6600 Ritchie Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061, United States, Belvedere Park
Less than a mile from I-695, this casual, 3-story hotel is 6.6 miles from the Inner Harbor and 8.1 miles from the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The modern rooms all have en suite bathrooms with showers and tubs, and have free WiFi and TVs, as well as microwaves, minifridges and coffeemakers. Kids 17 and under stay free with a paying adult.A complimentary continental breakfast is included. There's also an outdoor pool, an exercise room, a business center and meeting space, as well as a free airport shuttle and parking for cars and large vehicles.
Just keep driving or risk taking roaches home with you. Not at all updated and items are dirty or rusted (refrigerator, microwave, & lamps). Remote may or may not have a back to hold the batteries in. Room phone may or may not work. Internet may or may not be able to be accessed with anything other than your cellphone. Not worth the amount they charged!
The only thing good about this Days inn is that you are allowed to have pets with a 20 charged of course. The workers here are not on the same page, not at all the rooms feel old and out dated. The 1st thing you think of is bed bugs, that was not the case for my stay no bugs but wingless moths that happen to hang around the door. It looks nice on the outside but the inside is full disappointment for the price they are asking for. The person that checked me and my dad in was nice and very professional. I can not say that for the rest of the staff. When you are being woke up for no reason after you have paid. No one wants to hear a door being banged on while you are sleeping when its not time for you to check out. I would by pass this hotel stay period.
Id give it no stars but, THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT. THE ON CALL MAINTENANCE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. THE FREE BREAKFAST CONSISTED OF AN APPLE, A SMALL YOGURT, AND A BREAKFAST BAR. THERE IS FREE COFFEE. UNFORTUNATELY WE HAD TO CLEAN OUR ROOM OF THE DUST. AND WE HAD A FAMILY WITH KIDS LEFT ALONE AND UP UNTIL 3 AM EACH NIGHT. WE COMPLAINED TO THE FRONT DESK MORNING AND NIGHT BUT NO ONE IT SEEMED COULD STOP THE NOISE. MOM SAID SHED SPEAK TO THEM. BUT.... WE TRIED THE HIP HOP CHICKEN,AND FISH RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR WE WERE WARNED ABOUT. THEY WERE RIGHT!! Hard fried greasy food, canned vegetables, overcooked mac&cheese. NOW YOUVE BEEN WARNED. THE HOTELS in an area with food, fine dining, and shopping. It was $109+tax a night. Im a native NEW YORKER, LIVING IN ATLANTA. NOT KNOWING THE AREA BUT KNOWING THE BRAND. DAYS INN. ILL SKIP THIS ONE NEXT TIME.
I book the hotel on line! Front desk took my self and wife ! this was a short drive from the inner Harbor ! Was there in 15 mins. room is clean and comfortable!
Tv was broken when my parents got there so 2 days with no tv. And their handicap bathroom was a tub with railing. Its okay if you can step over side of tub but its hard for either of my parents without risk of falling. But their managing with what they have.
We walked into our room and were immediately overwhelmed by the smell of cigar/cigarette smoke. We called the front desk and the staff member was perfectly nice and gave us a new room right away. However, the new room smells basically the same. There are plenty of signs threatening fees for smoking, but no evidence that this is actually enforced, or that they attempt to fix the smell if someone breaks the rule. The whole place needs updates, but that is to be expected for the price. Just can’t look past the smell because it makes the whole stay so unpleasant. Fortunately we are only here for one night.
Very expensive but its nice there. Pool and even have rooms for our pets as well for a small fee. The price is pretty hefty. But this hotel have some great views from the balcony.
I was deeply disappointed in this hotel. I called to verify that the hotel shuttle was available when my flight arrived at 10:35 pm, and was told yes, it was available. After waiting an hour and seeing all sorts of shuttles to other hotels go by, I called the hotel and was told that their service quit running at 5 pm. It cost me $55 to take a taxi to the hotel. I was also informed that there was a complimentary breakfast, there was not. When riding on the shuttle back to the airport the next morning, I mentioned it to a family traveling to an event. They advised that they too had been told that shuttle service was available for there return flight that arrived at 7:30 pm. I had called the manager to ask for a credit for the $55, who informed me that he would look into it and call me back, but that was Monday and it is now Thursday. In fact, while on the phone, the manager seemed to imply that I was the one lying. I will never book a Days Inn reservation again as they do not tell the truth and without the shuttle the costs for staying there of course increased $55. Oh, and he tried to tell me that no other hotels were utilizing their shuttles still due to Covid-19, but I saw many shuttles loading up their guests.
