Does not live up to the hype. If charging a premium price, it’s fair to expect premium quality. But instead what they served was below average at best. The bread was hard/burnt, the salad was wilted and looked as sad as it tasted. And the chicken fettuccine Alfredo was laughable. The chicken had ZERO FLAVOR, the sauce and pasta tasted old and of very low quality.Also when picking up the food, the vibe of the place was very unwelcoming (that’s putting it kindly). Glad I tried it so now I know to leave this place completely alone. Try at your own risk.

Very large portions. Good sauce. Garlic bread served with the meal was a nice touch.

The only reason that Im giving them 1 star is because you cant give a - negative score.My wife & I have been going to Dangelos for many years. When the previous owner was there, the food was SUPERB, ample portions, great taste, no complaints at all. But, now, since the new owner, skyrocket prices & spiral downfall on quality. We called about 2 months ago to order baked ziti & meatball parmigiana dinners, when I was told that it was going to be$42 , I said, "keep it". Last night we decided to try again & give them another chance, this time we ordered 2 simple heros,eggplant parmigiana & chicken parmigiana, the price was reasonable, but the quality was the same as gas station sushi.This is such a shame. At 1 time, Dangelos was the place to go to, now it the place to RUN FROM. RUN FORREST RUN.Save you money, palet, & stomach.You will be sorry.

This has always been a welcoming place, and the deals are always phenomenal. You can get parm on Tuesdays for around 10 dollars and its enough food to get a few meals out of. Gianna the bartender is always very quick to make sure her guests have a drink in front of them and catch up a little.

This place is the best! I always love coming here and you can’t beat the prices and the portions you get! Plenty to bring home. Gianna the bartender is amazing and so very nice! I would highly recommend this place!

Had a lovely night with wife and friends . Our server Lanna was pleasant and helpful with menu suggestions . We all ordered the specials she described to us. The chicken Almafi (sp?was out of this world ! Wife got the Chicken Parm over Alfredo , Don’t knock it till you try it , it was truly scrumptious. Good food good service good prices ! This was our first time and we will be back ! Thanks Deangelos for a wonderful night .

The food and atmosphere were wonderful, but the best part of our meal was our server, Lana. She was working a very busy dining room with a few large tables by herself on a Saturday night and did an excellent job. You wouldn’t even realize she was on her own, the quality of service was so high. Lana gets a 10/10!

Been going to DeAngelos consistently for about 2 years now. Everytime I go it is always a top notch meal with a great staff experience. The ambiance is great, all the new additions they have added to the atmosphere of the restaurant is awesome. The wait staff are all wonderful and so such a great job even when its packed. This past time I got the vodka chicken parm and it was out of this world, not to mention a bang for your buck! Highly recommend this place for large parties or a nice couples night out. Ill be back soon!

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. From the wait staff, to portion sizes and amazing food, I cannot wait to go back! We had a party of 5 and the service we received was amazing. Drinks and appetizers came out quick and all meals were cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Will definitely be back for dinner again soon!

Favorite Italian restaurant in Schenectady. The staff is always courtesy. Always leave with enough food for another meal! Recommend for any occasion.

Our food was horrible. They need to hire staff that actually like their jobs. Very rude manager and waitress. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone..

I am very unimpressed with this "restaurant". The service is terrible every time Ive been there. I wont be going back. They put six people (two of those were babies with highchairs which, arguably take up more spaceat a two person table. I was only sitting at half a table. My food couldnt be in front of me at all because there was no table for me to sit at. There were plenty of open tables as we were the only ones in the restaurant and I thought they would see how the food didnt even fit on the table and I wasnt able to sit at the table and see how ridiculous this was, and they would offer to bring over another one so we could have a table, but they did not. They never refilled or even offered to refill our drinks and we were there for two hours. I was charged $2 for eight ounces of root beer. The food is tasty, however awful the service is and the service is truly awful. They also added on their own tip. So I was forced to tip for the terribly horrible experience I had. I DIDNT HAVE A TABLE AT WHICH I COULD SIT AND EAT!! They thought that deserved a good tip!!

The food, wait-staff, portions, and prices were amazing! As a party of five we all loved everything including the atmosphere. We had Nicole as our server, she was attentive, polite, and guick. The food was spot on! The portions were well worth the price and very generous. We all said we will back there often!

Worst experience of my life. This place is a complete joke. This restaurant made the whole group of people for my mother in laws birthday so uncomfortable. We didnt feel welcomed at all. From the start when we got there the blonde haired waitress had an attitude. The manager was unprofessional and not dressed professionally making comments out loud about our table.We got two steaks completely charred and they wouldnt make us new ones or even any other meal, also raw fish. Everyones meals werent cooked correctly.We were charged for our steaks and still didnt recieve anything. I didnt even get my side to eat. They wouldnt give anyone a box to take home there food.We still paid $250.00 for the bill with no respect. The owner wouldnt even come out to talk to us.Highly dont recommend I cant believe theyre even in business.

Horrible customer service, very rude employees, charged $29 for overpriced shrimp that tasted disgusting, whole family was disgusted and disappointed with their meal, everyones stake overcooked, manager very rude too, blonde haired waitress needs to be fired don’t understand how she was hired she is very unprofessional and manager says “customer is always right doesn’t apply here” don’t come here the worst dinning experience I’ve ever had.

Usually consistent but something was definitely off tonight. That includes the food and the wait staff both. Consistency is key. On a normal night, especially their parm night, it gets no better. Price is incredibly reasonable and portions are huge. Too bad its so hit or miss.

