You must try this place. This is one of my favorite places to eat tacos. They are so delicious. The little tortillas are legit here out of all the places I have eaten tacos which is a lot. This place comes the closes to tacos from Mexico. The staff is super friendly. The only downside well not really, is this is a cash only place so go ready. If not there is a ATM machine inside.

The previous reviews about this place in favor of the food and portions are correct. The food was fresh, hot and very flavorful. My wait time to get my food was less than 8 minutes. I highly recommend this place if your passing through Castrovile.

Ive had these tacos since I was a kid and when it was only a taco truck. These never disappoint!

The food here is O.G. The people are very friendly and the tacos were excellent. We had the carnitas, al pastor and carne asada. The meats were juicy and seasoned well. Everything came out piping hot. If you do find yourself in Castroville and love tacos, I would highly recommend a stop here.

Cash only but atm is available inside.We had some yummy authentic chicken tacos. 5 for $10.05. Really sweet staff and fitting interior.

Had the veggie burrito. It was a good size, ingredients were fresh, good cheese, and yummy overall. And well priced! Would definitely recommend.

Reading the previous reviews, I was skeptical - but the food was out of this world. The chicken tacos I had made me drool for more, and I went back again for carry out. By far the best Mexican food I had in USA. In short - a hidden little gem on the highway :-dont miss it

Lightly oiled, grilled and double-wrapped street taco form factor offered with white or yellow factory-made corn tortillas. The tacos are topped with chopped white onions and cilantro and served with lemon slices and pickled jalapenos. The carne asada was well seasoned and prepared and the staff was super pleasant. This place is an easy contender for my favorite taco joint on the central coast.

Our favorite place to grab burritos+salsa in a 100 mile radius. Seriously, no one else makes them quite like this, the burritos or the salsa. Theyre just amazingly good. And the people are SO nice!

The food here is excellent. The restaurant is clean and the food is delicious, with a fair price. If you are in the area of Castroville you should definitely go to the restaurant.

It’s difficult to find a local taco shop that’s good, but when told about this place I was really impressed at the quality food served here. Been back twice, delicious!

the tacos are 5/5the menudo ($10gets a 3/5. the soup had at least a pound or more of tripe, but no hominy.

Best taqueria in Castroville. Tacos are great but I cant resist the tortas, a mexican sandwich. Usually get Pastor but the Carne Asada ia also really good. Only take cash though, but there is an ATM, just woth a steep aervice charge. Bathroom is outside, ask for a key. Also open pretty late.

Nothing amazing here, not sure why it has 5 stars.. Im giving only 3 stars because its cash only and doesnt serve any guacamole. Plus its not the cleanest place either.

I ordered two tacos de asada, and they were really good. They almost tasted as good as the taco truck tacos. The interior is a little plain and dirty. Other than that everything was good including the sangria.

Looking for a place to stop on the way home from Monterey. Googled restaurants and this little taco place had a 5 star rating so we decided to stop and give it a try. It looks a little sketch on the outside, but this was by far the best Mexican food weve ever had! Wish we lived closer, it would definitely be our go-to place.
