Had a lovely time during our stay. The staff is especially amazing. They were so friendly, accommodating, helpful, and hardworking. Staff alone makes your stay truly wonderful. Thank you so much to all of them!
The staff was very nice, the breakfast was small but nice. I will say Nicole was amazing, she played secret elf with my daughter around the hotel to decorate our room for Christmas (which made it perfect for herThis was a nice hotel we will be back
Days Inn is a reasonably priced hotel chain but each location is likely locally owned. The Port Orchard location is a bit remote from the attractions of Seattle. It is similarly remote bustle, crime and expense of Seattle and Tacoma.Located not far from major access routes but secluded enough to provide quiet accommodations.I was there just one night but found the evening and morning staff friendly, helpful and efficient. I will return to this hotel when I am next in the area.
Im one of those people who like to sing people praise whenever possible. That being said, this place is gross. Gross. The room smells, the carpets gross, the furniture is terrible, the service is substandard (the front desk girl was confused who we were and busy talking to her boyfriend hanging out), and the walls are paper thin. We were in a pinch and just needed a place to stay. I almost wished we didn’t since I was listening to the neighbors conversation at 4 am. If you’re super hard up, fine. Otherwise, stay somewhere the owners actually care.
Dont go or plan on getting good customer service unless the Manager Paul is the front desk person. Ive stayed here 5 times this year and as a Platinum member of Wyndham I have never had such a horrible experience as at the Port orchard Days Inn this past Sunday. All other times Paul has been the front desk person. At this Days Inn Ive received good customer service from only him and 2 housekeepers that I met this Saturday early afternoon. The current night shift desk person Renee, and the Sunday housekeepers dont care about the guests....after this experience I decided to check reviews and noticed many other guests feel the same way about the night time front desk person not caring about the guests.
The beds were uncomfortable, you could hear almost everything through the walls and floors, and the halls smelled weird. The pool and hot tub need a thorough cleaning. This hotel definitely needs an update. I will say that the staff there was very nice which helped.
This hotel is very dirty. The staff are friendly, the location is great, its nice there is a continental breakfast, but the cleanliness is so poor, I would not stay here again . We stayed here in 2015 and it was not this gross.
The people were nice. The hotel itself is old and tired. Beds are very uncomfortable. Rooms are only superficially cleaned. Bathroom was very dark. Was going to stay a 2nd night , ended up just leaving and booking elsewhere
My comforter is visibly dirty. Im not talking about a stain which might suggest it could have actually been washed. Im talking about white, crusty stuff. I have layed here for the last two and a half hours listening to my neighbors yell, wrestle, slam doors and everything else. I cant get a single person at the front desk on the phone. It is now 11 pm. It is a complete waste of money for me to be here in an effort to get a decent nights sleep before I hit the road again since I am laying here awake listening to my neighbors.
Place smells like dog piss especially when the much needed cooler is turned on. The breakfast is hardly what Id consider breakfast. If you were needing a room for one night it would work but I wouldnt book longer than that.
I really love the location! right off the freeway, and several food options across the street, a Wal-Mart maybe a mile away, and plenty to see and do. The rooms and hotel are a little older, but CLEAN. The tub didnt drain too well, and so that caused a little bit of an issue with 3 of us sharing a room, but with a free breakfast and vending machines available, it was exactly what we needed!!
Filthy place. Smelly and poor houskeeping. I am disabled and had to walk up stairs to get to my room. No elevator. Thought you had to have provisions for disabled people. When I see "Days End" sign, Ill keep driving. The carpet is so filthy. Disgusting. My rating is no stars.
Found dog food and fur in my bed as I arrived. My room was saturated with the stench of cigarettes (non smoking room but found the window had been left open and the front was surrounded with smokersand even after spraying the room down I could not get the stench of sewage out of my nose. All night people were running around from the pool and through the place, floors were wet everywhere, musky smells and no elevator so try not to slip on the wet stairs. Oh and the dog barking from across the hall from me was just wonderful as well.Update, after contacting the front desk to get new sheets, they moved me to the room next door and I found more short black hairs (similar to a dogs furon the second bed. It was past 11 by this time so I just put a towel down and tried to sleep. I would not recommend and will not be returning.
