Best Italian Sub Sandwich we’ve ever had. Clean food, great sauce!

Best Italian Subs ever!!Why go to Subway when Deanatellas is next door!! Tastes so much better!!Definitely no competition between the two!!Bread is fresh baked, you can order it toasted or not. Pizza is fresh but you do have to ask for it to be warmed. Dint complain if you dont ask!!!

This is the true definition of a hidden gem.Order early, be respectful...they deserve it.Stuffed hot peppers are a 10/10 always, and that sauce is ridiculously good.The sheet pizza is also on point and probably the best I have had in the Cleveland area. Only knock is they wont sell me a few sub buns when I order (I get it... but hook me up with that fresh bread action if im getting peppers and sauce)Doesnt matter. yall are a 11/10 and plz keep doing what you do best <3

Theyre pizza by the slice is a nice hunk of bread with some pizza like stuff on it. The soda was good.

OMG sausage sub was delicious and had old school flavor. I was in the are because my son had surgery at the sports center. I will drive the 14 miles/21 minutes from my home to eat there again. I have been looking for that flavor again for a long time. When I walked in it smelled like what I remembered as a child eating from some great pizza bakeries. My experience was Mark Weins should try this place good.

After working near this place for the last 5 years, I decided to give it a try. It seemed like an authentic deli and I hoped for the best.. I had the impression that they would make it fresh (and I wanted a hot sub). He handed me a pre packaged sub from the cooler that may have been an order that no one picked up. I watched the guy pack fresh pasta salad in a different container and put fresh dressing on it, while he handed me one again already packaged that was next to the sub. The sub was not good (not much flavor and reminded me of a bologna sandwich). The pasta salad was drenched and so soggy. I wanted this to be my new lunch spot, but unfortunately very underwhelming.

I dont normally try to businesses harm, but this place is not worth your time. I was served ice cold pizza. It was OLD. I couldnt believe that this was actually happening. It wasnt good, it was very salty. The ONLY reason Im not giving them one star is because I dont do that to any business. They gotta improve.

If youre looking for a meal thats as close to home cooked without being at home this is the place. Try the white pizza!

Great food. He bakes his own bread. Grinds his own Italian sausage. Home made marinara sauce. Homemade rigatoni on Tuesday & Thursdays.Try the stuffed Pepper sub ,mild or hot. Or the Meatball sub.Both are the best.

First time going here and I must say, Im sorry I never stopped in the past! We went in to try a couple things and walked out with a spread of food. All tasted great and freshness on a 1-10 is definitely an 11! Gotta check it out for sure, support local small businesses!

The staff was great. The Italian sub was huge. If you like olives, get extra muffuletta on the sandwich. You wont regret it.

Great food. The short lady knows exactly what im in there to get and even if they are slammed she manages to get my food ready and get me out quick.

I used to work in the area years ago and would eat here often. I moved away for a long time and was thrilled to see they were not only still here but that the food was as amazing as ever! The hot stuffed pepper sub is the stuff of legends! If ya got the grapes to handle it. 😉

I used to work ten minutes drive from Deanatellas and originally found out about it because when one coworker went, other coworkers always sent orders along too. I put in an order too and thought it was great.I cant talk highly enough about it. Guy, the owner, was almost always there, joking with the customers. His 80+ mother was in at times running the cash register (you can see her in one of the pictures someone uploaded), and I remember him joking how he had to keep on eye on her, because she kept stealing money out of the till. :She just rolled her eyes and we all laughed.Personally, I enjoy the egg salad sub and the meatball sub.One last story: one day I walked out to my car, and tucked the sub under my arm as I opened my door. When I grabbed the bag again, I had the wrong end and my sub slipped out and splattered all over the ground. Guy raced out of the shop and told me theyd make me another free of charge.I recommend going there for lots of reasons.

They have the best food, the bread is the best I ever had, the pizza and subs are excellent this place is consistently consistent I stop there every time I’m in the area. Staff is excellent and friendly all the time. The food is fresh all the time and the place is super clean. Great job guys and gals don’t change a thing.

Employees are nice enough to make fun of their customers. Also employees are more than happy to bring you a side of racism with any meal free of charge. Will not be going back.