Feel the love here..best shrimp scampi ever EVER ever.Freshly pounded veal for our piccata.Freshly grated mozz on our antipasta.And immaculate space, they mop the floors every night.

Was there for the first time on Mothers Day and I was so very pleased. I had the seafood platter and oh my it tasted so good , big portion!! you will have to take home and eat it the next day trust me...will definitely return and try other stuff

I enjoyed my food very much. The wait was long for everything but it was mothers day and we had no reservation so we didnt complain. I enjoyed my food. My fiancé didnt but we are going back because everything else was great and he felt.it was worth another go.

The restaurant was very cozy and the staff was very welcoming and nice! The menu selection was extensive and everything sounded amazing... authentic Italian! The servings were Huge and very delicious 😋! De Angelos was wonderful and I highly recommend you visit soon! Bring your appetite!

Steady flow of people but we had no trouble getting seated on a Sunday evening. Had delicious veal piccata. Very garlicy but good. Loved the clam steamers.

Food was good, service was not. We never got asked for refills,. Honestly, I almost walked out after waiting for over half hour for the check . We watched over and over as our server made drinks and ignored us No tip was earned.

Tried to call in a takeout order. Bartender put me on hold and forgot about me. Said they were busy. Never apologized and had a attitude like she she really didnt care.Drove there and ordered. Had to wait 50 minutes.Garlic bread was on the burnt side. Salad and dinner were fine. Not happy with the attitude of employees.

Went there for the 1st time for a 40th Surprise Birthday Party! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming as well as the service!The food was presented in an excellent display. The food was just as excellent!Thank you!

First off, excellent food and prices. One major complaint that might seem small to others, but not to me. Paid wth a credit card and noticed they were charging me a $2.00 surcharge for that right?? Twice a month...24 times a year..$48 ?? Thats not happening anymore. I have better use for my money. Very disappointed wth then.

The wait staff was friendly. Portions were huge and tasty. My only complaints are that the crabmeat stuffing was the fake stuff and the marsala was a little oily- and it needed more mushrooms! Other than that, great meal.

Been a long time, looked really nice, updated. Had the chicken sorrento, large portion & delicious. Only one waitress working, very common these days, she was very busy but very nice & attentive, did a great job.

Weve heard soooo much about this place so we had the opportunity to visit last night. Man, I am glad we did ... Greeted with a smile and sat with warmth. The restaurant as welcoming attributes that make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff is knowledgeable, is very helpful and ALL smiles. I will say this I was really surprised on how much food we got for such a small price... you could feed two people on one dish, easily! But leftovers are ALWAYS good, especially with the food they serve here...Phenomenal!! We will go back and its a must if you havent been!!

I love this place! The people here are great and the food is even better! I usually get the seafood alfredo and its always just right. Their wait staff is friendly, the atmosphere is inviting and the food is delicious, they have clean restrooms and comfortable chairs, what more could you want?

We dine in or take out from D’Angelos frequently. The quality is always amazing and consistent! We love the family atmosphere and Dom (owneris an amazing cook and the entire staff always makes us feel welcomed and like family. Thank you!!

Ordered takeout from here a few times including for a birthday and were always blown away by the portions! Its enough food to make three to four meals out of and is always hot and flavorful. Im not a fan of char-broiled steak and its come out like that even when I asked for it to be cooked lightly so Ive switched to their seafood alfredo and its some of the best in the region. Their bread is delicious and I love that they change up their specials. Overall, a solid dining option in Schenectady and great for large groups.

Waitress was awesome. I ordered medium rare King Cut Prime rib. The cut was thin, and tough. Certainly not what it once was in the past. Best part of the meal was the broccoli and baked potato.

Fantastic shrimp scampi and chicken parm. Moderate prices to eat in or take out. Tasty garlic bread hot and buttered. Wines coffees sodas drinks. Covid distance safe. All staff masked. Romantic relaxing white twinkle lights. A nice night for 2 or your pod.

This place is absolutely amazing. I have been coming here for almost 9 years! The service is always great! Everyone always has a smile on their face even when they are busy! They never fail to over impress me! The food is always outstanding and the portions are the biggest in town! Definitely getting the bang for you buck here. If you don’t go there you definitely need to put it on your regular list. You will not be disappointed.

We arrived and the host seemed to have no idea what he was doing. The several groups arrived after us and their orders were taken before us. 15 mins at the table before our drink order was taken. The first appetizer (calamariwas over cooked and over breaded. However the mozzarella bread was the start of redemption for them. Then the entrees were huge portions of quality Italian food. Overall they had good food but poor service. I will use again but for take out only.

Ate here for the first time during a holiday and had a good experience. Its a nice, small and cozy restaurant with a casual and inviting atmosphere. The people here are nice and the food tasted fresh and authentic. Our waitress was very amiable though a bit slow; she still did a good job. The only complaint I have is that they charge you for refills which I always think is ridiculous for fountain drinks. Its why Im giving 4 stars instead of 5.

Stephanie is always friendly and has outstanding Customer Service and when she works the Restaurant just runs better. Our family has been going there for 30 years and because of long time employees like Stephanie we keep coming back at least twice a month. We met the owner Tony last week and he is a great guy. If you never been here, stop in especially on Thursdays and Fridays when Stephanie is at the bar, the service and the food will not disappoint. Best Chicken Marsala in Town and HUGE portions!!!

We went there with a large group, the food and service were excellent! The char grilled prime rib was wonderful. Most of all it is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. It is not often anymore where a salad is included with your meal. Their crusty bread was outstanding. Very nice salad dressings, great service, great food, family style, what more could you ask for!