Hotel was decent. Housekeeping did their job and restocked towels etc. One of the front desk ladies always had her kids at the hotel. Making noise, running across the hall and just being annoying. But then again I dont really care for children as stated above, theyre usually annoying and immature.
Lobby very outdated and dark. Handrails need to be painted. Carpet dinghy looking. Staff very friendly. Out of control kids running up and down the hallway, making a lot of noise and nothing being done about it.
Rooms were comfortableall quiet neighbors. We went to swim and so the pool info. Pool isnt too big its not real deep either perfect for us we have young kids so they loves it. Was warmer then most pools weve been too even after going in hot tub it wasnt shocking cold. Which is a plus. Hot tub was hot too hot for kids even older ones. But perfect for me or anyone with aches. They didnt have towels down there so bring yours down. No life guard okay tho. Windows all around to open if it gets too warm my only complaint is it closes at midnight and doesnt reopen till noon the next day when check out is at 11 so swimming has to be done night before. We usually do an hour at least the day we leave but couldnt.
Pool was clean. Room was clean and bed was comfortable but the room very small. So small we could not open our suitcase and open the bathroom door at the same time!
If no stars were available that would be my selection. Our family of four made reservations, and even called the day of departure to verify a room for 4 and a pet. My wife went to a church chili cook off and I took 1 daughter and the dog to the hotel to check in. I was some what greeted by a older lady who I was bothering her internet browsing. I have her the name of the reservation my drivers license and credit all with the same last name. Little did I know that it is HER policy to not let a man in the room if a woman made the reservation. I have never been so appalled at the most sexist comment ever made. I asked her, so just because my wife made the reservation and I have one of our kids with us you arent going to let me in the room. She said yes I dont know what is going to go one.I will never stay at a days inn never again. If the employees are able to make their own policies based on the fact that a woman made the reservations and not me, a man. I guess we all bring our kids and pets to be part of our domestic violence outings.
Awful place. So filthy. There was left over poop inside the toilet bowl and a short hair in the bathroom sink, the floor was filthy with crumbs, the night stand and the clock hadnt been cleaned at all and the fridge has sand all over the inside and there was mold on the underside of the non slip thing for the tub. I was also very disappointed that I spoke with two different people alerting we needed wheelchair accessible room with roll in shower and was assured by both that room was ours!!! Well that didnt happen. My boyfriend is missing one of his legs and it is difficult and dangerous for him to attempt climbing into a bathtub and the roll in shower works great for him. When we checked in the clerk attending the counter gave us $10 off and said hope that helps. I said that is nice but didnt solve his problem.
Good prices & always clean rooms. They offer a small free breakfast and have an indoor pool, hot tub & gym. Very convenient location and the staff is always friendly & helpful. Ive never had any issues or problems when staying at the days inn on Sedgwick.
Perhaps the best in Port Orchard? Clean rooms, nice staff, and pool open noon to midnight.I have stayed at this location several nights. The rooms are clean, and the lobby is also kept clean. I have stayed in three different rooms they offer. A room with a king size bed, a room with two queens, and a room with a queen and a couch that folds out. All of the rooms are non-smoking, and and many are pet ok; however it is a $20 fee per pet. The fee is per pet and non-refundable. The hotel has an ice machine (has not worked in over a month), an indoor pool, and offers breakfast in the am. Mainly cereal, waffle, the regular offering. My stays varied in cost. Average 90, but as low as 60 dollars, and as much as 150 with pet fee. I had two small breed dogs and on top of the room rate, taxes, and the dogs the room came to over $150. That is also at a discount through Priceline. Very steep for the room. I understood that there are some pet owners that are poor owners and allow the pets to do nasty business and not clean up, but the establishment also charges extra on top if the fee for damages. Some hotels will take a deposit before the room is rented out, and refund if the room checks out (good business in my opinion). So, the pet fee is really not necessary, but my complaint is not the fee, but the charge of per pet, and each and every night. Robbery. Three nights on top if the room we