for the flavor it offered. The peanuts added a nice crunch for texture.
Good vibe in a middle of Mayfair. We came here for a little break after shopping nearby. We’re not vegans but the desserts and tea we ordered were very high quality and aesthetic. Obviously the price is quite high but it’s worth it.
Visited Plants for lunch. Food was ok but expensive for what you get.Big fan of Ella so a bit disappointed with the overall experience (lovely staff by the way). Overall confusing concept with the choice of menu items, selection of music and the decor. It’s obviously recently renovated but I don’t think it fits with Ella’s brand at all. Sad to say but I won’t be coming back for lunch again.
How exciting!! I went to Ella’s restaurant on June 11 around 17:00 for coffee and dessert. The staff was very polite and accommodating, everyone had a smile on their lips and looked pleased to be working there. As for the dessert, let’s just say that if their was no one around me I would have picked up the bowl to lick the bottom! Hats off, it was delicious!Your restaurant was everything I expected and very classy and very clean.Thank you for the experience. I will be back.
I was very happy with my blueberry pancakes with chocolate sauce. They were quite gooey and filling due to the chia seeds inside, not too sweet and were perfectly complemented by the sauce and berries. The only thing was that I thought that blueberries would be inside the pancakes, but they were actually served on the side (but the taste was great nevertheless). Toasted coconut flakes on top added a nice crunch too. My friend had chia pudding and we both thought it was tasty. Coffee was very average and a bit too hot, but overall I really enjoyed my meal!
No devices allowed strict rule 🤯🫢- Good food, plant based (yay!friendly staff… of course prices match the Mayfair area but nice treat. In general it’s all good except, they have a “strict” rule over using iPads, devices or laptops 🤯😂 doesn’t matter if you are eating solo. Have a booking or anything… it is a strict rule. (Don’t tell them I wrote this from a device 🤫 or the device police will come and get me)
Lovely, friendly service. Breakfast food was fresh and great portion sizes. Simple and tasty. Lovely atmosphere.
Great service, authentic ambience, delicious food.Enjoyed many aspects of this restaurant!Probably some of the portions could be bigger to have more satisfied costumers.
So disappointed, was actually expecting the same quality their products have, this was not it.We went for the brunch, we had to wait over half an hour even though the restaurant was empty, as you can see in the pictures. The “blueberry pancakes” were burnt black (my friend had burnt streaks on her lips with each bite), and there were almost no blueberries, mostly chocolate sauce.I got avocado on toast, it was ok, they didn’t have rocket so I was offered chopped tomatoes, overall it’s something you can make at home.As you can see we didn’t enjoy our food of experience, and just left. Shame, we went out our way to go visit but we were let down.I can’t say I’d recommend this place unfortunately. 2 stars for the staff who are friendly, can’t blame the food on them.
Fantastic place for anyone. You really do not need to be vegan to appreciate this restaurant: the food is delicious. On this visit, the occasion was a relaxed business lunch. We had wild garlic risotto, sliders and broccoli as a side. Everything was perfectly cooked, well paired and beautifully presented (loved the crockery). The service was lovely, informal and effortless. The dining room is beautiful but, since the weather was great, we dined out and what a great location! This restaurant is located on a quiet street just behind Bond Street, perfect for al fresco dining. Will definitely visit again :)
I’m a big fan of Ella Mills and her business empire. I use her app religiously and always feel happy with the outcome when I prepare her recipes. I’ve come to her restaurant twice & both times I was disappointed with my meal. On second try, I got the pancakes. I figured they should be delicious, considering how many pancake recipes Ella has on her app. I also made them at home & they were yummy. However, the ones in the restaurant have a terrible texture: mushy, with undercooked dough. Quite frankly, I couldn’t finish them. In the full English breakfast, the black pudding is very dry in texture. I think the place can be quite hit or miss, depending on the chef. Certainly recommend that Ella tastes the food in the restaurant more often as it’s not at the same level as her recipes on the app.
