Delicious Chinese Restaurant - Chinese restaurant in Melton, Australia
Far from delicious. We’ve ordered several dishes and they were tasteless and we will not go back there… it’s such a shame as there are not many Chinese restaurants in this area.
Quality and ingredients lacking alot. Nobody enjoyed there meal tasted like food from a baymarieSkydragon was much better and tastier.
Closed more often than open and no delivery or even online order for pickup. Better off going next door to Centre Thai or down the road to Sambal Chilli. Very stingy with the sauces too. Used to be good but gone downhill.
They get stars for quick service but the food was not good. We ate a little of each and put the rest in the bin. The dim sims were the fish and chip shop style not the expected Chinese style. The fried rice was awful, the meat was dry, the rice was not cooked and was still hard. The mains had no flavours at all.So disappointed.
Fried rice was dry claggy and no taste. Had to throw out
Very bland food. Better off driving to the delicious house in deer park
Good food and friendly staff. Hot towels are a nice touch as well
Food was nice but they allowed the smokers around the front door and every time it opened we not only got a cold wind but the smell from all the smokers. Not a pleasent meal.
Haven’t had food from this restaurant in a very long time and we will certainly keep it that way from now on. The food is dry, tasteless and rubbery we took one bite and threw it out.The satay from the satay skewers was just a tub of oil.Absolutely save your money and go somewhere else
will be sending the health department my food as i got bbq roast pork.. under cooked (still red and bleeding through some of the meatand then some was like hard bits of rubber and smelt funny... This was my 3rd visit in a few months as i thought every place has an off day but this was it for me.. had about 1/3rd of the meat and thought Nope its not right.also got was was meant to be special fried rice LARGE.. which had 2 prawns in the whole thing. rice was hard, a few peas and some dice up rubber... Nothing else... dimsims were pink in the middle.an hour after eating not even started to feel cramps and not great.. then BAM upchuck and trots.had the trots through the night...so i was going to give it to my dogs, but now sending to health department.this chinese needs to be shut down
Tasteless & overpriced. Do not sell soft drink by bottle or can - instead they give you flat drinks by the glass. Dim Sims not home made (microwaved & disgusting), Singapore noodles & fried rice very bland. Dont bother wasting your money here
I am sick of cardboard tasting food everywhere that specializes in Asian food in and around Melton, and this place was no exception.Lemon chicken was dry and had an odd but strong bitter taste. Sesame prawn was as if it had been fried and re-fried 3 times and fried rice was just... Seriously? And expensive to boot!
The fried chicken taste like its been living at the bottom of a fryer thats oil hasnt been changed since they last updated the funiture in the restaurant. The dim sims also taste like theyre from the 80s with the texture of an old shoe.
Would undoubtedly say this is the worst chinese take away food I have ever had absolutely disgusting
Food was terrible. We had sweet and sour fish in batter , it smelled off and like it came out of a freezer and it the calamari had a weird bitter after taste that i cannot explain. Fried rice was dried and tasteless.Never going back there ever again. I dont like to put a bad review as i dont want any business to suffer, but they need to do better. We spend the money for good food, least you can do is deliver on it.
First time was average second time was terrible mongolian beef had 3 quarters onion in it it with very little sauce beef is very thin, rice, special fried rice tasted few days old.
I think they have lost there passion in cooking, for me it tastes like the food thats cooked is all from the freezer from being pre-cooked
Worst Chinese food I have ever had.Tasteless. Bland and second rate. Makes Foodcourt Chinese taste like the Flower Drum.
Staff great and clean but food is disgusting rice and chicken is cold in middle and noddle like 2 days old never suggest this place for any good foodieThanks
A+ always delicious. Always friendly. Lunchtime deals are great
Banquet meal $40pp not worth. Small bowl of soup nice, spring roll not eaten, main meal not too bad, lemonchicken bit chewy, deep fried ice cream batter dreadful. Never again
Buy lunch here often. Love it. And their chicken soups are very well made.