paid 120 dollars just for having a pet. Anyway horse beaten. The other complaint is the couch that folds out to a bed was broken. The kids were falling in a giant dip in the broken thing. To make a note- we were told the couch may not be great. it was evident how bad it was after it was slept on for a few hours. They have a TV, perhaps a 27" or so, not huge but not small, with cable. A fridge that is a decent size for hotel standards is also present. The bathroom is small, but it doesnt include the sink; the sink is outside the bathroom area. The hotel is relatively quiet and no complaints about anything seedy going on. The staff are nice, and all have been polite and kind. Well except two, and fortunately one of them is only present during the night shift (purposefully perhaps). Regardless of what is asked of her she is snappy back, and has R.B.F. rest of the others are awesome. The major set back during each stay is the pool. It is only open from 12 until 12. Many hotels we stay offer it 24 hours, or reopens at 8am for morning swimmers. Several times we arrive late in the evening, so the kiddos arent able to use the pool at arrival. Check out is at 11, and the pool opens an hour later. There isnt a lifeguard and rules are you watch your kids, so why such skimpy hours? At least have a morning time available. One thing to take note of, no elevators only stairs to the second floor. One stair in the lobby, and one at each end of the building. I like the multiple entrances because it is always a bit jarring carrying several bags of luggage, kids, dogs, through a lobby. But if you have a wheelchair, or have trouble with stairs make sure you get a bottom floor room. The breakfast is typical fair of cereal, a waffle, coffee, and juice. They had a couple packages of yogurt and breakfast pastries. Ok.I would continue to stay, but not as often due to owning pets. The bad: The pet fees, ice machine not getting fixed ever (why), and pool hours, oh and R.B.F. are the only setbacks. Prices can be hit and miss, but apps like Priceline sometimes have a great deal. The good: most if the staff are great, quite, multiple entrances (elevator would be nice to add if they add on, clean rooms, and next to food line McDonalds, Sharis, DQ, and a gas station. If you show your room key card at Sharis they give you a slice of pie.
Room smelled VERY old; you could still smell cigarette smoke from years of accumulation. The toilet in our room was NOT cleaned before we arrived, and there are urine stains on the floor...at 23:00 hours! The T.V.; only ONE channel. The remote worked to turn the unit on and off, and would turn the volume level wherever you wanted it, but no channel surfing allowed!
It was mediocre at best Week breakfast menu you have more trash cans in selections. Pool smelled like urine and my point backed up. They have a nice building in could really have a nice place if they would you step up with a service be :are and maybe do some plumbing.
Its pretty terrible .... Got a non smoking room and instantly was hit with the smell of cigarettes ... The furniture is falling apart, handles missing and chunks taken out, not to mention its just dirty, toliet paper on the floor, dirt, and stains on the carpet. Certainly not worth the $100+ a night .....
We bought a new house but cant move in yet so we are staying here. The crew is so nice and very helpful. Hotel is very nice and quiet. We would definitely stay here again!
This hotel is my go-to when I come back to visit family in Port Orchard. Not only is it close to my folks home, its also close to State Route 16. However, do the increasing traffic along that road of Sedgwick and the freeway is becoming less and less and ideal location. The staff were great, the service was very good. And I didnt have to worry about my stay there
Absolutely disgusting room that my husband and three kids walked into. Cigarettes ashes left on the window sill in a non-smoking room, a random grease mess left on the night stand with multiple red splatter stains on the carpet. When we went to the customer service desk, they offered either to send someone to clean up or an air freshener. We did not feel safe and decided to leave.***UPDATE DUE TO GENERAL MANAGERS RESPONSE: Within 2 days, we received a sincere apology and full refund. The general manager is fairly new and brought in to remedy the issues we encountered. We wish him the best and hope the hotel can be turned around.
Conveniently located right off the freeway, we got a room with a Jacuzzi in our room and it was awesome!!! Also, we have always had good experiences with the staff and the indoor pool and hot tub is great!
I put 3 stars because it is dirty. The sheets were the only thing clean... I think they were clean. After an hour, my kids feet turned black. There were dead bugs on the bed and trash under the bed and heater. There was some hair in the tub too.