Fairly expensive, but a yummy vegan restaurant. Cute, cosy interior and has nice outdoor seating too. I would highly recommend the sourdough bread w/ cultured butter, the lentil spaghetti and the cashew pumpkin dish. Thnk the prices are a bit excessive, especially for the desserts and some of the small plates. I know it’s common for elite London restaurants to add service charge but I don’t like the way they go about imposing it. When we were deciding how to split the bill, the server said ‘and will you be splitting the service charge into two then’ as if it were implied that we had to pay it. They also added a £2 surcharge to the bill for a Ukrainian Charity without informing us beforehand. This added fee seemed quite sly, and I don’t like the way they try to guilt trip you into giving money to a cause they support. I think they go wrong in trying to make a customer’s meal into a charitable action. If the customer decides to donate they’re likely to be uninformed about where or who that money goes to or what the charity actually does. If the business wanted to donate to that cause, I’m sure with the prices they charge and the restaurant often being fully booked they would be able to do so of their own volition; Such as many high-end restaurants have done throughout the pandemic, by closing down their kitchens to customers so that they could use them to cook and donate food to people in need of it. On top of the restaurant already being quite expensive and serving smaller portions, it just doesn’t feel appropriate. In addition, the last time I booked a table here with a friend we felt the service was not very welcoming and was trying to rush us out to free up our table. Beyond this, most of the food tastes lovely and the ethical and wellbeing intentions in a high-end plant-based restaurant are cool. Overall, by adjusting the prices slightly, the service and additional charges, this place could become 5-star worthy.
Lazily prepared mediocre food. ‘Fried corn’ starter was a bowl of store bought corn nuts, while the Caesar salad was two large pieces of lettuce drenched in sauce with bland croutons on top. I recommend passing on this place.
Travelled to London to visit my son. Had to pop in as I have followed Ella for some years now. It was just lovely.
Genuinely feel sorry to have been so disappointed. Ive been following Ella for a while and find her inspirational, so I was really excited to go for a treat and enjoy an healthy and balanced meal at Plants. Unfortunately I left the restaurant still hungry after having paid 16£ for a gem salad (literally - not even slicedwith couple of croutons, two spoons of sauce and two thin slices of aubergine crisps (described in the menu as "bacon".. quite a long shot in my humble opinion). My friend got the delica pumpkin, a really small portion and missing main nutrients - or anything that would fill your stomach. Location is cosy but not enough to make me pay a total bill of over 40£ and barely no food. I tried many vegan restaurants and never felt so hungry afterwards.. if youre supposed to take more than one large plate in a tapas concept, staff should let you know.
Expensive but worth it.The small plates were our favorites, the mushroom scallops and the aubergine were super delicious and the plating was gorgeous.Out of the Main plates, the Barley risotto was the best. The flavours, the different textures and colours were beautifully balanced. The pasta dishes (spaghetti with chestnut raggu and the mac and cheesewere more "normal" and not so surprising in flavour but tasty overall. The desserts were also a good surprise, the chocolate babka was a good portion and super tasty, the vanilla and blood orange mille feuilles was light, fresh and crunchy (perfect for me).It was a beautiful all plants based meal, with no processed ingredients or fake meats, just plant magic. The service was also good. The prices are a bit on the high side, but it is all organic and also located in Mayfair so I wasntexpecting cheap...When they change the menu Ill go back for sure.
Loved my visit! Definitely one of the nicest vegan restaurants I’ve been to. Great variety of dishes: sides, mains, starters were delicious and colourful. The staff was also really welcoming, thanks!
Really delicious food. We had the bread with cultured butter which was so good, really wish we knew how to make this butter at home, delicious sourdough flatbreads. For main courses we had the ragu spaghetti and barley risotto both of which were absolutely delicious. I’m unsure about the previous reviews saying portions were small ours were very generous and we were so full we were unable to treat ourselves to pudding. We had two sides of Cabbage with tahini crème fraiche and charred broccoli which we both agreed was the best broccoli we’d ever eaten (sorry mum). The restaurant is quite small but it makes for a nice atmosphere and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive.