Had a very enjoyable meal. Big serve of lemon chicken. And fantastic Banana fritter
Nice food. But no atmosphere. No music very dull... felt like an old peoples home we were visiting.
We had this for takeaway tonight, you know what??? It wasnt that bad, it was hot and plenty of it. We will come back again
Terrible fried rice just boiled rice with some veg not cooked in wok at all. Short soup was good so was the capital pork. Dimsims store brought yet $4 for two a bit over priced. Probably wont order again as the other food our party ordered wasnt that good going by feedback.
Food was ok. Our waiter, although accurate, seemed a little inexperienced when Ti came to table etiquette.
Fast service and delicious food on a very busy night
Honestly, pretty awful food. We got the sweet and sour pork and crispy chicken and both were easily the worst weve ever had. The chicken was dry and looked very old. The pork had a really strange taste to it that I can only geuss came from the batter.Would NOT recommend this place
Delicious food love eating their crunchy fresh veggies and love their deep fried ice cream yummy...to be honest I just love their menu ;)
Normally very nice, unfortunately my fried rice was very average this visit.
overpriced bland boring food, $14 for 1 chicken breast (crispy Chicken on menuthat has probably just been roasted on a tray 3 days beforehand. and the most white blandest fried rice ive ever tried. will never go here again.
Had a family dinner Saturday night a group of 4 without a doubt the worst Chinese food we have tasted ordered home made Dim Sims but they were the Dim Sims you get from any fish and chip shop the beef omelette was under cooked very little meat the beef and black bean sauce was over cooked very dry and tasteless chicken and cashew again watery and extremely bland fried rice was awful we should have know better when the place had ionly one other table of 4 for a Saturday night the place was virtually empty the prices were on the high side 4 small glasses of coke a bill of $ 130 for really disgusting food Never again
Unfortunately the quality of Delicious keeps slipping. The beef chow mein, once dependable for quality flavors, had no sauce and instead was gluggy and unpleasant, while the vegetables were wilted and mostly inedible. The honey chicken had an overly thick and unappealing exterior. The mini spring rolls and vegetarian fried rice are okay. This restaurant is a fixture in Melton and it was once reliable but now seem to have contempt for regulars. They changed owners many years ago and thats one thing I miss - the customer service is no longer welcoming as it once was, even for take away. Melton now has many new restaurants in Woodgrove and its sad to see this local fixture drop its standards despite the competition. I wont be coming back. Youd be better off five minutes down the road with fresher and more innovative offers at the food court.
Ive just had the honey chicken with fried rice,,worst food I have had in a long time , the honey taste was awful. So I wont be returning as it was also expensive
Food was flavourless. And quite pricey for what we got. Will never returned.staff was quite nice but seem they dont know the menu.
A little hit and miss but generally good. Eat in is fairly dated but when having chinese take away, always hits the spot. Old school style chinese with nothing super spectacular...
The food used to be great, as was the service, I only got Mongolian beef and fried rice but the beef dish was was at least half onion, tasted fine, unlike the rice which had a horrid chemical taste. It went in the bin after I rang them with a reply of "oh ok, thank tell me".
While eating at the restaurant, I said to my wife You know whats wrong with this place? And she replied, That it hasnt changed in 20 years? And they were my exact thoughts. The other problem though, is that despite the fact the restaurant hasnt changed, the food sure has and not for the better. The restaurant is in great need of renovation and the food needs to be improved significantly. It was very ordinary, especially for the price. The service was fairly quick but the waiters and waitresses are young and inexperienced (the waitress even had a visible hickey on her neck!). We will not be eating there or ordering from there again unless things change drastically for the better.
We ordered take away, They forgot our rice pork was dry San chow bow lettuce was so small and about a week old. This used to be a great meal but now awful $100 meal given to our dog.
This place used to be so awesome. Once a month we would get this for take away and was AWESOME!Just moved back to Melton and gave it a go and was completely disappointed. Food was either tasteless or tasted off. Prawn crackers were so stale that they mustve been sitting out for weeks.