Rooms are nicer than the pictures.Rooms are small but updated. Tv channels kinda suck no regular PPV either.Went to use the pool and was told there " were towels in pool room." Found no towels.Lady that was on the evening shift was rather rude.Looked at me and flat out said " Are you here to sign in, because you better have a reservation otherwise your wasting your time."Breakfast was kinda pathetic 2 cereals some bread and fruit and yogurt. No pastries or other options were provided. This is a nice hotel if your in a pinch. But honestly we came up to seattle for vacation, to go to the city center and the olympic forest.I think we would have saved money and time by just paying a few more dollars and staying in seattle.I would reccomend this hotel for those passing through on buissness. But for family/personal vacations pay a few more bucks and go somewhere else. Its worth it!
Would leave 0 stars if I could. Terrible people in the room next to us. Slamming doors, banging on them, screaming children. All this until 10 or 11 at night. Cops showed up. Hotel staff did nothing even through we were far from the first to complain. Room was not even that nice. Floors looked like they had not been cleaned in who knows how long. Just avoid this place if at all possible.
The two employees that I had contact with working there didnt seem to enjoy their jobs much and didnt have much for personality that would be enjoyed by others. The hotel in general looks dated. So dated you might think it was your grandmothers house. Bed was comfy though.
When we arrived we were told that we had booked two rooms... Which we hadnt and the very unpleasant front desk woman begrudgingly took us off the room that we didnt reserve. She was not friendly. At all. The room was clean and nice though. Good enough for a nights stay while visiting family. The Continental breakfast is served in a very small room and there is only one table. Luckily there is a Sharis directly across the street. All in all. Not bad for sleeping, horrible night staff, Sharis across the street.
Its pretty pricey, but they do have an indoor pool and jacuzzi. Just be aware that if your using your credit card, your bank will withhold at least $100.00 for a day or two. (Or until they get around to getting it back to you)
Room not clean, desk clerk rude. We put on a sign not to be disturbed they came in and took dirty towels but then did not replace. We were already undress so called down for them to bring up towels and they said no. I really liked all the traffic going to the restaurants across the street. They should not offer breakfast everything was old, will never stay here again or recommend to any friends coming up here. Ok
Rooms were nice and clean. I enjoyed both the pool and hot tub. Excercise room is adequate. Business center is a computer in lobby. They do offer breakfast in the morning cereal coffee and pastries. Only drawback is front desk person was not very friendly
Worse service, knew darn well it would be dicy but didnt click in my head until too late to change the reservations someone else made for us. Requested non smoking, room was painfully smoky. Asked for new room, was told booked for the night, found a room with promises of finding another for the next night. 3 other rooms had been smoked in. Promised to make it right but didnt get new roomm until 4pm, way way past nap time. Establishment is very dirty, pourly maintained, furniture is straight up discussing. Manager saw we had problems and just walked out the door. Expected cheap but this was discussing!!
NEGATIVELY NOTICED: Rooms stink like smokers, bad. Yuck. Awfull bathroom layout. Air conditioner crappy at best. Overpriced by my personal excpectations. And a Shamefull use of the word cont. Breakfast. Pretty disappointing breakfast for anyone other than those who need only fiber and plenty of it. Pool dosent open till noon! Which is Way to late, when checkout is also at noon! Check in at 4pm, but seemed to be flexable and tried to accommodate an earlier check in,. Seemed a bit touchy about noise, at very early hours, like 5 or 6 pm! Tiny, baby mice sized T.V.sNOTICED WITH POSITIVITY: very friendly staff! HELPFULL staff. Amazingly friendly, personable housekeeping staff. (All Great ladies in which i had tge pleasure of meeting.Friendly Kid friendly hotel. Pool open, and at good temp.(so many hotels pools are far to cold in my opinion). Pool open till midnite! (Good for us big people). Sheris right across the street! McDonalds across the street as well! As well as gas station/mini Mart for snack time wants! Also a Columbia bank in the same parking lot,so easy access to funds if needed.
Very helpful and courteous staff, particularly for our somewhat unique needs. Our room was clean, but had smelly potpourri and fragrance pouches in the air conditioner. Beware, there is no elevator to second floor rooms, which some may not like with bags.