Couches in the rooms were stained. Ac unit was so loud we had to run it in the day when we were gone to cool the room and shut it off at night so we could sleep. They dont clean or restock towels if you stay multiple nights. I asked the cleaning lady for extra towels but she did seem to speak English. Guests were extremely loud. People kept throwing trash in the parking lot but the custodians cleaned up the parking lot quickly.
Room was clean and prepared well. Housekeeping came daily. This hotel was accessible to other stores and outings you could get to with ease. The hotel manager was helpful and assisted well. I found now issues with the room that I stayed in (toiletries were stocked, bedding fresh and clean, free of dirt, stains and bugs).
Cheap hotel so dont expect much. Stayed for 5 nights and only got the room cleaned once after threatening to check out. By day 3 we finally got sheets for the pull out bed. Sketchy people all hours of the night. Poor service.
The room was okay i guess. Refrigerator did not work good bed hard and when the next morning you have me service they come pick up all your towels make your bed but if you want to take a shower that night you cant because they dont mean you know towels and washcloths do nothing cuz they dont have any ready. The only thing that was good was the AC work very well
Staff was not friendly at all. After the website stating you had to be age of 18 years old, I booked the room, checked in at midnight with my daughter & was given complete attitude. I was told “never to book here again”. I won’t. It’s trash. It was the only hotel who had 18 as able to check in as our other hotel wouldn’t allow us. My bf is 21 & still wouldn’t allow him to check in. My room smelled like straight cigarette smoke. We won’t be back here. And for that staff member, she needs a new job.
Do not stay here. This was the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at and it was not cheap. My friend and I stayed here during COVID and it was not clean. The elevator buttons were disgusting. When we walked into our non-smoking room, it was strongly smelling of cigarettes and marijuana. The refrigerator was leaking all over the floor and the bathroom light would not stay on. Worst of all, there was a bunch of teenagers partying all night and doing drugs. We would have rather have slept in our car but in the middle of the night we were frankly a bit scared to walk out of our room with everything we could hear going on outside. I later called to complain and they offered a small refund, however after multiple emails and phone calls, that refund was never issued.
The person at the front desk was very nice when I checked in. Prior to arriving, I called and spoke with someone about my severe allergies and was assured the place would be clean. When I submitted my reservation, I included that in the box online. When I checked in, I repeated it. I was again assured I would have no issues. After 5 minutes in the room, my asthma began to kick in from the mold, mildew, and smoke. In addition, the room was dirty and the floor was sticky. My husband and I knew there was no way I could stay without becoming very ill. We went downstairs to check out. I explained the situation and the front desk person was able to see my distress. I am absolutely expecting a full refund of money and points. She said she had to speak to the manager. I chose the motel because Wyndhams name was attached to it and expected much more. I expect the refund because the hotel advertised falsely and promised expectations that they could not deliver.
The evening manager Courtney was amazing. I had a small issue with my room and she immediately upgraded the room and then did her due diligence to ensure my happiness for a fret free stay! The staff heee are courteous and prompt. Without Courtney I don’t know if my stay would have been so remarkable I thank her greatly for her care and bedside manner .... a greatly needed asset in the hospitality business.
I absolutely love every experience with Days Inn in Glen Burnie. Ive been staying with them every week for work and have received the best customer service Ive ever had from a hotel. Courtney, in particular, goes above and beyond to fix any situation or make any little thing better for my stay. She can juggle and fix anything thrown her way and always manages to keep a bright and friendly attitude while doing it. She even books my reservations for me on a weekly basis! Ive never received such friendly or helpful treatment from any hotel staff member at any other hotel. Days Inn is truly excellent in their standards for customer service.
