Days Inn by Wyndham Ocala West in Ocala

Appears to be old resort. Worn out facility. Pretty shabby. No breakfast because no help available. Parking lot is a disaster, chuck holes everywhere. Huge facility that is over the hill.

They are renovation 2/3rds of this place. They shouldnt even be booking rooms in what they currently have. Paint peeling off the walls, tiles missing and popping off the floor in the bathroom. The tub was disgusting, the room smelled of smoke, the carpet was nasty, they didnt even have enough towels for two guests. The parking lot has massive potholes. I would have rather stayed in one of the unfinished rooms because they honestly looked much better. Would possibly return after they open the renovation up.

I wish I could score a minus 50 because that’s what this deserves. Wyndham/Days Inn should be embarrassed and ashamed to offer this filthy bed bug roach hotel to anyone. The bedspreads had cigarette burns and tears. The sheets were dirty. The first towel I picked up had a long black hair on the inside fold. The shower was unusable it was so dirty couldn’t have been cleaned in years. Toilet only flushed by holding handle down. Sink didn’t drain well. The countertop under microwave was filthy with coffee spills never cleaned up. The walls were peeling and holes in the walls. The odor of filth and cigarette permeated throughout the entire building. The only clean area was at the service desk. The best part of that filthy haven was looking at it in my rear view mirror!

Very misleading online. I saw many really awesome reviews. I was expecting something pretty nice. It started when we pulled in huge pot holes all over the parking lot, entrance included. The check in area building is gorgeous. Then you go to the building where the rooms are in, cigarette butts everywhere, trash cans over flowing, beer bottles on the ground and then inside the building smelled like marijuana and beer. Our room wasnt too bad. The comforters were overly worn out but the bed smelled good and sheets and pillows were clean. I couldnt find any bed bugs or anything. Yes I check. So that was awesome. Bathroom seemed clean as well so we decided to stay as we were exhausted. Then it got cold. Very cold. The heater did not work at all. Front desk didnt have another room. Too bad for us. Then we noticed a lot of things in the room. Rusted shower head, a room badly in need of paint, dirty walls, lime around the sink and dirty broken plastic chairs on the deck. The big problem was that this hotel was supposed to be really nice and considered solid. Very unhappy... I would not recommend.

If I could give 0 I would! DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is disgusting and I am shocked Wyndham would put their name on it. TV did not work. Knob fell off shower faucet. Metal brackets sticking out of bed frame - cut my leg on it. Kevin at the front desk said it couldnt be too bad because I did not seek medical attention. (we carry a first aide kit with us). Even though convenient to the highway there are other hotels that are just as close and cannot be as bad as this one.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. Read the other reviews too. Stained furniture, dirty and stained bathtub, chain smoker and mildew smell, crater size pot holes in the parking lot, paper thin walls, leaking ceilings, and more. Rude man that works the counter at night. Please spend the extra couple bucks like I did to spend a night in a different safe and sanitary hotel an interstate exit away. This is not safe, sanitary, or worth the $60 bucks or so a night. Don’t make the same mistake I did…

The front desk people were nice. This place just needs to be bulldozed down and rebuilt. Its very old and dated. Rusted walls, paint, fixtures. Crumbling foundation, parking lot, walls with major holes, tile in shower missing and falling off. It was just a horrible experience. It wreaked of mold, mildew and smoke.

This motel has three buildings as far as I could see, but two of them are being renovated. The one building they are currently providing to their customers is downright awful. Old worn furniture, crumbling walls and ceilings, old cigarette burned blankets, stained carpets. The A/C unit did not work on heater mode with nightly temperatures getting into the 30s.The hot water was immediate in the shower, thats a plus, but the shower head is super low and the water pressure is pitiful. You have to bend down to get your hair washed.The driveways around the rooms are full of potholes. I had to book the room last minute and this was the only place reasonably priced, but I spent $130 per night to stay here which felt like a $40/ night kind of place. Hopefully things will be better when renovations are done.

I booked this hotel while attending a wedding in Ocala, the disappointment was incredible! Up arriving I received my keys, took my luggage to the room and left for a few hours. Upon my return I removed my mask to an unpleasant odor coming from the carpet. I walked into the bathroom and found thee most heavily stained bathtub ( I refused to step foot in it), black markings on the walls and a damaged door. The beds were rickity upon laying down!!The only reason I stayed overnight is because the other local hotels were booked for the night. Immediately, the following morning I booked a room with another hotel, it was a bit further from my event, but it was worth it. I took photos to support my statements and is hoping I can upload here.

