Degusteria Italiana in Florence

Enjoyed the most exquisite dinner of my life here last night. My wife and I chose the full tasting menu and paired it with the wine tasting experience. We had 7 lovely courses paired with 7 perfect complimentary wines, served by the most informative and hospitable staff. If youre looking for an unforgettable and romantic dinner experience, look no further than Degusteria Italiana!

Incredible dining and tasting experience! The ravioli is a must try. Easily the best dish I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back!

No menus so they can rob you blind. 50 euro for 4 glasses of house wine and some pasta.It was tastey but theres much nicer food and drink in the area for half the price.

This was one of the most unique dining experiences my wife and I have ever had! We went with the seven-course tasting menu with wine pairings (which is very much outside of our norm), and it was an amazing meal from start to finish. Davide was an exceptional server, providing lots of context and insight with humor as we went through the night. We highly recommend this one-of-a-kind restaurant!

A highlight of Florence!Some of the best food have ever had. David, the waiter was excellent and extremely helpful in helping us pick what ur courses and made excellent suggestions. Would recommend anyone to try the parmesan ravioli. It is to die for! I also tried their unique dark chocolate and lemon pasta as a starter. It was delicious and unlike anything Ive tried before. If you like unusual flavor pairings then this is the starter for you.For my main ate the veal fillet which was also delicious and cooked perfectly.I would highly recommend this restaurant! Inside it is warm and cosy and the atmosphere and the staff make you feel very welcome.Thank you David and Holly for making our experience at Degusteria Italiana so unforgettable!

This wasn’t just a simple dinner it was a full experience. The food was incredible (best ravioli of our life), the service was amazing (they were really kind and attentiveand the atmosphere was great. Fully recommend for a special occasion (especially a romantic one). The wine pairing was also very good. Loved the portion sizes as not typical fine dining (they even had a few appetisers and dessert as a touch of generosity). Fully recommend this unique culinary and artistic experience

We ate at the restaurant last year and I’m still talking about it and recommending to anyone who is going to Florence.One of the best meals I’ve ever had!!!My favorite was the 5 raviolis with aged parmesan inside and topped with a pear mustard.ABSOLUTELY TO DYE FOR

Warning: not traditional Italian. The high rating is for its avant garde food, flavor combos you never had before. Imagine you are eating food on top chef reality show. Like that fake restaurant in Portland, not sure if serious or pulling our leg.We had carte blanch menu. Other reviews cover it, but many dishes were interesting but maybe not so delicious.If you want bizarre and different,ok. If you want great Italian you might be disappointed. We were.

Absolutely delicious!!! Best pasta we have ever eaten! This is a MUST GO if visiting Florence. Huge selection of wines and cheeses. Unbelievable.

I really wanted to love this place, but it was not worth the price. We did a game tasting and truffle tasting. We loved maybe 50 percent of everything, 25 was okay, and 25 was just not working. The truffle menu especially was hit or miss, and it felt like the truffle was an afterthought, not necessarily complimenting the other flavors. There were maybe 5 tables when we finished and it took over 30 minutes to get the bill. 4 courses took about 3 hours, it was just way too slow. Unfortunately the second most expensive meal we had in Italy but our least favorite. The main for the game tasting was duck, which was about 3 bites, one of which was almost all fat/cartilage and another was basically a thin piece of charcuterie. Neither dessert was very good. But the pastas were great.

The place is just wonderful and the waiter has been very helpful in the wine choice to accompany our plates.A big big BIG fan of the Ravioli which are probably the best pasta I have ever tasted in my life.

We had the 7 course tasting menu. Everything was top notch. One of the best meals on our trip to Italy. Deserves a Michelin star. Book ahead of time!

It was ok. Nothing special like some other restaurants. Maybe the lunch service is less classy than the dinner service. We ordered the sheep cheese, curred meats platter and the taglioni and black truffle dish which tasted like a lot of butter. They wouldnt suggest wines, so we chose to have one glass each of the two whites they had. They were nice. Overall a sterile experience. Ive had much warmer experiences at ma and pa shops. It looks nice inside though.

The food are fabulous and delicious, and the service are excellent!My daughter tried out 62 degree egg with black truffle and I’d beef fillet with violet potatoes and black truffle, both were well presented and the dishes tasted real good! We completed with caramelia with dark chocolate and truffle as well sesame cream with kiwi!We enjoyed very much and for sure this will be highly recommended to my friends in Hong Kong!

Perfect birthday dinner- very expensive But was great for a special occation. The picture show the cheese tasting menu with the complementary prosecco, a white wine and a red wine. Coperto is 15€ per person, a lot but the service is worth it, the they were charming and so funny. Dont go there if you are hungry, sadly the portions are small but is there to enjoy the taste of the special food

Really delicious gourmet feel. We tried the carte Blanche menu and that is definitely worth a try. Ask for the waiters recommendation for wine pairing. You wont be disappointed

An elegant restaurant in the heart of Florence with an excellent wait staff.