Between the pizza and meatball subs I always have a hard time deciding what I want. My wife wants me to get back soon so I can get some fresh sliced meats as well! The folks are friendly and quick with your food and the food...so good!My tip: get some stuffed peppers when you go. You wouldnt regret it!!

A hidden gem that is tucked away in an industrial area. Here you find true Calabrese Italian deli, pizza and subs with all homemade breads a a lovely outdoor patio surprise!

Great small Italian deli. Great sandwiches (ask about the stuffed hot pepper suband pasta specials. Rolls for subs are baked onsite.

Amazing homemade food. The bread made daily to add the freshness to the stuff pepper sandwich I had. Stop by for a made to order sandwich or their fantastic pizza.

Just went in to order meatballs and sauce. The container they would “sell” was less than a cup. The man behind the counter refused to sell a larger normal sized container. He acted like a “big shot” and refused to sell me spaghetti sauce. Currently sitting in Gentili’s parking lot about to go in where I know they’ll sell me the food I’m trying to buy. Deanatellas won’t see me walking through their doors anymore, unfortunately.

Had a chicken parmesan sandwich. Bread was good chicken was very tough. Expected better from an $8 sandwich. But I will try again because once is not an evaluation of the whole.

This is one of my favorite sandwich delis. Its family operated and they clearly know what theyre doing. Everything on the menu is good, but I love their hot subs. When its nice outside, you can eat on the patio. Check the hours of operation, because theyre not open late.

Their pizza is top notch. Served in large, thick, cheesy slices, sheet-style. Pepperoni, sausage, artichoke, or plain, they are all great. Good sandwiches too.

Absolute BEST pizza I have ever had (the white is my favorite)!! I have been to many Italian delis and this place has has the best pizza.Great subs with the freshest sub buns ever (baked every morning so I was told).My only critique is next time I will ask for the Italian dressing on the side. My sub was dressed too heavy for my taste. Location has two small tables to seat 4 total. Definitely worth the 30 minute drive.

Today was my first time eating at Deanatella’s and it was incredible. I got a rigatoni lunch special and the first bite had me imagining sitting at my grandmother’s kitchen table. What a hidden gem!

This place has great subs, and great pizza they also have salads, they have special, few days a week also, they cans and bottles of tea,coke,diet coke,lemonade, the people here are polite, kind,as well nice place oh there only open to 4 pm monday threw friday closed weekends.

I came upon this place while looking for another place recommended to me. I was so pleasantly surprised by the service and food here. I had the sausage stuffed pepper sub. It was, without a doubt, hands down, the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. No s***, I really mean it. Im known to be a picky dude, but there was absolutely nothing to pick on here. I dont regularly come to this area of town, but I am certain that I will be having cravings for this sandwich which well bring me back quite often.

Went here for the first time last week and ordered the Tunasalad sub. Probably the best I ever had. And instead of the typical salad larded with mayo, this one substitutes olive oil and Italian spices. The soft, freshly baked bread tasted good, but would have worked better with a crispy crust and soft inside for more texture. My only real complaint is that the subs are ridiculously large for one person (probably a foot long and very wide). And because no subs are good the next day, unless you have someone to split it with, you will probably throw half of it out. Owners, please consider selling 1/2 subs at a reduced price. Or maybe the same price as a whole and throw in chips and a drink. Otherwise, unless I have a friend who wants the exact same sandwich, not sure I will be back unless I havent eaten for 2 days.

Great subs and pizza. They also have salads and usually have a pasta special.The owner is very friendly. During the summer a patio area is available to eat at if desired. I would recommend the hot stuffed pepper sub if you want something spicy.

Fantastic oven baked sausage sub peppers onions and marinara! Bread is to die for. Owners are upbeat and funny. Best and most entertaining lunch you will have in this area I assure you. Only 4 seats inside but huge patio outside.

Decided to try a slice of pizza. I watched the girl serving slices heat them up for 3 customers ahead of me. I guess since I wasnt a regular, she figured I was not worth the trouble. It tasted horrible cold. Will not go back with Potbellys opening at Rockside Commons.

Food is amazing. Love the pasta special on Tuesday and Thursday. Meat ball sub is my favorite. Hot or mild pepper sub is also great. Italian sausage sub is excellent. The pizza is probably my all time favorite pizza. The owner and young ladies who work there are outstanding.