Do not ever work here they will put you through what they call “paid training” and then I had to stop after three days because of family problems the GM told me to call back when I was ready and he would save my position I called back two days later they gave my position away and then I asked about my paycheck and he reply’s with what paycheck you didn’t even make it on the schedule I said I was on the schedule you took me off until I was ready to come back and then offered me a position I did not want and still kept telling me what pay and then they would not give me my three days pay the GM DB is his name said he would contact HR and let them know now he is ignoring my phone calls so needless to say this place is very unprofessional and now the management is very unprofessional any business or company would of had my check with everybody else’s on pay day. Very unprofessional establishment and their rooms are disgusting as well.
It was affordable and available. It has a dead end parking spot which is practically dark. Being that I had just arrived from the airport and was exhausted I was not going to park in darkness. So I had to drive back around to the front on the main road near the MVA. The breakfast nook is just that. As I waited to use the waffle maker some woman ran up on me with a jar. She didn’t say anything just stood in front of me. Took me a minute to focus to see the jar had place tickets in here. All she had to was speak. I only mention this because when another customer came into the breakfast area she didn’t approach her. She was able to make her breakfast without any intrusion. I’ll leave it at that. The king size bed was comfortable. I slept on it with my blankets and not under the covers. My neighbors were smoking weed all night and having a party. Luckily for me I popped some unisom and was able to sleep through it. The morning cleaning women was very rude and by the way she was going in and out of rooms I highly doubt she cleans well. Can not recommend this hotel.
The room was very clean. It was a hotel room. They did not have senior discount but they bumped us to a business suite. It had a couch and a nice desk chair. The king bed was comfortable...However... The room walls were VERY THIN. No need to say more. Children were allowed to run around on the balcony at 11 oclock at night yelling and laughing while the parents were entertaining friends next to us. On the other side people were entertaining friends also late into the night. It was not a quiet place to stay that night. Its a hotel.
Outside is dirty. Housekeeping staff is nice, but barely speak English. This is the first hotel Ive ever been to that forbids guests from taking their breakfast foods to their rooms. During our stay they started issuing out tickets at breakfast because they experienced people coming off the street to steal food. It was, however, the cheapest hotel in the area so you got what you paid for.
Only thing I didnt like was the fact that the room had hardwood floors. Other than that I had a very pleasant stay. Loved the front desk agent Courtney she was wonderful. She gets a 5 star rating. Will definitely be coming back.
Very noisy hotel. All rooms have outside entrance only. Did not fall asleep till 5amFront desk staff was very nice, but rooms were old, old televisions. Just a bad visit. If I was offered a free room I would not stay again.
Wow checked in for for the bmx nationals. The place was very scary. And dirty and unkept. Elevator was loud and scary. couldnt find ice or vending area. Phone only called front desk. When on last room on 3rd floor. Back corner behind bathroom door looked like blood splatter. Some outlets didnt work fridge was off. TV made a humming sound. Armoires doors werent fastened. Mind you we had known as in room The interior looked nicer until I turned lights on. Filthy laminate. Undusted furniture. Dresser drawers havent been dusted in a long time. Unless a pet was here. Stains on walls. Im really upset now that I didnt use my employee discount. Its not worth price. Disappointed when I m a manager for another Wyndham property in another state. Never again!
The saying is you get what you pay for. However in this case it is not true because I’ve paid $110/night for better accommodations. Unfortunately, I was looking for a one night stay for memorial weekend and many of the nicer hotels were priced similarly but located near the BWI airport, and I just didn’t want to deal with the airport traffic. This hotel appeared to be decent online, which it is but it’s definitely not worth $110/night. This doesn’t appear to be a “roach motel” or “trap hotel” but it’s about one cracked ceiling from being just that. Upon entering the lobby there is a sign that states “ pardon our mess” in regards to renovations. I didn’t see any signs of renovations taking place but there were people working on the outside pool. You would think the pool would be up and running for Memorial Day weekend but then again I was only here for one night. Upon check-in, the employee appeared busy and non-chalant as if he wasn’t happy to be at work or just not having a good day. Although, he was not rude it’s just nicer for welcoming staff to make eye contact and engage with customers with a smile. As my family of four went to our room, the elevator was old, very small and very scary. Overall the room was clean and neatly arranged but there were 3 dead bugs on the floor. The rooms are extremely outdated from the furniture to the paint. I can’t give any stars for cleanliness after I saw the dead bugs. Would I stay at another Days Inn again? Absolutely not, Wyndham typically has nice accommodations so I may just stick to they main franchise. The breakfast was okay, I honestly didn’t care for it. The boiled eggs smelled and tasted old, the sausages were not cooked well enough, the orange, lemonade and apple juice was made for a diabetic, but it’s the thought that counts I guess.
