My fiancé and I just had the mango sticky rice, spring rolls, drunken noodles, and the pad thai chicken. Served with thai teas. It was amazing!! It was our first time with mango sticky rice and Drunken noodles and we loved it!!! 😍 we had ours at the food truck 🚚.

The drunken noodles were so good! I got them with chicken, but I imagine they would be good with any protein. The lunch special was cool. It came with fried wonton strips and soup.

Don’t listen to people who give DeeJai a poor rating. I’ve been eating at DeeJai for 10 years, my entire family and all my friends in the neighborhood love it as much as I do!

Deejai was our go-to for Thai take-out, but they ruined my Mother’s Day and anniversary by omitting the tofu from my order. We will never order from Deejai again.

I heard about this place from a friend and it was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has a very romantic vibe to it. The service was very good and quick with bringing our orders out. I ordered a cocktail called jolly rancher and it was so good it tasted just like a green jolly rancher. We ordered pork banh mi buns and they were the best buns Ive had the bun itself was very soft and the pork was delicious. I got the pad woonsen which I believe is glass noodle dish and my girlfriend got pad prik both were very tasty. I havent seen these dishes at other Thai restaurants so which Id say speaks to the authenticity of this restaurant. I really wanted to try the Thai crepes before even coming here which is another Thai dish that I hadnt seen before and we both loved it. This is by far my favorite Thai place and well be sure to come back.

The only thing me and my boyfriend could say during our time here was "Wow". After every bite, total bliss. We got the pork banh mi buns which were so fluffy and seasoned so well. My boyfriend got the Jolly Rancher cocktail and he said it tasted just like a jolly rancher!! I got the Pad Prik and it was perfect blend of spice and sweetness 😌✨ We also got the Pad Woonsen and it tasted great, on top of the Thai crepe!! The Thai crepe was so flaky and the mangos were so sweet 😭 10/10 will def come again! Service was also fast and the outdoor area is so cozy 🥰

Both experiences I’ve had here have been sub par. First time I waited 30 minutes to be served at the bar, and an hour for my food that wasn’t worth the wait. Decided to give them a second try so we ordered two specialty rolls to go. One had a shrimp shell in it and turned us off the whole roll, second roll was decent but certainly not worth the $20 price tag. Spring rolls were also sub par.If you want Asian flavor in noda there are much better places just a short drive away for way more competitive prices.

The Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodlesjust weren’t great… they were over cooked, lacked flavor, vegetables and soggy…. I’ve eaten this dish at hundreds of authentic Thai restaurants on the west coast, and this was candidly one of the least impressive examples. I’ll give the restaurant another try, but don’t go here expecting to be impressed by this dish. I ordered 4/5 spicy, and it barely made my nose sweat. For some reason, everything also had a subtle gas/charred undertone to it as well. Conclusion: I’ve had amazing Thai food for half this price, so it can be done.

Pad thai is excellent every time I order it! And each time I’m able to split it up into 2-3 meals, making it a great value for money. I love treating myself here once a month! I will say I’d like it to be more spicy, but that’s a personal preference that can easily be remedied. So if you’re looking for a more spicy pad thai, let them know! But it is delicious regardless ☺️To all the people that stated this is “thai inspired,” “not authentic,” or “westernized,” I think that should be a given. It’s extremely difficult to find things like thai food in this country that isn’t “westernized.” If you want “authentic thai food” then I suggest you go to Thailand and stop being so harsh on an American restaurant.

This review is for visit on Saturday Sep 18. The two stars is for the soup.I ordered Basil Fried Rice with chicken, Tom Yum Soup, Thai Chicken Wings, and Pad Prik from Wok.I went to Deejai Thai because of the good reviews but cannot understand the hype. I only enjoyed the Tom Yum Soup.First of all, upon walking in there was an awful smell. I should have left then but decided to give it a try since I drove so far. The hostess was not friendly as if she is not happy working there. The chicken wings taste previously frozen. The Basil Fried rice had peppers that had not been sautéed. Did not taste like a fresh pot of rice. The Pad Prik was mostly peppers but at least the peppers were sautéed in this dish unlike basil fried rice. The portions served are not worth the price. Beware of this place. It is not good Thai food and definitely not worth the money. They are ripping folks off! .I was highly disappointed.I will continue going to Rai Lay or the House of Thai.Dear owner: I would like a refund only paying for the soup.

