Days Inn by Wyndham Goldsboro in Goldsboro

I have to admit that I was nervous after reading the wide range of reviews for this place, but I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. Dont be fooled by what it looks like on the outside, this place was a hidden gem. The room was clean, bed and sheets were clean as well. Working AC, bathroom, fridge and microwave. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere. I would recommend a room with a view of the pool if you will be spending more time in your room and on the property as the view is nicer with a grassy area, instead of a view of the highway on the other side of the hotel. Staff was so nice and friendly, which made us feel more at home on our vacation. We saw no evidence of bugs or roaches whatsoever. My only complaint is that some of the outlets didnt work, but that wasnt a big deal and it would have been nice to have a table for two to sit at to eat meals.

The young lady working night shift was very professional, kind, and helpful with changing my reservation that I had made an error on. Accommodated my request with a lower level room due to my injury. Rooms were very clean, comfy bed, linens were very clean as well as the bathroom thats always a plus. Rates are a little high for location, however using a hotel app or signing up on a booking site you can get a great discount.

Only thing I liked were the beds. The room was dirty had to keep my shoes on at all times. Saw a big roach near the bathroom and another climbing up my daughter’s playpen. Mini fridge is dirty didn’t feel like leaving anything in there. The walls had stains! No refund to be given and have booked for 2 nights. Came down from Delaware and have always stayed in Days Inn and never encountered this type of problem. You get what you pay for.
