Seasonal Danish military museum in a seaplane hangar with exhibits focused on WWII & beyond.
Defence and Garrison Museum in Aalborg
Description
Privilege
More... very nice and helpful owners...
Gode udstillinger.
MoreVery nice Museum with lots of exhibitions. Most of it is allowed to touch
MoreGreat place to go for an afternoon, especially if youre into the ww2 and cold war era. There are exhibitions regarding life in Denmark during that time period, including a mock nuclear shelter. There are multiple vehicles on display such as the M10 tank destroyer, chaffe light tank and centurion tank. There are fixed gun emplacements such as a 40mm Bofors AA, 17 pounder anti-tank gun, etc.Combine this with a short trip to the maritime Museum with an actual sub and you will have an exciting day :)Ps, buy the combined ticket for both army and maritime museum either online or physically at the army musuem for the best price!
Morevery educational museum about not only the war but the machines and technology that is used by the army etc
MoreMega
MoreGreat! Loads of information, loads of things and loads of History! The whole family loved it, 7, 8, 12, 14 and 18 years, and the grownups!
MoreGood collection of the war supplies as weapons protection and vehicles. The good thing here is many equipment you can touch and play with. Even the big tanks you can get in and take a look. Kids had a lot of fun. Good for the weekend

The defence museum in Aalborg takes you on a lovely journey from Denmarks early military history fighting Sweden all the way up to its contribution in Afghanistan with the ISAF.The collection has a fantastic array of tanks, jet planes, small and large arms. I especially enjoyed the weapons on display that you could handle yourself and the fact that you could climb ontop and into alot of the tanks.
MoreFine, little exhibition :)
Good. over hundred guns
Tried to sit in a tank, and flet the weight of a real weapon! All in all a great experience!
MoreSuper museum, lots of exhibits, possible to touch most of them and climb into tanks and bunkers and such. Hosts speaking english and very friendly, most importantly - open and welcome on an Easter Monday!