If I could give a one star I would. I placed a order and received the incorrect order. I called the restaurant several times and no one answered the phone to even address my issues. I have an entire family at home hungry (we do not eat chicken and received a meal with chicken). I am not sure if I can even receive a refund without someone to answer the phone! This is the last time that I will order from this place!!

Arrived in the late afternoon for dinner. Not terribly busy, opted to go eat at the shaded outdoor patio.Service was fast and staff was friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. Tried fried the bahn mi sliders and fried spring rolls. Main course was Drunken Noodles with beef and Chicken Pad Thai. The Drunken Noodles were appropriately spicy and the Pad Thai was excellent with a wonderful appearance. Portion size was just right so you might not have leftovers but still have space for dessert.Finished the night with Mango Sticky Rice and a few drinks, a lychee-tini and a Mango- mimosa style drinkPrice was fair for the quality of the meal, wouldnt certainly call this a place to grab a cheap meal but the food was world class. Would definitely recommend going again.

These people dont know what Thai food is supposed to taste like. They arent Thai. But that doesnt matter unless you put yourself out there as a Thai restaurant and really dont know how to prepare it. I seriously have never had Thai food that the restaurant used the wrong spices. Id say they need to market themselves as "Thai inspired" or something like that. So when i called to complain and ask for a refund, they refused to refund my money and asked to speak to my husband. Yeah, NO. It isnt 1900. So this little experience cost me $120 for takeout for three adults. Yep, $120 for takeout BAD takeout. I then told her if they continue to serve this slop, they will soon be closed down. They thought it a good idea to call the police so we now have undercover police driving by. I suggest you skip this experience.

Please note this review is not for their restaurant but for their food truck. The lemon grass chicken was NOT lemongrassy at all. It was flavourful but not the dish I was promised and was disappointed. So 6/10Next, my pad Thai. I specifically asked for Thai spice and said Level5/5 (since that was their highestbut when it arrives it was blah. Very disappointed. So 4/10.Last but not the least, everyone wants to know if they got value for what they paid for. These two dishes came up to almost $38bucks from a food truck. Now, thats like fine dining restaurant pricing. Cmon. So 4/10.Overall, pretty disappointed.

Who has the best pad Thai in Charlotte? Not Deejai Thai. I got pad Thai. I’m really disappointed bc when I order pad Thai I’m looking for the best one. This was probably one of the worst. The main thing I’m looking for is the quality of the sauce and the noodles. Noodles were too soft and soggy. I’ll have to say the sauce was 4 stars, a little diluted. Along with that is they charged me for extra tofu which was suppose to be fried and didn’t fry the tofu inside the dish. I didn’t feel like cooking but I could’ve made a better pad Thai sadly. On the bright side they give out a big portion of food

I love thai food. The food was very average. They do good business. The place was still more than half full on a Wednesday evening at 7:50 pm. I came here because of the 4.3 review rating on Google, and someone likes the spicy seafood curry. But not so great. It really isnt curry in the traditional sense. More like a bowls of seafood with some curry stir fry sauce and undercooked vegetables. The seafood tasted good. My spring rolls with shrimp were not very good compared to most other I get in charlotte. Overall so-so, but overpriced. Best Thai in Charlotte is in south Charlotte called Bahn Thai. I have eaten there over a dozen times and it is always incredible. Read my review on that place.

We came in on a Friday night and was greeted and seated right away. The service was excellent. The food was very good. All the dishes were hot and fresh. I got the Mountain stake and my wife got Lemongrass chicken. We also got spring rolls and sushi as appetizers. The Thai Crepe for desert and the wife said that was her favorite. I will say it was really good. My only complaint was I thought the portion size was kinda small for the price but food had good flavor. I would say a must try if in the area and wanting some Thai food. They do to-go orders if your not wanting to eat in or they have a little outdoor area.