If your just looking for a place to sleep might be ok other than that I felt it cost way too much for a hotel that was in my opinion filthy. The staff was mostly kind the maids were friendly but inside the office not too much. Shower heads look liked were dipped in dirt and looked like the bathroom had never been cleaned.

Very nasty inside and out. Even tho it is under going a update this wing needs a lot of TLC. Told front desk about the broken bed frame. No chair to set on at the table, hair dryer missing. So glad this was only a one nighter. This place smells. Carpet is very nasty, even the bath tub was beyond nasty, so, shower was skipped. Parking lot full of pot holes. This place isnt maintain. Only "cat nap" due to the nastiness. No breakfast offer, not even a brown bag type. Glad it was only a one nighter. Best advice: STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

This place is in quite disarray. One of the worst places Ive ever stayed. I do see they are renovating so hopefully that includes this room, however based on my experience I would NOT recommend nor would I return.

This place has no business charging over $100 for a room. The walls were peeling and stained. The tub was filthy. The non smoking room smelled like smoke. The door frame in the bathroom was rotting. Promise of free breakfast but did not deliver because of COVID. Take it off your ads then. Trash all over the property and in the lot-holed parking lot. Stairs were rusted. Dust and dirt was in every corner and on baseboards. Light switches didn’t work right. Balcony seems nice until you go out there and it’s filthy. Now I’m seeing rooms for $61 which is more appropriate. We paid $105 plus tax and it was more than disappointing. The bedding smelled musty. I don’t know what else to say except it was gross.

This place is the most disgusting hotel on the planet. The bed spread and blanket were covered in cigarette burns and some oily stains. The bathroom was so nasty I did not use it. The walls looked like someone spit toothpaste on them. The pool was green and there was no breakfast as advertised. The parking lot had no outside lighting and was full of potholes. Lastly, this is not a safe place. There were gangster like characters just hanging around outside the building.

THE MOST HORRIBLE HOTEL I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF SEEING. Please, I know this may sound dramatic or entitled but no matter what please don’t stay here. Two rooms we had were both covered in filth on the doors, walls, and rugs (stained black). The bathtub/shower area had mold all over and we couldn’t even step foot in it. The pool was dark green and closed, and we were not even let know about this. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else, or at least get the insurance so you leave and get your money back. Yeah I could go on, but you get the deal.

This particular Days Inn is Horrendous! Room was filthy ( walls, doors, bathroom). Beds were not comfortable. Nothing good to say about my stay.Pictures on their sites are very misleading.I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Disliked · Parking lot was full of pot holes. The beds were broken down. The shower/tub was filthy and had mold. Roaches and ants. Pool was out of service. No breakfast as advertised. When staff was questioned about these discrepancies he became very rude and vulger (name calling).

This hotel is horrible. The room is not clean at all! Cracked walls, dirty windows. Smells really bad in the hallways. Do not recommend at all! Especially if you have kids!

I totally didnt read the reviews, I read Wyndham and thought it was a scale up place. Went for the cheapest hotel online and got what I paid for. The stairs were rusty, the bathroom door didnt fully close, the carpet was dirty, walls stained, and I cant even describe the odor! The customer service and the lobby make the whole facility seem like a very nice place, but when you start driving the broken roadway to park you realize youre going to a very unkept place. My kids begged me to find another place but it was late and we needed to head out early next day so we had to survive the night.

Roaches, no trash can. Walls and carpet was filthy. Bathroom atrocious. Wall and tub were filthy. Drapes hanging off hooks. TV speaker broken ( you can hear background noise but not what anyone is saying). It served its purpose but for close to $100 , it was BAD.

Sliding door was open and moths were in the room; no shower curtain; stained/dirty towels; rotted door panels; smoke alarm alarm beeping through out the night; staff was rude in regards to the above. WIll NEVER BOOK AT THIS HOTEL AGIAN. Booking.com stated free breakfast, but breakfast was no included.

Dirt and stains on the door, the walls the microwave was filthy. Dirty sheets. The bed skirt looked like someone stepped on it with dirty shoes. The lounge chair looked like someone urinated in it. Shower was brown and dingy. The carpet has not been cleaned since the 80s. I demanded a new room. Which was cleaner but not by much. Surfaces were a sticky. I had to Lysol everything. Staff was pleasant but I would be embarrassed if I was letting people stay in rooms in that condition.

this is the worst Wyndham hotel Ive ever stayed at. complete trap spot.. full time trap in fact.stay anywhere else in Ocala.. just not here.my first room was so nasty I should have left then. but I assumed..... well. just trust me here... dont do it.