Amazing food, great service and nice ambiance. Would really recommend the risotto and the ravioli! This really is a Michelin level restaurant at more reasonable prices

We were visiting from San Francisco for our honeymoon. We came for lunch and ordered the black truffle pasta, ravioli, and a truffle based dessert. All the dishes were lots of fun with bold and playful flavors. The atmosphere was very romantic with mood lighting and piano music. We would visit again.

This place could have been amazing. Great menu and beautiful location. Started off perfect-but after received our first course- which was amazing ( I got cheese tasting menu and my husband got the truffle tasting menu), there was about a 30 min wait. A man arrived with a bag of truffles. They must have run out, and all this was fine. Shortly after that, food started coming out again. The new truffles basically tasted like cardboard. My husband asked the waiter and he said it was how they were prepared. Then later the waiter came back and said the chef said they got bad truffles without much flavor. It was handled oddly, and we were offered nothing for a truffle meal with truffles without any flavor

Disappointing dining experience in FlorenceMy husband and I are travelling to Florence for our honeymoon.Every restaurants we went impressed us with the wonder of Italian cuisine. Great food, lovely wine.However, Degusteria Italiana has made me lost faith in Florence’s restaurants.We were attracted into the restaurants with their beautiful interior designs.After we settled in, the waitress presented us with champagne and three appetisers, including chesse, truffle and games. Which it correlates to the theme of the menu: cheese truffle and games. It is quite thoughtful and the dish tastes alright.After the tasting dish, the menu was presented. The waitress was quite pushy on the food that we order, expecting us to order more.The food is over the average price of the restaurants in Florence, which is expected as the setting of the restaurant is very delicate.We ordered one appetiser and three pastas, with a bottle of wine.The house bread came first, and we were not given any butter, olive oil or any other spread. The bread was blend and hard in texture, it is the first red flag.The appetiser is at the “cheese” part of the menu, “bomboneria creamo”. We were given a pink cream of cheese which is not very appealing. The texture of the dish is mush with the taste of cheese but all the other sides and sauces did not elevate the dish.The taste of the game ravioli is very average. Anyone can get it from any of the restaurants in Florence.The truffle risotto had generous amount of truffles thus the dish is recused. I believe as long as you put enough Italian truffles on a dish, a dish would become tasty (and expensive of course).The last dish was a complete disaster. It is tagliatelle with deer and dark chocolate sauce. The pasta was perfectly cooked but the sauce tasted like melted dark chocolate with minced meat.To be honest, I am from Hong Kong, and I have travelled to different parts of europe and currently moved to London, I have not had such a disgusting pasta in my life. Imagine putting pasta into a bowl of melted dark chocolate, that is exactly the pasta I had.I understand innovation and creativity is needed for developing new dishes, however, the tastebud of a chef is crucial in this experiment.Rest assured, in Degusteria Italiana, the chef is lacking of this important skill.We do not even want to get the dessert as the gastronomical experience was not up to par. However, they managed to push the bottom line even further with complimentary sweets. The truffle aka not truffle tastes the best. It tastes like milk truffles. The almond treat coated with icing sugar was very sweet with slushy texture gave me goosebumps. The filled cookie tasted like paper.All in all, you can definitely find better restaurants in Florence at this price range. It is such a trauma for me as I have to type this review once I got out of the restaurant. Simply did not expect pasta in Italy was this bad.

Came over to this top rated restaurante for a truffle tasting menu with my husband on day 4 of our stay in FlorenceIn love with all the procedures - the sparkling wine on the house, cheese/ chocolate on the house to start with the ordering and the lovely candle light, nice vintage plates and leather wrapped wine menu.The food is not heavy but full of flavour, stimulating my taste bud. The wine paring is perfect - intoxicating but doesn’t cause any headache the next day. Beef ravioli and beef steak are well prepared and cooked. And even the dessert is the top notch. (Not for the sweet but for the texture, matching and flavour)

Fine dining with beautifully presented dishes, the raviolis are outstanding g mixing, cheese and sweet caramelised onions which blend perfectly together in the mouth. The fillet was very tender and juicy, the wine we had was fabulous and the service was spotless. I would definitely recommend booking ahead your visit, this is a must visit place.

If you like truffle, cheese, good wine and great service, you have to eat here. We were celebrating a birthday, and were offered an awesome surprise cake. In addition to our truffle-sprinkled desert from our tasting menu. David, our multilingual server, had a great sense of humour, and was becoming more and more fluent in French (our language of choice at the tableby the minute. A great night to remember. Compliments to the chef!

A very nice place to have a gourmet dinner for a special purpose. The kitchen is very creative with molecular aspects on a traditional base. The waitress was extremely professional and attentive. It‘s quite pricey but definitely worth the money.

This restaurant happens to be one of my favorite in Firenze. The food is absolutely divine and the service is incredible. The food is fresh, locally sourced, and very flavorful, and everyone is always in a great mood when they serve and greet you.Id highly recommend this restaurant, both for its food and for its first-class service. And the ambience is quite lovely as well.Favorite dishes include the truffle parmesan plate, truffle tagliolini, and egg with roasted pumpkin and truffle.