Not the best takeout experience. Hostess was short/not friendly. $7 house salad should have been $3-4. Missing the ginger dressing. Sushi was fishy and not in a good way that I expect of raw fish. Kids fried rice was overpriced for the portion. Taste was nothing special.Pad Won Sen was very good. Level spice 3 is great...spicy but not overwhelming. There are too many great places in Charlotte for me to go back here.

Deejai is not my favorite Thai restaurant, but its a decent spot for Thai favorites. During the pandemic, they are doing a good job keeping the space friendly and well serviced. On dishes, they are generally sweeter and less spicy than I like. If you are the same, keep that in mind when you have them customize your heat.

Look no further for great, local thai food. My boyfriend and I love this place, especially compared to other thai restaurants in the area. This is our second time ordering it and both times, the flavor was so good. The food comes steaming hot (unlike other restaurants where the time it gets delivered to you its coldand seems really fresh. Also the menu is really diverse and theres a lot of good gluten free options if youre looking for that! Big, hearty portions too which make great leftovers. Will definitely be ordering from here again!

This is so far the best Thai restaurant I’ve found in Charlotte. Their Tom Yum and Time Kha soups have good flavor. (Better than Basil’s Thai restaurant in my opinion. And, they’re meals are full of spice. I got a spice level 3 and it had some kick to it, but not unbearable. If you don’t like spicy food, you might want to knock it down. The Drunken noodles were very good and my husband gobbled them up. We are both excited to go back.

If you have ever wondered where locals get their authentic Thai-look no further! I can not get enough of this spot. My all time FAVVV dish is their pad Thai. Just be aware of limited parking as it does get very packed in the evenings.

Best Thai food in Charlotte. Prices are reasonable, service is good for dine-in and take-out, and location is convenient. Although the shopping center does not have enough parking especially during evenings, this is still a strong option for lunch, take-out for dinner or a meal in non-peak hours.FYI: the wait staff is very cautious about serving spicy food at authentic heat levels; you will have to repeatedly insist on a true "Thai spicy" level for them to add some heat, likely because overconfident guests in the past did not appreciate the spice level. That said, the flavor is good enough that adding too much spice is unnecessary!I eat here every time I am in town, and highly recommend for travelers and locals alike!

This had been on my list since I had heard it was one of the best Thai restaurants in Charlotte, so we finally decided to try it. Bonus: we got a Groupon for it.For appetizers, we started with the spring rolls and pork sliders. I loved the spring rolls and the sauce they came with. I was a bit disappointed by the sliders. The inside was great, but they came on bao buns which are supposed to be soft and ours were very hard. For our entrees we got the Spicy Lemongrass Beef and the Drunken Shrimp Noodles. Both were advertised as a spice level 3. I dont like really spicy food, but I thought the spiciness was a good amount. Neither of us liked the Lemongrass that much. You couldnt taste the Lemongrass flavor much. It was ok, but I wouldnt get it again. The Drunken Noodles were really good though. The shrimp was a little overcooked, but the sauce and noodles were a great combination. We both loved the dish.We finished off with the sticky mango rice for dessert which I loved. My husband thought it was pretty good, but didnt like it as much as I did. The rice is what makes the dish — its sweet and perfectly cooked. The mangoes are a great addition. I wish you got a bit more ice cream with it though. Its a very unique dessert and I would definitely get it again. All in all, I was a little disappointed compared to what I had heard about this place and I do think there is better Thai in Charlotte. I did enjoy it though and I would come back again.

Not very good & not worth the $25. Below average flavor Pad Thai and tofu wasnt fried crispy like I asked. The mango salad was so disappointing! Last time I had it, tart green, crunchy mangoes and very refreshing. This time they were sweet, soft, limp and it was drowning in liquids. I respect the need to control portions but the food isnt good enough for the hype or only 2 $$.