Amazing amazing vegan food such wonderful tastes that explode in your mouth! Starters and mains were the best, desert could do with a bit of work to match it.
Fantastic lunch! Three of us ordered more than needed but we knew we weren’t coming back for awhile and wanted to taste several items. The mushrooms (starter), broccoli (sideand the cauliflower schnitzel (mainwere simply brilliant. Those were our favourites. The spaghetti, Mac n cheese were very good. The Paloma drink and the two desserts (apple crumble and babkawere very good as well. I wish this restaurant would open a location in Canada… sadly we live in a wasteland for delicious vegan options.
It was absolutely delicious, what a wonderful experience! Pretty much tried everything on the menu and nothing disappointed us! Its definitely not cheap but from our point of view it was worth every penny! Ive seen a lot of comments before going complaining about the service or the quantity of food, neither was a problem to us. I think the portions were relatively generous and the service was polite and just what youd expect. Cannot wait to come again, definitely my favourite place in London. My vegetarian heart is whole again. See you soon!
We’ve been huge fans of DE for quite some time, so we could not miss the chance to visit the restaurant in our visit to London. We loved every bit of it, the place is very comfy, service is great, and food did not disappoint. It was great to taste the real deal :a bit on the pricey side, but it makes sense given the location. Looking forward to coming again and trying the new menu!
I loved the dishes!Wish I could have tried more of them. The sourdough flatbread (not picturedis amazing! You have to wait about 10 mins but comes warm. Also, can’t believe that the chocolate babka is vegan. A MUST try.I will come back for more.
Nice little quiet place by Oxford Street.Went there late, kitchen closed 😐 But, had chips … yummy! And all 4 deserts on offer… each one was amazingly tasty. A Must visit for Vegans 👌 … and even if you aren’t one 😎
My friend and I booked for lunch and had the most amazing 3 course meal! The vibe was immaculate from start to finish and staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and lived up to the hype!! The spiced carrots, Ragu and chocolate torte were especially enjoyable! Will definitely be back for more.
This was my first visit to Deliciously Ella since it went fully vegan - Id heard good things about it so thought Id pay a visit for lunch. I only wanted something small, so I went for two small plates - the Isle of Wight Tomatoes and the flatbread with cultured house butter (the butter was very good!and a glass of wine. Although I enjoyed the food , I thought it was over-priced for what it was. I will re-visit to try some of the other options, as I want to support vegan businesses. A note to staff - "you could be friendlier and more welcoming."
Lives up to the hype; you’ll enjoy it whether you are a vegan or not. Everything was delicious especially the broccoli, fried cabbage and the spaghetti ragu as main. Very reasonably priced in my opinion, £150 for 4 with drinks and service charge. We will be back for brunch menu for sure. Well done Ella !