This used to be a very good, economic, clean hotel to stay in years ago. Unfortunately it has gone so downhill I cant even give it more than one star- and I have stayed here many many times. The reason for my review at this point is for the following reasons: there are very shady people that they allow to stay at this hotel, who come and go in different rooms hour by hour, the same women with different men...I think you can take my meaning there...if thats not enough there are barely any accommodations, everything is so cheap and old they were doing renovations outside of my room spackling and caulking the ceiling full of big holes instead of getting it fixed properly. There are no smoking signs everywhere, but the hotel room smelled very musty and when I checked out and went to get my deposit back, I was accused of smoking in my room! I am a smoker, my clothes probably smell of smoke, I can understand someone drawing that conclusion... but when I calmly told the manager I did not smoke in the room and took him to the balcony and showed him all of my cigarette butts outside, he still did not believe me and barely gave me my deposit back. I wish I could have smoked in the room, because then I wouldnt have had to have seen the illicit activities going on around me, and feeling entirely unsafe walking outside of my room to simply smoke a cigarette. If you do or dont know Maryland it doesnt matter, stay away from this hotel, spend an extra twenty bucks and get a nice clean upgraded room. Service is non-existent, the furniture is a hundred years old and very poor reparations are going on. And trust me when I tell you, you dont want your family in a place like that with the things that are going on.
Upon arriving the customer services SUCKED , when i got to my room it was holes in the curtains someone stuffed with tissue holes in the bathroom stuffed with tissue, while the other guest that was with me used the bathroom while i went to front desk a BED BUG CRAWLED out of the whole where the tissue was stuffed !! When i told the front desk worker “Sonia” she was very rude and said she can give me another room i told her i wanted my money back and was going to check out. She told me it was no manager onsite & i could not be refunded ! i asked for the number she gave me the hotel number . I then proceeded to go get my belongs out of my room and “Sonia” called the room phone FIVE TIMES threatening not to check me out if i don’t bring the keys i told her when i was done i was going to bring them she still continued to call upstairs and harass me.
We stayed at another Days in last night so we expected the worst. Exactly opposite!! We were early for check in and the woman at the front desk was great. This hotel was clean and very very comfortable. She made it a very smooth transaction and we would definitely stay here again next time we cruise out of Baltimore .
My room heater did not work. We froze all night. A roach also crawled on the night stand by the bed we were sleeping on. Another by the bathroom. Nasty. Someones long black hair was all over the room as well. Motel 6 is better than this place
I gave 3 stars because of the staff. Mr Jay was soft warm & kind. The overnight man was generous by immediately switching my room & not being judgemental. The assiatant manager was a very courteous and kind woman.I scheduled in advance because it was my 1st day off from a 7 day work week schedule (in 3 months). My room was warm & I appreciated the non ripped curtains, non scratched or warped furniture & free breakfast.I unpacked showered took a melatonin & layed down.. sleep finally!!Hmm 😒 it seems there was another guest in my bed..Ohh My my my!!!...I was expedited to another room however I napped on sofa after I requested additional sheets..to cover sofa in the 2nd room.Never got to meet the manager however the assistant manager was very kind & sweet.Thank you for washing my clothes Days Inn however I would have appreciated a "Total Refund".
Rooms are nice when you first walk in, then of course bathroom area very dirty. Says smoke free but yhen has smoking area all over near rooms, so when ever someone smokes oitside you smell it in your room. Very disgusting. I ended up with a headache and felt sick the rest of the night. The area is terrible also. Had people yelling and screaming outside the door most of the night talking about sex and doing drugs. I will never stay here again.
