Descent place to crash but definitely bring your own pillow and plan on going elsewhere for breakfast. Our room was clean and thats a big plus

Friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms, nice breakfast. The only thing I wish they would have had is automatic doors. It was difficult to get a wheelchair in and out of the doors.

Room prices are costly.The people upstairs sounded like they were playing basketball.The tv only can in Spanish speaking channels.We called the front desk and was told the TV problem was the fault of the service provider. The loud neighbors never did stop even when we ask to have someone speak to them.The day shift never knew of our problems. The night shift never mention them.We will find somewhere else to stay next timeWhen we ask for something off our bill they just passed the buck to the manager who just happen not to be in that day.NEVER AGAIN.

I live in town and my sister came to visit from downstate, she has a lot of health issues and mold and things like that really bother her. The room was so clean and fresh and they were just wonderful all around. I would recommend this hotel to anybody and it is the only one I will recommend other than the airbnbs I work at LOL. Also, if there are any people who enjoy Rock hunting like fossils Petoskey stones and such their entire outdoor area has tons and tons of rocks like that

190.00 a night at a super 8……. San Diego prices!Safe place, plenty parking, rooms all new furniture, except 1980’s AC unit blew hot air.Breakfast only thing hot toast or waffles. Really only reason I give 4 stars way over priced.

Older hotel, but has remodeled rooms. I stayed 4 nights and was very happy. I had a king room near the pool. The room was very clean. Room has small fridge, microwave, dresser, work desk, and loveseat. Bathroom was small, but adequate with a tub/shower. Linens were plentiful. There are multiple power outlets with USB outlets. The hotel was busy when I stayed, but not noisy.The pool and jacuzzi were refreshing. The jacuzzi temp was nice and hot and the pool was about 80. Both were clean and plenty of pool towels were available.Breakfast was very basic; Breads, cold cereal, and oatmeal.Several restaurants nearby include Applebees, McDonalds, Culvers, Subway, Hunan Chinese, Biggby Coffee. Meijer and Walmart close.Overall, I will stay again. Hotel choices in Alpena are limited, but this is a good choice.

This waS 5 star for location and room. You are 5 to 10 minutes from downtown Alpena and Starlite beach. Meijer and Walmart are right down the road as well for supplies. The pictures of beds and room online were spot on. Beds were comfy and TV you get direct TV with tons of channels. Pool was nice for our kids on rainy days and the outdoor grass area was nice to relax outside after a long day at the beach. Room service staff was 3 or 4 people they will get your room just takes time so be patient. Will stay here again.

I hate leaving a 1 star review but I was not happy with the attitude of the older front desk lady. I was very happy with the young lady we checked in with. You are in the customer service industry. Just don’t be rude to your guests…. The rooms were clean, I will say that.

Rooms were clean and updated, although was disappointed with some of staff interactions. Stayed at another hotel nearby and was treated with so much more respect and accommodations for our honeymoon. Don’t even bother asking for extended check out time! Very rude response from front desk woman.

I would never recommend or frequent this place. The bathroom vent fan was so filthy cobwebs covered it. The floor in the room was terrible it felt as you might fall through it. Very disappointed with the whole experience. Tacky to say the least. I should have stayed at the Holiday Day Express.

They have tried to remodel a very old motel. Popcorn cealings, doors stick open unless you force them closed. Heater didnt work. They were very nice about bringing me a plug in heater. They were prepared for the complaint.

I was pleasantly surprised by this motel. I always thought of Days Inn as being at the bottom of the inexpensive motels. Not this place. It was very clean and spacious. They are renovating other rooms to make the place even better.

Quick check in,room comfy,quiet sleep.Bathtub in rm 106 SUPER SLOW to fill but it eventually did.Only 1 regular in room coffee pod in room for two guests?Continental breakfast included (waffles, toast, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, apples, precooked ready to be microwaved omelette, juice, tea, coffee).There was an indoor pool, we didnt visit.

Me and my husband stayed here April 8th and 9th.. Our pleasant encounter started when I made reservations and they were very polite and accommodating, The night we checked in the fella working the desk was very friendly and helpful as to suggest a place to grab dinner, it was getting late and we were tired and hungry, The room was a king bed and it was very clean and smelled refreshing, it had a desk and chair, and Chair and ottoman, a fridge that was nice size, along with a microwave and TV. Plenty of room to move around, the shower was amazing with excellent water pressure.. We are very pleased and look forward to the rest of our weekend, and will definitely stay here when were in town!!!

The continental breakfast was simple. Offering only apples for fruit. The waffle mix was strange, or the griddle was not right because the waffles came out dry and in pieces. But tasted ok. The king bed is awesome and comfy. And the water was nice and hot in our jacuzzi was great. 😎