My wife and I visited for dinner last night, with a booked table reservation for 7.45pm. When we arrived, there was a lack of a warm welcome. We could see all the tables were occupied, which I felt was a bit naughty considering we had a reservation. We were asked to sit at the bar table and wait. Whilst waiting, we were offered water and a look at the menu - which I thought was good, however there was no apology for making us wait 15 minutes for our table. The decor is lovely and definitely suits the Deliciously Ella brand. The restaurant is very small with just a handful of tables, which I quite liked. Very different from most places. I was not a fan of the minimal table settings unfortunately. With just the cutlery and two wooden salt/pepper grinders, the table lacked any personality or sense of luxury that you’d expect in this part of town, especially given the price point for the dishes and service charge here.We ordered the King Oyster Mushroom Scallops, to start which were beautifully presented. They were lukewarm when served and cold whilst eating them. They were nice, the carrot jelly was my favourite element of this dish. Nobody came to check if our food was ok so I waiting to ask about the temperature when our plate was cleared. The response from the waiter was that, the scallops should be warm not hot. I explained that they were cold, but again, no apology. For mains, we ordered the Red Wine Ragu and the Cauliflower Schnitzel, accompanied by the Miso Mac’n’Cheese and the Homemade Chips. The ragu was lovely, flavoursome and generously portioned. The cauliflower was tangy and crunchy, we enjoyed this as was quite different to what we expected. Unfortunately, I had to send the mac’n’cheese back as it was cold. I was provided with a new one but similarly, no actual apology which at this point was odd to me. We finished the evening with the Chocolate Torte - it tasted as gorgeous as it looked. We have eaten at quite a few vegan restaurants now and I would say it’s probably on the same level as elsewhere, if not ever so slightly below. But for a new restaurant, it was good (food-wise). I think if they listen to the reviews and take them on board, they will improve and be amazing in the future.A 12.5% service charge was included on our bill, which upon reflection of the service we received, was too high. The young waitresses/waiters need better training on being confident when serving and moving around, plus manners and warm when greeting/interacting with guests. And please apologise to your customers when the food is cold or when you’ve been keeping them waiting for a table they’ve booked.Overall, a nice experience but I wouldn’t come back here anytime soon. Perhaps a little further down the line when the menu and staff are more established.P.S the pack of Deliciously Ella choc almonds that accompanied our bill was a nice touch.
Food is very delicious. Creativity, flavors, presentation, balance of taste were on point for each dish. Portions are good. I thought it was a great value for price. Service is very good too. We had a lovely experience.
Absolutely delicious food. We visited last night and had the cured tomatoes, grilled spiced carrots, king oyster mushroom scallops, charred corn risotto, chestnut and walnut ragu, and the mac and cheese - everything was amazing. Great portion sizes, gorgeous flavours. My absolute fave were the carrots and ragu. Finished with the chocolate babka and chocolate torte - both incredible but the babka - wow. Totally recommend to everyone - you dont need to be a vegan to enjoy this, 100% for everyone! Great service, lovely restaurant, just wonderful.
Excellent food, great decor. Service was good, but could be improved on. They do take long to clear plates from the table (noticed a similar comment in another review). I’m still happy to give them a 5 star.
Absolutely amazing! I had read that others did not enjoy the pancakes but couldn’t resist ordering them. Not sure why they didn’t like them as they were delicious- truly! Great to sit outside. Will be back
Delicious !Who knew vegan food could be this good 😉!!! All dishes are super savoury, tasty and varied. Non-vegetarian myself, this restaurant turned out to be a little unknown gem. A real pleasure, the aubergine dish and celeriac carpaccio are warmly recommended.
Came here for my birthday for lunch menu last week with my partner as I am a big fan of DE and love their products. The decor of the restaurant looks lovely and the ambiance is very cozy. The service was super friendly and casual, however very slow and not very attentive, took them 15 minutes to take our order (doesnt notice empty glasses or empty plates on the table - wont take them away after ordering, only take them away when theres no space on the table to put new meals). The place was barely busy with 3 full tables inside and 3 outside. Now the food... Looks so nice and tasty when presented and tasted great (is packed with ingredients and surprises with new flavours). I would avoid ordering the pasta and mac and cheese as it was very basic and you can probably make better at home from DE app. The portions were so small for the price. We had two courses from every plate (two small plates, two large plates, two sides and two dessertsand left still a little hungry after all that. Giving one star for flavours and one for decor and one for DE as a brand. I would probably only come back for coffee and dessert as I love the brand otherwise there are plenty of better vegan/plant based restaurants in London.Edit: just remembered that we have waited for our cocktails longer than for the food itself.
Absolutely stunning food, and I can honestly say you wont miss the meat (coming from a flexitarian). Every dish has incredible flavour and texture, and everything we ordered was perfect. The decor inside is beautiful, spacious (well within covid guidelinesand compliments the experience wonderfully. Service was excellent and all waiters and waitresses were very polite and kind. The only slight dampener were the desserts, which failed to match the sky-high levels of the starters and mains, however I still have no hesitation in giving this restaurant a 5 star rating. Its a must try for everyone who loves food.