This is an awful place! Roaches running all over the room, the doors and walls are black with filth. Floors are filthy and every corner has dirt and food in it. I will be asking for a better room in the morning, or I will be checking out 8 days early!

The first room smelled like someone just smoked a cigarette in it. The second room was so awful I started dry heaving from the smell. I was going to try to tough it out for that night. Called the front desk and canceled the 2nd night. Then I saw the tub. I was thoroughly disgusted. The mirror balanced on the coffee table is a nice touch.

The carpet was very dirty The sink and around it was very dirty and had calcium build up in the sink and long black hair around it. The tub was Nasty. The ceiling above the tub was pealing and falling off the tile grout was stained bad and there was calcium build up in it as well and the shower head had calcium build up and didnt work hardly at all. The refrigerator didnt work and when opened smelled like it had rotten meat in it. It was not a pleasant 4 night stay. And no breakfast at all even to take back to the room. The pool was closed as well. This was not disclosed during my booking.

Totally unacceptable, unless you absolutely dont have a place to stay at.The halls smelled. The room smelled.The bathroom floor was dirty. Wife wiped the floor with a white towel and it was so dirty. Didnt attempt the bed. The walls were dirty.We couldnt stand the smell.The pool didnt look inviting, wasnt sure if it was safe.We brought our bags in and didnt even unpack. We saw all the filth and went back and canceled our stay.Disgusting and an embarrassment to the Wyndham name.Not sure why someone from corporate isnt doing anything. We will never stay in a Days Inn.

From the lobby to the hallways and the rooms, everything smells so bad. Our room had a particularly bad odor that smelled like a mix of moldy water and urine. The shower was cracked and had a hole in it.You get what you pay for! We checked out and went somewhere nicer.

Room was Smokey smelling. Sliding glass door was broken. No extra sheets available. Bed was very saggy in the middle. Woken up by loud people a few times during the night. Dingy and dirty looking all around. It was FINE for ONE NIGHT ONLY. Would not stay here again. Spring for something a little nicer. Not worth $75/night.

When arriving at this hotel, the lobby was nice, as was the front desk attendant. Driving back, there were pot holes so large that could really mess up your vehicle. There are people who are clearly living here with laundry hung up outside and litter and debris. The cops were on the location for a call. Going up the stairs, you can clearly smell someone smoking Marijuana in various rooms as you pass them. Entering the hallway upstairs, the smell of smoke is so overpowering that it made me cough. I was hoping that the smell was better in our room, but as we open the door to our NON SMOKING room, the overpowering smell of cigarette smoke was even worse. The lights were on in the room. The beds were not made and had cigarette burns in the comforter. The bathtub was moldy and there was blood on the toilet seat. I have stayed in a lot of budget hotels for $70 per night and this was so bad, I would have rather slept in my vehicle. This place is unsanitary, even if we werent going through a global pandemic it would not meet hotel cleanliness standards. Judging by the environment, this is also not a safe place to stay, especially not if you have children with you. My husband and I returned our keys and cancelled the room. The front desk attendant cancelled with no problems, as I mentioned earlier, he was very pleasant and friendly, and it definitely isnt his fault that the owners of this hotel do not properly upkeep it. I would not recommend a dog that I didnt like to stay in this hotel. Do yourself a favor, and dont book a room at this hotel. I will never book here again.

It says free Continental Breakfast, but all you get is free coffee. I get that its Covid time, but they could at least provide something small or pre-packed that you can take up to your room. Then the hotel smells like pure cigarette smoke all around and the stairs were gross. With the bathroom the toilet whistled every time we flushed, the tub was very dingy and had draining issues (the sink tooand the rack above is rusty. I guess I couldnt expect much for the price.

Saw photos online. Looked very nice with balcony and pretty room. DONT BELIEVE THE PHOTOS. I SWEAR THEY ARE FROM ANOTHER HOTEL!!! Upon arrival I did did a quick drive around. Pot holes were like Iraq ! People were clearly living there. Junk and garbage spilling over the balconies. Cops were doing drive bys. Looks like a crack hotel. Certainly not a safe environment if youre traveling with children. Im going to follow up with trip advisor about this place because the photos are soooo deceiving.