I cannot believe what I got into. We were going to a memorial service in Severna Park and was not aware of the area. A quick scan of the hotel, not enough. This place does not have the right to call it a Days Inn. It is more or less a home for the homeless. Shame on you. The rooms are dirty. the hotel is falling apart and my family who were in the exercise room saw a roach. I would not recommend this place to dogs.
First the place smells like smoke. Very sketchy! The shuttle we were to take at 10am left at 9:45am just before we came down. Im still waiting for it and it is 10:25. The place is very out dated. We had a huge nasty bug in our room. Would highly not recommend not worth the money.Update 1 shuttle came and left with out taking people just dropped people off finally got a shuttle at 10:45 and he wouldnt take peo pool kr at first that had reservations for 11am even thought we had room with alittle talking to he took them.
This was hands down the worst hotel/motel experience of my life. The staff was awfully rude the room smelt like nicotine, there was a cockroach in the room and blood stains on the bed skirt. We got a full refund and the manager of the (hotel his name is jaystarting yelling across the lobby that”we have no money that is why we are leaving”. Much much more to complain about but I don’t have enough time to write it all. I plan on calling corporate, and maybe even board of health.0/10 I had to put one star to post this but it is zero stars.
Well this is a hole. I didnt even make it into checking in. Based strictly on the outside appearance and overhearing a customer complain that they werent sure if the room was "cleaned" or not had me scrambling out of there. So I did make it as far as the hotel entrance which had a super interesting hotel. Im gonna mark this up as a $115 loss and just sleep in the car as I fumble across the parking lot that had at least one broken down car and random tire...oh and shopping carts.
Have been going to this hotel every summer for the past 4 years. This was the only year that I didnt give a 5 star rating. I requested a room facing the pool downstairs and they gave us a room upstairs facing a parking lot. In the morning for check out, they called the room and threatened to charge a late check out fee...it was only 11:15am. Room was clean and had been updated from last year. Not a bad experience but didnt appreciate the threat.
The management is aware of regular problems with the refrigerators and dampness in rooms but doesnt fix the problem. They just come through and clean if you complain. The rooms do not have proper ventilation and mold seems to also be a regular problem. The rooms are non smoking, but when people smoke outside their rooms the smell gets pulled into the rooms that are adjacent due to the wall mounted AC units. I will say that the rooms are cheap enough and theres a solid breakfast spread that partially made up for the other problems, but I would not stay here again.
Rooms are OK. Price is high guess its the area your paying for. I had to move rooms three times due to a/c not working, card reader on door was broke & size of the room. Would not recommend staying here at all unless your OK with moving your stuff around.
The room was nice. The beds are comfortable and sleep good. The neighborhood is questionable and there are individuals in the stairwells smoking what smelled like pot. When we walked in the lobby, had to wait five minutes for somebody to come to the desk. Once he came, he was somewhat helpful but didn’t put our two rooms together as requested and the hotel was not full. Also, one of our rooms have been booked in advance on a website when we walked in the lobby, had to wait five minutes for somebody to come to the desk. Once he came, he was somewhat helpful but didn’t put our two rooms together as requested and the hotel was not full. Also, one of our rooms have been booked in advance on a website Where you can park here for the week and get a shuttle ride to the cruise port. That’s a nice benefit and the website acted like it was taking payment for the room and cruise combo but it only took the cruise parking and ride portion of $23 and when we got at the hotel we were informed this was a $23 deposit and didn’t count towards the cruise and ride. Very shady. Always do it through the hotel directly and not website.