I didn’t have much information about the restaurant and seemed a touristic place, but the service,food,atmosphere were amazing!🤌🏽 Dishes were based on seasons, nice flavors for simple dishes!! Definitely a date-to-go place🤩

I came here two years ago with my mother. It was so beautiful and delicious. Its one of the few special restaurants we still talk about. And I just came back again and the food was so good. Its a perfect place for a romantic dinner.

Unbelievable! Weve been traveling around Europe for 2 weeks and this was by far the most spectacular food experience we had. Such impeccable food, wine and service in a beautiful petite hidden restaurant in Florence! We loved every second of this amazing food experience. I will also say that the pricing was beyond fair and try to reserve early or ask very very nicely for a table if you dont have time to reserve. They are so accomdating and knowledgeable...a truly memorable experiemce! My favoite dishes were the venison tartar with raspberry and chive aioli, the beef filet with truffles and the ravioli with 24 month aged parmesan and balsamic caviar...and the welcome prosecco was a dream come true!

This was hands down the best meal I’ve had in my life from start to finish. I would highly recommend the truffle tasting menu, it’s a fantastic experience and every bite is delicious. The staff was also fantastic in terms of recommendations, never in my life did I think I would drink champagne paired with my entire meal but it worked so well per their recommendation. The 62 degree egg (shown hereis a one of a kind experience, I hope I can come back and enjoy this restaurant again someday.

Hands down the best meal we had in Italy, and ever. We had the truffle tasting menu and each item was divine, not to mention we got to sample small bites of other dishes, desserts, and a tasty dessert wine throughout the meal. The wine pairing was immaculate. The waiter was a true gem—so kind, funny, and knowledgeable about every dish. I wish I could relive this night over and over.

If you stay in Florence, you have to eat here. We were there twice because the first time was so good. You can choose from three different options. The cheese menu, the truffles menu and the game menu. You can choose their tasting menus or pick single dishes and mix the menus together. We had the truffles tasting menu on the first visit and it was really delicious. They can also make a vegetarian version of the truffles menu and they will ask you beforehand about allergies or intolerances. The second night we had the cheese menu and also some dished from all three options. Everything was excellent. And they will happily help you with a matching wine. I would love to come back some time! Thanks for two awesome nights!

My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary a few weeks ago and were blown away, not only with the food but the service as well. The manager and the female serving us were knowledgeable, kind, helpful and also great at explaining the menu to us, both in Italian and English. The cheese board that we started with was amazing and the pastas that we had for our meal were incredible too. The desserts were unique and had interesting flavour profiles that complimented each other well too. Overall though, it was the service that made our meal. We were given not only a lovely little dessert to say happy anniversary, but the manager also gave me a purse holder to use for the meal rather than put it on the floor, then allowed me to keep it afterwards - such a kind gesture! Thank you for making our day so special and for being so lovely. We would definitely return next time were in Firenze.

Exceptional food and service. Not traditional Italian more like fusion French. The flavors are exciting, I enjoyed the chitarra and truffle ice cream very much. I will be back!

Excellent food and service. Truffle dish are highly original and delicious. Wine is also great; waiter recommended us Barolo 2013, which was the best wine I’ve ever had in my life. Dessert and present were also very good, Thank you for both great service and food!

Best truffle dinner in Florence . Very romantic , only few tables, in a little hidden street . Refined , great service, and great selection of wines especially from the region. Loved Flaccianello wine, truly reccomended. Only the dessert was little overwhelming , too many flavors at once, simplicity here would help to get the flavor. Will go back anytime 😋

If you love truffle, you must come to this place. The truffle pasta was very good and there were large pieces of truffle on the pasta itself.The risotto had a mixture of sweet, sour and salty flavours. Very unique but I’m not sure if the texture was right as it felt a bit hard. Still fast nonetheless.The beef tartare was fabulous.You must make a reservation as it’s a small restaurant and we saw that they had to turn away quite a few people who walked in without a reservation.Price is on the higher side but the experience is worth it.

My husband and i had a wonderful dining experience at the degusteria. We enjoyed the truffle and game tasting menue and it was delightful! If you have time and want a special treat, go for the tasting menues it was totally worth ot - culinary wise. My husband had the wine pairing as well - unfortunately i had to skip it - and it was beautifully balanced with the main courses. The staff /owners were extra nice and helpful and contributated to a great evening. We will definitely recommend the place and come back, next time we are in Firenze!

My friends and I had an amazing experience at Degusteria Italiana!We started our meal with a tasting of truffled cheese and cured meats. Indescribable! So good! I strongly recommend the truffle tagliolini - one of the best pasta dishes Ive ever tried! We also had amazing Tuscany wine, very exclusive.For the dessert, my absolute favourite were the truffled chocolate truffles - it was an explosion of flavours!Strongly recommended.

I went to the Degusteria Italiana with some friends and we absolutely LOVED IT!`We had some of their signature dishes blessed by truffles <3Staff is super nice, they offered us a beautiful wine from toscana, the food suggestions were great. Super recommended!