This place is run by a bunch of crooks. Told me that they could not rent me a room because I didnt have proper identification but that they could store my belongings for a small fee. Then when I returned there to get my things the staff told me I had to wait for the owner. For the next 3 days I continued to rent my room because the staff kept telling me that the owner wasnt there that day. When the owner finally came to the property he told me that he had only stored my stuff for 3 days and then he threw it away. Which I know for a fact, saw it with my own 2 eyes, that it had been in the office when I first started asking for it and then the hotel had me trespassed so Im not even allowed to go on the property. I have had nothing but problems with Wyndham run hotels lately I would not recommend any of them to even my worst enemy.

Run dont let them ruin your vacation. Trash and big pot holes, dead scull of RAT at base of the stairs to room 131. Room very dirty! Vanity sprayed painted black and peeling. Carpet nasty! Could not stay tried to contact Wyndham customer service to help find another one of there hotels. Got the run around and then they tried to sell a time share! After my experience I have no faith in anything that has Wyndham name on it. After a formal complaint they still have not contacted me. I have pictures and video and plan to put on internet so other dont have to go through this!

This place is unclean! I was only in Ocala for a weekend and I have been very happy with other Days Inns in the past so I booked my stay. The musty smell in the hallway was almost choking me. It was disgusting at best. My room didnt smell so I decided to deal with it since you dont stay in the hallway. My room needed a real cleaning. There was still trash from the previous occupant sticking out from under the bed, cobwebs in 3 of the 4 corners, the bathroom looked as if it hadnt been swept in a while, the walls were crumbling at the bases, the furniture was scratched and beat up like it came from a yard sale, and there were these small beetles crawling around. I had checked in after 11pm so I didnt want to leave and find another place or I would have. The one positive thing I can give them is the pillows were comfortable. My advice is to avoid this place since there are plenty of other places to stay.

the Ac leaked all night making the carpet in our room wet and the smoke alarm chirped all night. They had moved us into this room because a man was staring us down and staying by our room door. the sliding glass door was also unlocked when we got there.. other than that they were super friendly

This place was disgusting! And thats an under statement. There was spit on the walls. Rust and mold in the bathroom. Dust on everything. Ants on the table. And it smelled bad, really bad. They gave us another room, walked in and roaches where crawling on the table by the door. That was it we left! I wish I had taken pictures but I just wanted to leave before I needed an antibiotic!

People are super friendly. You can definitely tell its an older place. Beds are comfortable, room enough for 4, microwave, fridge, and table a chairs. And its priced right. Could use more pillows. Pool is clear and clean, but not enough seating.

If I could give it zero, I would. The room was severely outdated and dirty/nasty. The staff was friendly but... The toilet had human waste in it. The shower was dirty. The beds were old and very squeaky, but we did find a dime. The lamp had suspicious brown spots inside the shade. The patio chair looked dry rotted. There were beer caps on the patio and a half-full bottle of what I hope was beer. There “was” a phone, but no handle and the cord had been cut. The carpet was pulled up in the corner. Just nasty. I have paid $20 for a room like this. Totally unacceptable for $85. Moved to another hotel, brand new Holiday Inn for $103.

This hotel does not even deserve one star. This is the most disgusting place I have ever had to pay to stay in. They should be ashamed to charge money for allowing us to say there. The premises were scary, dirty and the clientele even scarier. The bathroom was nothing like the pictures here - it looked like rats had been eating the molding and baseboards, looked like someone clawed the walls in the bathroom, the carpet was old and smelled even older if that is even possible. The counters - and I mean all of them, were ready to fall out of the wall. They were beat up, and had not been repaired or taken care of in years. There are sliding doors to the deserted side parking lot with undesirables who sit in their cars with the motor running just watching the building. Creepy. They would not even refund my money so we had to stay regardless. Could not use the facilities, had to get out and make a run for it. DONT STAY HERE.. And one more thing - since sleeping in their bed, I feel something crawling in my ear. The health department should shut them down. I had no idea you could charge rent for rooms in this condition.

Worst money I have ever spent. The room was disgusting! There was a booger on one of our pillows, spots on the sheets, the water pressure was nonexistent, the tub was dirty, there was a public hair on one of our towels, the whole room was dated, the sink wouldn’t drain, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long, and the hairdyer didn’t work. I wish they would have given us our money back. And I wish google would let you do negative stars. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The property is in a state of serious disrepair. The beds were horrible. The faucet was loose shower was clean but just needs to be replaced the beds were horrible. Our non smoking room had cigarettes stuffed in the a/c. The sliding door would not close all the way. The young lady who checked us in was upset because she got busy and could finish her food. The parking lot needs to be repaved. The room was way over priced for the conditions of the room. The electrical system is an accident waiting to happen our room was all from one outlet and a power strip. We got in late one night and I was scared to exit my vehicle. Breakfast was decent. The cleaning staff do a great job with what they have and are super nice and friendly. The location is great. It is close to the interstate as well as several eateries and gas stations.