We stayed at the Days Inn in South Glen Burnie on June 1, 2018. Upon arrival, it was obvious this hotel was in need of extreme repair and updating. The chairs in the lobby were filthy and looked to be falling apart. While walking to our room, we noticed that entire complex was run down and this made us very uneasy. Our room smelled of smoke very bad, the refrigerator made a loud noise all night long. Around 10:30 at night we heard people outside our room door talking and cursing very loud with no respect for anyone else staying there. This went on until 3:30 in the morning. Someone had obviously called the front desk because we heard one of the people outside say the didnt give a "F" who complained, they were not going to be quiet. We did not get any sleep all night. The next morning we noticed a young lady sitting on the dirty ground outside her room door in what can only can be characterized as being in some form of drug induced situation. We did not feel at all safe at this facility and could not understand why no one walked the grounds for security purposes. This motel needs to be looked into as in my opinion there appears to be some very nefarious things going on. We would never recommend this hotel to anyone. we were supposed to stay for 2 nights and we cancelled our second night as we were not going to endure another night there.
Terrible stay. Had Bedbugs in both beds in the room. Staff was not very apologetic or sympathetic. They said they would follow up but didnt. Very disturbed. Hotel is old and dirty. Very noisy and walls are very thin, you hear everything.
Idk why this place has bad ratings . I traveled here and know there area a bit. They have parking lot, complementary cookies at front desk smells great brochures at waiting area conceriage they have wood floors updated bathrooms and bedding and a POOL and free wifi and breakfast.**Update ** upon checkout I decided to lower my rating because the housekeeping did not do bed for the whole two days I stayedstayed nor changed towels ..I know they have this whole eco friendly thing going on now but we placed our towels on floor for them to be reached . And the bed I dont understand how lazy housekeeping has to be need new staff !!!
Great location if you have to get to the Baltimore-Washington airport quickly during rush hour. It is close to the airport but not so close that you hear planes flying. I like that the sink is outside of the bathroom. They have a fridge and a microwave in each room. The bed was Comfortable. Not a big fan of the breakfast but it will take the edge off. Could be cleaner. Not a fan of the smokers smoking right in front of their rooms. If you forgot to pack something you can quickly walked a giant and pick it up.
Newly renovated in late 2017. The renovation negates many of the older reviews. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Nice wood floors, no bugs or smells. Pleasant staff. The breakfast was much better than expected. Four cereals, oatmeal, yogurts, eggs, sausage, potatoes, coffee, tea, etc. I doubt that there are any problems with crime in the area as a brand new Giant and Lowes were built next door. Hey, its an older Days Inn but they upped their game. We enjoyed our overnight stay and we will return.
Called from airport for pick up, told 15 min. Arrived 45 later. Upon arrival at hotel told the room we booked was not avail (which was handicap accessible). Given different, non accessible room, without room discount. Room was half run down, half upgraded. Few channels, bad reception (blurry). Breakfast was ok, didnt taste that great. Flight home departs at 10a. Went to front desk at 815a to check out and get ride to airport only to be told no one would be able to give us a ride till 10a. Not a relaxing stay to say the least.
Rooms are filthy! One handicapped room in all hotel and it is on 3rd floor all the way on the other end of the corridor from the elevator. Elevator broke down. Had to go down 3 flights of stairs in the rain. Almost fell. Begged for help. Heating/ air system smells like cigarette smoke. Staff is rude and outdoor pool leaves much to be desired. Free Breakfast is ok.
I loved my stay, we are already planning our next visit and will be staying at the Days Inn hotel again. The staff were lovely, kind and courteous. The hotel also had a pool, which we had the pleasure to enjoy along with other guests whom were also very kind.
Ive stayed at this hotel several nights over the past 5 years. It is becoming dated. The elevator is "down" but I havent seen any signs of repair attempts over the past three days. This time, we find the beds are hard and lumpy, but it is mostly clean and feels safe.
The carpet had weird stains. The toilet didnt work properly in the room. Both issues went fixed even though we filled out a please fix this form. The microwave didnt work but we didnt need it so we didnt ask for it to be fixed. The one bed was like a rock while the other was okay. All the pillows were half sized because all the stuffing was breaking down and just pushed to one side. The water pressure in the shower was bad.
Despite what I read from other reviews. I was presently surprised. Room was clean bed was decent. Breakfast was typical. Full of carbs high in sweets but I am a type 1 diabetic so I had yogurt. We used the park and stay feature. For the money and a one way night stay. This was a reasonable place to stay. Staff were polite and friendly. I would stay here again.
