Really nice beers!

A good mix of clients of different backgrounds, special beers and music - the latter nevertheless never that loud that it would impair the conversation.

My friend, a local, recommended we go here. Nice selection of beers, and board games! Great vibe

The place is great and the waitress nice. We had a good time there. They have an amazing beer. The atmosphere of the place invites you to spend the whole night. I totally recommend Metafoor

Simple pub, lots of newspapers, nice atmosphere.

Great bar to meet with friends for a casual drink. Has a big table at the back for large groups. You can bring your own food to eat there. They have a lot of beers, as well as other drinks. Also have a selection of board games to play. Nice interior.

I ordered black tea. The tea was cold, two cubes of sugar and the piece of buiscuit was soaked in a tray. My complain was not responded politely. Metafoor was my favorite cafe but not anymore.

One of the best bars in leuven!If you are looking for a cosy place which serves a lot of beers without overcharging you, De Metafoor is the place to be.The bartender(sare super friendly and if you dont know what to drink, just ask them to advice you.Since the place is located just behind De Oude markt you are a little bit away from all the fuss which is nice. The only downside is that the place sometimes get crowded and you might not find a place to sit.

A more classic looking cafe in Leuven with wood paneling inside and slot machines. It also has a decent beer selection. Popular with the locals and welcoming to expats. Outside seating: great for people watching, chatting, reading. You can also buy food elsewhere and bring it here.

One of my all time favorites at the city of Leuven. A very cosy, alternative, enjoyable place for beverages.The settings are calm and the diversity (backgrounds, difference culturally, look at life and so onof people that come to this fine establishment makes this a very interesting place.

Nice place to go for a coffee/beer in a (normallyquite environment. It has a good selection of games to choose and a sofa section. The smoker room although convenient in winter has quite a strong smell even when empty and it gets pretty bad if more than 2 people smoke at the same time, but again, you can always head outside for that :). In general a nice place to go relax have a calm day with friends.

Honestly the best bar I have ever been to. The staff is friendly, it is kept very clean and the clientele seem to come primarily to study and play chess.

I usually go here once a week together with my girlfriend, either on Wednesdays or Thursdays, we never leave disappointed. Its just one of the most comfortable bars in Leuven, in my opinion.They have a pretty wide selection of famous and not-so-famous Belgian Beers, for those interested in trying different types of Belgian brews, they are all very reasonably priced.The bartenders are also really friendly and will certainly help you if youre having trouble deciding which beer would suit you the best.Usually its easier and faster to just order at the bar, instead of waiting for the bartender to come to your table, aside from that service is really great though.It also pays to come early, since theres a nice big sofa waiting for you if you come early enough, definitely before 11:00 P.M