The most dirty,disgusting hotel Ive EVER seen. We got 2 rooms, and both were FILTHY. The toilet paper rolls were empty,there was hair and a cockroach in the sink,there was a cockroach in the bathtub,which was also dirty,and there was an air dryer in the bathroom,along with sopping wet,dirty towels. Like maybe the toilet overflowed... And that was only one room. The other room had an equally nasty bathroom,minus the air dryer. There was a bowl sitting in the lobby that had pills and marijauna in it that belonged to a man sitting out front smoking a cigarette. We literally checked in and out in less than 20 minutes. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to ANYONE. In fact, Id warn people against going there. And although the girl refunded our money,(after seeing the pictures we tookthere was no offer of any type of consolation or compensation for our troubles. This was by far the absolute worst hotel experience weve EVER had,and we travel frequently.

We picked this hotel after the Days Inn North didnt honor our reservation so was happy to get a room. Staff very friendly. Room 201 on 2nd floor had a balcony. Bathroom in sad condition. Broken mirror frame, stains in paint, door coming apart, black grout stains, terrible tub stain and surface. Blankets on beds had stains but sheets and towels were clean. Morning desk person said he would tell the manager and apologized. Breakfast was good. Not worth $84 for the night.

Room had spots on the walls, whole shower had dirt streaks all over. Hardly any outlets left open. Was hard to find ice. Had to walk up stairs, no elevator. Door leads to an inside hallway between rooms, anyone could get in. However, balcony was nice, and the best of the room was fairly nice and clean. Fridge and microwave worked well. Breakfast was good. A rather half and half stay.

This place is a dump. No upkeep and dirty. It rained while we were there and the ceiling leaked. The walls, doors and trim were filthy...the paint chipped. The carpet was so dirty that your feet were black just walking fron the bathroom to the bed. A clear plastic garbage bag full of trash sat outside a room for over 2 days. They only cleaned our room once during a 3 night stay. They gave us fresh towels but did not change our sheets, did not vacuum because the plaster from the ceiling was still on the floor and they didnt wipe the bathroom counter or the drink rings on the laminate bedside table. Dont be fooled by the lobby...it is beautiful.

Very DIRTY !!! Staff is rude. First room she put us in, the floor was soaked by the bathroom and they had a fan blowing on it to try to dry it but it made the room stink like the toilet had over flowed. When we informed the front desk, she smarted off and said that the people prior didnt complain but did give us another room. This room was dirty, the shower was broke, the ceiling in the bathroom is about to fall in, and when I pulled back my sheets there was dirt in my bed. We are still trying to figure out whats on the wall. Im submitting a picture and maybe you can figure it out.

The bathtub ran all night. The carpet at the bathroom door was saturated due to the leak. The door to the patio was broken and secured with a stick. The lamp shades were broken and fell off when touched. One had yellow stains on it. The tub was slick with some kind of residue. The night clerk was unprofessional.i have severe disability and was not accommodated . The coffee station was awful and creamer was just a hard little brick. The only good thing I can say is that the bed was clean but one pillow was only half a pill in a full case.. Not a happy experience at all. Not recommend anyone stay there..

Okay for a quick stop. Carpet by bathroom was soaking wet. The carpet was especially dirty. The tub had broken faucet and the room was generally okay. The sheets were clean but the walls were scuffed and there was a patch in the ceiling from water damage. It just didnt feel clean. Price was very good and they did have a free breakfast.

The staff was nice, they allow pets, the breakfast was adequate, the lobby is beautiful. Thats all I can say nice about it, our room was a disaster, spots on the sheets, filthy carpets, old paint, the walls were dirty, bathroom door was torn up, rust on the lamps, moldy smell, the cleaning lady was cleaning the floors with a filthy mop bucket and bleach while we were eating, they put us in the back wing which I suspect was because we had a dog. We paid full price plus a pet fee so I feel like I got screwed with this crappy room. They claim the place has been remodeled but it obviously didnt apply to all the rooms. Absolutely disgusting room. Ill never stay here again.