The bed was very comfortable but the toilet was broken. The Jacuzzi jets were also broken on the hot tub so our hopes for a nice soak were dashed. The spa was just a warm pool. When flushed, the toilet in our room over flowed and we had to clean up toilet water on the floor. The carpet in our room had cigarette burns in it all over one area of the floor even though it was a non-smoking room. It didnt smell of smoke and the room was clean. Breakfast was crowded, simple and there was no place to sit. We had coffee and left. This hotel is right off the highway so its convenient. There are not really many amenities at this hotel. Good value if you just want a place to sleep.
We stay here a few times a year just to get away from the house and our usual life. The best rooms have a huge jetted tub in them, and theyre quite spacious. The breakfast is laughable, but for the price we cant really expect too much. They have a pool, though weve never used it. Seems to be popular with the other guests. Ice and vending machines are easily accessible, and the staff has always been friendly. Very clean rooms, and well-stocked with towels and clean bedding.
Rooms are overpriced, pool is pretty small and exercise room is TINY! May be a good stop-off when going to another destination, but I would search elsewhere if possible. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly though.
For a two night stay is fine. Anything more then that dont stay here. Staff is Great, but room outlets wouldnt allow me to charge my laptop, Breakfast consists of toast, cold cereal, coffee, juice and yogurts. Outdated rooms. Beds are OK, not great.
Excellent motel, staff incredible and easy going. They have a stoner and smoker corner that is awesome hospitality for Cannabis patients. Rooms are nice, clean, and great forest view on the backside. Easy access to restaurant Sharis next door, great food and staff there too. Overall, these folks made a difficult week, easy to manage and enjoy! Who needs luxury when you have a stoner corner?!!!
Lobby smelled like smoke and the staff was smoking outside entrance - seemed closer than the sign mandating 25 feet. Small rooms, serviceable enough. Breakfast pretty blah (we went to Sharis across the street the second morningand very small breakfast room.
I woke my family up early to make it to continental breakfast which consisted of frosted mini wheats, Raisin Bran, bread and bland coffee. We still had to go out for breakfast, then when we returned the front desk lady was out front, on the phone with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth saying the pool doesnt open until noon. Last night they told us 9 or 10. Poor customer service. Not the place to go if you care about the pool or breakfast.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are decent though there is some issues like broken furniture that has not been fixed or replaced and furniture that is well worn out due to use over its lifetime. There is also broken things in the hotel like an ice maker that has yet to be fixed which was over a week and half ago since I checked in to the hotel and found out it was broken. Overall decent staff run a dilapidated hotel and if more care and attention was taken toward other things in the hotel and rooms the rating on this hotel could be higher.
Staff is super nice. Temperature seemed a bit hard to regulate in our room. Blankets were so worn/ thin, we ended up borrowing blanket from mom who lives in the area. Other than that, breakfast is nice, place is clean. Good experience. Will stay again.
Decent room with standard amenities. Indoor pool is not much to talk about, except that its there. Workout room consists of a treadmill and TV. Laundry services are coin-operated (as expected). Breakfast has little variety, but at least is more than just coffee and doughnuts. Location is quite and close to WA 16 for easy access to everything nearby. Staff is friendly enough without being intrusive--no complaints there. In short, if youre just looking for a warm bed to sleep in, this Days Inn will meet the need.
On a scale from 1 to 10, room 107 would get an 8 for our two day stay 13 and 14 march 2014. There was an accumulation of dust and food crumbs behind the dresser. The rest of the room and the bath were clean. House keeping did a great job cleaning but forgot to replace the coffee in the room, but the Folgers served in the breakfast area was a short walk down the hall. Very quiet for the most part but the refrigerator was a bit noisy as it cycled off and on. Heater worked fine. Pet friendly with carpeting for $10/pet charge, (unlike free pet Motel 6 with nasty linoleum floors). Breakfast area very clean and well maintained during operating hours. Good waffle maker! I have to discredit the TV and Direct TV service: 1990s style CRT with worn picture tube, and half of the channels listed on the line up card were not received for some unknown reason. Its time to send the antique TV to the recycling company and switch to a satellite system that works. Slept great until the adjourning room turned on the shower at 6AM; we could easily hear conversations through the walls. WIFI free without password, noticed someone in the parking lot on line while walking the dogs--plenty of room for the dog to walk or run. Restaurants across the street.
