Delano South Beach in Miami Beach

My father and i stayed here a while ago. We are from Australia and were on holidays for the Super Bowl. Yes two years ago! The Delano ended up taking a hefty bond from our family which was fine. When we left the accomodation we left our room in a very tidy condition.. We then flew home to Australia emailed the Delano management to follow up our deposit to be advised we never stayed at this accomodation and wouldn’t refund our deposit. We felt this was behaviour was very poor. They are happy for us to spend large in their pool bar but once checkout took place they didn’t want to know us and stole our money. Since our stay we have tried to make contact with this hotel with no response.

One star is for the sadness that its closed,. cleared out and I hope the new owner at least does some nods to its heyday after rehabbing. Much of my memories are wrapped up in the almost 30 years of visiting. I miss the Bars and pools and stunning flowing white lobby.

The location is great, the room was very nice, clean and confortable. I really want to thank the staff wich were very kind and polite, bringing me things that I needed. Big hug and thank you

Refreshing, inviting, and lively. An excellent stay across the board. Youll leave the Delano wanting to return regardless of the season. October and late September seem particularly accommodating especially for individuals from New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey or surrounding areas

It can get a little sloppy in the evening but best place to enjoy a beer for MMW and beyond...

The beach area is spectacular to relax. Not only you can do swimming, but also, you can stroll around and have a picnic. The place is so safe because the security guards are always alert for any emergencies. This is one of the best places you can relax!

We had a gala dinner of the Biosensors conference 2018 there. It was a pleasure being there, we had lots of fun, beach view evening sunset, lots of colleagues enjoyed staying there. In the evening, a concert was organized by the conference organizers there. We witnessed fire ring and amazing dinner. Later there was a dancing event, most of colleagues enjoyed a lot.

I was invited to the Beach club back in early March before the pandemic for a concierge event & had amazing time! The food was delicious, the DJ was playing hits & the drinks were well crafted. The atmosphere was fun & I loved the chic decor. Most of all the staff were very attentive. Would definitely recommended visiting this location to my guests & residents. :)

Great 4 night stay here. Perfect location, right on the water and right by Lincoln road shopping. The hotel lobby and the pool area are really nice. Service from the wait staff was excellent. We had a few minor complaints about the room, and the elevators were unbearably slow, but would definitely stay here again.

If you travel often and stay in decent hotels... you will quickly realize this hotel has been neglected and outdated. The lobby is nice but I dont sleep in the lobby. The rooms are pathetic

I’ve never actually stayed here, only been to the bar.It’s a cool spot to chill and have a few drinks. You just have to take in the scene here.Drinks are expensive, but that’s South Beach. Also your at the Delano.

Just visited the place to show it to my out of town friend. All employees where extremely courteous even when I told them the truth. Chic, relaxing atmosphere will return for a dinner experience and stress free night.

The ambiance of this place is incredible. There is a bar near the pool open to non guest. Its a nice place to have a drink and unwind.

My wife and I cannot say enough about this hotel! First, the staff, without fail, were attentive, friendly, and super! The facilities are beautiful! Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing and beautiful. The pool area leads out to the beach which was very convenient for me. I will visit again!

The whole staff here were friendly, helpful, and professional. Beautiful building, immaculate rooms, and great ambiance...right on the beach! Cant get much better than that!

Party was okay. But we expected more with that line up. But sorry...the organization was really bad! I would not recommend this beach club. The only good thing is the cheap entrance. (50 Dollar is not cheap, but compared to Miami music week, its cheap)45 min wait to go to the restroom. 18 dollar beer+ tax+ 20 % tip included. For me this is a rip off!Nothing special at this club. Ugly and dirty pool! The staff was okay.It was just disappointing. Some djs were relay good...some just were so boring and just wanted to get the money. Next time I will pay more entrance...maybe I’ll get a little bit more for my money...

If I could give zero stars I would. Never in my life have I been treated so horribly. The security escorted my friend outside after she floated in the pool and never once gave her a warning and said don’t do that. They figured she was too intoxicated and made a judgement to just kick her out without explanation or questioning. After seeing this, me and another friend followed her out and they held my other friend there and 2 others inside saying we had to pay the bill. Which they had a credit card for. They held us for an hour and couldn’t get a manager to talk to us. We had to beg and plead with security to get a manager and when they finally came, they asked us what happened and he said he would be back in a bit to handle it. He NEVER came back. After another hour of begging for a manager, the police were the ones who presented the bill to us. Which we never saw before, they just charged us without giving a receipt to sign or anything. Come to find out we were charged many things that we never received. The server lied and manipulated us. There were 5 of us who heard the same thing that the giant bottle would only be a $50 upgrade. In the end she charged us for 2, cigarettes and 2 packs of red bull. Which we only ordered 1 bottle and she lied about the price. She wanted to scheme us to make more money. She presented it like we were just drunk and didn’t know. They will review the tapes and see there was only 1 bottle served. A hotel should not treat guests like that. It’s ridiculous with the amount of money they make and they don’t even care when the staff mistreats people. I had to go inside and find the restaurant manager of the main restaurant so that someone would listen to us because it is not right what they did. Unbelievable and disgusting.

Great place. Delicious drinks and wonderful atmosphere. Music just right. Not too loud so you can enjoy it and visit at the same time.

We loved this hotel. The staff were great and the food at all three restaurants we went to inside the hotel was fantastic.

Very classy place for just drinks or even a full meal. After lunch we hung by the pool and had some drinks. Better quality overall than other similar places in the area.

Its been a minute since Ive stayed here. Came in town and went to breakfast. Food was good. Service was lacking.

I have stayed here a number of times over the past 3 years. I have always found the Hotel to be professionally run and managed. Staff have always gone out of their way to be helpful. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. It doesnt disappoint.