Staff are very friendly. Service was very quick and food was good. Honey chicken was the favourite for the night.
worst meal ever! sweet and sour pork was boiled and calamari in combination seafood was boot leather. Im cooking pasta! will never set foot in this restaurant again
The name is miss leading although the food can be great sometimes its very inconsistent! If it wasnt for their own special chicken dish it would be not worth going.
As an on-going and long standing fan of the Deer Park store I had great expectations for the same wonderful tastes of our standard order here. How disappointing. No homemade dim sims, chicken skewers lacking flavour, Singapore noodles consisting of not much more than the curried noodles themselves, a special fried rice ... not fried but tasting like steamed rice with all the goods bits mixed in and lastly a very bland and watery special combination. If youre thinking of dropping in, I suggest you drive past. There is better elsewhere, including its namesake in Deer Park.
They dont deserve this one star ... But this is the only way I could write this review ... My friend just paid $119The food was absolutely disgustingLemon chicken was sourPork Chicken. Noodles riceWas all dryPrawn crackers .had to be weeks oldNever again !!!
Ive ordered take-away from this place before, I didnt think much of their food. After a couple of years, I ordered again a couple of dishes for pick up. Im so disappointed that I did, I was hoping somehow that they have at least improved on their dishes. My partner had one mouthful, and just said "Nah, not eating this". I guess thats the downside of living too far out from the city, a restaurant marketing themselves as delicious, is what you have to put up with. Ill just make sure I cook my own meals now, theres just nothing from this part of town that is worth spending your money on.
I cannot believe that this restaurant has the nerve to call itself delicious. My family has visited twice in the last two months. The first time the quality of the food was poor and was expensive for what we ordered. I do not like to write reviews on first time experiences as sometimes the fault lies in picking the wrong kind of dish or maybe the time of night we arrived was off? who knows... I believe in second chances. The second time we ordered though was last week and I took not only my small family of 3, but also some relatives from out of town and spent over $140 on food. Entrees being: spring rolls, steamed dim sims, prawn toast.Mains: Sweet and Sour pork, Cantonese Beef, Combination Omelette, Stir Fried Noodles, Fried salt and pepper chicken and fried rice.To start off this culinary experience..., the spring rolls and dim sims were the same quality (if not the exact sameas the cheap no-name brand frozen crap that you could buy from any super market (Yes we all know those huge white dim sims from Aldi/Coles/Woolies). Costing $6 per plate with 3 items per plate. Prawn toast was ok and possibly made there...For the mains, the Sweet & Sour pork had little-to-no pork in it at all and seemed to be mostly hollow balls of batter swamped in an ocean of sauce. Cantonese Beef was beef and satay sauce..despite having satay beef on the menu, Omelette came swamped in gravy (to the point of not being able to eat it without coating the table cloth in it). The fried salt and pepper chicken was cooked to death to the point of not being able to tell the difference between bone and flesh and the fried rice, is just boiled rice with a few prawns, ham, peas and carrots thrown in.. The stir fried noodles was nice though...The service of this restaurant was also very poor with the waitresses having very bad attitudes. They did not even bother to turn on all of the lights in the dining area for the 2 tables of customers dining in. In fact they behaved as if even the simplest of tasks asked of them was simply too much. (Like bringing the bill)..If you really want "Asian" food in this area, then my suggestion would be to go to Woodgrove Food Court and obtain it from there. The quality is not that much better but at least you will not be hit with the $20+ per plate on top of it.
well after reading some reviews ,i was unsure but we went for my birthday .I would like to thank Wendy,Shannon, and Mark the food was fantastic soooooo much we had banquet c at $35 a head honestly i would recommend itthank you we will be backfrom sharon attard
The Garlic Prawns were okay/good , Sweet & sour Pork - both the meat & saucewere a bit dry like they had been frozen for a while ?Decor a bit lacklustre , had to ask for music (ambience). Coke was served in a smallglass. Service was okay?good, pleasant & the food was served quickly ( about 10minutes, if that )
